Muwu Grill House in München

Pure chaos! Despite having a reservation, we had to stand and wait for almost 15 minutes, even though there were several free tables. The hot pot broth took forever to heat up, wasting another 20 minutes on that. We ordered rice cakes because none of them made it to our table on the conveyor belt. It took the waitress another half hour to bring them. At the end, she told me the bill three times because I never added a tip. Then she had the nerve to ask if the service was good.

The service was good and the food was fresh.

For the first time in four years in Germany, I felt at home here. Everyone is friendly, especially the middle-aged man who I think is the manager. I highly recommend everyone try this restaurant at least once. His name is Xia.

Mixed reaction about this place. Service: we came as 3, informed the host at the entrance so he could advise us which table to go - he literally ignored us; while the rest of the customers were shown to their seats. When we were finally seated, the lady who served us was rude. For one, she was reeling in mandarin when we asked for clarifications about the food as she did not explained it clearly. Language problem? My husband and mom spoke mandarin to her and she kept insisting to use google translate. Then, she went over my head as I was eating to pass a plate of raw meat to the table next to our right. Was there ample path for her to walk over? Yes- but seemed went over my head was convenient. The convo with the next table took almost 4mins, btw. When we requested for more meat, she replied 'are you sure you gonna finish? I will need to charge additional'. When it's time to pay, she requested for tips (the audacity!! We should not normalize tipping when service was rude!!) Food: hotpot dinner @ €35.9/ pax, buffet style; you chose the soup(s) up to 2. For meat, the server will serve you, and you can request for more. There are cold and hot food options, too; with some fresh fruits, canned fruits and others. You can 'create' your own dipping sauce for the hotpot at the station. Cleanliness: acceptable, though they can be more attentive at the sauce station as some clean bowls were dirtied by other customers and it was left as such. Just a turn off.

The short-haired proprietress, who was also a waitress, was incredibly rude, especially towards Chinese people. She seated us in a small corner and her service was so poor it made my family feel terrible.

Unprofessional. In hindsight, I wish we had paid more attention to the one-star reviews – our experience was exactly the same. We were there yesterday (New Year's Eve) and ended up paying €45.90 per person for the hot pot instead of the €35.90 listed on the menu. On top of that, the hot pot couldn't really be called that at all; it was basically boiling water with frozen ingredients of questionable quality. The advertised price of €35.90 is unjustified, and certainly not our "special offer" of €45.90. Spend your hard-earned money somewhere else where you won't get ripped off.

It was great, I'd gladly come again. A nice mix of hot pot and Korean grill. Friendly service.

Really baffling how this place is anything more than 1 star - perhaps it’s reviewed by people who haven’t tried proper hotpot at all. Rude and dishonest service staff who get very frustrated at you when you ask for clarity on how the buffet works, lack of variety of food (horrible quality anyway), and most trays were empty for a long period before being refilled again. Just an awful environment. Really don’t bother with this place!

Excellent service. I don't think I've ever experienced such a hospitable waiter as the man who works there. He explained everything to us in detail, demonstrated the hotpot, and always asked if everything was alright. Very, very kind, incredible. For the price (43 EUR for the hotpot and Korean BBQ together), you get a truly exceptional meal.

The all-you-can-eat buffet wasn't replenished for over an hour, even though many compartments were empty. Despite repeated requests, the only response was that it would be replenished soon, but after more than an hour, nothing had been done. The hot pot for vegetarian dishes is not recommended. Unfortunately, the prices were very high, and the taste and service left much to be desired.

Initially, the restaurant made a good impression. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The broth for the hot pot was, in my opinion, under-seasoned and didn't meet my expectations. The meat also seemed rather bland, and I felt the squid was ethically sourced and questionable from an animal welfare perspective. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for vegetarians. On a positive note, the waiter was very polite and friendly. However, at the end of our visit, we were offered a drink, apparently with the intention of receiving a positive review. Therefore, we are refraining from leaving one.

I paid €50 for a buffet, but they never brought me the food I wanted. When I kept asking, they even refused to serve me. This is the worst buffet I've ever experienced. He claims it's an all-you-can-eat buffet where you can eat whatever you want. But the owner actually told me I was eating too much and refused to serve me—he even insulted me… It's unbelievable. And the owner reacted very harshly and said I simply couldn't come back.

The concept and experience are fantastic! We've been here three times already. Fresh and unusual seafood and other seafood products, pasta, mushrooms, etc., can be prepared at your leisure (I can't comment on the meat, as we didn't order any). Previously, there was an order card with a huge selection, and we were served by a robot. Now you can help yourself from the buffet, which is actually quite nice (the robot was the only downside). We had Pot & BBQ (cooking and grilling). A soup with Asian spices, Chinese noodles, and shrimp/seafood was absolutely delicious! The service was very friendly, the parking and price were okay, but given the overall experience, they weren't even worth deducting for.

The OG Hotpot in Munich is authentic, and you can season the broth yourself. The sauce station is also great for mixing your own. Our waiter, Xia, was very friendly and funny.

We were very disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. The hygiene standards seemed poor, the buffet was nearly empty throughout our visit. The few food options available were not very appealing and after seeing the overall state of the buffet, we've already lost our appetite. I also found a hair in my food, which made the experience even more unpleasant. The service was another low point. Our waitress was quite unfriendly and seemed very rushed, barely taking the time to serve us properly. Based on our visit, I cannot recommend this restaurant. I hope the management will address these issues for future guests.

Wonderful service and a fantastic experience! This was our first time at this restaurant, and we were looked after by Xia. He explained everything very clearly and understandably: how the concept works, how to order, and what to keep in mind. The service was truly first-class! The food was incredibly delicious, fresh, and very varied. Everything was top-notch, both in taste and presentation. We felt completely at ease and will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

This restaurant is a scam….. they will ask you for drink being said as it is all inclusive but will charge you at the end for drink and also they overcharged the total price and act as if they miscalculated. Moreover. They only charge you with cash to avoid transaction history.

Ate at this restaurant, the bill comes out more than it was stated. Please be careful that drinks are not included in the price. We asked if they are already included in the buffet price but they said yes but when the bill comes out, it was not included in the price. The service was also very terrible. We had to wait around 20 mins just for hotpot to come out.

Unfortunately, there's very little choice, and the meat is simply labeled with cheap, confusing paper notes. When paying, they asked for a tip several times, which was very annoying.

Since we were staying in a hotel near the restaurant, we were looking for a good place to eat. It turned out to be truly satisfying, with both the good service and the excellent seafood and various types of meat. It was a truly wonderful experience for us, and we highly recommend it.

5/5 – Highly recommended! I visited MuWu Grill House and it was truly a highlight! The combination of hot pot and BBQ at the table is really fun – perfect if you like to prepare your own food and want to try different things. The selection of meat, vegetables, and side dishes was extensive, and everything seemed fresh. The marinated beef and shrimp were particularly good. The sauce bar was also amazing – you can mix your own dips. The staff was friendly and explained everything well, especially if you've never had hot pot before. The atmosphere is modern and cozy, ideal for an evening with friends or as a date spot. The price-performance ratio is definitely good. I'll be back!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Muwu Grillhouse in Munich, and I have to say it was a true culinary revelation! From the moment we entered the restaurant, we felt like we were in a piece of China. The atmosphere was modern and inviting, the decor was stylish and Asian-inspired. The servers were friendly and attentive, and our orders were taken quickly and efficiently. The food was wonderful. We ordered various dishes, including hot pot with various ingredients. The hot pot was a highlight; we could enjoy various ingredients such as meat, seafood, and vegetables cooked in the delicious broth. The BBQ was perfectly prepared, the meat was tender and juicy, and the sauce was spicy and aromatic. What particularly struck us was the variety of dishes. From spicy to mild, from vegetarian to meaty, there was something for every taste. The portions were generous, and we even managed to take some leftovers home with us. The price was absolutely fair considering you can enjoy a high-quality meal in a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be back and highly recommend the Muwu Grillhouse. We're already looking forward to our next visit to the Muwu Grillhouse!
