There can only be one! We love this restaurant!

We had made a reservation at another restaurant but were turned away because there were no seats available. We then stopped by here. Very good service, excellent food, and a pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended, and we'd be happy to return.

We've been regulars for years now. We haven't found better sushi anywhere. It's not your average sushi, but creatively and extravagantly presented. The quality is excellent and always fresh. Yet, for this quality, it's reasonably priced. The owner and staff greet and farewell each guest personally, and you always feel welcome! The dishes beyond sushi are also highly recommended! Simply a fantastic restaurant and always worth a visit.

Everything was absolutely perfect here. The sushi was beautifully presented and tasted excellent. On top of that, the service was fantastic. Friendly staff and a very friendly owner who greeted each guest individually and later personally bid them farewell. You simply felt at ease and well looked after. Our favorite sushi restaurant in Berlin so far. Yesterday at noon I made another big purchase. Our disappointment was huge. The salmon quality was mediocre, which has never been the case. Dim sum made hot in the microwave and was already noticeably dry (obviously from the day before). And our favorite, the salmon surimi, was significantly reduced in quantity and quality. Our next visit, which will take place in the hope of regaining culinary competence, will certainly be a while in coming. VERY Pity! 3 years later - luckily hope dies last! I've eaten here again occasionally and the negative experience hasn't happened again! Fortunately, I have never experienced such a fiasco again and I look forward to every visit to the restaurant!

We arrived unplanned on December 31, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. So shortly before the end of the working day and without announcement. It was very obvious that chance took us. We weren't the only ones who enjoyed our last dinner there thanks to the hard-working and very friendly hosts. (A lot of pickups) We are extremely big fans of sushi and very critical. But not only was there nothing to complain about, it was in the top 5. Others take pictures, we let words speak. This New Year's Eve we will rehearse another raid. Thank you to the team and we hope you had a lovely evening too.

The Mateo-Looi Sushi Restaurant near Theodor-Heuss-Platz. A restaurant with high-quality and lovingly prepared food. You should be very hungry as the dishes are very large. The staff is very, very friendly, quick and accommodating. It is better to book a table in advance as it is very busy. No matter whether it's a starter or a main course, everything is very tasty and prepared with love and you can see how it is prepared. The drinks are also very tasty. The prices are very affordable for the huge portions. You can pay in cash or by card. Definitely worth a visit. We will be happy to come back. Thank you for the lovely and delicious evening.

If you can afford the price, it's definitely worth it. The amount of fish on nigirs is generous and just very high quality/tasty. They also have delicious fried sushi with a really nice sauce and if you wait for take out they often give you free tea.

Ich war mit meiner Partnerin letzten Freitag dort Sushi essen und das Essen war super lecker. Das Parkplatzangebot an der Reichsstraße ist ebenfalls gut. Das Lokal war sehr sauber und gemütlich. 1 - 2 Wandbilder mehr würden einen noch mehr in den japanischen Flair eintauchen lassen. Meine Freundin hat eine Fischallergie und gab dies bei der Bestellung an, der Kellner nahm sich der Sache mehr als zufriedenstellend an und gab an wie die Küche in solch einem Fall das Essen zubereiten würde. Manche Restaurants nicken beim kundtun einer Fischallergie einfach ab ohne es wirklich verstanden/interessiert zu haben und am Ende des Besuchs hat meine Freundin trz. ihre Allergie (was manchmal nicht ausbleibt). Aber bei Mateoo-Loi hatten wir das Gefühl ernstgenommen zu werden und meine Partnerin hatte schlussendlich keine Allergie. Fazit: Die Bedienung war mehr als toll, das Essen war sehr lecker und das Ambiente schön. Ich würde und werde definitiv nochmal hingehen und es mir schmecken lassen.

Als ich den Artikel vor Ort abholte, erhielt ich einen anderen Artikel als den, den ich bestellt hatte. Leider erfuhr ich es erst, als ich nach Hause kam. Ich bestellte scharfes Thunfisch-Sushi und erhielt ein anderes Produkt mit gekochtem Thunfisch, obwohl ich deutlich betont hatte, welches Produkt ich wollte.
