Molly Malone's in Berlin

Kurz gesagt: Sportübertragung lief ohne Ton, dazu laute Musik. Bitte, die Lautstärke zu reduzieren – unhöflicher Barkeeper. Ich war schon oft im Molly Malones, hauptsächlich wegen der beworbenen „Live-Sportübertragungen“. Bisher hatte ich dort nie Probleme, mir Spiele anzusehen (GAA, Fußball usw.), und es ist angenehm ruhiger als in anderen irischen Lokalen. Letztes Mal war es allerdings wirklich ein Witz. Ein paar Freunde und ich wollten letzte Woche das Halbfinale Cork gegen Galway sehen – der Spielbeginn war früh genug, aber als wir ankamen, lief gerade Hurling, also setzten wir uns. Es war eine Wiederholung eines alten Spiels, und die Angestellten spielten im Hintergrund Musik, was mich nicht störte. Als das Spiel dann anfangen sollte (und alle in der Bar wegen dieses Spiels da waren), hatten sie immer noch nicht auf Live-Übertragung umgeschaltet. Das schafften sie schließlich zwei Minuten nach Spielbeginn. Die Übertragung selbst war jedoch stumm, was ich ziemlich notwendig finde, wenn der Hurling-Ball praktisch unsichtbar ist. Warum? Der Barkeeper, der ein Lana-Del-Rey-T-Shirt trug, spielte ihre Musik während des gesamten Spiels in einer Lautstärke, die eine normale Unterhaltung nahezu unmöglich machte. In der Halbzeit fragte mein Freund, ob die Spiellautstärke etwas höher gestellt werden könnte. Diese Bitte wurde mit einem sarkastischen „Nein, tut mir leid“ abgelehnt. Lana wurde einmal kurz von den Cocteau Twins unterbrochen, ansonsten gab es keine Pause. Ziemlich ignorantes und unhöfliches Verhalten. Man sollte nicht mit Live-Sport werben und ein Spiel auf sechs Bildschirmen zeigen, wenn man nicht die Absicht hat, es ordentlich zu präsentieren, selbst nachdem man darum gebeten hat. Ich würde nicht wiederkommen.

Für ein kühles Feierabendbier ist Molly Malone's immer eine top Adresse. Entspannte Atmosphäre, nette Leute und ein richtig cooler Pub mit Charme. Perfekt, um den Tag gemütlich ausklingen zu lassen – komme immer gerne wieder! 🍻

Sie finden bestimmt einen Parkplatz. Es ist ein bezaubernder Ort. Wir waren zufällig dort, als gerade Livemusik gespielt wurde, und haben eine tolle Vorstellung genossen.

Ein toller irischer Pub, in dem wir während der Rugby-Six-Nations gelandet sind. Hervorragendes Guinness und echte Tayto-Chips! Die Atmosphäre ist großartig, wenn Irland im Sport spielt!

Ein fantastischer Ort bei unserem Berlin-Besuch! Das Personal war großartig, Nate, Darragh und Kier waren erstklassig. Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt.

Freundliche Atmosphäre mit regelmäßiger Livemusik. Auswahl an irischen und lokalen Bieren. Für Berliner Verhältnisse günstig.

I just love the place. The live music was brillant and their Guinness is spot on. Also they've a selection of alcohol free drinks as well. The staff are lovely altogether - and they've Tayto salt & vinegar crisps! That's reason enough to pop in!

Molly's is not Molly's without the staff that make it great. Darragh is the most welcoming chap always lighting up the night when I come for a visit. and the quiz every Thursday is a bunch of fun to bring family and friends to!

This is a lovely pub and the staff are very friendly. I just happened to be there on a quiz night and happily joined in on the fun. If I get a chance to visit Berlin again I would definitely pop in here, well worth checking out!

I’m not one for going on holiday from Ireland and heading straight to an Irish bar but stumbled upon this little gem. Not your typical cheesy ‘Irish bar abroad’, it is full of real Irish charm and cracking atmosphere. Situated in a lovely part of Berlin with outdoor sitting so you can watch the world go by. If you’re craving Guinness and tayto on your city break, this place is the place to be! ☘️

Sorry, but your prices are way too high. We actually wanted to have a few beers with you, but not at those prices. €24 for four beers? We'd had enough after the first round. And a Berliner Luft (2 cl) actually costs €4.50. You can always overdo it. I certainly won't be coming back.

We were in Berlin for a band get together and wanted to find a bar with karaoke. Unfortunately, the bartenders informed us that they had no karaoke any more, they just hadn't updated the description on Google. But we asked and they were exceptionally kind, allowing us to perform live music and relive our musical pasts. Amazing servers, really made our evening!

Irish pub atmosphere 3 minutes from Berghain...totally improbable but excellent

Recientemente visité Molly Malone’s y encontré que el ambiente estaba bien, pero mi experiencia se vio significativamente socavada por la calidad de su Guinness. Como cualquier bebedor Guinness sabe, la temperatura y el vertido son elementos cruciales para servir esta icónica cerveza irlandesa. Desafortunadamente, me sirvieron una pinta caliente de Guinness, que es prácticamente imperdonable para un establecimiento que presumiblemente se enorgullece de la autenticidad irlandesa. Lo que hizo la experiencia aún más decepcionante fue que nuestro servidor tenía acento de la República de Irlanda. Uno esperaría que alguien de Irlanda comprendiera la importancia de servir una pinta de Guinness - fría, asentada y con la cabeza correcta. Qué gran bar es este. Estábamos alojados hacia la Eastside Gallery, a 10 minutos a pie y había investigado el área local, ya que había un partido de fútbol importante que queríamos ver el domingo - la final de la copa de la liga inglesa. Llegamos una hora antes del inicio y el bar era solo habitación de pie. Los dos tipos detrás de la barra eran tremendos y nunca se detuvieron. Con una pantalla grande y pantallas de televisión más pequeñas salpicadas, era fácil seguir la acción. Buena elección de bebidas y a un precio muy razonable. Quisiera agradecer al equipo de Molly Malones, y espero haberos convertido en fans del Newcastle United 😊 🏆🖤🤍🖤

Never had food so can't comment. Went in 2 days in a row, staff were very friendly, quick service despite being busy. Great pub to watch sport and have a couple of pints

We had hosted a private party at the pub. The team did a great job and the organization was great and very relaxed.

At first glance it doesn't look like a true Irish pub, but it's one. And they have a better Guinness than the usual export version.

Mi hermano gemelo y yo estábamos en un pub y bar dando vueltas por el maravilloso barrio Friedrichshain de Berlín cuando nos dejamos caer en Molly Malones Irish Pub, hemos estado aquí antes en vacaciones anteriores a esta fascinante ciudad, siempre lo pasamos bien y así lo demostró en nuestra última visita. Un pub de gran aspecto, el interior es magnífico, un llamativo bar de servicio domina la sala principal, decoración y mobiliario del pub y un montón de opciones de asientos repartidos por todo este pub tanto dentro como fuera con vistas a la concurrida y bulliciosa Torellstraße. Pedimos un guinness cada uno, estos se sirvieron en excelentes condiciones siendo helados fríos y espumosos, nos relajamos y empapamos de la gran vibra en este concurrido y popular pub mientras bebíamos nuestras cervezas. Guinness servido en este pub eran soberbios, espesos, cremosos, rebosantes de sabor y muy fáciles de beber especialmente cuando se sirve frío helado como en este pub, era tan bueno estar en un pub tan encantador disfrutando de una cerveza de calidad y se sentó con mi hermano gemelo, mejor compañero de cerveza del mundo. Ambos disfrutamos mucho de nuestra guinness aquí antes de seguir adelante y aunque nuestra visita fue solo fugaz como en cualquier otra visita a Molly Malones Irish Pub nos lo pasamos muy bien. What a gem of a pub. Great staff, very helpful on things to do in Berlin. The owner is Irish and has a voice that you would listen to all night. The second night we were there there was a full Irish session, class musicians, great atmosphere and the best staff we have experienced in Berlin. Almost forgot, the toasties are to die for!

We stumbled across this fab little irish bar ,wow !!absolutely had the best night there 😀 ,brilliant atmosphere very relaxed , the Guinness was perfect 👌 as were the toasties, staff were amazing , but the best part was the live music , would definitely recommend a visit ,a little piece of ireland in Berlin , we will definitely be back .🍀🍀🍀

After Theater Frankfurter Tor I was really thirsty for Guinness - and here you can get a freshly tapped one very quickly. Very good service - live music even on Mondays and into the night.

This bar is great! They reserved a TV and space for my large group of friends and helped us out in finding and setting up our NFL American Football game on the TV. The guys working were super helpful and friendly and I can't recommend this place enough. There's a good beer selection, tasty bar food and great service. If you are looking to watch some sports in Friedrichshain or just have a beer inside or outside with friends, Molly Malone's is an excellent choice. We will definitely return.

My girlfriend and I dropped by this bar by chance. There was outside seating and it seemed pretty chilled so we ordered some drinks. We weren’t expecting much but then a musician with a guitar started singing inside on a small stage and it was really cool. Inside is cute and cosy and the atmosphere was very nice. The barman told us it recently changed ownership. I’ll definitely be back and I can totally recommend it.

Mi novia y yo pasamos por este bar por casualidad. Había asientos afuera y parecía bastante frío, así que pedimos algunas bebidas. No esperábamos mucho, pero entonces un músico con una guitarra comenzó a cantar en un escenario pequeño y fue realmente genial. Por dentro es lindo y acogedor y el ambiente era muy agradable. El barman nos dijo que recientemente cambió de dueño. Sin duda volveré y puedo recomendarlo totalmente.

We've been there during St. Patrick's day celebration. It's was super packed, great attitude, the band felt to be more drunk than the visitors and wasn't the best Irish folk I heard but hey. It's a pretty small location actually, but there were also some outdoor tables
