Der Besuch im Mongos war so, wie wir das Restaurant kennengelernt haben: - ein absolut hervorragendes Buffet Immer frisch aufgefüllt, nie ein leeres Behältnis, immer frische Ware - supernetter und immer aufmerksamer Service. Alle Mitarbeiter sind darauf bedacht, dass es dem Gast gutgeht. - klasse Ambiente So macht der Besuch im Duisburger Innenhafen Spaß! Vielen Dank!

Die für uns zuständige Mitarbeiterin war mit unserer Betreuung teilweise überfordert. Die Zeit zwischen dem servieren der warmen Hauptspeise und dem Bringen der Beilage war inakzeptabel.

Haben jetzt schon div. Mongos Restaurant durch und das war definitiv das lauteste. Man konnte sein eigenes Wort nicht verstehen. Auch das Essen war anders als in anderen Läden, Buffet würde nur schleppend aufgefüllt. Wenn wir nochmal gehen dann höchstens nach Essen.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung! Leider eine geänderte Speisekarte. Das Mongo‘s Select gibt es leider nicht mehr.

Wie immer! Ein Genuss und tolles Personal! Von den Köchen bis zum Service fühlt man sich hier willkommen und rund um wohl! Die Mitarbeiter haben immer ein Lächeln und man merkt das das Betriebsklima hier stimmt. Vor allem war es wieder super lecker. Hier stimmt einfach das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis. Wir haben im Mongo's einen wundervollen Weihnachtsbrunch genossen. Das Buffet war reichlich, abwechslungsreich und so liebevoll aufgebaut und dekoriert. So schön angerichtet. Allein die mühevolle Beschriftung der kleinen Steine neben den Speisen. Es gab verschiedene Vorspeisen und Nachspeisen. Auch Vegetarier und Veganer werden hier fündig. Zuzüglich konnte man sich jeder Zeit an Sekt und Kaffee selbst bedienen. Persönlich kann ich die Mongo's Limonaden empfehlen. Sehen nicht nur einladend aus, sind auch verdammt lecker. All das verdankt man dem überaus fleißigen, zuvorkommenden und sympathischen Team. Ohne diese Menschen wäre es nicht ansatzweise so lecker, schön und besonders. Man fühlt sich wohl, kann abschalten, genießen und das nur wegen der freundlichen bekannten Gesichter, die einen jedes Mal herzlich in Empfang nehmen. Ein Lieblingsort. Danke dafür.

Essen war wie immer sehr lecker und auch schnell am Tisch. Der Service war nur etwas schlechter als sonst weil der Laden sehr voll war aber war auch ein Samstag Abend also nichts ungewöhnliches

A great concept where everyone can put together their own meal. Also suitable for children who like to try new foods.

While the restaurant offers gluten-free options, for those with celiac disease, a visit can be rather stressful and uncertain. Our all-you-can-eat buffet was very crowded, the staff rarely answered my questions reliably, and the labeling of the dishes was often inconsistent. Many "gluten-free" dishes were indeed problematic because ingredients were prepared together. I found the spices and sauces to be rather average in terms of taste. For non-celiac diners, the buffet is varied and reasonably priced, but those who need to be mindful of gluten should proceed with caution.

Frische Zutaten. Freundlicher Service. Getränkepreise gehoben! Es ist immer wieder eine schöne Location um gemütlich „ mal etwas anderes “ zu probieren bzw. zu essen.

Das All-you-can-eat-Konzept hier ist sehr gelungen : Man füllt sich selbst die Schale mit frischen Zutaten – Gemüse, Fleisch, Fisch, vegan – wählt eine Sauce und alles wird frisch auf dem großen Mongo-Grill zubereitet. So schmeckt’s jedes Mal anders und genau nach meinem Geschmack. Die Zutaten sind frisch und einextrem freundliches Team. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Wir wurden davon überrascht das an Feiertagen das Mongo's Total Buffet günstiger ist und es zusätzlich sogar noch eine Salat, Dessert und Suppenstation sowie noch weitere Snacks wie Gyozas, Mini-Frühlingsrollen Chicken Nuggets und mehr gab. Waren wieder vollauf begeistert und werden wieder kommen...

Nice staff and the food was good

A truly fantastic restaurant. We come here quite often, even though the prices have gotten pretty high. But the concept speaks for itself, and there's something delicious for everyone, since everyone can choose exactly what they like. The staff is also incredibly friendly and efficient. We'll definitely be back!

Das Essen ist top, für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei die Auswahl an Gemüse und Fleisch ist ausreichend Teilweise auch Saisonal und frisch. Die Servicekraft war aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Gerne wieder.

We go there often and enjoy it. The staff is super friendly, the selection is excellent, and the marinades are delicious 😋 Unfortunately, it's a bit cramped in places, which means there's not much privacy. The music could be a bit quieter, but that's a matter of taste 😉

We had a great time at Mongos today, but we only managed to try an average of three bowls of delicious food from the all-you-can-eat menu (because it was super tasty, but just too much). Dessert and waffles were also included for the price, which was great!

Today was our first time at Mongos, and also our last. The wrong sauce was poured on the food, even though the correct one was listed. The peanut sauce tasted exactly like peanut butter. And some of the food was burnt. My piece of chicken liver still had a piece of gallbladder hanging off it. When I asked for small spoons for dessert, I was told they didn't have any more and I should just use a soup spoon. Also, the finger food buffet was really cheesy.

A wonderful place. When you first come here, you don't know what to do. But once you figure it out, everything becomes clear and delicious. Buffet style. I recommend it.

Update: I eat here fairly regularly and am generally satisfied, but things change from time to time, which I personally consider a small negative. But first, the positive: Food – something for everyone, whether vegetarian or vegan. I haven't seen vegan meat alternatives at any other restaurant 👌🏽 Otherwise, a nice selection of ingredients, which I've only seen at Mongo's so far. The atmosphere – actually quite pleasant, although it's quite crowded with tables, they still try to create a bit of distance for a bit more privacy. Please ask people at the beginning if they're eating meat at the buffet so that we can clarify whether the food can be prepared on the same side as the meat. Online reservations are possible. What I find a shame is that the online ordering function has been discontinued; we really liked it. Everyone could decide whether they wanted to order from the staff or order themselves via the QR code. I think the reason they stopped offering online payment was because they couldn't track who had already paid, and that probably made it easier for people to skip out on the bill... Staff: Chanel is an excellent employee, you have a real gem there, treat her well so she'll stay with you forever :) I would like it if the online reservation could show you how long you're booking for. Sometimes I get there and it seems like we have no limit, and then again we do, and that's not as transparent as it could be. The music in the restaurant is a bit too loud/dominant for me. It gives me Sausalitos vibes. Maybe a bit quieter and more melodic lounge music that's less intrusive, because then it gets louder as the restaurant gets full. I think sauces are always a hit and miss. The solid sauces on the menu have also been changed again, and I now think they differ more from one another. Could you cut the seaweed in half at the buffet so that you can take it out of the bowl? Because they're so long, it's difficult to maneuver them into your bowl, so I don't use them anymore because it's such a nuisance. Perhaps a cutlery rest/bench at the table would be useful, since you're supposed to use the same cutlery all the time and you often don't know where to put it. Since you only have one napkin, which you use anyway, I don't know where to put it. Otherwise, should I always set out two napkins? (At Sunday brunch, you can use new cutlery and napkins, which are laid out there, which I think is great.) The sauce of the month can only be voted on via Facebook, but not everyone has Facebook. The voting would be open to everyone via your website :) Otherwise, your restaurant is a great place, keep it up. ✨👍🏽

Everything was very cramped, very crowded, and therefore very loud. We would never go to Mongos in Duisburg again. It's more of a "canteen" than a restaurant these days.

The Duisburg Mongo's branch is truly a very pleasant restaurant. Three of us visited on a Sunday and were primarily served by Chanel, whom I'd like to mention by name because she was extremely kind, courteous, and reliable. We felt very comfortable with her! The service team was also always friendly and courteous. The restaurant wasn't very busy at around 4 p.m., so we were able to fill our bowls in peace and our food was delivered to our table very quickly. Everything was to our satisfaction. The only pity is that Duisburg isn't "around the corner" for us; otherwise, we would definitely be visiting this branch more often in the future. I can highly recommend this Mongo's!

Today, I was a guest at "Mongo's" restaurant at Duisburg Harbor for the first time for a birthday celebration, and I was absolutely thrilled by the exquisite food! While I'd previously only experienced the Mongolian dishes typically offered at Chinese restaurants, usually at the evening buffet, which, just like here, you could put together yourself and which were also freshly prepared on-site, the menu at "Mongo's" unfolded into a true splendor of delicacies, with delicious starters and desserts and a variety of sauces, spices, and all kinds of fresh ingredients! A truly unforgettable experience! Today, there were numerous birthday guests in the restaurant, and yet the service team was always attentive and courteous! I would like to thank you very much for this particularly enjoyable evening! However, I have to deduct one star from my rating because this restaurant is not wheelchair accessible: After my knee surgery, I still have difficulty walking and had to climb several steps at the entrance, and the restroom area is only accessible via a long flight of stairs! Wheelchair users would therefore have no way to enter the restaurant, let alone use the restroom. Unfortunately, there is no "accessible restroom" with wall mounts, which I consider a drawback and very sorry about!! Otherwise, I can definitely recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience! But please urgently improve the service for guests with disabilities!

The food and ambiance were very good! Service was more or less okay. Prices were far too high in my opinion. Unfortunately, the concept has become outdated; the introduction of time slots at the time was very customer-unfriendly. Therefore, I rarely visit these days, even though this rule seems to have been dropped.

The food is always really good, the sauces are constantly changing, which always brings a breath of fresh air. I'd like to see separate grills for vegetarians and omnivores, but that might be a lot of demand. The service, however, is outstanding – Chanel, in particular, is always a really great server, attentive and friendly. I've rarely had such great service in a restaurant!

Wir gehen regelmäßig zu Mongo´s, da es uns dort sehr gut gefällt. Das was wir bei jedem Besuch feststellen oder festgestellt haben ist, dass die MitarbeiterInnen unwahrscheinlich freundlich und aufmerksam sind. Das ist schon mal ein großes Plus. Bei der Auswahl an Gemüsen und Fleisch bleibt kein Wunsch offen, alles lecker und frisch. Die Getränkeauswahl ist soweit auch in Ordnung. Wir freuen uns schon wieder auf ein Wiedersehen.

So findet jeder von uns was er mag und die Auswahl ist groß. Die Marinaden wechseln regelmäßig und man findet immer wieder neue Leckereien zum Probieren. Es macht einfach Spaß. Das Mongo's ist so liebevoll, schick und gemütlich eingerichtet. Wir finden es immer sauber und gepflegt vor. Auch die Toiletten. Ein absoluter Wohlfühlort zum Genießen. Was vor allem an den überaus herzlichen und zuvorkommenden Menschen liegt, die dort jeden Tag dafür sorgen, dass wir ein unglaublich schönes Erlebnis erhalten. Besonders freuen wir uns über dieselben freundlichen Gesichter, die man schon so lange kennt und wertschätzt. Vom Service her, sowie auch menschlich. Danke, wir kommen immer gerne wieder ❤️.

Toller Service, beim Eintritt mit einem Lächeln empfangen, absolut hilfsbereit und auch sehr geduldig bei der Erklärung der Speisekarte und des Konzeptes. Das Essen ist qulitativ sehr hochwertig. Egal ob Gemüse oder das Fleisch, alles ist sehr frisch. Das Mongos ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.

The food is excellent, a nice selection and variety thanks to the Mongolian grill experience. Unfortunately, it was very crowded during our visit, which led to a bit of a cafeteria-like noise and made quiet conversation difficult, so it deducted one star for the ambience. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed, clean, and modern.

The food wasn't really any better or worse than other Mongolian BBQs. If you're so focused on the sauces, you should probably sell them separately. I would have celebrated that and bought two. If you used a pen and paper system, an employee wouldn't always have to come over to write down the new sauce. That would save the staff work and shorten the processing time for the customer. Scoville ratings for the hot sauces would have been cool. PS: Please don't serve vodka at room temperature.

Even though I had mentioned it was today's birthday at the beginning. And then it was too late...but when we come back next year on July 20th, because it was really lovely overall, I'll definitely remember the birthday discount for the Asian Brunch. 😉😁

Very pleasantly surprised for the first time. The food was all top-notch! The atmosphere is nice and pleasant. When it was a bit emptier, it was very relaxed, but when it was completely full, you felt at ease. The first waitress we had was top-notch, but the one who came next was OK. The price for the two of us on Sunday was €80 for the buffet, including four drinks and a tip. So, absolutely reasonable for the service and atmosphere. Highly recommended and definitely worth a second visit.

Dem Wunsch nach einem ruhigen Tisch wurde leider nicht entsprochen. Die Abstände der Tische sind sehr gering, sodass eine ungestörte Unterhaltung nicht möglich ist. Zum Teil sind Durchgänge so eng, dass bei einer erforderlichen Räumung es zu erheblichen Verzögerungen kommen könnte. Der Service ist supernett, fröhlich unkompliziert und sehr hilfsbereit. Die Qualität des Essens ist gut, mit Ausnahme des Hähnchen- und Schweinefleisches. Der Nachtisch ist exzellent.

After half a year, we went back with friends. Super friendly service. Sunday brunch now includes filter coffee and bottled water for a small fee. Great atmosphere right on the waterfront in Duisburg on the promenade.

Really nice. Service is always friendly and helpful. However, it seems understaffed at peak times. I wish the service was more supportive. But the food is excellent, and the fact that it's all-you-can-eat and also has an alternative for smaller eaters is good. I'd be happy to come back.

Disappointing! We were there at Easter and I mentioned gluten-free when making the reservation. According to the homepage this isn't a problem... well it was! Nothing worked and I had a gluten accident due to incorrect information. The service staff didn't understand the seriousness of the situation and downplayed it - also with regard to the consequences of gluten consumption. The rest of the evening wasn't like that either. The hot dishes at the buffet were cold and the dessert was probably made from ready-made mixes.

We ate at Mongo's during the week. On the menu outside, under Mongo's Total (All you can eat), it says that soft drinks and beers are included. Unfortunately, when billing, it turned out that the drinks were not part of the offer. There is also no dessert included in the price. At almost €36 per person, we felt this was too expensive for the existing buffet selection/offer. However, the food is good so far. The different types of vegetables and meat are fresh and clean in the buffet counter. There is a good list of sauces for allergy sufferers (there are also many gluten-free sauces/dishes available). The service was friendly, quick and attentive.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und das Personal super freundlich. Da man sehr nah beieinander sitzt ist die Lautstärke eher hoch und man muss laut sprechen um sich zu unterhalten. Man kann , bei gutem Wetter draussen sitzen und hat einen tollen Blick aufs Wasser.

Immer einen Besuch wert. Vom Empfang bis zur Verabschiedung alles super. Das Personal ist immer freundlich und schnell. Heute war es sehr entspannt, da nicht so voll. Das Essen ist immer frisch und die Schalen werden sofort aufgefüllt.

There were 9 of us there today including 2 children. We've been to the Mongolian restaurant several times and it's always been delicious, but today I would particularly like to highlight the waitress' great way of dealing with the children! It really made the lovely evening complete. Gladly again!

In any case, a stop at Mongo's is a must when visiting Duisburg's inner harbor. In addition to the buffet standards such as beef, pork and poultry, there are also unusual types of meat and fish. The dessert for 2 people is great. Super nice and attentive staff. The whole thing is rounded off by an appealing ambience.

5 Sterne – Absolut empfehlenswert! Wir haben im Mongos Duisburg zu zweit einen Geburtstag gefeiert und es war einfach top! Das All You Can Eat & Drink-Angebot war super: riesige Auswahl an frischen Zutaten, leckere Soßen und alles wurde direkt frisch zubereitet – geschmacklich echt ein Highlight! Auch bei den Getränken war alles dabei, was man braucht (keine Cocktails, aber tolle Auswahl an Softdrinks, Bier, Wein usw.). Ein ganz besonderes Lob geht an unsere Bedienung Chanel – super freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich. Sie hat uns den Abend noch schöner gemacht und sich wirklich toll um uns gekümmert. Das Ambiente war angenehm und gemütlich – perfekt für einen besonderen Anlass. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!
