An oasis in the middle of the city, visited with nice friends and had an excellent meal.

Had a good breakfast twice. Nice service

Today I had breakfast at Mövenpick at Kröpcke. I chose the breakfast buffet. And no regrets. Everything your heart desires was there. And it tasted very good. However, I found the service to be very superficial. The lady in service did the bare minimum. Too bad!!! But I'll be back.

The waitress who served us was very attentive and friendly. And the buffet was great. We'd love to come back.

Terrible service. The waitress was quite unfriendly and hectic and made some inappropriate comments, for example pointing out that the ice cream scoops were large and that you should therefore reconsider the number of scoops you ordered. She also tried to explain that there are two apple pies and that you should therefore specify which one you want, even though the menu explicitly distinguishes between apple tart and apple pie. Furthermore, the coffee is inedible and the milk foam in the cappucino resembles dishwater foam. Nevertheless, it must be emphasized that the apple pie was good. Nevertheless, considering the overall circumstances, it is not enough for more than two stars.

Nice cafe with a great selection of cakes. Very well attended and really recommended. The food there also looked very good. My tartare was very good.

Great as always. Especially the gluten-free rolls, the best I've eaten so far. All hot drinks are included in the price, the service is great and so is the buffet.

We were greeted very friendly and given a seat by the window. The woman who served us was very nice and on the ball. I haven't been served so courteously in a long time, we felt very comfortable. Great place for breakfast. The location is perfect at the square. The service is friendly and efficient. The food was nice although on the small side -we did a la carte breakfast. The hot chocolate is outstanding!!

It's unbelievable how unfriendly the staff can be these days. I was the first customer and wanted to have breakfast. The completely listless lady behind the counter didn't even think about returning my friendly "good morning". She answered the question about the possibility of breakfast with a dismissive “cards are on the table”. Then she disappeared and wasn't seen again for 5 minutes. Only when I had had enough and left with a shake of my head did she come forward again. Given the prices, you can at least expect friendly staff.

Today we went to Kröpke for breakfast. And it was wonderful again. A large selection of sweet and savory items. Juices. Teas or other hot drinks. Everything looks so fresh and tastes delicious. The service was always there when something was needed and was very friendly.

Everything was fine. All the employees are super nice and friendly. Food tasty and plentiful. Would love to come back.

Nice relaxed atmosphere in the late afternoon hours

Four of us had dinner at the Mövenpick and have only positive things to say. Only a renovation of the restrooms would complete the overall ambiance's only missing star. Otherwise, the food was delicious and the service was very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommended!

I actually don't know how to write this... A piece of cheesecake is something nice when it's as creamy as in Café Kröpcke. ONLY: For 5.40 euros per micro piece you can speak of a very high price level. Two coffees, two pieces of cake for 22.80 euros is already at the very highest price level. For a similar "coffee and cake arrangement" I would have ended up in a nearby five-star hotel for around 16.60 euros, with a more appealing ambience and respectful service. It may be a sign of the times and becoming socially established, but "What can I get YOU? Do YOU ​​want to pay?" is, in my opinion, out of place. At least I only use first name terms from a familiar circle of friends and relatives. Containance is an ornament, but it's also possible without it :-) . That's not possible for a "respected house".

I'm making a special effort to write my first review because the coffee was so bad. I ordered a Latte Machiato there and my girlfriend a Mochachino and both only tasted like milk. Both were far too light in color and were inedible. To then ask for €8-10 each was an impudence.

Solid breakfast with small drawbacks I was here spontaneously for breakfast at 9 a.m. on a Thursday and was lucky enough to get a table even without a reservation. However, I would not recommend this as I know from previous experience that it is often difficult to get a place spontaneously. The “Kröpcke Breakfast” that I ordered was of very good quality and I really liked it. What I personally didn't like were the rolls - they were a bit too dry on the outside and tasted rather bland. There are certainly better alternatives here. The coffee wasn't quite to my taste either. It had little flavor and was a bit too bitter or slightly burnt. However, the staff was very friendly, and the beautiful view partially compensated for these small deficiencies. Conclusion: If you want a good breakfast, you should reserve well in advance and accept small compromises when it comes to coffee. The restaurant is still recommended, simply because of its central location and long tradition.

Very tasty cake, despite the high price. However, the older women behind the counter are not exactly friendly. A tiny little smile would be nice. As a customer you feel more like a burden. Otherwise you can sit well and enjoy the cake.

Mövenpick actually always offers good quality, but at fairly high prices.

Cakes/pastries, breads and world class dishes. Nice and cozy atmosphere. Service can be expanded. There are so many people here (you can just imagine the annual turnover) that unfortunately the quality of the service often seems to be neglected (I'm here 2-3 times a week).

Unfortunately the food wasn't good at all. The Zurich Geschnetzelte came to the table with very little meat in a sauce that wasn't creamy. The hash brown was burnt/charred on the bottom. The Viennese style schnitzel was dry. Given this price structure, both dishes were unacceptable. There was also a long waiting time. However, the service was excellent. Very friendly and hardworking.

Gambas was full, the food was good, we were advised by professionals about the wines and they were very good. The ambience in the store is great, in the middle of the city but you don't really feel it and if you feel like it you can watch the cityscape from the window. Really happy again!

All in all very good breakfast-price/performance ratio. Unfortunately there was no filter coffee available at the neighboring table loudly conducted business; Unlucky!

Unfortunately, both the café au lait and the latte macchiato, both of which were not cheap, were very watery. The latte macchiato was also just lukewarm. The freshly squeezed orange juice was also definitely diluted with too much water. The ambience only benefits from the large windows through which you can see the hustle and bustle of the city. The interior design doesn't suit my taste. In my opinion it is very simple and outdated. The service person was nice. In summary, you pay too high a price for the quality you get. We did a Sigjtseeingtozr in Hanover today and coffee and ice cream from Mövenpick were a must. Unfortunately, the two waitresses were a bit stressed but tried very hard. The Straccatella ice cream 🍨 was too bitter for us but the chocolate and vanilla were delicious as ever.

This evening we visited the restaurant and we were very disappointed. The chocolate cake was extremely dry and not fresh, although the price for it was quite high. When I shared this, I got a dry response, like the cake itself, "that's the recipe!, it's normal". The staff is super unfriendly and incompetent to talk to customers. Service is slow. Employees don't respond to hello and goodbye at all. Today was our last visit.

For me, the Mövenpick remains an institution on the Kröpcke in the heart of Hanover. I visit this restaurant regularly because there are no surprises waiting for me here, but rather high-quality food, a trained staff, a lot of attention to detail and the price-performance ratio is more than okay. Thank you for enriching Hannover, keep it up!!

Went there again to eat and this time tried the prawns at the suggestion of the staff. They were a dream, really dressed with lime and chili, totally delicious! As always, the service was great and friendly, all of our wishes were fulfilled! Gladly again

As always, we were very satisfied. The quality of the products is great. Everything delicious. Whatever is missing from the buffet is always added. Our service staff, Ms. Blume and Ms. Suchy (table service), please forgive me if I misspell their names... are simply great and very service-oriented. Some people can cut off one or more slices. The breakfast buffet was quite good, for €29.90 it was okay so far, although some work could be done on the presentation and labeling. What wasn't good is that desserts with alcohol were not excellent. E.g. a cake with a champagne core. This definitely needs to be improved. Some of the plates were pretty grubby, you really need to pay attention to that, it was unappetizing. The service was really good, polite and attentive. The toilets don't work at all, a bad acrid smell of urine like at the train station. The toilets were also pretty dingy and worn out. I expect something different from the prices quoted here. All in all, I unfortunately wouldn't visit the restaurant again.

Went there again yesterday... as always it was a really nice evening with very tasty food and super friendly and competent staff. Always happy. Next up we go to the Ollidey event again. I'm looking forward to it.

The price-performance ratio is absolutely disproportionate! The very young saleswoman at the bread roll counter acted impossible and continued her private conversation with her colleague loudly while we waited for her to finally pack the pastries. Bonged wrong, then she said "oh screw it"...we were stunned. Also about the enormous urine stone in the women's toilet! Train station toilets even smell better. What a shame!!

At €30 per person for the weekend breakfast buffet, you should best not eat for two days beforehand.😉 The food is of a high standard and they throw in lot's of filling delicious chocolate cakes to stop you eating too much food.

We were in the cafe. Functional and designed to maximize profits. Tables are so close together that you have to squeeze past those standing at the counter. The prices are right on the border of “too expensive” according to Mövenpick standards. Toilets quite cramped. Very overweight people, wheelchair users and even larger strollers are in the wrong place here.

Reservation very well organized and worked out. All 8 people enjoyed the food. The service (order taking, delivery and clearing and overall friendliness, especially when billing separately) was great! We'll be back!!

We were there for breakfast and the portions were inhumanely small compared to the rolls or bread. Sometimes we also had eggshells in our scrambled eggs. Since the nice lady at the counter gave us cake as "compensation", the service also gets 5*.

The service team is great, very quick on the move and always friendly and accommodating. The buffet and selection is very extensive. On our last visit we were there right after it opened at 9:00 a.m. and unfortunately some of the food here was a little dried out on the edges. This can happen if the food is left out for a while - but if that's right at the beginning, I don't think it's that nice given the price.

We reserved a table for six people, first impression a bit old school. Unfortunately, the noise level is also quite high, so the ambience here can be rated with one star. Food really good, food still tastes the way it should 😊. The service was also very friendly and attentive, although the waiting time was quite long. Conclusion overall Expectations are high Final result not quite right.

Mövenpick, the name today stands for little for a lot. In plain language, this means that there is little on your plate, but a lot of money is gone from your wallet. Yes, you have to keep the employees and the raw material prices have risen, but... I actually eat vegan, but since the restaurants in the state capital (!) of Lower Saxony haven't yet noticed that vegan is absolutely in, I'm When I go out to eat, I go vegetarian again. I rarely go to Mövenpick anymore because it's just too expensive for me. Whenever I eat there, I order the Rösti with market vegetables, without a dip, but with a fried egg. Most of the time the rösti wasn't in the pan long enough and only got very, very little salt. The vegetables are dripping with fat/butter, sometimes very firm to the bite, sometimes too soft. And the fried egg comes in mini format. I've already mentioned this too. There are now also batches for the catering industry from well-known manufacturers of vegan substitute products. I cook vegan at home and love Hawaiian schnitzel, with the obligatory slice of pineapple and a slice of processed cheese, plus curry rice. Or vegan currywurst with wedges. But I also love a vegan Schupfnudel pan with vegan diced ham and sauerkraut, as well as a vegan goulash with fresh peppers, fresh mushrooms and vegan spaetzle. THE SERVICE FORCES at Mövenpick are UNIQUE.

I was there early in the evening and chose a small Asian soup, but for me it was generous and tasty. The ambience is not quite my taste, but the service was so incredibly friendly. A young gentleman whose name I unfortunately don't know served us. very attentive, not intrusive and simply friendly - nice in a good sense. That makes the stay nice. It wasn't very crowded at first - so you could have a good conversation at a normal volume. I could imagine that the noise level can be very high when it is in full operation.

Always like a vacation! Loving service, great breakfast!

I've been to Mövenpick Hannover several times (for years) and now it was the last time. Because of celiac disease, I have to eat a gluten-free diet. Since the ingredients of dishes can always change, I always have to ask on site whether this or that is gluten-free. I usually always eat ice cream with almond crackers (this is recommended) and coffee/cappuccino. On my last two visits I was looked at askance when I asked, "Why would there be wheat in the ice cream?" I don't know, tell me? This is actually not uncommon and my companion and I viewed it as unprofessional that the question was not simply passed on to the kitchen (in the case of obvious ignorance). After successful clarification, I was served my coffee with a biscuit. I asked if this was gluten free. "Of course not." I replied: "That's a shame, because now the spoon and the napkin are contaminated," I said (celiac disease is an autoimmune disease and not gluten intolerance). The waitress then simply walked away instead of bringing me a new napkin and spoon. My companion and I were shocked. Later we ordered another coffee and exactly the same "drama". We encountered a lack of understanding from the staff. If the coffee/cappuccino only cost €2-3, I might put up with it. But not for €7-8. When I order gluten-free food in other restaurants, they also make sure that my ice cream is served without a gluten-containing waffle and my coffee is served without a gluten-containing cookie. Therefore this was my last visit to this Mövenpick. Btw I waited "forever" for the bill on each of my visits.

I got treated very unprofessional from a woman who works here for 30 years. She did not serve me food. I did call the manager and she turned . The manager was nice . The woman treated me me very bad and what she said hurts my feelings

I met my brother on a Sunday afternoon - it was very crowded between the tables. I chose cake from the buffet. It took quite a long time until the drinks were served. The cashing in was all the quicker. High noise levels and relaxed conversations were not possible due to the proximity to the neighboring table.

Mussels eat enough. . . not in Mövenpick am Kröpcke! Despite ordering two weeks in advance for three people, we were told after the second plate, which didn't really contain many mussels, that the mussels were out. This was not at 11:00 p.m. but at 6:30 p.m. An alternative was offered, but we had come to eat mussels, which we do once a year, and were therefore looking forward to it. The crowning glory came with the bill, the entire amount of €28.00 per person was collected, Incredible!!!

Extremely unfriendly waitress. Changed a reservation on the table and asked us to leave. We already waited 15 minutes to order. The waiter had told us that the table would not be reserved for 2.5 hours (as it said on the reservation) and wanted to take our order straight away. As he left, he was very surprised at this new reservation change and how the waitress was scaring away his customers. The management is probably wrong!

I expected more from the Zurich Geschnetzeltes. The meat was the opposite of tender. The Rösti was excellent. Correct consistency and correct browning. Attention and friendliness was beyond expectations for a system restaurant. The furnishings are high quality, although the seating is a little cramped. You can feel comfortable there.

Almost a legend; the Mövenpick at Kröpcke in Hanover. Well filled at lunchtime, but we were able to get a seat at the window quite quickly. I haven't been here for what feels like forever. Unfortunately the furnishings haven't changed either. This is the look of the late 80s and something could, no, urgently needs to be changed, i.e. modernized. The food was very good. We had beef tartare and veal liver as a main course and it was really tasty and a large portion. The food here is still very good and we can recommend it. The price is ok, not cheap, but not overpriced either. The service was attentive, but occasionally slightly overwhelmed, which was due to the number of tables. Overall good, except for the furnishings. But the food made up for it.

I would like to say in advance that this is the bakery - self-service breakfast area, as the restaurant was unfortunately still closed. Unfortunately, such an experience begins as soon as you enter. After our "good morning" we were looked at like aliens, and after careful consideration the lady on the other side of the counter just returned the greeting. We didn't notice a good mood or a friendly demeanor either in the chefs who filled the buffet in the self-service baking area or in the older lady who appeared to be the head chef. We then ordered our various breakfasts, which looked quite accurate and were well stocked for the higher price segment. Unfortunately, the listlessness of the bar staff and the head chef (?) continued throughout the entire stay. When we were finished and about to leave, the greeting was only returned after we said a loud "goodbye" several times. Conclusion: Our mistake was that we wanted to stop at the Mövenpick Restaurant too early and ended up in the bakery next door. (Restaurant breakfast from 9:00 a.m.) For the price-performance ratio, I simply expect more friendliness from the employees. I myself have trained people in the catering industry, as a service provider I only need a few words: "Good day" " Please" " Thanks" " Goodbye" ....and a smile!! There was once a time when the Mövenpick was a highlight in Hanover. The opposite has been the case for decades. Example from today: A cup of watery chocolate coffee (from the machine) for €7.70 tasted neither like coffee, cocoa nor milk. I found the service, price and product unreasonable.

Diverse selection of dishes at the breakfast buffet. Unfortunately the service was not what we were used to… We were never asked if we would like something else to drink and only when we asked were we given a milkshake, which is included in the price.

My colleagues and I really enjoyed it and I personally was very happy that brunch was reintroduced.

I think an ice cream parlor for €10.90 is a bit excessive. But it tasted good

The Coffee shop is near the train station, which could be said to be in the tourist zone. My German is less than basic so in general in different countries, English is the best solution. Well not in this coffee place. First, the old lady who attended us had a long face and once I tried to order a decaf coffee with milk her face was horrible, and pretty much upset with the order. Never asked if it was to take away, again trying to explain myself in a hard bad German that is to go, a phrase pretty much used in Germany. Rude service, high prices, and the worst experience. I will never go again. If just a simple coffee I have an awful time imagine for a lunch. Get a good coffee and everything else for a better price and service.
