Large selection at the buffet, everything was very tasty

A very large restaurant, which makes it seem uncomfortable. I was looking forward to original Mongolian food, which could also easily be considered Thai food: with coconut milk. It was tasty, no doubt about it, but it wasn't Mongolian!

It's best to reserve a table on Saturday or Sunday, Thursday to Friday you can eat in peace, with a large selection. Top loading 😉

We were there with a group on a Saturday evening. The scheduled time was 6 p.m. When making the reservation it was stated that Saturdays only open at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Since I had to consult with my colleagues, I asked whether you had to eat buffet or whether a la carte was also possible. I was confirmed that s a la carte was possible. When we got there, after being seated, we were told that a la carte was not possible and only buffet was available (communication problem?). The buffet was well laid out, including a grill, dessert and drinks for around €33. I found the quality of the grilled food (6 types of fish, 6 types of meat) to be poor because of the very unevenly well-parsed pieces of meat. I wasn't impressed by the tasteless sauce for the fish either. The other components of the beffet were all great, even if standard. Points are also deducted for me because of the chocolate fountain. Since the chocolate has to be pumped, it is already more liquid than chocolate, but after I had my chocolate-covered banana piece in place it was hardly visible that it was in the fountain. The service was always helpful, friendly and even willing to joke. Overall, a nice visit, not too expensive at €33 including drinks, but a buffet without a grill is often offered for under €15, so everyone has to decide for themselves whether they need the grill.

The food was quite good, but unfortunately it was far too loud and the staff literally cleaned us out, which I found very rude. There were nine of us. In other words, the gentlemen also earned good money from us. I think it's really cheeky to cause such a disturbance at our table. Again ? Rather not. Too bad. It's more like a check-in hall.

A great experience! We were there for lunch on Sunday. The selection is huge. The food was excellent. The only thing we didn't like was that we had to get our own drinks. We'll be back 💪🏻

No Mongolian food on the menu. Why is this called Mongolia Restaurant? It's like calling a Restaurant Icelandic Restaurant and only serving Italian food.

I highly recommend it. A quick tip: reserve a table the day before, especially if you plan to eat there on a Saturday.

Good food, good service. If you're from the UK ask for your normal order but with extra spice. We had a table of ten and everything came out as ordered.

Wonderful ambience, very good buffet, always fresh, sufficient and varied ingredients. Friendly, non-intrusive service. I've celebrated my birthday there several times. Which was always beautifully prepared by the two owners. It's always nice to spend time there with the family.

We had the lunch buffet today. The buffet is manageable, there are the most basic dishes and desserts. Nothing special in terms of taste, you can get it everywhere. Only the included drinks are beneficial. The word large canteen describes the atmosphere quite well. It is loud and not suitable for staying for long periods of time. Dirty plates and empty bottles were quickly collected by the staff. The toilets are clean but extremely narrow. So it may be that after peeing you have to wait until your rival is finished because you can't get past him. Whether you eat here or at any other Chinese restaurant makes no difference to us.

Disgusting! Only the drinks deserve 1 star but the food doesn't even deserve half a star! The food was lukewarm, the sauces were leftovers . I think they were there all day! Never again!!

Unfortunately for me it's totally soulless. Everything, absolutely everything, is self-service. Food, drinks, even paying. You sometimes have to wait in line for a quarter of an hour to get a cup of coffee. Wine you can tap yourself from a 5l barrel. The selection of food is good, but the quality is in the lower middle segment and unfortunately too cold. The furniture itself is okay, but unfortunately it only has the charm of a canteen.

I'm honest. Ambiance is good / food good / drinks (actually) top. Very high quality drinks. I think it's one of the best in Hildesheim too. I actually wrote over drinks; As I have now noticed, many people miss KRISTALL WHEAT BEER. Unfortunately, we do too.

Very tasty food with a large selection. The dessert still has room for improvement in terms of taste. We really like the concept (buffet and drinks flat rate for the total price) and it results in a good price-performance ratio. Table reservation is recommended.

The food is good and very extensive. Service is non-existent except at the entrance and when paying. At least at the buffet. Therefore sufficient. The clothes stink extremely after the visit, which is really not nice. The evening buffet now costs €33, which is a real bargain. Yes, drinks flat rate is included. But if you're honest, most people drink a maximum of 2 drinks. This might be worth it for a business lunch if you are there for a long time. For someone who just wants to eat, this is now too expensive for me. Unfortunately it was our last visit.

The buffet offers solid food, but without many special highlights. Anyone who expects extraordinary taste experiences here will be disappointed. The selection of drinks is even more impressive - especially when you consider that they are included in the price. From iced tea, spritzers, classic soft drinks and water to coffee, there is really something for everyone. On Saturday lunchtime we paid €21 per person for the all-you-can-eat with all-you-can-drink offer, which overall represents very good value for money. The restaurant was busy at the time, which was reflected in a loud and restless atmosphere. However, this is not unusual in a buffet restaurant at this price level. Particularly positive is the friendly waiter, who patiently explained to us at the beginning how the concept works and where we can find food and drinks. The service was also surprisingly quick despite the crowds. Overall it was a pleasant visit. I wouldn't necessarily come back for the food alone, but given the value for money including the drinks, I wouldn't be averse to stopping by again.

The food was good overall, I really like that the high-quality bottled drinks such as soft drinks, beer and coffee specialties are also included. Only the skin of the duck could have been much crispier.

Boxing day meal with family. Now done in a two shifts? 2.30hrs to finish and leave. Was completely over booked with long queues on all of the self-service hot plates. Have used it other years and it ran better, With the time limit it led to a over feed and people cramming there plates full and there for the long queueing! Also a hefte price rise plus Christmas/ New year extra price on top🤬 Which was not on the menu but people were informed after they had started eating??

Lunch is always delicious 5 stars. The staff is very friendly and always checks whether everything is OK and clears the tables. Cleanliness and order are the order of the day. We always enjoy going there.

Very unfriendly staff. We felt like we were being mass processed. When I wanted to put down a drinking bottle to put dessert on my plate, there was immediately unfriendly complaining. We'll be giving up this restaurant soon!

Guys, it really wasn't good, it was by far the worst Mongolian/Asian restaurant, no dessert, nothing was refilled, so all that was left was grapes and the food was rubbish, it just didn't taste good, never again and then €33, everything was clear

A nice restaurant with a large selection at the all-you-can-eat buffet, unfortunately with a price-performance ratio that is no longer understandable. Particularly in the evenings, the food from the buffet is sometimes cold, and the salads in particular are already wilted and no longer appetizing. The all-you-can drink is a nice addition, but if some of the food tastes cold or "old" or stale, or there are dirty plates on the racks for clean dishes, you lose your appetite.

Food good, plenty of choice for vegans too. Drinks are at a flat rate, which I personally think is quite good. Cheap during the day, the evening buffet a little more expensive but overall affordable. What's a little annoying is that some people at the buffet are running around and bumping into one or the other. The sanitary facilities are clean and cleaned regularly. All in all great, recommended and worth a visit to the restaurant.

Brutally delicious, worth every cent

I've been there for a buffet for years. There is nothing wrong with the food. Lots of choice, with the option of having it freshly prepared. What really bothered me when I was with me was the warmth in the restaurant. At some point the store was completely full and you noticed how the temperatures kept rising. We were really sick because there was hardly any oxygen coming through the small, tilted windows. When I asked if the larger windows (at least the one under which we were sitting) could be opened, this was answered in the negative. It's a shame because we couldn't take it anymore and then had to leave. As soon as we were out in the passage, we felt fine again.

All in all a very nice restaurant.

Such concepts are about masses. If you go as a couple or alone, it is not lucrative for the operators. Two people are not allowed to sit at a table for four, even if there isn't much going on anyway, then the uncharming waiter comes and rudely tells them that they should sit at the small table in the aisle. The soup tasted like nothing - like water. The other food was OK - but nothing special either. The drinks are great in the small glass bottles that you can take out of the fridge. You also get a coffee crema at the end. Fine for large celebrations.

Interesting "all you can eat and drink" concept - everything is self-service. The selection of dishes is plentiful and attractively presented, but I was not impressed by the taste.

Very generous buffet. Extensive, great selection. Taste great! The service staff continually cleared away and cleaned tables when customers left. Prepared for the next customers, everything went really well. The restaurant was very full, which of course speaks for the quality, but the ambience is down a star, you don't have that much "peace and quiet"

I didn't know about the buffet with flat rate drinks in advance and it wasn't worth it for me personally. On the other hand, you have full cost control and know exactly what you are paying. The food was very tasty and the drink selection left nothing to be desired.

Update: Price increase of 10% since the last visit is already a big jump. Still okay, since all drinks except spirits are included, but it's starting to get borderline bad unless no one has to drive afterwards and thanks hungry first. Otherwise: The guest room welcomed us large and clean. The staff welcomed and friendly and showed us to our table. Everything at the buffet looked delicious and there was always someone there to refill here, then there and then there. The price of €30 seems quite high, but since a large variety of high-quality food and all drinks except spirits were included, that's perfectly fine. Not eating for the day beforehand is a good idea; Not eating anything the day after is almost a given. We were all full... No!... pasta and very satisfied

Unfortunately, I arrived far too early for my appointment and by a stroke of luck we, my partner and I, spontaneously got a table for two. So we enjoyed our meal in a relaxed atmosphere (a little cool at place 65, right near the door) and were thrilled with the selection :) The service was extremely attentive. The tables were regularly emptied to make space. When we asked about glasses, we were directed to the right corner in the restaurant and everything else was fine. The toilets are clean and easy to find too :) Soap, toilet paper and towel paper for drying off are available. Hand disinfection in front of the toilets! Super! Maybe disinfection for the toilet seat would be nice! But what else can I say about toilets?😄 You can't get out of here without a full stomach! Reservation is always an advantage! Be aware of this! Preferably a few days beforehand! I wish all coming guests a good appetite and eat slowly, there is enough there! 🤪😄

Honest opinion about the restaurant: Food isn't really warm and if you're lucky you'll get really tasty food. Sauce spoons were placed from the ground back into the bowls… The staff seems very overwhelmed and unfortunately only occasionally friendly. The floor of the toilets sticks very badly and the hygienic conditions of the toilets leave a lot to be desired for a restaurant. All in all, for a small appetite, ok. Otherwise you have to know for yourself.

Good food and quite a large selection...Despite a short-term reservation and complications, we were still able to get a table for 2 people.. A little warm in the restaurant, which makes it difficult to eat a lot without sweating. And of course, because it is always fully booked, it is also very loud and it is difficult to have a conversation.. All in all, happy again :)

Very tasty food. It's definitely worth the money. Very nice service, even if it is a bit stressful for the staff. It was pretty crowded and when everyone arrived at 6 p.m., all the guests wanted to eat at the same time. But the system works very well and you don't have to wait long in line at the buffet. Branded drinks are included free of charge.

Not a culinary highlight, but very decent and tasty food of standard quality. An all-you-can-eat&drink buffet is offered, which also includes beer and wine in addition to soft drinks. Lunch currently costs €22/person, dinner (extended buffet) costs €33/person. I always enjoy coming back to eat. The staff is friendly, although occasionally a bit tense due to the high workload. Reservation recommended!

All in all a really nice place to get a good food which is worth the price. 33€ for all you can eat and drink, including alot of different soft drinks, aswell as beer, wines, Coffee and so on. The service is quick, food is tasty and you can let them grill your food. The used plates, empty bottles are taken care of pretty quickly by the staff. It was pretty crowded but that speaks for its own popularity. 10/10 would go again.

We were here for the first time today. I didn't like the soup that much, but that's a matter of taste. There was a good selection of sushi, including vegetarian. The food was very tasty. I particularly liked the baked chicken and baked pudding for dessert (along with the baked banana). There was also a very good selection of drinks. We will come again.

Everything was very tasty, the children and guests were very happy and full. Drinks are included in the price. There is a chocolate fountain and ice cream from the vending machine.

Staff very friendly and accommodating! Ambience quite okay for a Chinese/Mongolian restaurant. Built pretty tight and close to each other. Food was mediocre. Many of the dishes were cold and the cook on the grill didn't cook some of them well. In addition, some dishes that are available in other equivalent restaurants were missing, e.g. Mussels or fries. Parking only for a fee! Overall 3 out of 5 stars.
