Der anliegende Spielplatz ist für Kinder absolut gemeingefährlich! Sollte dringend renoviert werden!

Wir sind seit Jahren regelmäßig dort. Mal nur für einen Drink. Aber auch zum Gänsemenü letztes Jahr. Wir fühlen uns immer sehr wohl und kommen auch in Zukunft immer gerne wieder.

Mann kann auch schön draußen sitzen.

Ich habe sooo selten so ein perfektes Steak gegessen! Perfekt gegart, perfekt gewürzt und generell das ganze Essen sehr empfehlenswert! :)

Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt einen in der wohlfühlenden Atmosphäre der Haard auf wundersame Weise in den Tag starten.

Nette freundliche Bedienung. Das Essen schmeckt auch immer. Sehr schön in der Natur gelegen.

Ich hatte „Himmel in Ääd“ was mich sehr gewundert hat, das auf einer Karte im Ruhrpott zu finden. Und es war wirklich gut! Meine Freundin hatte weniger Glück: ihr Rind kam als dickes, nicht kaubares Stück. Alles wie Kaugummi, sie konnte nichts davon essen, alles, was sie abgeschnitten hat, landete in der Serviette. In der Küche hat man sich das Stück angesehen, es sei nicht auszusetzen daran, sie musste dann trotzdem die Hälfte zahlen. Na ja. Der Kuchen war gut, der junge Mann, der bei uns den Service gemacht hat, war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Ausblick in den Wald ist wirklich sehr schön! Gestört hat mich allerdings, dass man sehr eng zusammensitzt, ich konnte meinen Platz in einer Ecke kaum einnehmen. Und die Kanten der Tische bei uns waren extrem abgenutzt, siehe Foto. Man kann die Arme nicht gut auflegen und empfindliche Kleidung hat man besser auch nicht an. Diese Tische dürfte man gerne mal erneuern. Alles in allem war der Besuch schön, die Sache mit dem Rindfleisch hat allerdings die Stimmung getrübt.

Ich hatte die vegane Pasta Carbonara (Blumenkohl mit Kokossoße) leider war die Soße sehr geschmacklos und der Blumenkohl garnicht gewürzt sowie zu kurz angebraten also halb roh. Die Apfelschorle war ziemlich wässrig. Hingegen der Cambert und das Schweineschnitzel (Championrahmsoße) mit Pommes waren sehr lecker. Als wir unsere negativen Erfahrungen dem Kellner mitteilten, wurden diese nur belächelt. Schade eigentlich.

Wir waren schon öfter dort, mehrmals habe ich mit ca. 30 Leuten meinen Geburtstag dort mit einem Frühstücksbuffet gefeiert. Wir haben uns dort immer bestens aufgehoben gefühlt.

Wir waren mit Freunden hier essen. Nicht günstig für die Portionen die man bekommt. Ist ganz OK, aber wir würden hier jetzt nicht nochmal hingehen. Der Service war aber ganz nett.

Wir waren heute (22.02.26) mit einer Gruppe von 16 Personen, davon 2 Kinder, um 9.30 Uhr frühstücken. Buffettauswahl m.E. stark verbesserungsbedürftig für das stark besuchte Ausflugslokal. Es wurde kaum bzw. nur selten nachgefüllt. M.E. wurde der Fisch (Lachs, Forelle) nicht korrekt gekühlt angeboten. Hygiene der Buffetttische lies m.E. zu Wünschen übrig. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für das angebotene Frühstücksbuffett stimmte m.E. überhaupt nicht. Das Frühstücksbuffett ist, finde ich, nicht zu empfehlen.

Sehr nette Mitarbeiter, sehr gutes Essen! Wir waren sehr zufrieden und kommen wieder.

Tolle Atmosphäre , leckeres Essen. Nach einem schönen Spaziergang kehren wir jedes Mal hier ein. Essen schmeckt super und die Servicekräfte sind sehr freundlich. Auch für Kinder ist es hier fantastisch.

Tollle Karte und fantastischer Biergarten hier geht man im Sommer gerne hin um zu Verweilen.

Preise sind sehr hochgezogen ansonsten aber einen Besuch wert

Tolle Einrichtung, nette Mitarbeiter, gutes Essen (1 Pkt. Abzug weil die Currywurst eher gekocht, als gebraten war und demnach nicht ganz meinen Geschmack getroffen hat) - die Rinderfädlesuppe war super lecker und die Kräuterbutter ist auch sehr zu empfehlen! Ich komme aufjedenfall wieder

Eigentlich eher so eine 2,5. Wir waren dort schon mal essen damit waren wir sehr zufrieden. Es war sehr lecker, dennoch auch etwas treuer für das was man mitbekommen hat aber noch in Ordnung. Heute Morgen waren wir frühstücken das, was es gab, war sehr lecker aber die Auswahl könnte größer und besser sein. Zur Auswahl an Getränken gab es Kaffee, welche direkt auf dem Tisch stand und O-Saft zur Selbstbedienung. Zur Enttäuschung meiner Tochter gab es zum Rührei kein Bacon, aber dafür kleingeschnittene Würstchen. Meiner Meinung nach etwas unsinnig. Und zum Müsli gab es nicht mals laktosefreie Milch. Im Großen und Ganzen ein gelungenes leckeres Frühstück. Aber nachdem ich nach dem Preis geguckt hatte, war ich geschockt, wie teuer es gewesen war. Den Preis meiner Meinung nach nicht so wert! (Wir wurden eingeladen und habe deshalb noch mal nachgeschaut, wie teuer ist wirklich war)

Ich habe nach einer Wanderung eine Currywurst mit Pommes gegessen. Alles bis auf die Wurst war ganz gut. Die Wurst war nicht richtig gebraten und war vom Geschmack einfach ungenießbar.

Leider war die Currywurst nicht überzeugend. 2023 war diese wesentlich besser. Da ist noch Luft nach oben.

Nette Lokation am Rande der Haardt. Zuvorkommender, schneller Service. Preislich im Rahmen. Der Fitnesssalat ist, bei diesem Preis, definitiv zu klein, daher nur für Leute mit kleinem Hunger. Schade, weil er sehr lecker ist. Aber man(n) will ja auch satt werden. Ansonsten aber immer wieder gerne.

Wie immer sehr schön nette Bedienung und gutes Essen. Wir kommen wieder.

Meine Frau und ich waren am 21.02.26 zum Menuekarussel im Restaurant Mutter Wehner. Das 4 Gänge Menü war sehr kreativ und originell und außergewöhnlich vom Küchenchef zusammen gestellt. Das Essen war sehr hochwertig und auf dem Punkt zubereitet. Die Weinauswahl passte genau zur Menueabfolge. Individuelle Vorlieben wurden berücksichtigt. Der Abend wurde von Tim als Service begleitet. Er war mehr als aufmerksam, so dass man ihn und die Crew nur mit 5 Sternen auszeichnen kann. Insgesamt ein sehr gelungener Abend. Wir waren das 3. Mal zum Menuekarussel bei Mutter Wehner und es war immer hervorragend.

Hatten nach einem Spaziergang einen Glühwein getrunken. 👍

Schöne Location! Aber mal ehrlich: Grünkohl mit BISSFESTEN Kartoffeln?

Eine sehr schöne Location, mit 3 Sitzvarianten: Einen Innenbereich, Einen überdachten Terrassenbereich und für warme Tage einen Außenbereich. Die Servicekräfte waren sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir hatten zu dritt 3x Cappuccino,einen Tee,2x Saftschorle und 3x Waffeln (mit Eis, heiße Kirschen und sahne). Es war sehr lecker. Auch der Gesamtpreis von unter 50€ war angemessen. Kommen definitiv wieder.

Wir haben hier einen sehr schönen Abend verbracht. Das Essen war frisch, lecker und schön angerichtet. Der Service war aufmerksam und freundlich, und man fühlt sich als Gast wirklich willkommen.

Wir haben mit unserem Team von Home Instead unseren Neujahrsempfang im Rahmen eines Brunchs in diesem Restaurant verbracht. Für rund 30 Personen war alles sehr schön vorbereitet und liebevoll eingedeckt. Der Service war äußerst freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Buffet war ansprechend gestaltet und bot eine große Auswahl, sodass für jeden etwas Passendes dabei war. Ein sehr gelungener Vormittag in angenehmer Atmosphäre – absolut empfehlenswert! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Schneller Service, freundliche Bedienung und sehr leckeres Essen!

Wir sind spontan am Donnerstag zu Mutter Wehner gefahren um nett essen zu gehen. Das Restaurant ist schick und modern. Es gibt eine geschlossene Terasse wo man auch mit Hund sitzen kann. Auch dort ist es sehr gemütlich und angenehm zu sitzen. Das Restaurant war ziemlich leer, so das wir uns einen Tisch aussuchen konnten. Wir wurden innerhalb von paar Sekunden bedient und hatten ein echt leckeres Essen, gute Bedienung und nettes Ambiente. Es gibt regionale und saisonale Essenangebote. Ich fand es schade,dass so wenig los war da das Restaurant echt toll ist. Ich hoffe,dass wieder mehr Gäste Mutter Wehner besuchen damit nicht noch mehr gute Restaurants schließen müssen. Wir kommen aufjedenfall wieder!

We've been there several times now and it's always great! The service is friendly and attentive, the food is delicious, and they're dog-friendly too – they even have water for the furry friends!

After the hike we went to get some food. Allgäuer Käsespätzle is amazing it just melts in your mouth. It’s a must try here. The Landbier is also cool. Overall worth a visit if you are hiking in the nearby area.

Delicious food, great atmosphere and very friendly staff

Like it used to be – only better. Even as a child in the 70s, I occasionally came here with my parents. This traditional German restaurant has become a real insider tip – though not exactly a secret. There's something for everyone; dogs are welcome outside and on the covered terrace, or inside without them. The consistently cheerful staff and fair prices make it a pleasure to visit.

I had a delicious meal yesterday.

We had our civil wedding ceremony at Mutter Wehner's, followed by a small reception. Everything was more than perfect. The staff there are very friendly and were always present without being intrusive. We opted for the wedding buffet, and our guests, as well as ourselves, thoroughly enjoyed it. Everyone was very impressed. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire team again for making our day so wonderful. We wholeheartedly recommend Mutter Wehner. I stumbled across this restaurant on Google Maps and remembered it was one of my grandparents' favorite spots. I think I first came here in the 1950s. My grandfather, who was the fire chief at the Emscher Lippe coal mine, often came here with me and his fire engine. On the way to the fire lookout tower, he and his driver would take a break here. Things like that aren't possible anymore these days, which is a shame, but it's a nice memory. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll stop by after more than 60 years. I imagine the food is good...

Looks good on the outside, but it's a disaster on the inside. This was our second time there, to go pony riding with our children. Highly recommended; you can really relax in the woods. Afterwards, we got hungry and headed to the Mutter Wehner Restaurant. From the outside, it looks nice. Dogs are allowed on the outdoor terrace, which didn't bother us at all. The first waiter was quite friendly and took our order, but the next one brought it incorrectly. I have never eaten such bad burgers in my life. We ordered a burger without bacon, but it arrived with bacon. We ordered a burger with sweet potatoes, but it arrived with regular fries. The burger wasn't cooked through at all—an absolute catastrophe, completely oversalted, and the sweet potatoes weren't cooked either. For the children, there was a children's portion of schnitzel with fries, which was a complete joke for €10.90. The schnitzel was tiny and also undercooked. Serving something like that to children is an absolute outrage. The waiter didn't seem to care much when we asked if it was seriously supposed to cost €10.90?! Conclusion: Save your money and eat somewhere else. It's a shame I didn't take any photos; I would have liked to upload them here. I can't understand all the positive reviews.

As a wedding photographer, I always love coming here! Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, excellent food. Located amidst nature, the venue offers countless opportunities for romantic photoshoots. Highlight: Civil ceremonies can be held both indoors and outdoors, eliminating the hassle of driving on your wedding day. Verdict: Highly recommended! 👍

Yesterday was my first time at "Mother Wehner's"—but definitely not my last! 😎 It was a Polish-themed evening with exquisite Polish cuisine. The food was delicious and incredibly generous—I must have devoured six beef roulades 🤫😁 (and quite a bit more besides). The location is truly beautiful and nestled in nature. I barely had any cell phone reception, but they offer guest Wi-Fi, which was surprisingly fast. A live band played that evening, and it was simply fantastic—they were amazing! 🎉🥳 The service was top-notch: very friendly, attentive, and quick. A huge thank you to the entire staff! 🙏🏻 Parking is available right at the venue—just get out of the car, and you're inside in five steps! 😜 At the end of the day, the team made it a truly wonderful evening—so a big thank you and a huge compliment! 👏 Five stars aren't enough! We were invited to a birthday breakfast, and everything you could imagine for breakfast was there. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and juice at the buffet. Rolls of all kinds, bread, salmon, scrambled eggs, and small sausages, cheese and various cold cuts, sparkling wine—everything was delicious, and the service was very friendly. It was definitely good value for money.

A lovely spot for a day trip in the Haardt region. Plenty of seating inside and outside.

We ate there for the first time today. We found it while walking. We're in such a positive mood that we'll be going back soon. My father had steak. It was so delicious. I had pasta with chanterelle mushrooms, and my husband had cordon bleu. Everything was delicious. The food came quickly. The service was friendly! The prices aren't exactly cheap, but they're definitely worth it for the place!

Very nicely located, one could expect more from the beer garden. The beer benches need renovation.

We were there today with a group of about 25 cyclists. We had a reservation. Prompt service, top-notch service, and we were ALL able to eat within 30 minutes. And that was from the menu! The dishes were consistently fresh and all homemade. Even the fish fingers and cordon bleu were homemade, as were the herb butter and onion jam. We were absolutely thrilled. The food is very good; we were there with 26 people as a group, but the service was rather functional; our arrangements regarding arrival times were ignored; the restaurant is beautifully decorated for dining, but not recommended for a group.

We've been here several times and even celebrated our son's confirmation. We can say that the food was always excellent, and from memory, there's never been any cause for complaint. The service is exemplary, something you certainly don't find everywhere. Due to its location, Mutter Wehner is a great place to stop after a walk or, weather permitting, to visit the beer garden. The weekly menu offers a welcome change of pace. A definite recommendation.

Beautiful location, but unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is completely disproportionate. Grandma's roulade had little to do with it, tasted bland, and I wouldn't recommend it. The "chocolate cake" dessert, for €12.99, was significantly overpriced for the portion! Conclusion: Coffee is okay, but if you want decent food, go elsewhere!

A lovely place to relax and take a breather. Very attentive staff. The food was delicious. The drinks arrived quickly, and the food was served hot. The coffee afterward was also delicious, hot, and served quickly. All in all, it was a great stay.

For me, the restaurant more than deserves its full stars! We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the entire team. Even though we had made a reservation and only realized on arrival that the spot wasn't really suitable for us, they were very helpful and still found a solution for us! From our own experience, we can also highly recommend the restaurant to anyone who is wheelchair-bound!

My godchild celebrated his communion with Mother Wehner on May 10, 2025 and I was invited to eat and drink. Very nice, open, light-flooded guest rooms, very nice staff, delicious drinks and very tasty food in large portions. Thank you very much.☺️🤗

We had an event from work. Everything was extremely organized and the service was super friendly and accommodating. The food was very good. We'd love to come back!

The food always tastes very good, the price level is not in the lower range but okay. The furnishings are cozy but elegant. Unfortunately, the high ceiling makes it very noisy, so conversations can be a bit difficult when it's full. Still a very nice restaurant.

We stopped here for lunch as a hiking stop and were warmly greeted upon arrival. A table outside was immediately available. Unfortunately, the table and chairs were affected by the weather and were no longer in good condition. Therefore deducting a star, a tablecloth might help. ;-) The service was very friendly and the drinks and food came very quickly. The classic currywurst / fries and a baked potato with salad were ordered. Both were perfectly fine and very tasty. Price performance fits here!

You can sit outside well. You have to get your own drinks, you have to order food inside and get a pager. You will be notified when you can pick up your food.
