Mövenpick Restaurant Kröpcke in Hannover

Price performance is totally exaggerated! For a rock-hard roll and a crossong, two small scoops of butter and an excessive amount of jam. So much money to pay. Was the first! And the last time.

I would like to say in advance that this is the bakery - self-service breakfast area, as the restaurant was unfortunately still closed. Unfortunately, such an experience begins as soon as you enter. After our "good morning" we were looked at like aliens, and after careful consideration the lady on the other side of the counter just returned the greeting. We didn't notice a good mood or a friendly demeanor either in the chefs who filled the buffet in the self-service baking area or in the older lady who appeared to be the head chef. We then ordered our various breakfasts, which looked quite accurate and were well stocked for the higher price segment. Unfortunately, the listlessness of the bar staff and the head chef (?) continued throughout the entire stay. When we were finished and about to leave, the greeting was only returned after we said a loud "goodbye" several times. Conclusion: Our mistake was that we wanted to stop at the Mövenpick Restaurant too early and ended up in the bakery next door. (Restaurant breakfast from 9:00 a.m.) For the price-performance ratio, I simply expect more friendliness from the employees. I myself have trained people in the catering industry, as a service provider I only need a few words: "Good day" " Please" " Thanks" " Goodbye" ....and a smile!! P.S.: This can also be trained I know times have changed a lot in the service sector, maybe I expected too much. René Ambrusch

There was once a time when the Mövenpick was a highlight in Hanover. The opposite has been the case for decades. Example from today: A cup of watery chocolate coffee (from the machine) for €7.70 tasted neither like coffee, cocoa nor milk. I found the service, price and product unreasonable.

Diverse selection of dishes at the breakfast buffet. Unfortunately the service was not what we were used to… We were never asked if we would like something else to drink and only when we asked were we given a milkshake, which is included in the price.

My colleagues and I really enjoyed it and I personally was very happy that brunch was reintroduced.

We went for breakfast; However, the breakfast option is not on the menu. It is good to go knowing this. But despite this, we were satisfied with what we said. The service is very fast. I can't help but say this.

What is good manners? Cafe Kröpcke gives the leftover baked goods to TooGoodToGo. A fantastic way to keep food out of the trash. Now I had ordered two of these surprise bags for today. If you want to save the world, then it has to be worth it. Because I'm driving into the city by car to get these surprise bags. The first time my already paid order didn't show up. I was deleted!!! It must be like that. I tried to reach someone by phone twice. In vain. Well, that's what I call nice and friendly. The customer is king. One wonders where is the king. Joke. If you look at the rating at TooGoodToGo, the top priority is: friendly employees. That should go without saying. Followed by; quick pickup. Features like: great price/performance ratio or delicious are what you're looking for. I think the 5.50 euros per surprise bag that I saved was money well spent with the bakers who are still traditional.

We are always very happy to be with you. Everyone is friendly, the food is great and it is nice and cozy at Mövenpick Hannover.

The Zurich Geschnetzelte has lost its taste due to the addition of starch. although the consistency has become firmer. This could also be achieved through reduction without sacrificing taste.

We received a very warm welcome and were repeatedly asked about our wishes throughout the entire stay. The service couldn't have been better. Thank you very much! The breakfast buffet offering was extensive and good. Just as you are used to from Mövenpick.

Wonderful as always, I come here with my family or girlfriend at every opportunity, as you are treated very like a family.

I go to the Mövenpick Restaurant regularly and am always very impressed by the variety of food, the location of the restaurant and the friendly service.

I think an ice cream parlor for €10.90 is a bit excessive. But it tasted good

The Coffee shop is near the train station, which could be said to be in the tourist zone. My German is less than basic so in general in different countries, English is the best solution. Well not in this coffee place. First, the old lady who attended us had a long face and once I tried to order a decaf coffee with milk her face was horrible, and pretty much upset with the order. Never asked if it was to take away, again trying to explain myself in a hard bad German that is to go, a phrase pretty much used in Germany. Rude service, high prices, and the worst experience. I will never go again. If just a simple coffee I have an awful time imagine for a lunch. Get a good coffee and everything else for a better price and service.

Nice breakfast buffet, unfortunately not enough jam (none at all) and preserves (only fruit spreads) for my taste...

Very friendly staff, super rich breakfast buffet, simply delicious.

There were four of us there on a sunny day and although it was busy outside, we were served nicely and very quickly inside. The ice cream sundaes are really expensive, but the scoops are larger than average. The white chocolate cheesecake was really tasty and nice and thick. The cherry crumble cake was also good.

We actually wanted to have a little something for lunch (since we only had an hour to get to our train connection) we were barely noticed by the service ladies. This also happened to other guests as we observed. Unfortunately, you were running out of time (approx. 20 minutes). Waiting time until a lady moved to ask us what we wanted. So we only decided on a drink and cake. Here too we had to wait about 10 minutes again until ours The order came and the cake counter was almost directly behind us. This is quicker in other restaurants. In general, the service staff at Mövenpick seem to be lazy. Here the attention is placed on the well-heeled wine-drinking clientele and is pandered to. It's a shame every guest has to be treated the same, regardless of whether it's coffee or wine. Cake was very tasty. (white chocolate cheesecake) and a nice selection of dishes that I would have liked to have used. Ambience chic and modern.

This evening at Mövenpick. For good reason, as we have often eaten well there and received very warm service. The food was good today too (apart from the fact that I ordered a game curry and got a normal currywurst, like at every chip shop), the service was a disaster. Tables not cleared, you had to wait forever until a free table was cleaned. The order was taken grumpily, used dishes (empty glasses, appetizer plates) were only partially cleared away, even after we asked for them. After the meal, people shouted across the restaurant asking whether it was tasty. After a slight complaint about the service, the waiter jovially patted me on the shoulder (!!) "but it was tasty". A no-go, I don't want to be touched by a waiter. Conclusion: we paid almost 100 euros and were served like in a train station restaurant. I have nothing against rustic bars and train station restaurants, but I don't pay 100 euros there either. In this way, Mövenpick is ruining its good reputation and we will certainly not return there.

Chic cafe and restaurant with good food and nice desserts. Not the cheapest option, but still worth a visit. I would highlight the after-work dinner from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday. At this time you get a starter, one of three main courses and either a Prosecco or a wine for €19.90. This is a very good offer for this cuisine and this ambience. It's also worth making a reservation. The table is then beautifully set with table linen.

For a whopping €2.90 per scoop of ice cream, you get a scoop of ice cream that is carelessly pressed into the waffle. For under €2 I can get a small, complete can of ice cream from the same manufacturer on offer at the supermarket. It's just ice and no gold. These prices are extortionate.

The breakfast had everything you need. There was everything from sweet to savory. Drinks were included and our waiter was a real sweetheart.

A soggy open sandwich trying to imitate a croque-monsieur; "Thai noodles" which were in fact penne pasta in an unappetising sauce with carrots and peas; tasteless homemade lemonade in a very small serving.

Incredibly unfriendly service for the prices I expect more professionalism.

Apparently you have to pay for the name here. A glass of bagged tea costs an impressive €4.30. For the course I expect loose tea in a café! The blueberry cake was below average for my taste. The berries tasted good, but the base was extremely dry and crumbly. Here too I expect much better quality for the price of €6.90 per piece! The waiter, on the other hand, was extremely friendly. That's why I give it a well-intentioned three stars.

If you want fresh, delicious food with friendly, attentive service... you'll get it here! I am more than satisfied and will go back again and again! Thanks to the great employees!!!

We were there in the restaurant and ordered ice cream and a beer. The ice cream came to our table completely melted as a soup, the beer was warm. We complained about this and the answer from the waiter was "I didn't do that and we don't have any specialist staff, I'm just a student." Well, I think that even without specialist training you can get a cold beer from a bottle into a glass, and frozen ice cream into an ice cream sundae and then bring it to the guest with frozen ice cream in it. And no, we won't be coming back.

Service and ambience top. I ate there or occasionally had a cappuccino. Was always very satisfied.

It's been over a month, but I'm now writing a report about my visit to the Mövenpick on the Kröpke in Hanover. I was at the Mövenpick for the rifle parade. It was raining heavily but I was extremely happy. Of course it was expensive, but I have to give huge praise. The cake and coffee were delicious. The entire staff works quickly and I am always happy to come there as a guest. Thank you for that !

By far the worst service I have seen and experienced in all of Germany. Very slow, you are not served and what you want doesn't come the way you want it. The waiters intentionally just keep walking when you call them. No further recommendation!

We always enjoy coming and enjoying the delicious food including the exceptionally good bread basket. As everywhere, the service depends on the warmth and commitment of the respective people.

When I was visiting Hanover, I "had" to go to Kröpke - and I wasn't disappointed. I enjoyed an excellent breakfast in a beautiful atmosphere. The employees are very polite, friendly and competent. Given what is on offer, the prices are reasonable. Conclusion: clear recommendation!

We have been guests at Mövenpick for many years. At the very beginning also in “Opus One”. Maintaining a restaurant business at a high level over a long period of time is quite remarkable. First-class service, imaginative international dishes of a special standard and a good selection of wines characterize the Mövenpick am Kröpcke. Based on a well-functioning team. The term fluctuation is written in very small letters here. But the quality is really great. Every guest inevitably notices this. We recently had another small family celebration where everything was just right. I rarely give 5 stars, but here they are deservedly appropriate. Many thanks to the entire Mövenpick team. Overall very good. When it comes to prices, you should know in advance that it is definitely more expensive here than other cafés/bakeries etc. The quality is right.

We were here for breakfast and sat outside. Ordered two latte macchiatos, a Viennese breakfast and a tartine - which is a thick slice of sourdough bread - with avocado cream and tomato pieces. Drinks and food came quickly. Friendly, competent service staff. Finally, we took a look at the various tartines on display: they all looked very, very delicious. A great discovery. Not exactly cheap.

As always, super delicious with great wines. Had the weekend menu, which was unbeatable value for money. Even though we looked at the currently valid menu on the Internet beforehand, we would have liked if the service had explained/mentioned the menu sequence again in advance and addressed any allergies (luckily we don't have any)...

First, you wait 30 minutes for the waiter to approach you. Then you wait at least another 50 minutes for the food to finally arrive. Rum steak a la Modena and schnitzel were quite ordinary (.The only plus is the location)

We were there for the Fête de la Musique. Very nice and friendly service ladies looked after us. The wine was great, a Sauvignon Blanc from the Palatinate, the food was beautifully presented and of high quality. Delicious too. It was a great evening. We felt very comfortable. And, yes, it came at a price, but you're being tricked by professionals here. You noticed that and that's nice. Thanks to the team!

...last week at Ollidey we were at Mövenpick am Kröpke. The food and service were awesome. Super familiar. You could immediately tell that the staff were real professionals. Exactly, very good hosts.

We had breakfast today, the offering was delicious and fresh. Unfortunately there is no filter coffee, but you can't have everything. Unfortunately, our waitresses Steffi and Daniela were not in the mood to serve guests. The dishes were piled up on the table, Daniela kept looking closely at them because we were sitting opposite the collection point. Even at our request, they weren't cleared away, so I put the dishes on the collection area myself. That wasn't right either, because the dishes were now being changed loudly. We had to wait a long time for our second coffee, which came to the table lukewarm. We didn't feel comfortable anymore and asked for the bill after less than 1.5 hours. This is not how I imagined redeeming my Mother's Day voucher.

Unfriendly staff, extremely high prices with ever smaller portions, no longer recommended. The location is of course really good but you also have to be willing to spend a lot of money for little food, we definitely weren't.

I often go there on my lunch break and usually order a cappuccino and a piece of cake, always very fresh and tasty, not too sweet. The service staff was very friendly.

Our family has been going to Mövenpick for years. The ambience, service and the quality of food and drinks are still very good. But if you look at the constant reduction in cake diameters recently and what kind of mini piece you end up with on your plate at a hefty price, that's not really ok anymore. A pity!

I usually get a take away breakfast of croissant, brownie and coffee and sometimes enjoy a pastry in the afternoon. I love it here!! They all just taste perfect!

If the weather is nice, enjoy a piece of cake and a cup of coffee. The service was very attentive and gave you honest and good advice on your choice of cake.

We can't say anything about the food because it never even happened. We wanted to have a quick coffee in the sun at 9am. Before we wanted to go to the toilet and wash our hands, one of the waiters treated us as if we were fibbing in order to go to the toilet. The shop had been open since 7 and all the tables and chairs outside were still locked. After we stood outside for a while, a waitress, who must have seen us, came out without a word to unlock the tables and chairs. No greeting, no offer of a seat, just ignored us. I then went up to her and asked if we could sit down yet. The only response was “You can see that I’m not finished unlocking it yet”. There were already around 8 tables and chairs unlocked, you just had to put up the stacked chairs (4 per table), which I offered to do myself, but she wanted to unlock all the others first (around 30 tables) instead A. put chairs at a table for us or B. just let us do it ourselves. Neither seemed to be an option for her, she was just annoyed and let us as guests feel that. Sorry, but it's not like we were pushing 2 hours before opening. It's summer and people want to sit outside.

Weather 18 degrees, 0906 o'clock and sunshine, expected temperature 25 degrees. The restaurant has been open since 7 a.m. Inside everything is free except for two or three seats, i.e. yawning empty for such a large restaurant. After a two-hour journey, my girlfriend and I had to go to the toilet first before we picked a place. An employee quickly came up to us and asked if he could help us. We said we had to go to the toilet first and then enjoy a coffee outside in the sun. The employee then reacted in a very "uninviting" way. We both noticed it and didn't want to worry about it any longer. When we wanted to take a seat outside, what felt like 50 tables were still locked, even though the umbrellas were open and everything was beautifully in the morning sun. We waited briefly and looked around to see if there was somewhere we could sit down. After about 2-3 minutes, a member of staff started to undo the chains around the chairs without saying a word and we asked the woman if we could sit there since we were there first 2-3 minutes of counterfeit money standing around it. The woman reacted quite irritably and told us to be patient until she had unlocked all the chairs (an estimated 20-30 were still ahead of her). We then told her that we simply align the chairs ourselves and that this would not be a problem for us, but she said no. Conclusion, the customer defense and guest defense did a great job here, they managed to make you feel uncomfortable as a guest within a very short time. In the end, we just wanted to each drink a coffee, water and orange juice to bridge the 30 minutes, but the two employees of the month didn't allow us to do that.

The breakfast buffet is always worth a visit to Mövenpick. In addition to the diverse selection of high-quality food, together with the drinks included, it has, in my opinion, a very good price-performance ratio. But big praise goes to the very friendly and customer-oriented employees. We'd love to come back. 😊

While we were waiting, we were able to observe several times how the “service boss” was extremely unfriendly and rude towards his young colleagues. When asked about this, he literally said “You have to kick them” and illustrated his opinion with an “air kick”. It's unbelievable that something like this is tolerated, because the management should be aware of such behavior.

I actually really like the Mövenpick Kröpcke for nostalgic reasons. The last stay was pretty mediocre: 1. The pricing. 3.70 EUR for a scoop of ice cream is disproportionately expensive. Proportionate refers to a comparison with the origin: In the Mövenpick in Zurich Stadelhofen, a ball costs 4.10 francs. This means that the Kröpcke Café can certainly be classified as “disproportionately expensive”, a piece of not particularly huge cake costs around 5 - 9 EUR. 2. The service is not overly attentive. If you order 2 scoops of ice cream for one person and a cappucino for the other, why can't you just deliver both at the same time? The ice cream took considerably longer. But the joke of visiting a café is that you enjoy it together, everything else is fast food. So I'm really only so enthusiastic, the charm from before is no longer there. A pity.

Update April 2024: Breakfast buffet is simply fantastic! Absolute recommendation. True here everything. Selection, food, taste, ... everything was great and the service was professional, friendly and courteous. Today we had another delicious breakfast at Mövenpick. Everything was just right again👍 The service was super friendly, attentive and accommodating and the breakfast was simply delicious and beautifully prepared. Highly Recommended!!

I know staff is short. But you should avoid staff smoking weed. The smell is unbearable.

We were there for a birthday breakfast. The table was very nicely set for us and the two birthday children received a little cake with a candle:=)) The service was very good, not overloading, but friendly and accommodating. We'd love to come back. IF

We ordered carrot and lime soup and fried redfish fillet with leeks and roasted potatoes from the Mittsgs lunch menu. The food tasted good but the portion was far too small. The small redfish fillet weighed perhaps 80 g, the mini roasted potatoes were placed in 4 halves around the leek vegetables. This portion For €16.90 per person it was therefore not justified for this price.

The service was very attentive, the food was delicious. We felt completely comfortable.

I actually always enjoy being with you, but I have to say that some of the ladies in service are so unfriendly that it's difficult not to ask straight away what kind of louse has gotten over their head... Rush and condescending, that is really ugly. Some others, on the other hand, are happy and committed. There was a strong draft in the corner of the window area. Otherwise everything is great so far!

Always the best quality and friendly service My recommendation is a cocoa with cream, accompanied by a tartine with fresh scrambled eggs and ham. I particularly like the regionality of the egg dishes from Oelkershof.

The breakfast is rich and good. Especially the freshly baked rolls. Other rolls, such as poppy seed and sesame rolls, were apparently bought and were old yesterday. This could already be felt when taking it out of the basket with the tongs. They were hard. So we advise against this. Otherwise everything was nice.

Unfortunately I have to reduce my five star rating from last year to three. I've been there a few times in the last few months and unfortunately I'm no longer impressed. The prices are high but unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not really right. What strikes me as very negative is the service and friendliness. Some employees are very friendly and accommodating, others are the complete opposite. You are ignored and treated snippily and there is little accommodation or advice. You get the feeling that if you don't fit into the desired visual image, then you won't be served adequately. Very unfortunate. Quality is usually good but no longer special, which doesn't justify the price. Overall, for me personally, I no longer recommend Hanover, but everyone has to decide for themselves.

A nice atmosphere to celebrate your own birthday with a friend, including a festively set table, a small serenade and a cake with a candle from the great service! Gladly again!

If you serve tomato mozzarella like that... then I don't know anymore 😅 The other salads didn't look very appetizing either. Hot dishes at the breakfast buffet were ok. Rolls and croissants not the freshest. Ambience great because of the location and view of the Kröpke clock.

My favorite restaurant in Hanover - I've been here many times without ever having a flop. Of course you can speak of a kind of system catering, other Mövenpick restaurants offer the majority of the dishes identically. And it's not cheap either, but you'll definitely get a fair amount of value for it. For example, with the extremely well-made potato rosti or beef tartare: it would be difficult to find better and obviously lovingly prepared quality served elsewhere. In addition, the staff is extremely friendly throughout and waiting times are absolutely reasonable, even when the restaurant is full (which is usually the case - I've gotten into the habit of generally making reservations in advance). I will gladly come again!!

There were three of us here - parents and child. There was something for everyone. The receptionist and our waitress were both incredibly friendly and quick in service, and I think the price for breakfast (drinks included) is fair. Gladly again!

Nice and friendly service. The main course was nothing special in terms of taste, the ice cream for dessert is unbeatable. The furniture is worn and the table decorations are spartan.

Visit on 3/16/24 Was here with my mom, sister and nephew as guests and sat outside. Unfortunately we had to wait about 10-15 minutes until we could place an order when we wanted to pay for the same game. My mom spoke to the waiter and he said he would be coming soon. He served all the other guests and made us wait, we had to speak to him again until we could pay. All other guests were German and we had an obvious migration background. I don't need to mention what an impression this left on us. For this reason there was no tip and we will not come back.

It was simply fantastic! The service staff were incredibly nice and attentive, and the quality and selection at the breakfast buffet was unbeatable. Every request was catered for, whether vegan or gluten-free. Thank you for a great start to my birthday!
