An absolutely delicious meal in a lovely atmosphere.

Was very tasty and nice atmosphere. Gladly again.

Been there on September 3rd, 2024. Everything we ordered was absolutely amazing, especially the sauce for the spring rolls. I'm not a sushi eater myself, but I really enjoyed it here. The service staff are absolutely friendly and they are happy to give you a tip.

Food 10/10 and value for money is also right

Edit September 2024.: Today I had the beef bowl, very tasty and good portion. In terms of price, everything is still completely ok and the terrace right on Marheinike Platz is really great! Service was, as usual, super quick and friendly. If my friends don't get the raw fish, I'll let you know. Original review from 2023: I actually really like the shop but the last salad with grilled fish was extremely bad for me. Severe symptoms such as food poisoning the day after. I'm not the only one this has happened to here Please ensure perfect kitchen hygiene and I will be happy to come back!

Very nice lunch menu. The food was very tasty. I really enjoyed it and my friend also enjoyed her lunch. The only complaint I have is that the soup which was the appetizer was brought out about 4 minutes before the food which did not give enough time to actually eat this soup before the meal came. That is not such a big deal but it would be nice not to feel rushed eating the meal.

Sushi to take away was very tasty, but one packet of soy sauce was far too little. Otherwise very nice employees in the short encounter and the decor of the Mido restaurants is uniquely beautiful anyway.

We had an amazing dinner at Mido Xberg! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel right at home with their friendly and welcoming energy. The food was absolutely delicious. The highlight was the main course—beautifully presented and just as incredible in taste. I recommend :)

We really had a really tasty meal. It tasted so fresh that we immediately ordered the same subsi plate again. It's very nice to sit outside in summer and the staff is really friendly. We would love to eat here again!

Mrin's food was served incorrectly. I received peanut sauce instead of curry sauce. The blame was completely placed on me. No insight was shown. I then ordered the same dish again with curry and had to pay for both, even though the dish with the peanut sauce wasn't even touched.

Were implemented 3 times with children. Since we had to change tables so often, our food was forgotten and we only got it after 50 minutes when we asked. Doesn't work at all. There were also 2 dogs in the restaurant!!!

Mido in a very nice level were already in the video in Charlottenburg but here it is visually much nicer. The ambience is definitely mega, come eat here :).

The platter for 2 is interesting, the ingredients are very fresh. The sushi on the platter is not surprising, but it is well executed. Good note for the presentation. As for the service, rather uneven. The lady who served us was not very friendly and did not come back to see us during dinner, for example to offer us wine. On the other hand, the young men who also worked that evening were very nice.

Been a couple of times for sushi, it’s always been tasty. I’ve had some awful sushi in berlin but I know this place is a safe bet. The service is quite good, sometimes it can take a little while to pay even when it’s not very busy. Also, if you sit outside, prepare to be submerged in cigarette smoke, rather unfortunate.

Good food, more than questionable service. One person was served the wrong meal (which she did not order). Instead of taking the dish back, the waiter insisted on eating this dish anyway. After 45 minutes at the table and with the plates still half full, people wanted to clear the table without being asked. Never again.

My friend took me here for sushi because he kept saying how good they were. We got the salmon tartare and a sushi set. The fish was really fresh which I actually surprised. The price is quite affordable. The set is €38 with 2 miso soup. We were so full. We sit outside, the atmosphere is nice, the space is big and a lot of sitting. Will come back.

Good service and such delicious food

I have always loved this restaurant but I was extremely disappointed today. I was there with the family and we ordered the Mido Curry. We specifically asked whether there were any types of beans in the vegetables. We were told that they will specially make it without beans because we specifically said that the person is extremely allergic to it. But who would have thought, it was served with individual beans or the beans were simply taken out and put on the other plate! It is absolutely not okay to say that it is not served/cooked with beans even though you explicitly said you are allergic! You could have said we couldn't cook the sauce from scratch, then we would have simply ordered something else. I'm just shocked. That could have ended very badly, but fortunately my friend had to vomit straight away and there were no serious consequences.

Mixed up our orders, giving the wrong food to someone with allergies. Too bad because otherwise it's a really beautiful place.

Best sushi in Berlin and beyond

My expectations with this restaurant were very high but I was so disappointed. The place is really nice and there are so many spaces and tables inside or outside. We started with the drinks with no alcohol and unfortunately it was the worst drink I ever had, mine was basically warm syrup, even though the glass had ice, extremely sweet. Disgusting. My husband drank another drink without alcohol with lime and it was better, but not good. Food was ok, although the sushi came in a kind of step, is not easy to eat and if you are not familiar with the chopsticks it could be hard to eat. The dumplings were delicious, we ordered the one with shrimp. We sat outside because the day was delicious and warm, but if you are no smoker like me I recommend sitting inside, we left smoked by cigarettes. We had to ask for the check/bill 3 times because nobody could bring to us. Overall: Not a good experience.

After we asked if the sauce for my friend was gluten-free, the answer was a resounding yes. Now she feels really bad and throws up all the time. It can't come from anything other than the sauce. #neverthereagain #ripanmyfriend

Nice ambience. Was there on a Sunday and it was almost crowded. Food was very tasty and served lovingly. Looked like a little work of art. The portions for some dishes are very manageable (summer roll). 😉 Higher price range I would say. It's not a sushi snack bar!!! The waiters are very friendly and present. Would definitely go to Mido again and can highly recommend it

The women in the store are outrageously disrespectful! They didn't want to give my change back, they threw the food in front of my face with a cheap face. They're trying to rip everyone off! Trying to take tips by not telling you anything and not giving your money back! The food still tastes delicious but the service and pay from the women employees are terrible!!!!!

Had edamame and sushi. Very tasty, beautifully prepared and reasonably priced. The atmosphere in the restaurant is really nice and the toilets are very clean.

I spent overall 1 hour there to get what you see on the photo. There should be a dessert on the photo, but I couldn't wait any more (even though I've already ordered). I was pissed when the table next to me was served before me, even though they ordered much later. The food was delicious. The prices are ok. It's very beautiful inside. Card payment only from 10€. I guess it's always very slow, because the place is really big inside.

Nice atmosphere, good service. Very happy with the dishes, large portions, quality and fresh products. There were a lot of visitors, but no one was bothered. The waiters always served our table on time. The prices are reasonable, you can pay by card or cash. I also saw that three guests were celebrating their birthdays. There was a lovely cake and congratulations from the staff. I recommend it, I will definitely come again.

There were three of us there today and the last time too...1. there was a hair in my plate and when we called the waitress she didn't say anything more than the cooks in the kitchen have short hair!!! After all, the hair is Didn't fall from the sky...2. the tip was simply pocketed!!! They just finished asking and answered yes... The young gentleman didn't give any remaining money back and pocketed the money😡 There will not be a second visit and I will give the criticism to the press! Kind regards, Zaher

The restaurant offers an outstanding dining experience. The ambience outside is particularly beautiful and invites you to linger. The waitresses were super friendly and made you feel comfortable right from the start. A special highlight was the birthday special, which was on the house and made the day unforgettable. The sushi is not only incredibly tasty, but also beautifully prepared. A visit to Mido is definitely recommended.

Tasty food better than most "Asian restaurants"

We always enjoyed going to Mido. Staff is friendly and the location is really nice. However, in our opinion, portion sizes have become significantly smaller in recent months, while prices continue to rise. There are enough alternatives at the price level (e.g. 17 euros for a little salmon with rice and teriyaki sauce). We especially can't understand the tiny portion of rice.

The food was very nice i only ate Sushi and Salad but both of them were great. The Avocado is fresh and soft very tasty and the salmon is very good also very tasty. Sitting outside was really nice on evening only problem was the playground next to us because there where people who made a lot of noises but it’s not that bad. Service was talking a lot but not on a annoying way he was very friendly and welcoming. The Food was fast done but at the same time really good.

Mido consistently serves some of tastiest Asian dishes I’ve tried in my entire life (out of the Asian restaurants in Europe*). The service is great primarily due to how fast the waiters are, when it comes to taking order, bringing out food and the bill. This really makes you feel like the service is more ‘personal’, and more effort is being put then in other restaurants in Berlin. The menu is quite vast, and with a modern touch to the traditional Japanese cuisine. Overall - highly recommended.

Super chic atmosphere, you'll be happy to stay here for hours. The service is a little sloppy, but still acceptable and they are very friendly. I like the food very much, great sushi, great curry. Drink prices are a bit high. Come back.

Very beautiful Restaurant and friendly staff. The food is delicious and my Chihuahua was offered water what he really appreciated. The painting on the wall was really beautiful and this fireplace effect was really cool. Definitely recommend.

Expensive yes, but by far the coolest restaurant I have been in. The interior designer really poured some love into it. The food was amazing and the experience is super cool.

We ate there on March 30, 24. Had reserved a table. It took about 20 minutes for the waiter to take the order. We simply waited over an hour for the food. We wanted to leave, but were stopped by a waiter who asked us to stay as it was very crowded due to breaking the fast. I completely understand this, but when ordering we could be told that it will take longer. So we could still decide whether we should stay or not. But keeping us waiting for over an hour is not an option. I'm disappointed and won't be coming back.

Today, Good Friday, 5:33 p.m. the restaurant is half full and we are directed to a table for two. The tables are so small that what we wanted to order is not enough for this table. We are regular customers and will leave our money elsewhere from now on. I hope the boss reads this and talks to the rude lady who yelled at us in front of all the guests because we wanted to sit at a table of 4. There was NO reservation card on many of the tables, so we agreed to three tables and were not taken into account. It's a shame that because you eat for an hour you have to say 100 people will come. Awkward

The food is fine, though the sushi is a bit smothered in sauce. That's a pitty because you can barely taste the fish under all the sweet sauce. The service is questionable. We ordered cocktails and asked for glasses of tap water with it and were told that tap water is 3 euro per glass. The cocktails were extremely sweet. We asked for some lime, never got any.

Good: The interior design and the sushi. The waiters are nice. Ok: The sauces for the rice dishes are too liquid. The rice dishes were ok but definitely not worth the price. WHAT WON'T WORK AT ALL: Portion size for rice. Not even a child can get enough of it. In the end you end up with €20-30 for an average meal, which isn't worth it.

Everything looks great, but what is still the most important thing of all is hygiene. The employees go to the toilet with their aprons on and the whole Orient gets splashed on the toilet. You should take them off before using the toilets. Hair came out in my food??. As for the sushi, the rice was hard and didn't taste particularly appetizing, especially after finding the hair.

The fried udon noodles with tofu/duck were really delicious. The fried veg big rolls were also very tasty. Good atmosphere in the restaurant, hip-hop music was unexpected but fit well.

A chic Japanese restaurant in Kreuzberg. Super delicious food. Both sushi and the other dishes from the udon group. The drinks are also very delicious. I have a little hint for the Mido. Also offers guests sweetener apart from sugar. Barrier-free restaurant. Only the toilets can be reached via stairs in the basement. The service staff is very friendly. If you don't like loud music with your meal in the evening, you should visit Mido in the afternoon.

We were at Mido and reserved a table. After waiting 10 minutes we were taken to the resteraunt next to it, which also belongs to Mido. There we got a table placed right in the walkway. We ordered food and after 20 minutes the wrong food came for the first time. My girlfriend is pregnant and has. Ordered vegan/vegetarian breaded sushi and got suhi with fish. After we gave it back, our starters didn't come and my food was also wrong, so we had to give it back too. After we got the food again after 20 minutes, we paid for the main course. We didn't get our starters despite asking several times. When paying he just said I told the chef but he didn't do it. There was no deduction from the bill. I am extremely dissatisfied.

I like to come by for lunch. There's a good selection of lunch menus here, including soup. The food tastes great and looks great. The price is very fair and it fills you up. I get friendly service and card payment is possible from €10. Gladly again ;)

The food is really good, the prices are acceptable. The service staff is really okay, but with the chaos caused by the management when it comes to reservations, they are on the verge of being overwhelmed. Waiting for well over an hour despite a reservation and allowing brazen pushers is simply out of style. In addition, the noise level is so high that normal conversation is not possible.

Reservation confirmed and still had to wait forever because it was completely overcrowded and there was no overview of what was happening in the store. You just get a stupid smile and are told to keep waiting. Never experienced anything like that.

Let’s start with the 3€ tap water that we surprisingly got charged at the end when we asked for the bill.The order was wrong and when we asked for the right one since my friend has a gluten allergy, the waiter was very rude and condescending with her. Overall experience mediocre to say the least.
