We had booked for 12 people, but arrived with 14, so we expanded a bit. The drinks were served promptly, and the food arrived within a reasonable time. The selection was very extensive, and it tasted very good. Of course, with that number of people, you can't talk across the table, so it was a bit loud. It certainly won't be our last visit there.

The food is plentiful and good. The prices are comparatively low. Service was friendly and quick. If you're not expecting Michelin-starred cuisine, this is the place for you!

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Montenegro in Salzgitter is a bit like a family evening – you never know if it's going to be harmonious, chaotic, or both. The food? Truly fantastic! From Balkan dishes to Puszta dishes, there's a good selection here. The portion sizes are just right, the seasoning is just right – and you'll definitely be full. Even vegetarians aren't left out (at least with a casserole). Thumbs up for that. The service, on the other hand, is like a mixed bag: sometimes warm, sometimes reserved, sometimes a bit overwhelmed. Sometimes you're asked for your drink before you're even seated, sometimes you wish someone would refill it. But hey – it certainly doesn't get boring. The ambiance is cozy, but sometimes quite lively. So if you're planning a romantic whispered meeting, you should book a table further away from the "service-communication corner" to be on the safe side. All in all: the food gets full marks, the service fluctuates, and the atmosphere depends on the evening. In the end, it earns a solid 3 stars – and leaves you with the feeling that, despite minor hiccups, you'll be happy to return.

The shop was recommended to us several times by relatives who live there themselves, but I have to say that I was really disappointed. I don't know if I simply ordered the wrong thing or if the shop was way overrated. My family didn't particularly like the food either. I had a Suxhuk from Kosovo which wasn't good at all. I felt like I was biting into coal with oil. It was way too fried and partly burnt. Far too much oil. Yes, it's a shame, of course, but the prices, the service, the staff and the atmosphere. It was child-friendly. So maybe I wouldn't go again, but for the price it was fine. Not for us, maybe, but for one or two people.

Great food selection. A varied menu. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We'll be back again and again.

As always, delicious food! A bit loud. But it was very crowded. If the very nice waitresses weren't running from one corner to the other in the restaurant, it would be even nicer 😉 And more than one vegetarian dish would be nice too (not for me, I like meat).

The food was great, but unfortunately, there was a very long wait to order drinks, and then another wait to order food. We arrived at 6:20 p.m., and the food arrived at 8 p.m.!

The food was delicious and of excellent quality, and the price was also completely reasonable. What put us off a bit, however, was the service. We hadn't even sat down before we were pressured to order drinks without even being able to look at the menu. The same thing happened when ordering our food. We also had to wait almost 45 minutes for our food (luckily, they had the salad). One guest was missing an appetizer, which didn't arrive even after asking for it. We were there on a Friday evening with seven people, and the restaurant wasn't overly busy. The drinks we ordered were no different from regular and non-alcoholic wheat beer; even the waitress couldn't tell which was which—a complete no-go. All in all, the food was great, but the rest, unfortunately, wasn't.

A really great restaurant. The food is sufficient in quantity and seasoned just right. The waitress could have come back every now and then and asked for something to drink.

Cozy atmosphere but that's it. At first we didn't get a menu, so we got ourselves some Zurich Geschnetzeltes, a little Geschnetzeltes, a lot of cauliflower and carrots, slices in the Geschnetzeltes Gyros, it was ok, the steak was difficult, it was medium as ordered but quite dry I've eaten pork loins many times but they were very tough and dry Fried potatoes were delicious I know where people work mistakes happen and it was pretty crowded but when so many negative points happen and only the ambience is nice then that's not enough for me because I actually wanted to have a nice meal with the family But it's no longer a shame for us as guests there

We were there yesterday with 30 people and I really have to say that the food tasted perfect! We had already given our order beforehand and the respective dishes were served almost at the same time. The staff is very attentive and very friendly. That made last night perfect. Thank you ❤️

Been here several times and wasn't disappointed. The atmosphere is rustic, which reflects my impression of hearty food. Service is extremely nice and accommodating. Particularly child-friendly. The portions are large and very tasty. And at incredibly low prices.

We enjoyed eating well here with Renate and Bogdan over 30 years ago, and nothing has changed under the changed management - just like the furnishings, but that's completely okay, you just feel comfortable and welcome ;o) .If we are in SZ, a visit is a must, the prices are more than reasonable, the portions are plentiful and delicious.

We ate there as a group and had pre-ordered (starter/main course). We were told in advance that we had to order in advance for this number of people, and that was done. The company next to us was able to order on the spot and received any starter/main course before us. We were there with 3 children, 2 of whom needed a seat and 1 child got a chair. Everything was clarified in advance, some of the waitresses didn't understand and were extremely overwhelmed, and unfortunately the food was more than greasy. Unfortunately it wasn't worth a second visit for us.

Despite pre-ordering the food, I waited 2 hours for the food, the reason was that they had starters, I couldn't understand it, I asked several times about smaller things, yes we'll bring them and then nothing came

I was eating there with my company on Friday at a Christmas party, the next day literally the whole ward had gastrointestinal diarrhea, vomiting, etc. They all called in sick and now someone is supposed to tell me that it has nothing to do with the food, that's not possible !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The food was very bad, I was very disappointed because I thought that since the owner is from Montenegro the food would be good. The cutlets were very hard and made of rubber, so they all went to the garbage, never again. I haven't found good food in Salzgitter yet

This restaurant is just amazing! We have now eaten here several times, each time with 10 to 15 people, and each time it has been excellent. From the reservation to the welcome to the service and of course last but not least the food is always excellent. We all got our food at the same time EVEN THOUGH we ordered a'la carte. We will definitely dine there again and can recommend the restaurant without reservation. Thank you Mirjana for another wonderful evening.

Delicious Croatian food and friendly service at very moderate prices.

We spontaneously went to the Montenegro restaurant yesterday at 5:45 p.m. The food was good, but it would have been much more comfortable if there hadn't been such loud, rude guests in the small front room. The tables were reserved for 14 people. The first person to come to the table was a mother with her 4-year-old daughter. The child immediately rearranged all the napkins and placed the cutlery differently. The mother didn't care about anything. When the other people came into this small room, it became so loud that we considered leaving the Montenegro restaurant. When we asked to be a little quieter, we received hostile looks. After a short pause, three men in particular became even louder than before. Really provocative. We are not hostile to foreigners, but in a restaurant we want to enjoy the meal in peace and end the day. We communicated our anger to the boss and the waitress. But it wasn't addressed there either. We've often had celebrations there in the small room, but we didn't get that loud. No additional guests were added because the room was too small overall. In addition, the glass elements do not allow fresh air into the small room. We don't give any points for Sunday August 18th, 2024, even though the food was good. It's a shame that there aren't enough good restaurants in Lebenstedt.

Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed. We had a hair in our food and dry toast for the tzatziki. The ambience is fine, the rest is at most sufficient.

It's simply the tastiest food from the Balkans. We've eaten quite a few things from the menu and have been thrilled every time. The service and staff are simply amazing. Always a smile no matter how busy it is. And that's mostly it. What a good restaurant it is. We will definitely go there again and again if we want to eat a good gyro or something similar.

As always, every seat is taken this evening. This speaks for the quality, freshness, taste and the great service. 👍

To date I have given a relatively neutral rating because I was extremely disappointed a while ago! What happened during that time? Did you have an unexpected visit from Frank Rosin or something else? We “unfortunately” had to pick up the food because the shop was packed with so many happy guests! The food itself was awesome. During Renate and Bogdan's time, I always ate a Piroschkateller and what can I say, it was perfect. Big compliments to the chef, I have to say that honestly. Despite the stressful process, the waitresses were all on their toes, the ambience can be criticized because it looks like it did twenty years ago, but that's exactly what I like! Please keep it up, then I won't have to look for a restaurant for my silver wedding anniversary!!! Oh and one more thing, price/performance is amazing!

Vor 10 Jahren hat mir das Fleisch hier sehr geschmeckt...ich weiß nicht ob der Koch ein schlechten Tag hatte oder es an den Produkten lag.Also vom Niveau her kam mir das wie etwas besseres Kantinen Essen vor,dass Fleisch war so Trocken das ich den Eindruck hatte es kam direkt aus der Kühltruhe heraus,die knappen 20 € für die Hälfte der Speisen auf der Karte absolut nicht gerechtfertigt.Das Ambiente sollte dringend überholt werden.Das Service Personal ist das einzig Zufriedenstellende an diesem Abend gewesen.

Obwohl nur eine Bedienung da war wurde die Bestellung schnell aufgenommen. Auch die Getränke und Speisen wurden ohne lange Wartezeit gebracht. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Portionen waren mehr als ausreichend. Gern wieder.

Wir haben hier vor kurzem unsere Freunde zum Geburtstag eingeladen und den Abend hier verbracht. Wir saßen mit 13 Leuten im Nebenraum mit Klimaanlage und waren für uns alleine. Das Essen war sehr lecker, jeder hat etwas nach seinem Geschmack gefunden. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam und freundlich, kurz: es war ein rundum gelungener Abend ! Die 5 Personen, die zum ersten mal hier waren, zeigten sich überzeugt. Vielen Dank ans Team des Montenegro für den schönen Abend.

Das Montenegro Meat Restaurant ist ein rustikales Juwel in Saltzgitter. Es bietet eine warme Atmosphäre, exzellenten Service und eine fleischorientierte Speisekarte, die perfekt für Fleischesser ist. Zu den Highlights gehören eine gemischte Grillplatte und eine große Auswahl an Weinen. Auch wenn es nicht budgetfreundlich ist, lohnt es sich für ein besonderes Essen. Verpassen Sie nicht die köstlichen Desserts. Für Fleischliebhaber in Saltzgitter sehr zu empfehlen!

0.4 lieter Getränke 4.40€. Mehr zwiebeln als Fleisch auf dem Teller. Bedienung sehr rau. Gebackener cambert wird auf trockenem Toast gebracht ohne Butter. Keine Soße zur Pommes. Bei den Preisen hatte ich viel.mehr erwartet. Also leider einmal und nie wieder

Das Montenegro ist eines der Restaurants mit dem besten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis in der Gegend (Vor-Corona-Preise, Vor-Inflations-Preise). Es kann mit freundlichem Service und rustikalem Ambiente überzeugen. Das Essen ist sehr lecker, die Portionen groß und reichhaltig. Es existieren auch Sitzplätze im Außenbereich.

Essen war super lecker und toller Service!

Ich war von meinem Essen etwas enttäuscht..meinem Mann hat es gut geschmeckt. Bei gebackenem Käse hätte ich an Schafskäse gedacht, nicht an ein Fertigprodukt TK...Fleisch ziemlich trocken.. Wir kommen wieder und ich bestelle etwas anderes! 4 Sterne, da der Service topp war!
