Munchies in Berlin

Very long wait times, and the staff weren't very enthusiastic. The food was OK; the tacos had way too much cheese, so you could barely taste the meat. The broth and guacamole were quite good, though. The wings (sorry, no picture) also tasted okay, but you feel disgusted while eating them, as your fingers and mouth area turn completely red (which is hard to get rid of).

These sandwich things are SO incredibly delicious.

It was kind of disappointing. A good friend brought me there, and it was mediocre. The fries were unseasoned (except for salt), the chicken was juicy, but the bread was meh. The price isn't justified :(

The patty melt was juicy and had a slight Big Mac flavor. 10/10 The chicken pieces were very juicy but a bit bland due to the lack of marinade. 8/10 I was hoping for more from the tacos. They were very cheese-heavy and, in my opinion, very dry. The broth didn't really help either. 6/10 All in all, solid. Worth trying once.

If you love fighting for a seat with complete strangers and breathing in the smell of hot frying oil, this is the place for you. The waiting time? Well, let's put it this way: I had enough time to rethink my life, learn a new language and come up with an alternative evening plan. When the food finally came, the birria tacos were acceptable. Not earth-shattering, but at least not the worst thing about the evening. The atmosphere? A mixture of confinement, chaos and a slight hint of danger. Perfect for adrenaline junkies who, in addition to greasy hands, want to take home an unforgettable experience. The fries on the other hand? A true masterpiece – if the goal was to recreate the taste of cardboard as authentically as possible. You could have just as easily nibbled on the packaging and the difference would have been minimal. overcrowded, overgreasy, overhyped.

Stomach pain and diarrhea afterwards... What a shame

This has less to do with authentic tacos. These are often very cheese-heavy dumplings - everything is more American style. But despite everything... for what it is, it is very tasty. The staff was always nice - the place is really more suitable for a quick bite on the hand or something to take away.

Munchies on Schenkendorfstrasse in Berlin-Kreuzberg offers an impressive culinary experience for lovers of creative fast food. Very good burger/sandwich, really good fries and heavenly delicious chicken tenders BUT the place is just too small and you have to wait too long for the food. Yesterday I wanted to eat there for the third time but it was so full that I turned back straight away, it's a shame about the gas but I don't wait 60 minutes for a burger, it's too much time for that.

We tested Munchies because it is currently so hyped on social media. Unfortunately it was a total failure. Food doesn't taste good and is too expensive in my opinion.

There are some really naughty treats here. We had the tacos, the burger, the melt and fries. The tacos with the broth were good, the melt was very good, the burger was as well and the fries were pretty average. If you're looking for really perverted fast food, you've come to the right place. It also takes some waiting, but it's worth it. None of this is healthy, but sometimes the soul needs some nourishment.

i was trying only tacos there, i was hoping for something amazing but it turned out to be really dissapointing. Taco was full of pork nothing besides this, extra dip was like soup, really basic taste not with it. The service was amazing i really loved that wre were there before closing and they still wanted to make it for us so that's why i give this place 3 stars

The bags pollute the entire area and the operators do nothing. At least put out trash cans and raise awareness among your customers, you are otherwise so active on social media. The waiting time is not proportional to the taste.

We tried the Tacos + Patty Melt Sandwich because we saw all the hype about it. The tacos were delicious, but it's hard to compare because we've never eaten tacos before. The sandwich was really incredibly good, I can only recommend it. You just have to be prepared for a very long wait and the fact that you won't be able to eat there.

The store has a lot of hype that I honestly can't understand yet. However, I had only tried the fried chicken at the tippy bar tables in front of the door with ranch sauce, which wasn't tangy enough for me (it was particularly lacking in acidity to counteract the fried chicken). The counter lady was super nice! However, it lacked the taste explosion that I know from the USA...

Unfortunately, they have dropped a lot when it comes to portion size and, above all, the quality of the food. I was there for the first time a few weeks after the opening and found it really tasty and only finished half of my melt. I ordered there earlier and I have to say that the Birria Melt doesn't look nearly as good as it did back then and doesn't feel like it has any of the fresh ingredients listed and the patty in the Beef Melt is an absolute joke. Looks like it's been thawed. Unfortunately I can't recommend it.

Expectations were clearly too high, the bun tasted like a Big Mac. Definitely not worth €7.50. In addition, there is a crowded restaurant with endless waiting times. If I could I would give it 2.5 stars. It will stay with the one test meal, no need to repeat. The tacos tasted quite musty, the guacamole was more like water and green food coloring.

I had the double melt patty and the OKC smash burger, there's hardly anything that could be improved in terms of taste, the things taste like they're supposed to taste. The employees were very friendly, the atmosphere is like a small to-go shop, even if there are a few places to sit. You should try it out.

Unfortunately it's not worth the Tiktok hype. Food is ok but only very small portions. It's also very tight in the store. You can do it, but you don't have to.

Munchies is not a bad fast food place but it is very overrated and a bit overpriced. I had the birria sandwich and the regular tacos. In my opinion, the pulled beef has no place in the sandwiches and tacos. The green salsa is also not recommended because it is very liquid and doesn't have much taste.

My experience with Munchies – first and probably last visit This was my first time visiting Munchies and unfortunately my experience was rather disappointing. • Fries: I ordered potatoes, but got regular fries instead - and they were cold. Unfortunately, this shows a lack of care when ordering. • Chicken nuggets: Unfortunately, the taste is completely disappointing. They were unseasoned and the consistency was tough and dense, rather than tender and juicy as you would expect. • Tacos: The taste was okay, but unfortunately the meat was tough and not tender - that significantly reduced the enjoyment. • Smash Burger: The burger itself was solid, but again the order wasn't executed correctly - the sauces were missing, which negatively affected the taste. Overall, my first visit was not convincing. Especially when you take a further journey, you at least expect a correct order and a certain quality. Unfortunately that wasn't the case, so I'll save myself the trip next time.

i only ordered from here, i didn't go in person. i ordered the patty melt + the birria tacos. the birria tacos were okay, they had a weird aftertaste but they were well made and the meat had a nice texture. the limes + the sauce were also okay. they were also a bit oily but that's expected. the patty melt was amazing, i honestly have never eaten a burger THAT soft. the buns were super soft, the meat too. this burger had the same odd aftertaste, im guessing its to do with the oil there? but it fit more with the burger so it honestly did not bother me at all. the burger itself was very good and i'd get it again.

Unfortunately, we have never eaten so badly and even threw away half of the food. Very greasy and artificial taste. Here it became clear to us again - including our daughter - that not all Tiktok hype is justified.

Positive: Very easy to order: There is a tablet outside where you can choose what you want. You will then receive a number and can pick up the food straight away. The tacos were a 10/10 in terms of taste and quality. However, I was even more excited about the melt sandwiches - absolutely fierce. The chicken tenders with ranch were also delicious. The price is completely okay: for everything you see in the pictures 28 euros. Negative: - Conclusion: Small but nice. Definitely a recommendation!

First of all, the food smells like feet. Anyone who sells Nashville-style chicken should first find out what that means. That had absolutely nothing to do with it. The burger was also a tragedy.

The whole neighborhood is littered with Munchies packaging. Neither the operator nor the customers of this store seem to have an ounce of decency.

Ordered twice with UBER Eats, the second time I even gave it priority due to the bad experience - basically the same applies to both orders: it took a very long time - and then it was cold, really cold - that's the end for fries and also bad for burgers. Too expensive for the food that they are offering (fast food). The best part is that they are asking for tips even if you are doing everything by yourself, even taking drinks from the fridge is done by you .. Edit: I need to update my review to at least 3 stars because I love their sandwiches

€20 for two cold burgers – completely overpriced! The wait was extremely long and when the food finally came we had to eat standing up. The burgers were cold and absolutely didn't live up to the hype. It's better to go to a real restaurant, sit down and enjoy your food - it's much more worth it!

After some media exposure, I had to test this store too. The food was delicious, something new. The patty melt is well made, the chicken is super juicy and tasty. The tater tots are awesome. The Nashville Chicken Sandwich was good, but a very saucey affair. The tacos were great, the pulled meat was nice and juicy and had a good texture. Unfortunately the store is significantly too small. You stand in a crowd and wait for your food. There are almost no opportunities to eat in the store. I would be happy if the store gets bigger, then the thing will really run its course. The Mexican touch is particularly missing in the German fast food world.

Never had tacos before, and this experience will never allow me to give tacos another chance. Store too small, everyone stands in the store, no chance of sitting. Waited 30 minutes for this... I learned hype shops tiktok youtube facebook or something else I don't think so.

This place removes all the bad reviews!!! Because they made BERGMANNKIEZ a trash! and poison people It was a 3 star review originally, before the owners started to report all reviews they don't like! Besides that it is a decent hungover food, the trash from it is all over the neighborhood and people are blocking pedestrian walk!

Birrias were very oily (greasier than they should be). Fat drips out all the time. A good filling. Chicken pieces were very tasty. Very long waiting time. A little bit overrated, but for once it was okay to try.

I ordered today at around 12:30. I order the Spicy Chicken Melt, and the 3 tacos. The chicken melt was cold, with coleslaw (I asked for without) and wasn’t spicy at all. It did taste alright but it wasn’t what I ordered. The Tacos where pretty good, the gravy that came with the tacos was also alright. Seating in the restaurant was kinda non-existent and the food is messy so not really something I’d suggest eating on the go. The shop from the outside looks cute, but honestly speaking the tables on the inside where shakey and already dirty although they where only open for like 30 minutes. The price is what you’d expect from a trend spot, it’s not good nor bad.

I often saw Munchis in food vlogs and really wanted to try the food. Since I didn't have time, I had the food delivered to the hotel and it still tasted delicious. Next time I'm in Berlin I'll eat there because the food always tastes better. I'll take the time next time.

I got food poisoning from the tacos

I would say only good things about the food here. The birria tacos were superb especially dipped in the dipping broth. I also had the OKC Smash, but it was decent compared to the tacos. The place was too small for dine in, as it was very crowded. The food and queuing took circa 25-35 minutes, but overall I would rate Munchies a solid 4. Would definitely come back!

Everything was great. The employee or the boss, I have no idea who it was, didn't even want to cut my burger 🍔.

After hearing so much positive feedback, I finally tried the store for myself. The tacos were okay, but definitely not worth lining up for. Taste OK, but nothing special. Price-performance is such a thing - three tacos are for the price, everyone has to decide for themselves. Especially if you want to share the food, four pieces would actually make more sense. The broth was okay, but you don't necessarily need that much of it for three tacos. It could have been included in the price instead of costing extra. My review is only for the tacos - if I try other dishes, there may be an update later.

The tacos are absolutely delicious and juicy! I tried the chicken there for the first time... It was really tender and tasty. The shop is quite small and unfortunately doesn't have any real comfortable seating. That's a bit of a shame. Nevertheless, it's a MUST every time I'm in the capital!

Munchies nice discovery!!! They only do takeaway service although they have some places to eat. Very difficult to sit because the place is very small and there is always a minimal queue. They have different offerings, from tacos to sandwiches and so on. Tasted their vegetarian tacos, very cheesy and juicy, although I didn't taste the mushrooms at all. The way they are presented is very nice and if you want you can add lime, onions or you can dip them in guacamole sauce. The guys are super nice and there's a nice festive atmosphere. For 3 tacos, €9, not bad for those who want to have a snack or a different but fun dinner!!!

We expected a great experience based on the reviews but it was just okay. We went on a random evening and it was full of people, we took take away because it was impossible to find a place so seat. We waited around 25 minutes just for a burger and tacos and the food was really mediocre. Wouldn´t go back.

The food in general isn't bad, but the tacos are a bit dry and, to be honest, the place doesn't come across as authentic, which just doesn't make the experience anything special. Apart from that, you finally have to wait a long time because there is always a long queue in front of the shop, but you can try it yourself. Some people don't like it.

Smashed burger was raw. How do you do that please? The chicken pieces smelled disgusting and were inedibly dry. The sauces were sour and tasted like they had been left open in the fridge and had taken on the smell/taste of other foods. Absolutely overrated. Ordering system completely chaotic and opaque. Once and never again.

Rarely have I seen a store that produces so much garbage. All trash cans in the nearby area are full of to-go trash. Really anti-social. Food is OK but super fatty and salty.
