Mr. Borella in Leipzig

Wir waren heute das erste mal dort sehr nettes Personal und das Konzept da hinter ist echt super,gerne wieder.

Es macht großen Spaß mit Kindern eigene Eisbecher zu kreieren.

Interessante Sachen. Eis kaufen, mit Selbstbedienung. Erdbeere schmeckte doch eher künstlich. Zutaten wie Obst u.a. waren nicht abgedeckt. Nervende Wespen sind leider nicht vermeidbar.

Das ist der heftigste Frozen-Yoghurt-Laden, den ich in Deutschland bisher erlebt habe. Man haut sich die Portionen selber voll einschließlich aller Eissorten und Toppings und zum Schluss wird allein nur die Bechergröße berechnet. Hier stimmt wirklich das üppige Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Der einzige Nachteil ist natürlich, dass man durch die Selbstbedienung viel kleckern kann und die Becher komplett überlaufen. Da muss man aufpassen, dass man sich nicht selbst mit Essen übergießt.

Ein wirklich cooles und frisches Konzept! Man stellt sich sein Softeis selbst zusammen und kann aus vielen verschiedenen Toppings wählen. Wir hatten Kakao- und Vanilleeis – beides hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Die Auswahl an Toppings ist riesig und alles wirkte frisch. Auch die Waffel war lecker. Besonders positiv war der freundliche Empfang. Die Mitarbeiterin hat uns das Konzept direkt erklärt. Die Preise sind mit 4,90 € (klein), 5,90 € (mittel) und 6,90 € (groß) absolut fair. Ein kleiner Hinweis: Beim Zapfen kommt manchmal etwas mehr Eis heraus als gedacht. Darauf wird man aber vorher hingewiesen, sodass das kein negativer Punkt ist. Insgesamt ein tolles Konzept, leckeres Eis, frische Zutaten und sehr freundlicher Service – klare 5 Sterne!

Ein super schöner Laden für Kinder und auch für Erwachsene gibt es reichlich Auswahl. Das Eis ist qualitativ sehr hochwertig und die Sorten sehr lecker und vielfältig. Die zahlreichen toppings passen alle ganz wunderbar dazu und schmecken super lecker! Klasse ist auch, dass reichlich frische Früchte da sind. Die Bedienung in dem Laden ist total nett und freundlich. Vor allem das Mädchen mit den roten Haare und dem Zopf und das andere mit den blonden Haaren und der silbernen Blumen Kette. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Eins meiner absoluten Lieblingslokale in Leipzig! Eine große Auswahl an Eis und Toppings (auch für Veganer), immer toller freundlicher Service, generell ein cooles Konzept! Bis ganz bald wieder!

Sorry, vermutlich bin ich nicht der richtige für dieses Geschäft. Ich finde das Eis ist überteuert. Es schmeckt je nach Sorte mal gut mal weniger intensiv nach dem was es schmecken sollte. Es herrscht schon ein wässrig zuckriger Geschmack vor. Das beste ist noch, wenn man 30 Minuten vor Ladenschluss darauf hingewiesen wird, dass man eigentlich schon geschlossen hat und 20 Minuten vor 20 Uhr war dann auch der Laden dicht. Kunden studierten ungläubig die Öffnungszeiten. Einmalige Erfahrung die ich nicht wiederholen muss. Mir liegt dann doch mehr am Eis und Geschmack als an den unzähligen Toppings aus der Tüte. Denn es gibt wenig frisches Obst. Es ist auch schwierig bei dem schnell smelzenden Eis und den engen Begebenheiten bei den Toppings sich schnell genug was drauf zu tun. Vermutlich gibt es auch keine vernünftige Kühlung im Geschäft, dass man beide Türen offenstehen lässt und bei der Hitze dann sämtliche Toppings aus Schokolade weich werden oder gleich flüssig.

Eis war gut, aber meine Hose ist jetzt voller Eis. Nicht weil ich nicht essen kann, sondern weil die Maschine jedes mal dermaßen spritzt, dass sowohl oben als auch unten überall Flecken auf meiner Hose sind. Die Toppings waren extrem hart, also auch schon etwas älter. Aber das Eis was lecker. Mitarbeiter auch ganz nett

Öffnungszeiten sind hier bestenfalls eine Willenserklärung. Wenn man mal Glück hat und geöffnet ist, ist es allerdings ganz lecker, wenns einem das viele Geld wert ist.

Heute waren wir mit Freunden in diesem Café. Das Angebot an Eis war gut und interessant. Leider hat sich die Mitarbeiterin an der Kasse sehr aggressiv verhalten. Sie hat uns völlig grundlos angeschrien. Dadurch blieb bei uns ein sehr unangenehmer Eindruck von diesem Lokal zurück.

Überragend leckeres Eis, super nettes Personal, was auch bei großem Ansturm den Überblick behält. Wir kommen gerne wieder...

Lecker und mega nette Bedienung

Günstig gelegen, sonntags geöffnet. Die Eisauswahl ist nicht riesig, aber die Preise sind angemessen. Keine Toiletten.

Einfache Selbstbedienung , die Angestellten sind was Sauberkeit angeht auch auf zack und das Eis ist gut , gern wieder 👌🏼

I visited Mr. Borella's on Augustusplatz in Leipzig for the first time and am absolutely thrilled with this unique ice cream experience! The ice cream parlor appears somewhat inconspicuous from the outside and is a bit hidden, but that's precisely what makes it so charming. Outside, there are lovely benches where you can relax and enjoy your ice cream – ideal for observing the hustle and bustle of Augustusplatz. The concept is ingenious: You pay a fixed base price per cup (there are three cup sizes starting at around four euros) and then you can help yourself to seven to ten different ice cream flavors. What's particularly cool is the huge selection of toppings – everything from fresh fruit, effervescent tablets, UFOs, Nutella to cookies, sauces, glitter, and even savory snacks like crisps or pretzels. The ice cream flavors are creative and range from classics like chocolate and vanilla to unusual varieties like popcorn, panna cotta, or the popular black coconut ice cream, which is even vegan and sugar-free. The staff is very friendly and greets each guest personally. Upon entering, they immediately ask if you're familiar with the concept, and everything is patiently explained – this creates a pleasant atmosphere and makes the visit easy, even for newcomers. The bonus card, which allows you to secure a little surprise after several visits, is also a nice idea. A quick note: Compared to traditional ice cream parlors, the ice cream here is a bit more expensive. However, you get the opportunity to customize your ice cream and choose as many toppings as you like. This makes the visit a special experience and justifies the price. In conclusion: Mr. Borella is a real highlight for all ice cream lovers who like to get creative. The wide selection, the innovative concept, and the friendly team make the visit something special. I'll definitely be back!

Exciting concept with soft ice cream, but not my thing.

Unfortunately, it's gone downhill. I used to love it. It's understandable that the prices have gone up for various reasons. But when, of only three ice cream flavors on offer, two don't work because they're empty?! The topping bowls aren't refilled, while three employees are there who'd rather chat with the employees from the shop next door, then I don't understand. It's a shame.

It's a very nice shop. The staff is young and friendly. The ice cream is very good quality, and there's a huge selection of toppings. The various cup sizes, from small (equivalent to 3 scoops) to medium (5 scoops) to large (7 scoops), are also great value for money.

The ice cream is always very good, and the selection of toppings is plentiful. However, I have to say that the fresh fruit is often either empty or already mushy in the containers. +1 for the value for money.

The ice age is open and so a visit again...it was like every time, nice service and the idea was just great. There are a lot of things left, right and on the floor at the self-service topping station, but that's more due to the customers. It is quickly refilled and helped.

Unfortunately the service is not good at all

I was there today for ice cream with my daughter. Unfortunately, half of the ice cream machines were out of order and the frozen yogurt machine didn't work either. Was then advised to please take a different variety without any attempt to find the cause. Ok, not really what I wanted, but oh well. The next surprise was at the toppings stand, no more fruit to choose from, all the buckets were empty. Only unsightly remains. Here, too, the staff was visibly overwhelmed to provide supplies, which had been announced and should be foreseeable. In the end you pay €7 for something you didn't want. It's a shame and it's the first and last visit for me.

We were curious after the good reviews and wanted to finally treat ourselves to this highlight. So we entered the store shortly before 11 a.m. (nothing going on) and immediately noticed several flies in the store. More fruit flies were seen on the strawberry and blueberry bowls. The remains of other toppings also stuck to the individual topping bowls. Some of the spoons were not clean. It wasn't hygienic at all. We left the store completely shocked and can't understand why they don't pay close attention to cleanliness. It's a shame - the concept sounded promising.

A nice employee explained to me exactly how to draw the ice cream. Then I voted and it basically exploded. Way too much ice cream but she didn't care. Who likes it?! The ice cream tasted artificial somehow.

I really wanted an ice cream, but it was late, so I went here, and it was awesome. You get a huge portion of ice cream, and you can add different tastes, and unlimited toppings. I took a huge one, for me and my dad, and it was crazy, and Costner only 7,9€ Absolutely recommend, the frozen yogurt was 🔥

Very cool principle that you only pay for the size of the cup and then you can put everything in it as you want. You can choose all the toppings yourself and add any quantity of them yourself at no extra charge. The price was also very good. You should take a look when you're on ice.

It was our first time in the ice cream shop. Not only is the idea great, we also had a super friendly ice cream seller (her name was Una, we specifically asked for her name 🤩). There are so many ice cream sellers who are super unfriendly and annoyed by children screaming etc. That wasn't the case here at all. 😍 We also got a bonus card because from now on it is our ice cream shop No. 1 in downtown Leipzig. Ich liebe und kenne diesen Laden seitdem er vor ein paar Jahren eröffnet hat. Es ist wirklich etwas ganz besonderes. War lange Jahre mein top Favorit. Allerdings muss ich einen Stern abziehen, da es drin manchmal aussieht wie als hätte eine Horde Kinder den Laden geplündert - was sie ja wahrscheinlich auch haben. Der Boden klebt, Eis schmiert überall rum und die toppings sind durcheinander und verstreut. Das ist das Risiko, wenn man Leute sich selbst bedienen lässt - sie hinterlassen es eben genau so. Und die Mitarbeitenden haben nicht genug Zeit um gleichzeitig zu verkaufen, zu erklären, Waffeln zu machen UND alles sauber zu halten. Ich liebe das Konzept von Mr. borella aber ich finde es drinnen auch ein bisschen eklig (zumindest bei meinem letzten Besuch)

In dieser Form noch nie gesehen: eine "Selbstbedienung-Eisdiele" in Leipzig mit leckeren ausgefallenen Softeissorten (z.B. schwarzes Kokoseis) und unzählig vielen verschiedenen originellen Toppings obenauf - soviel man möchte! Gezahlt wird nach Größe des Bechers, unabhängig vom Inhalt desselben. Das Zusammenstellen macht nicht nur Kindern einen riesen Spaß 🍧🧁🍨 Keine Sitzplätze innen, jedoch auf beiden Außenseiten der Eisdiele sehr schöne Sitzmöglichkeiten. Bei meinem nächsten Besuch in Leipzig ein absolutes Must-go, ich freu mich drauf 🍦

Cooles Lokal mit großer Eis- und Toppingauswahl. Man zahlt pauschal und kann die Becher vollmachen wie man möchte. Leider scheint es die Waffeln nicht mehr zu geben.

Hier gibts leckeres Eis. Prinzip: nehmt euch einen Becher (dieser kostet je nach Größe) und füllt alles was da ist rein soweit es passt (Eis, Süßigkeiten, Früchte, Gebäck…) Auch der Eiskaffee ist sehr zu empfehlen.
