Takes too long despite fewer customers

Looks nice and tastes good, too. But there's garbage everywhere.

Probably one of the best tacos I've ever eaten. We had read a lot of negative reviews about this place, but after our visit, I can only give it a positive rating. We ordered a box with two cheeseburgers and fries, chicken pieces, and three birria tacos. I think it's cool that they have a self-service kiosk outside, even though the place isn't that big. The seating inside is manageable, and there were two standing places outside, but it's also more than pleasant to eat outside in this area. We waited about an average amount of time for our food, and the staff was friendly. As for the food: I think the tacos are really good. The meat was perfectly cooked, super tender, and easy to chew. The taco shells were slightly crunchy yet soft at the same time—just the perfect balance. If you want to top it all off, order the dipping broth. The burgers were also solid, and the sauces that came with them were also excellent. I thought the price was reasonable for everything. All in all, I recommend this place!

Quite a social media hype and therefore probably a bit expensive, but still great fast food. Compared to other places, awesome fast food variations and refinements.

Very sweet and extremely greasy. It all took some getting used to. Very expensive for a family, but for four of us, we didn't have any side dishes or drinks, but it still came to almost €50. I won't be going back.

The food is amazing, I loved it, but the prices are considered expensive. I mean, a meal for one person cost me 26 euros, which is expensive, but the food is clean and the meat is halal.

Very, very tasty, absolutely recommended! A bit pricey though, so I wouldn't eat here often. But the quality is amazing, at least when it comes to the meat products.

The staff is super friendly and the food was amazing. And it's halal too so that was great. The only problem was that there weren't many spots to sit, but it's an easy fix since there's a park that a 10 mins walk away.

So the hype is exaggerated: The food was okay - maybe I'll go back?! I don't know! I certainly won't be looking for that specifically. The tacos are good: crispy, juicy, and spicy all in one. The sauce goes well with them and is perfectly balanced. I find the price quite high: €10.50 for three tacos is quite high. But I also expect a special "kick," which I unfortunately didn't get. The rest of the menu is mid-standard - you shouldn't expect much. Considering it's a fast food chain, I think the prices are quite high. The ambiance and seating options have to be completely ignored - you don't deserve a star!

Didn't taste good and everything was very greasy and the fries were too salty

I didn't really like the food; it was greasy. Besides, they weren't particularly hygienic. It's not important that you have 10 people in the kitchen and no one cleans the tables. That's unacceptable; it's just unhygienic.

Ordered food via Uber, fries were cold, unseasoned, I paid extra for mayo which was left out, and the salsa was way too runny. Tacos were good.

The worst part is the garbage. But the food is so fatty that it gives you a stomach ache.

We didn't have to wait long for our food. Ordering was quick and easy at the vending machine in front of the store. Unfortunately, there aren't really any seats inside. The tacos were quite tasty, but the fries were very soggy and lacked any seasoning. Price-wise, it's quite expensive. Still, it's worth checking out :)

If you haven't been to Munchies at Alexanderplatz, you're missing out. The birria tacos were delicious with the consumé, as was the Nashville Hot, which I think could have used a bit more spice. The cheese sauce was also delicious, and the tots were crispy and salty. We'll be back.

We went there with two friends. I had the Nashville hot sando. It was the best thing that ever happened to me. I'll never forget that taste or that place. Thank you for that!

Everything was great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and very varied.

The food is very tasty, but also quite expensive. We were there at lunch and had to wait a good 20 minutes for our food. There are only a few tables inside the shop for eating in. We were lucky and snagged one.

Terribly awful. Absolutely doesn't deserve the hype. The sauces taste disgusting, and the chicken wings weren't crispy when they came out, and they didn't taste fresh. Plus, there's nowhere to sit; we ate on the stairs and among the mice!

We had a box with two cheeseburgers and fries. The burgers weren't that big, but they tasted good. The portion of fries was easily enough for two people, and they were pretty much the best fries we've ever eaten. So, the price is absolutely reasonable, especially compared to other burger joints these days. The employees are generally very friendly and cheerful, which creates a relaxed atmosphere in the shop.

The tacos are highly recommended, even if they're impossible to eat clean. The patty melt sandwich was tasty, but nothing special; I've had the same thing elsewhere. Luckily, we were there at 3:00 p.m., so there was no line. Unfortunately, there are very few tables, which makes eating difficult.

Tacos are pretty awesome. But I wouldn't wait in line for them. Nashville wings are pretty good too. But they're not particularly spicy, even if you order them super hot. I would definitely eat tacos again. They'll happily leave out the cilantro upon request :).

We'd been looking forward to it for a long time – delicious, but not quite what we'd hoped. My friends and I were totally hyped about the tacos at Munchies Berlin for months – and our expectations were accordingly high. We each got three tacos and have to say: They were definitely delicious! Solid in flavor, fresh, and well-seasoned. However, the extreme hype beforehand raised our expectations so high that we were a little disappointed – not because it was bad, but because we were simply too excited. Still: delicious! We also had a variety of sauces to try: – The ranch wasn't really my cup of tea. – The cheese sauce, on the other hand, was super delicious. – My girlfriend really liked the guacamole (unfortunately, I don't like any, so I can't rate it). – The birria sauce was okay – a matter of taste, I'd say. We also had two chicken pieces with French toast underneath (if I remember correctly). The chicken pieces were a bit dry in places, but overall the seasoning was delicious. The toast was a really exciting and tasty side dish. The shop itself is rather small and very cramped – you're sometimes standing quite close together. The new Munchies at Alexanderplatz (which is apparently much larger) is definitely a more comfortable place to sit. Contact with the employees was rather minimal, but it was okay. Overall, it was definitely worth a visit – even if I personally didn't experience a truly "wow" moment.

I wish you could get individual tacos, not everyone can manage three tacos and serving the onions as a side dish would be much better for people with onion allergies.

The place is completely overrated. The food doesn't taste good at all. It was way too expensive for what I ate. I would advise anyone not to eat there if they don't want to get diarrhea. The food is very greasy. Seating is a nightmare. Ordering was a real pain.

Since this shop opened, the entire area has been littered with garbage. The playground at Chamissoplatz now regularly looks like the pictures. It's unbelievable how one shop can make half a neighborhood dirty.

Unfortunately, I don't understand all the good reviews. My boyfriend and I drove here from Hamburg because we'd heard and seen a lot of positive things about this place, but unfortunately, it wasn't convincing. We ordered the birria tacos and the Nashville hot wings. First, the tacos: they were juicy, but unfortunately lacked any spicy flavor, making them very bland. We also ordered the broth (which I think cost €4), which was also just salty and nothing more. The Nashville hot wings were better, but unfortunately, they didn't have any spicy or flavorful flavor. All in all, it was very disappointing for us. The good thing, though, is the large selection of vegetarian dishes!

Very tasty! It's convenient that there's a vending machine outside where you can order contactless – quick and easy. Inside, there are two small seats by the windowsill where you can eat right away. For a fast-food restaurant, the food is really good and fairly priced. I liked the potato balls best – really delicious, I can highly recommend them. The cheese sauce, even though I'm a big cheese lover, wasn't quite what I expected, but overall it was still okay. When I opened the cheese sauce, it was warm, and the natural ingredients had formed a kind of skin on top – almost like a foam crust. You couldn't really dip anything in it, and stirring was also difficult because there was no spoon or stirrer included. I just stirred it with a potato ball. A bit inconvenient when eating in, but if you're ordering to go, that shouldn't be a problem. Overall, comparable to Burgermeister or Goldies – nothing particularly outstanding, but definitely worth a try for a quick visit

Munchies is the perfect spot when hunger strikes! Creative snacks, everything freshly made and absolutely delicious. The burgers and loaded fries are especially delicious. A chilled vibe, cool people, and fast service. If you're in Berlin, you should definitely check it out!

I've been there several times, and the food is delicious. I think the birria melt is by far the best, and the patty melt is also really tasty. Actually, the tacos didn't blow me away; something fresh would have gone well with them, and for the price, the birria melt is more filling, and in my opinion, it tastes better.

food honestly so freaking good had to come here and write down a review. the chicken was crispy but tender and super flavorful, the tacos were amazing and the sauce that came with them was also very good. honestly the only complaint is that theres no place to test and if you don't plan to eat it at home you're probablg have to find yourself a side walk to sit on hahah, but other than that, 10/10. might be once of the best food i tried in germany till now!!

Boycott this place! No space to sit and their trash keeps getting left over in and on the streets of the neighborhood!

The tacos are very dry. When we asked why they were so dry, we were told in a very disrespectful way that the recipe hadn't changed. When we said that we've been customers since the place opened and had never had them that dry, we were mocked even more. One of the employees, who had apparently been working there since day one, took our food and said he would make them a bit oilier/juicier. In the end, we got the same tacos back without anything being changed. A real shame, as it was one of my favorite food spots in Berlin. Definitely not worth a visit for now.

The tacos and burgers were great. The sauces were also a treat. The only things I have to complain about are the wait times and the atmosphere, but not because they were bad, but because of the size of the place compared to the number of customers. The staff was very nice.

Generally very tasty, but the tacos are unfortunately a bit too greasy, which caused me heartburn, stomach upset, and a slight feeling of unease. The burger was juicy and tasty, but I've tried better. Given your viral popularity, it might be worth considering a larger location. Four seats inside and two standing places outside are quite limited for demand.

I went to Munchies and tried the tacos – absolutely delicious! The meat was juicy, the seasoning was perfect, and the ingredients tasted fresh. You can tell they care about quality here. The rest of the food also looked great and was served quickly. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the service was friendly and attentive. Overall, a really good experience – I highly recommend Munchies and will definitely be back!

Tastes delicious but you have to wait a bit.

I honestly don’t understand how this place has a 4.4 rating 😂 The burger patty was completely flavorless, the sauce was way too sour, and somehow it’s more expensive than Burgermeister, I see zero reason to come here for a burger. The fried chicken was dry, and the chili powder tasted like MSG — honestly, even the crispy instant noodles from the Asian supermarket are better seasoned. On top of that, I had to wait 20 minutes at the door because of all the delivery orders. Not worth it at all.

Because of this attack on free speech, and to account for the likely removal of other imperfect reviews, I have reduced my original review from 3 stars to 1 star. Huge queues. Although they put a garbage can outside the restaurant, you see branded food wrappers all over the neighborhood. Relatively steep prices. The food is fine but you can do much better (eg piris in Neukölln)

The best birria tacos I’ve ever had hands DOWN. Service was fine,the only reason I took a star off is because there wasn’t much space to eat on site and out in front was a garbage overflowing with Munchies wrappers and boxes 😩

The atmosphere in Kreuzberg has become rather poor due to the huge amounts of unnecessary packaging dropped and thrown away by customers. Hopefully, things are better with the products... If you want to find out more, you can google "halal certification" and "protection"...

The food was lowkey hitting. Full of flavour. Very good meat. I only had one burger, but it took longer to prepare than expected. Intense eye contact from the staff.

This evening, at the corner of Schenkendorff and Bergmann, the trash can was full. The 50-meter walk back to the store's trash bin was too far. I complained to the store, and they promised to clean it up immediately. The store has no seating or restrooms; the fatty superfood can only be consumed on the street. Maximum use of packaging elements = tons of trash, with Munchies advertising on it, scattered throughout the neighborhood. The trash seems to be part of the concept :-(

So good! I love birria tacos and these did not disappoint. We also had the Nashville Sando (hot) if you like spicy food I would recommend going for the extra hot. A must visit if your in Berlin.

I enjoyed the overall atmosphere. The shop is quite small and doesn’t have a proper seating area, but I managed to get a seat since it wasn’t busy, which worked out well. The food definitely lived up to the hype, really tasty and satisfying. The small hash browns weren’t my favorite (and they gave me a lot of them), but overall, it was definitely worth a try. I’d come back for sure!

Stores like this simply shouldn't exist! Shame on yourselves for the garbage you produce and your customers who diligently spread it around the neighborhood!

Munchies is a very popular burger joint, as are Mexican tacos. Stopped by on a day when the line was manageable, but it can be long. My burger, OKC, was deliciously fatty and juicy. Lots of onions and cheese and meat that isn't pressed together too tightly. Leaves a slightly greasy taste on the palate, so buy some drinks to wash it down with. Different and a solid shot of cholesterol with an energy content that should be enough for a whole day of sightseeing in Berlin. Maybe the fat also protects a little against the alcohol absorption late in the evening. It's almost a hole-in-the-wall restaurant: No chairs and few standing places. So avoid eating here when it's raining or snowing. Would I eat there again? Sure - but there are many options in Bergmanstrasse. But Munch. And next time, when my body is back in balance, I'll try those tacos. There's also a vegan option - aber Warum? There are plenty of vegetable alternatives in Bermanstrasse. I give it three stars because it's worth a visit, but not a detour or a whole trip. "Munchies" can refer to several things, but in everyday speech it is often used to mean a strong urge to eat, especially when you're cranky or just want a snack. The service is like other burger restaurants, non-existent, and yet you are suggested to tip when you pay by card?

It's overrated! The food is delicious, but quite expensive, and not the best street food you'll find in Berlin. Still, it's definitely worth a visit.

The hype is kinda real. Everything we had was delicious. No wonder, since half the food is fat. But if you're up for it, it's a great place. The prices are quite high. I can recommend it. There's a vending machine there, so interaction with people is minimized. But I wouldn't eat there because there are hardly any seats. My recommendation is to take the food to the park next door and eat it there.

I've eaten at Munchies three times, simply for the stupid reason that there is no halal alternative in Berlin. The first time I ordered the tacos, which were okay - not outstandingly bad, but not good either. The second time I had tacos with chicken fillets. It was SO bad, I felt sick afterwards. The third time, when my girlfriend forced me to go, I had Nashville Hot Chicken, chicken fillets, and fries. The fries, as always, were very dry, unsalted, and not fresh. My chicken at Nashville Hot Chicken was simply BLACK! I couldn't eat chicken fillets after seeing that. Please, keep your hands off!

We ordered Bolt, the sauce had a fermented smell and sour taste similar to spoiled.

Very good fast food joint. Pulled pork sandwich, tacos, burgers and chicken fingers all cooked nicely. A bit of too much hype, but overall worth the visit. Must say they have their ordering system worked out pretty good. 👍

I don't understand why this is so hyped!?!

The food (burgers and fries) was delicious, using high-quality ingredients, but it tasted only marginally better than at large chains like McDonald's or 🍔 King. Very expensive for the taste. Of course, you're paying for the brand and the marketing.

For me, there's no better fried chicken in Berlin. And the beef burgers? They can easily compete with Goldy's—maybe even a bit better.

Unfortunately, our visit to Munchies was a real disappointment. We ordered the Nashville Chicken Hot, expecting a spicy and hot flavor experience. Instead, the dish wasn't even remotely spicy and, unfortunately, quite dry. What made the whole thing even more disappointing: Both takeaway packages were completely missing sauce – an absolute no-go for a place that relies heavily on flavor and sauces. The staff were friendly and polite, which we really appreciate – and that's exactly why they're giving it two stars. But: The competition in Berlin is tough, and in our opinion, Munchies unfortunately doesn't live up to the hype. We won't be back.

We literally saw a video of this and went from Munich to Berlin for it. One of the best tacos we ve ever ate. The sandwich was also one of the best. Really good

The tator tots were very greasy, and the whole portion was too much. It was very hot and crowded inside, with hardly any seating outside. A VERY LONG WAITING TIME for a simple order (20 minutes just for the potato pieces). The staff was nice, though.

Best chicken sandwich in Berlin! I went to Munchies in Berlin and I was absolutely thrilled! The chicken sandwich was simply incredible – super crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell the quality goes into making it. Oh yeah, and the Calsow salad inside was breathtaking. The shop itself is also really cool – stylish, clean, and the staff were super friendly and relaxed. For me, definitely one of the best spots in Berlin if you're craving really good street food. It'll definitely be back on my list – keep it up, Munchies!

I don't get the hype about Munchies. I was super curious because everyone raves about them. But for me, it was just okay. The food was okay, but I wouldn't go back. The only thing I really liked were the croquettes. The taco was disappointing: In some places, the meat was really hard and chewy, which was just completely unappealing. The broth that came with it tasted like nothing, completely unnecessary. Unfortunately, it's totally overrated for me. Once and never again.

Anyone who loves sloppy food and a genuine experience will love this place. Everything takes a little longer, like everywhere else where delicious food is served. I would go back anytime and can only heartily recommend everyone to try it out. It's truly worth it!

The place had been mentioned often during my trip to Berlin. Many of my colleagues said they'd heard good things about it, so we went there. To be honest, the food wasn't necessarily bad, but it wasn't particularly special either. A solid place with an American atmosphere. Interesting in any case, but nothing crazy in itself. My only complaint is that you can't choose which toppings to add to your burger at the self-service checkout in front of the place. You have to take what's on offer, which I personally didn't like. But otherwise, a good place. It's worth a visit, but it's not a must!

The front staff were listless and unfriendly. If you ask for a Coke, they just hand it to you without a "please" or anything else. The burger was okay, as were the fries. The other items like the fillet bites and the sauces just weren't my taste, but that's a matter of taste. You can definitely get more for your money elsewhere. I wouldn't come back.
