We celebrated my father's 70th birthday on October 25, 2025. It was a truly beautiful restaurant with its brick arches. It was very cozy, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. We each chose a three-course menu. Even my sister, who doesn't eat meat, found something to enjoy. It was truly delicious. The price/performance ratio for five people was absolutely reasonable. I can definitely recommend this restaurant. 👍👍👍😋😋😋

I ordered catering for my son's baptism. The service was simply fantastic, from ordering to delivery to picking up the dishes. But nothing compared to the taste and the way they manage to present the large selection on time. I would order from them again and again. Some of the guests will probably only order from them from now on. Since nothing was left to be desired, I need say nothing more. I highly recommend trying it for yourself.

We've been going here regularly (at least once a year) for 15 years, and we've always enjoyed the food. Now we won't be doing that anymore. The quality of the food has declined, the prices have risen dramatically, and the politeness is mediocre. If you like being insulted, please. For us, it's over. Never again.

A true paradise for everyone who has always wanted to know what service in hell feels like. Who needs friendly staff when you have a boss who could easily insult a concrete wall with her charm? As soon as you enter the restaurant you are greeted with an aura that is somewhere between “What do you want here?” and “You’d better turn around again.” Customer service is obviously not very important here. The boss – a real one-off – meets you with the kindness of a traffic police officer in the downpour. You immediately feel welcome – if you are a masochist. We ordered anyway, out of pure adventurous spirit. You only live once. And let's put it this way: the culinary experience was so spectacular that we decided we'd rather have a picnic on a park bench in the future. In terms of taste, it was somewhere between cardboard and disappointment – ​​but hey, maybe that was due to our lack of appreciation for “the fine art of museum killing”. The atmosphere is a dream - if you like sitting in a room where the mood gets a little frostier with every crackling look from the boss. So if you like freezing cold in summer, this is the right place for you. You can save on the air conditioning - the staff will take care of that. Conclusion: If you like to feel unwelcome, don't care about politeness and are prepared to get a good portion of arrogance for free in exchange for mediocre food - go to the museum killer! Simply perfect... we have been frequent guests in the Museumkeller for a long time. It's always an experience. The range of dishes changes depending on the season. Fresh ingredients, a special combination of flavors and a very appealing presentation of the dishes. The staff is very accommodating and extremely friendly. Very big recommendation.

Schönes Ambiente im Gewölbe, freundlicher Servie und - vor allem: sehr gutes Essen! Es gibt eine so interessante Auswahl an regional typischen Speisen, dass wir uns nur mit Mühe entscheiden konnten - ich würde auch sieben Tage am Stück etwas Leckeres finden. Dazu gutes Bier. Die Preise sind zudem wirklich anständig und angemessen.

The Museumkeller in Reichenbach impresses with a beautiful ambience, especially in summer when the beer garden is open. The service is very friendly and attentive, you immediately feel welcome. The food is down-to-earth and delicious - from classic sauerbraten to pasta dishes, there is something for everyone. A small drawback, however, is the block handling, which creates a certain amount of time pressure. This can spoil the enjoyment a bit if you wonder whether you still have time for dessert. Another small drawback is the parking situation in the city center - a free parking space is difficult to find. All in all, a recommendable restaurant with good cuisine and friendly service. Anyone who can handle the time pressure will have a great time here.

I'm thrilled. The museum cellar was very well attended and has a very good reputation, and rightly so! The food was delicious, the meat was tender like butter and we were offered extra sauce twice by the very attentive service. I love gravy, so this was a highlight for me. 😄🥰

We ordered lunch from the museum cellar on Boxing Day. The food was again very good, venison steak with pasta bags and rabbit fillet with pasta. The kitchen always offers a varied menu. The subsequent despresso - espresso with a small dessert - was also delicious.

Great address for fine bourgeois cuisine in Vogtland. Always a manageable, high-quality card. Everything on the plate strikes me as fresh, regional and homemade. The extremely courteous service completes the picture.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant. The food was okay and the atmosphere was quite pleasant, but the way the manager - apparently the main person on site - treated the guests was extremely disrespectful and disappointing. Even when greeting you, you didn't feel welcome, and polite questions were responded to in an irritable and condescending manner. It almost seemed like it was a burden to have to serve guests. Such behavior spoils the entire experience, no matter how good the food is. It's a shame, because with a friendlier attitude this restaurant could certainly achieve much more. Until then I won't go back.

Alle unsere Essen (Fisch sowie Sauerbraten) waren super. Die Speisen waren stilvoll aufbereitet und wirklich freundlich serviert. Nettes Team. Der frische Salat hat mich richtig überrascht. Toll! Einzig die Luft zur Mittagzeit etwas stickig. Aber bei der netten Atmosphäre ist das schnell vergessen.

Were on the way back from DD to KA and didn't want to eat on the highway. Google search made it possible for us to discover this little pearl in Reichenbach. Actually a closed company, but after consulting with the kitchen, no problem... Had a small mixed salad, very tasty, fresh and varied.. Then chicken with chanterelles and venison steak... Very rich, very juicy, great taste, exactly as desired... All in all, a great meal, apparently from a team that enjoys and enjoys working here. We'd be happy to come back if we head in that direction...

Going out to eat carefree again is a plus point. Here you will receive a very, very friendly welcome. We ordered different food and of course had to try each other. Conclusion: Every dish was excellent, only the chicken with noodle was a bit oversalted. I had zander, it couldn't be better. Then we had another bunny. After trying it, I was thrilled because I actually don't like it. Prices are on the upper level, but that's OK here because everything is freshly prepared. Will definitely come back. Went here again today for our wedding anniversary. It's hard to believe, but everything has gotten better. Totally accommodating. The food was a dream. We had lamb and salmon...what can I say, to the point. We're already looking forward to the next time

Das Ambiente ist sehr schön. Das Servicepersonal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam ohne dabei aufdringlich zu sein. Die Speisen sind keine 0815 Gastättenküche. Alles ist optisch sehr schön angerichtet und geschmacklich gut abgestimmt. Die Gerichte sind alle Ihren Preis wert. Hier kommt man gerne wieder.

Sehr schönes Restaurant, mit schöner Terrasse für draußen und gemütlichem Keller drinnen. Essen war sehr lecker und die Bedienung freundlich. Völlig unverständlich warum man nicht wenigstens ein vegetarisches oder veganes Gericht anbietet.

Vielen Dank für das Eingehen auf vegetarische Wünsche! Ich hatte schon zwei Mal so einen tollen bunten Teller und freue mich jedes Mal über die Möglichkeit auch abseits der Karte so gut versorgt zu sein :)

Aufgrund der vielen positiven Bewertungen waren wir in diesem Restaurant zum Essen und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die Bedienung war flott und super freundlich. Wir hatten die Roulade mit grünen Knödeln und die Nudeln mit Pesto und Garnelen - kurz zusammen gefasst: es war super super lecker! Wir hatten einen Hund dabei und aufgrund vorhergehender Bewertungen wussten wir bereits, dass dies u.U. Ein Problem ist. Aber wir hatten Glück und das Wetter spielte mit, so dass wir zusammen mit unserer Fellnase im Biergarten sitzen konnten.

Vorab, das Essen ist ausgezeichnet!! Wir hatten als Großfamilie einen Tisch für 8 Personen reserviert und mussten bei Eintreffen leider feststellen, dass Hunde in diesem Restaurant nicht erwünscht sind. Leider hatte man uns beim telefonischen Kontakt auf diese Situation nicht hingewiesen, es stimmt, auf der Homepage gibt es diesen Hinweis. Da wir Kinder dabei hatten, musste also einer mit dem Hund das Lokal wieder verlassen. Das trübt natürlich die Stimmung. Das dann bestellte Essen war sensationell gut. Selten so gute Kartoffelpuffer gegessen, hervorragend das Eingehen auf die Kindersonderwünsche, die ihr Essen auch als erste bekamen. Hier muss man vor allem die jüngere des Servicepersonals besonders loben, die ganz besonders reizend mit den Kindern umzugehen wusste. Etwas mürrisch die ältere der beiden, die mit unserer Ansicht nach mit Kommentaren wie "an einem Hund können wir nichts verdienen" völlig fehl am Platze waren. Insgesamt ein Ort, der kulinarisch immer einen Umweg wert ist, wobei im Umgang mit den Gästen sicher noch Steigerungspotential vorhanden ist.
