Very cozy. Food great. Very friendly staff.

It was very unpleasant. Food was cheap. Only waitress always stared at me when she walked past 😅thought it was because I'm dark-skinned but I don't want to be hasty 😉. But the waitress is a very stubborn one Woman. I also felt very uncomfortable. I'll never go there again so I won't do that to myself again. Not recommended

The food is varied and okay. Atmosphere is a big word, more like a train station hall. If you don't know what you want, then you're in good hands.

Typical Chinese with a rich buffet and Mongolian grill. On Saturdays it's worth pre-ordering (we were there with 6 people, but we would probably have gotten a table even without pre-ordering because the shop is quite large). Large parking lot in front of the restaurant, but it is still too small, as it turned out when the restaurant was full. All in all, I would go there again - maybe at lunchtime if the opportunity arises.

Our lunch at the Mongu Live restaurant was a thoroughly successful experience. We visited the restaurant on a Friday, lured by the tempting buffet menu served from 12pm to 2:30pm. Despite our late arrival at 1:45 p.m., we were warmly welcomed at the entrance. The half-full restaurant gave us the opportunity to freely choose our table. The service was prompt and attentive – as soon as we were seated we were asked what drinks we wanted. The buffet far exceeded our expectations. Despite the advanced time, we found a rich selection of Chinese specialties, complemented by a variety of vegetables and some 'European' salads. The quality of the food was excellent and tasted fabulous. We were particularly impressed by the attention of the staff. Shortly before the buffet closed, we were kindly reminded to get dessert, which turned out to be just as delicious. In summary, the Mongu Live restaurant impresses with moderate prices, a varied and tasty buffet and extremely friendly and helpful staff. We can highly recommend this restaurant for an enjoyable lunch outing.

Flavor enhancer. The food tastes excessively artificial and, with the exception of the potato gratin, cannot be enjoyed. The little traveling cat doesn't make up for that either. Service was annoyed. Ambiance is ok. Parking too. Not again.

Update after around 7 years on September 22nd, 2024: It was okay, even if everything was pretty bland at lunchtime today. Fries weren't cooked properly, sesame balls were tough and mushy, the buffet wasn't refilled in a timely manner, labels didn't fit. Maybe it's better in the evening?! 2017: We were there for the first time today and were very excited. We haven't felt this comfortable in a long time. Class!

A really nice, bright and well-divided restaurant with a lot to choose from on the menu or even better at the buffet. It is the largest in all of Mönchengladbach with Asian cuisine. On the weekend you should book in advance if you want a table. There is a buffet until 10 p.m Really large parking lot with outside area so I can only recommend it and I've been to many Asian restaurants...

At the first table in the middle of the restaurant with the most pleasant climate, the waitresses didn't notice me while they were... B. were busy with stocking up or doing nothing. After using the toilet, I successfully chose a table almost next to the cash register. The selection of Chinese dishes is small compared to fries etc. The taste is acceptable. A hotspot for old pensioners who want to have a cheap lunch with the usual side effects that I find unpleasant. It was my first and last visit there.

The waitresses aren't exactly friendly and seem very listless or in a bad mood. Were there for the fourth time now, and always the same, no trace of service. My daughter once spilled the orange juice and we had to ask three times for a cloth; they never even had the idea to bring us a new one. The last time the famous “coffee machine is broken” trick was used again and again. I once worked as a waiter myself and my colleague at the bar wanted me to always tell the guests in the evening if they ordered coffee that the machine was broken so that the guests wouldn't stay longer after a pick-me-up and he could clean the machine and it will end sooner. I could see the same impudent “sorry, the machine is broken” grin on her lips as my colleague back then. When I asked the other waitress if the coffee machine was broken, she said coldly, "No, we also have 2 machines" I don't understand why they work there if they don't feel like it. As a waiter or waitress, you should at least give your guests a nice evening. You shouldn't be surprised about poor tips. We don't feel like coming again.

We had dinner last night and really enjoyed it. Everything was fresh and hot. There was a large selection of dishes and dessert was great. After two grilled plates and two plates from the buffet, everyone was satisfied. I can only recommend it! In addition, everyone was friendly and nice, and service was very satisfactory. At the reception we were greeted by a very friendly and sweet man.

A huge selection, buffet, fish/meat can be left raw on a plate with a sauce to the chef. It is then freshly prepared and brought to the table by a robot. Here you have to be careful not to eat too much.

Well, ...we were there on Sunday at 8:30 p.m., the main buffet was still quite well stocked and relatively clean. But the selection has been reduced Although this is the case with this Chinese guy Not so good with the cleanliness... the floor was sticky and the buffet for dessert looked like pigs had walked over it... there was melted ice cream on the window of the ice chest... and it wasn't wiped clean either... the chocolate fountain looked disgusting.. old wooden sticks, spilled chocolate and Other food leftovers (old banana pieces) were lying around...hmmmm... There were also waffles that had apparently been sitting there for hours heated plate. There were bowls next to it, one of which was completely empty and stood there covered in dirt when asked would it be refilled again? The waitress said... no, not today... there was a lot going on and... then everything is gone...ah ha... But you pay the same as the guests who come at 6 p.m.... Well, I can't really recommend this place.. but must do justice to the guests who have had similar experiences...

Once again we were eating with three generations. This time at Mongu Live 168 in Mönchengladbach. The selection at the buffet was good and absolutely sufficient. I didn't try the sushi because it looked unappetizing at first, but that was because of the people who served it. Later new plates were put up and my first impression was revised. We liked all the dishes we tried, they were warm or hot, so nothing to complain about. The service was good, friendly and quick. We also had something fried, the selection was absolutely sufficient and the dishes were prepared quickly. A small point of criticism was the dishes, there were some plates that weren't cleaned well, but since there were enough plates available, it wasn't a problem. But the glasses could also be cleaned or polished better, this was a bit borderline. But overall everything was absolutely fine and we would eat here again if we were in the area.

I can say that it is nice among the open buffet restaurants, it would be better if there was a little more chicken menu, but still the delicious desserts are so good.

Well, that's how it went. Everything seems to have glutamate. As a dessert highlight there are sour apple rings from Haribo. Actually a joke. Well for €8.90 I don't know if you can ask for more. I did not like it. I won't come here again.

There's a lot of people, but fresh new hot and cold dishes are regularly filled up or refilled to suit every taste, which means you can really fill your stomach for little money per person. Recommended for young and old. Anyone who likes Chinese cuisine is in good hands there.

Were there for the first time today and never again. Ambience was ok but noisy and the women's toilet was not clean. The food was cold, bland and some of it was burnt and no longer edible. What also didn't work was that I had 2 all you can with soft drinks and once all you can with the drinks separately because I wanted to drink 1 beer and my companion (1 child and my sister) only wanted soft drinks. We either all heard the same thing with beer and my nephew was asked how old he was even though I was the only one who wanted to drink one beer. Which seemed very strange to us. I think the waitress needs training. The drinks were brought in large glasses without asking whether we would like them that way. I found the robot funny but probably serves as a distraction from eating. Which wasn't very good. I can't recommend it.

The Mongu Live 168 leaves me with a mixed taste. The food from the Chinese buffet is delicious in itself, the robot operation is funny. The shop is generally very busy and we usually had to wait a long time for food from the Mongolian grill. The parking situation is a disaster on busy days.

The food was always plentiful, but very greasy. We both had stomach problems later that evening. When we ordered from the Mongolian, the wrong plate was brought to us. It was also very loud and uncomfortable for us because it was very crowded. Unfortunately it wasn't clean either because the small children's food was left on the floor. An employee had walked past it at least 10 times.

The food on offer is delicious. The selection isn't too big but it wasn't bad. The service was nice, but unfortunately you always had to make sure that someone saw you and call you if the drink was empty and you wanted a new one. Parking is an absolute disaster at certain times.

Buffet was only lukewarm at 8 p.m It used to be better

The plates were not preheated and some of the food was already cold. But it was always refilled. The reception was very nice and friendly. The waitress also quickly cleared away the empty plates and brought a large glass instead of a small cola, which she then exchanged after first drinking it. The food was overall very tasty. We then had to wait a little longer for the bill. It was reasonably priced and I can recommend it.

Food is the biggest cheap thing you can give a person. I don't know who paid the other people for these positive contributions during the recession, but they must have been paid a 3-digit sum in any case. The prices for the drinks are also underground. I'm sure prices in Germany during hyperinflation in 1928 were cheaper than they are now. 8 euros for a large Coke is cutthroat. These mass-produced goods were cooked with less love than orphans' food. I hope everyone with more brain cells than room temperature there won't be any food!!!!

Maggi and flavor enhancers in the buffet, almost every dish contains glutamate. It has hardly anything to do with Asian cuisine. Potato gratin where the potatoes are still almost raw and fries at the Chinese restaurant? somewhat pathetic. Where are the Chinese chefs? without being discriminatory, I miss the authentic chefs. But the main thing is that everything is cheap, cheap and cheaper... Please change your concept! Because we like to come and eat with you.

Best Mongolian Restaurant I love the soup and the food there is very tasty

When you eat there for many years, you know what's on offer and like to go back again and again. The selection is not only good but also of high quality. I was just there last weekend on January 24th. It's been at least 5 years now and it hasn't gotten any worse. For me, that's just my feeling, I can only recommend it.

First of all, you have to say that the food there is good value for money. At €21.90 for what's on offer, you really can't complain. The buffet ultimately contains whatever your heart desires. Be it soups, an estimated 40 starter options and ingredients, plenty of main courses with a variety of side dishes and also a variety of desserts. The drinks are also reasonably priced. However, you have to be aware that this has nothing to do with food culture or even a cozy dinner. If I assume that the restaurant had what felt like 200 guests last night and each person walked to the buffet about 4-5 times, you can imagine what a hustle and bustle there is at the buffet. Food culture is a little different. If you want to spend a nice evening with friends, this is the wrong place for you. But you can definitely do it once a year.

Wir waren gestern Abend für buffet essen Und es hat so sehr lecker geschmeckt hat und wir kommen immer wieder und ist auch nicht so teuer

Das Essen vom Buffet und Livecooking ist sehr abwechslungsreich, sodass für jeden etwas dabei ist und die Nachtischauswahl ist sehr groß, unter anderem mit Softeis und selbstgemachten Waffeln. Ein weiteres Highlight im Service ist der Service Roboter des Livecooking- Bereichs

Leider hat das Essen sehr nachgelassen! Wir sind da gerne hingegangen, aber wir suchen und nun einen neuen Chinesen. Zum Essen muss man sagen, das es geschmacklich einfach nach nichts schmeckt.

Das Essen schmeckt super und das All-You-Can-Eat Buffet kann sich sehen lassen. Ich möchte dennoch dahingehend appellieren, dass man sich die Teller nicht nutzlos vollhaut und die Hälfte wegschmeißen muss. Lieber ein- bis zweimal häufiger gehen. Das Ambiente kann sich ebenfalls wirklich sehen lassen.

War wie immer einfach nur lecker. Auch wenn der Laden bei weitem nicht ausgebucht war, gab es alles frisch, und am Buffet wurde immer wieder nachgelegt. Einziger Minuspunkt ist das uninspiriert Dessertbuffet gewesen. Das gibt es halt überall gleich...Wackelpudding, Obst und Eis. Trotzdem kommen wir gerne wieder.

Asiatisches Buffet eben, Essen ist sehr lecker,es wird regelmäßig aufgefüllt und Preis/Leistung stimmt! Hier macht man nichts falsch.
