A beautifully modern yet very cozy restaurant. The food was absolutely fantastic! We had spring and summer rolls as well as chicken char siu for starters, followed by a yellow curry with duck and a yellow curry with tiger prawns, respectively. Simply superb!!! The Primitivo was also delicious, and the service was very friendly, witty, and efficient. It was our first time there, and we will definitely be back! A huge thank you for this wonderful evening!!!

A nicely decorated, inexpensive Vietnamese restaurant. However, the food didn't impress me.

The restaurant is quite nice, but it doesn't offer much. You eat Vietnamese food, but unfortunately, you don't taste it at all. The website says vegan, but the vegan options are minimal. Our order was forgotten, and we sat around for 40 minutes before they realized we'd been overlooked. Food is a matter of taste, and we didn't enjoy it. It's unfortunately very much adapted to "German palates" and didn't taste authentic enough. I'm only giving the service three stars because they took my wife's birthday into consideration; otherwise, it was really bad. A lot of time passed before we were even able to place our order. At one point, a woman came in and started singing Christmas carols loudly; she hadn't been invited. In my opinion, the restaurant should prevent this kind of behavior. The evening was difficult to endure.

We stumbled upon the restaurant quite by chance on a Saturday evening and were given a table for two after only a 10-minute wait. The service was perfect: friendly, quick, and competent. The restaurant is beautifully decorated: bright, welcoming, and modern, and the food is the icing on the cake in every respect: rarely do we find such fresh, high-quality, and perfectly prepared dishes, and all without a long wait. The curry was wonderfully aromatic and full of fresh vegetables, and the duck was the juiciest and most tender duck we've ever eaten, with crispy skin nonetheless. We were thrilled and highly recommend a visit; for lovers of Vietnamese cuisine, this is an absolute highlight!

Very good Vietnamese restaurant. We spontaneously got a table outside. The food was delicious. However, the waitress didn't want to order our food and drinks right away, insisting on bringing us the drinks first before we could order our food… which unfortunately resulted in unnecessary waiting.

My wife has been coming here for a while, and today I finally made it. I'm really sorry I've been so late finding this place. Not just because of the food, which is simply delicious! But also because of the overall atmosphere that's been created here. (The restrooms are very nice and well-maintained, too.)

From A to Z everything was great

Clean, cozy, and elegant interior design (actually, only one restroom is very clean, but a bit tight). Very good service: friendly, fast, attentive, funny, and thorough! Very good quality food and great value for money. I'd happily go back, but you should definitely make a reservation in advance. Starter, main course, and three drinks for under €50 is a steal on the RÜ. :)

My partner and daughter and I spontaneously went in one evening because of the good reviews. The restaurant was completely empty except for one table, but according to the employee, it was fully booked, so he could only offer us a table for about two hours, which would have been perfectly adequate for us. However, the employee then said the stroller had to go down to the basement. He didn't know where our newborn daughter would go either. Since there seemed to be no solution for this, and the man clearly wasn't interested in customers, we went elsewhere for dinner.

The ambiance was nice; a lot has changed in this regard since opening a few years ago, and overall, a high-quality atmosphere has been created. This is reflected – actually quite reasonably – in the prices. The food, however, doesn't seem to have kept pace with this development, at least that was our experience: The chicken char siu with Viet peanut dip was tough and cold, and the skin-roasted duck turned out to be fried all over, not skin-roasted. The other dishes were okay, but just okay. It's a shame, you really used to be better! Now, it's just mediocre :-(

I'm a big fan of Asian food and try out Asian restaurants wherever I go. My Dad Made looks unassuming from the outside, but once you enter, it's a truly large restaurant with a separate, quiet outdoor area. You should definitely make a reservation, as almost every table was full every day and evening (I was there three times at different times). The food on the menu isn't overly elaborate and focuses on the dishes presented. You'll find guests of all ages and backgrounds here. I recommend simply letting the atmosphere wash over you, taking in the stunning pictures on the walls, having good conversations on the very comfortable furniture, and ultimately enjoying an excellent restaurant visit. I'll definitely be returning to this restaurant with its very friendly team.

Pho doesn't seem to be my cup of tea, but the food is generally very good. The music could be quieter, and the sofa I was sitting on was too low, but the drinks were very satisfying.

Food, especially the price-performance ratio, is great! Tasty, large portion, what more could you want. There is a small drawback: If you sit at the front of the door, you get cold every time, which is unpleasant in the long run. Maybe think about a little shielding.

A real highlight of Vietnamese cuisine! We were absolutely thrilled with our visit! As soon as we entered the restaurant we received an incredibly friendly welcome - the service was not only extremely attentive, but also warm and courteous. Even though we arrived a good 20 minutes before our actual reservation, that wasn't a problem at all - we were escorted straight to our table. The ambience is beautifully designed - stylish, warm and with loving details that perfectly underline the Asian touch. You immediately feel comfortable and welcome. The dishes were simply fantastic! Fresh, aromatic and with a clearly recognizable Vietnamese character. We particularly liked the starters - we definitely recommend trying several of them. Every single one was a pleasure! We'll definitely be happy to come back - an absolute insider tip for lovers of Vietnamese cuisine! 🌿🥢✨

We ordered summer rolls as an appetizer and got spring rolls. When pointed out, the waitress acted as if it didn't matter. Both operators were clearly at their limit. You could almost say it was a short fuse for both of them. I didn't dare speak to them at all. The food was very German. The taste is Vietnamese but very conservatively seasoned. Because of ambience, there is a construction site in front of the door. The street in front of the door has trams running there, which makes the ambience a bit darker. But inside it is very nicely decorated. A little more friendliness towards customers and a little spice in the food would do the restaurant a lot of good.

Eine frische Limonade kostet 8€ Sehr unangenehm und deshalb vergebe ich nur 3 Stern Bewertung war die Tatsache dass nach 2 Stunden Aufenthalt fast genötigt wurden das Restaurant zu verlassen. Es hieß die Reservierung sei nur für 2 Stunden gültig Also, demnächst werden wir ein anderes vietnamesisches Restaurant aufsuchen

Ich habe einen Tisch bei my dad made für 3 Personen plus Hund für 17ˋ30 h reserviert. Bei unserer Ankunft wurde uns in einem barschen Ton erklärt , dass wir den Hund weghalten sollten.Unser Tisch wurde uns zugewiesen, Mäntel ausgezogen und uns hingesetzt. Wir wurden vom Service im schroffen Ton darauf hingewiesen, dass der Hund nur unter dem Tisch zu sitzen hätte. Auf meinen Hinweis, dass mir der Tom nicht gefallen würde, wurde mit mir diskutiert, dass der aufen hätte. Hund nicht im Lokal herumzulaufen hätte. Obwohl er an der Leibe war. Er schaute ca. 30 cm unter dem Tisch hervor. Wir kennen dieses Lokal von seinen Anfängen und waren immer sehr zufrieden. Längere Zeit waren wir nicht dort ….. das Personal ist hektisch und arrogant, die Inneneinrichtung austauschbar, Essen war ok, aber nichts besonderes, leider war es außerdem sehr kalt in dem Lokal. Man kann leider dieses Restaurant nicht mehr weiter empfehlen, extrem weit von einem Asiaten entfernt . Höflichkeit lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig, mit Hund geht gar nicht . Sehr schade

Wir hatten mit Freunden einen Tisch für draußen reserviert, als wir pünktlich angekommen sind, teilte man uns mit, dass man unseren Tisch wegen schlechten Wetters storniert hat, aber auch kein Platz im Laden für uns sei. Auf die Frage, warum man uns vorher nicht informiert habe, wurde nur mit einem Schulterzucken reagiert. Wir werden sicherlich nicht wiederkommen.

Many positive preliminary reports and recommendations convinced us about the visit. Prices are consistently reasonable considering the quality of the products. Water is a bit expensive for our taste at €7 per liter. Beautifully prepared and something to behold. Service nice and attentive. We were served the wrong starter, but it was still very tasty. Personally, we think it could have been a little spicier, but opinions certainly vary. Overall, we had a nice evening and will definitely be happy to come back.

Beautiful, modern ambience with a European touch. Prices are reasonable, here you pay €17-25 for a main course. The service is quick and friendly. My pho arrived steaming and fresh, cilantro on a side plate, so it was easily avoided. Light and complex flavor, still feels like soul food despite the upscale feel. Can't complain about anything.

Delicious. Nice ambience. Nice service. Yes, it's not particularly cheap, but it's worth the money.

A restaurant with excellent Asian cuisine served in a pleasant atmosphere. The service was initially very good, but declined significantly after we finished our food. Nobody even asked if we would like to drink something else. The staff literally ignored us and kept running past without even noticing our empty glasses. When, after some time, we managed to get a waiter to respond to our requests, the beer was delivered but not the liqueur we had ordered. Even after we had eaten this round, no waiter came and asked for any further requests or drinks. We all had the impression that this was not an oversight, but rather a systemic action. When we paid we couldn't resist asking the waiter about it. In fact, the employee confirmed the procedure with the reason that some guests don't like being asked for more drinks after their meal... aaah yes... We didn't find the reason particularly credible and had the impression that the table was left quickly wanted to free it up again for new guests and additional sales. Conclusion: Good food, but not suitable for a cozy evening that goes beyond pure consumption. After half an evening, we decided to forego "dad made" dishes in the future and to visit the restaurants on the Rü, which give the impression that you remain welcome even after the meal. Recession from "Jahoodian" says something similar.

Schöne aber austauschbare Inneneinrichtung. Hier fühlt man sich nicht wie beim Asiaten. Essen war ok, nicht mehr. Es fehlte tatsächlich an den asiatischen Touch! (Geschmack, Gewürze). Preis/Leistung eher teuer. Service war nicht nennenswert. Kurz vor 22 Uhr kam die Rechnung ohne Anforderung. Der Laden schliesst um 22 Uhr! Es gibt bessere Vietnamese in der Stadt!!

We only ate there once before it was renovated. The dishes were excellent back then, but now it's really very inviting and both the homemade spring rolls and the main courses (duck and tiger prawns) were very well prepared. The Pinot Gris from Weinreich was at just the right temperature. Service was friendly and quick. Therefore, five stars.

Well, we would have liked to eat here, but that didn't happen. When we asked for a table we were told there was nothing available. There were 3 tables occupied in the entire restaurant at that time (6:00 p.m.). No one can tell me that all the other tables were occupied shortly after us. I don't know if this is a show to show spontaneous guests how popular the place is, but for us it led us to go to the Asian restaurant just up the street and from now on we will only eat there. I've never experienced a situation where we didn't get a table at such a time (regardless of whether it was a high-class restaurant or a burger joint). That's how you can scare away guests :)
