TOP ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Italian restaurant without pizza – and that's a good thing! Because the dishes served there are so delicious that you don't need pizza. Every bite was an absolute delight, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was great. Spending our department's Christmas party there was a fantastic idea. 5* all the way. Modo Mio is our 'special' restaurant for special occasions. The tables are packed close and you need reservations, but the smiling waitstaff and Maurizio himself navigates the tables, guests, and orders with ease. The menu is and daily specials are, well, all special and unique in their own way. This is just a happy place where an amazing meal intersects culture and ambience. A truly amazing, special place worth every penny.

I ate at Modo Mio da Maurizio today. What can I say... I've rarely eaten better. I had spaghetti with beef fillet and truffle sauce. Aside from the food, the service is also a 5/5. Attentive, friendly, and on the ball. In short, I'll definitely be back.

Delicious food, great service, fair prices - Absolute recommendation

Even though we had made a reservation well in advance, we were seated at table legs. The kitchen was completely overwhelmed. We waited over an hour to order. We didn't wait another hour for the food. The lasagna was burnt. The value for money is not good.

The quality of the food has declined significantly. We always enjoyed our meal here, and for good quality, we're happy to pay a higher price. Unpleasant clientele.

I had high hopes since the rating was so high. However the taste and the ambiance were just average, compared with the prices they charge. I think it’s an overrated restaurant.

A wonderful ambience and the best quality.

I recently ate here with my family. We enjoyed everything. The atmosphere is pleasant and clean. The service is friendly, fast, and competent. The food isn't prepared very quickly, but it takes about 20 minutes, which is perfectly acceptable for the quality. The food tastes very good and is served excellently. In between meals, we get some homemade bread with olives and homemade gravy. The homemade lemonade is excellent! We'll be happy to come back.

The food is always delicious and freshly prepared. There's fresh fish or beef fillet with vegetables and pasta, but no pizza. Reservations are essential on weekends. A welcome drink and a digestif are included. Our favorite restaurant, and our little dog, are always welcome, too.

I hadn't heard of this restaurant before. It was just very close to my hotel. It turned out to be the perfect choice. The food was simply amazing. The wine recommendation was also excellent, and the service was always friendly, courteous, and quick. Conclusion: Perfect. BTW: They don't serve pizzas there, but an Italian restaurant is not always a pizzeria!!!

Unfortunately, we have to give you extremely negative feedback about our visit to your restaurant “Modo Moi” in Erlangen. We were your guests on the occasion of my wife's birthday, were looking forward to a lovely evening and were unfortunately very disappointed. First of all, we had to wait an unusually long time - almost an hour and a half - for our food. What was particularly disappointing was that my wife's meal, for whom we had planned that evening, was forgotten. This alone would have been unpleasant, but unfortunately the service was not at an acceptable level. An employee named Jessie was extremely disrespectful towards us and showed no ability to take criticism. Friendliness and professional treatment of guests should be a given, but that's exactly what was missing here. It's possible that the fact that we were foreigners was the reason why he wasn't very polite and didn't even bother to apologize. We would have liked better organization and, above all, respectful treatment of guests. Based on this experience, we unfortunately cannot recommend your restaurant. I thank you for being so arrogant that you see the mistake you made as the only possible one and refuse to apologize properly. Thank you for forgetting to be humble as you climb higher and higher and look down on your customers. And thank you for ruining my wife's birthday, even though we thought about it long beforehand. I hope you will be where you truly deserve.

We're finally getting around to writing a review for the wonderful New Year's Eve. It was our third year in a row and has become an incredibly beautiful ritual for us. In addition to the fantastic food, there was a very special surprise this time: a great live musician. The atmosphere was unforgettable - sometimes funny, sometimes touching. Enjoyment through and through and for all senses. At the beginning of the year we always look forward to the end of the next year full of delicious new creations, warmth from the whole team and many special moments. These are always valuable memories for us - thank you!

Great Italian restaurant with fine and Quality food. Price are a little bit more expensive in average above 50 € per person, depending on the amount of courses.

Italian warmth meets great food, it couldn't be better. We had 5 different pasta dishes and all were top notch. Added to this was the incredibly careful, (child-)friendly staff. Many thanks to the whole team for this great dinner. We will definitely come back and are already looking forward to our next visit.

Service was really good - really loved the lady who was attending to our table. Food - was too pricey and my pasta was a little salty for my taste, but perhaps the less salty lasagna compensated for the salty pasta 😅 Pumpkin soup was good 👍🏼 Tiramisu was a little different than the normal offering from other places. Since we had food restrictions, we gave a lot of requirements but the waitress who was attending to our table was super friendly and patient! Thank you for the amazing service!

Insanely delicious! I was invited to eat at Modo Mio and there was a set menu. First of all, I'm not usually a fan of menus, but there was really something for everyone here, from authentic, great service to antipasti platters, pasta with truffles, tuna + dessert, which was great across the board. As an Italian, THE best Italian restaurant in the region. Always looking for authentic Italian cuisine at a high level, there is always one name that is unsurpassed to date: Modo Mio. Maurizio is an absolute virtuoso, you could almost describe him as a culinary genius. Refreshingly modern interpretation of Italian classics, just in his own way, but without losing even the slightest bit of the authenticity of the origin. Only ingredients of the highest quality are used and despite the sometimes higher prices, you can expect an incredible level of performance and perfection in every plate. As an Italian, this is the only restaurant that I would unreservedly recommend to Italians, especially for pasta and meat dishes. Anyone who comes here will go home happy. Grazie Maurizio.

It was recommended to me by a colleague and I couldn't be happier, it definitely made my business trip to Erlangen better. The food is delicious, the quality of the products is top. Delicious meat, very fresh fish, super pasta, the preparation of any dish was perfect. Maurizio's dishes definitely have something to say... Honestly, I don't feel like comparing it to any restaurant in Italy, it's definitely a step forward, one of the best I've tried so far. I recommend booking well in advance as it can get full even during the week, and coming back at least twice to taste as much as possible. I will definitely return without any doubt. Space!

Erstmal wurden wir herzlich auf italienisch begrüßt, was mich sehr freut als gebürtige Italienerin. Ein schönen Tisch mit Sonnenschein wartete auf uns. Das Menu war toll, so viel Auswahl dass man sich nicht entscheiden konnte. Wir hatten 2x Tortelloni (nudeltaschen) mit Krebs und Kürbis Soße dazu. Einfach traumhaft! So gut italienisch habe ich hier in Deutschland noch nie! Danke Maurizio ❤️

Darf ein Genussmensch das nicht mit gleichgesinnten teilen und sich klar erklären und mitteilen?!?!?! Der Service und das Ambiente waren zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit :-) Das Essen war alles sehr frisch + sehr lecker ... hat uns alle begeistert.
