Misaki in Aachen

We've been visiting the restaurant regularly for several years, and I've always been very satisfied! In fact, I don't think there's anywhere where the salmon tastes as delicious (and is used generously!) as it does here. Every person I've dragged to Misaki has confirmed this 😁 We've tried pretty much everything by now – from sushi (vegetarian options are also worthwhile, by the way), appetizers, pho, bowls, and Vietnamese noodle dishes, etc. – and we've always left full and happy. I highly recommend the homemade drinks. It's always fun to try something different 😊. For me, it's simply a place we go to when we want to be sure it's going to be delicious. The quality is consistently top-notch, and the prices are reasonable – sure, there have been adjustments here in recent years, but they're definitely within reasonable limits. Yes - the wait time during peak times sometimes depends on capacity and staffing levels - but since it's a small family business and, in my opinion, their communication is fair and friendly, I don't have a problem with that. Otherwise, maybe stop by during the week or at a less "traditional" time :) It's a shame that so many people confuse the shop with TikToker "Mikasa's." I've noticed this several times while I was there, and it's a real shame that negative reviews end up in the wrong place because of this - they definitely don't belong here. P.S.: I recommend the Rengoku roll if you want to treat yourself to something really good 🥹 It's my number one comfort food 😄🫶

I'll definitely be back!” We also got our sushi relatively quickly. The wait was less than 5 minutes. Even when we asked if Mikasa was there, the service responded friendly, even though it was busy.

I found the restaurant very loud. The waitresses seemed very listless and annoyed. The food was okay, but not outstanding.

The owner farted on the sushi in front of me and then she yelled at us when we pointed it out to her.

I recommend this great restaurant to anyone who loves Asian cuisine! The prices are fair for the amount of food you get, and all the staff were very friendly. Don't believe everything people say about it online and make fun of it.

Hope this help offset the bad reviews. Came here from tiktok thinking it was the restaurant there as well... the creator name is Mikasa but that is not the name of her restaurant its Tokyo Sushi and Fusion kitchen. Sorry I can't imagine how frustrating this is.

Incredibly delicious vegan sushi! I had a varied platter, even with a breaded roll and vegan sriracha mayo. Despite it being a weekend, the service was excellent and friendly, and the food was fresh and served quickly. I highly recommend the banh ran to finish. The mochi also looked delicious. I made a quick trip to Aachen, and I'd gladly come back for my new favorite sushi place. I'd love to eat here every day. Thank you!

I was in Germany and heard good stuff about this sushi place came to try and wasn’t able to satisfy me and not good service at all and you should probably try to make someone next experience better then to just reply to they’re review and say oh we’re not on TikTok that’s not even what any of the bad reviews say and that just shows how bad the service in this bad restaurant is

I ate at Misaki for the first time last week. The service was really very good! They accommodated my special requests without making me feel like I was a nuisance. The food was also very fresh and overall delicious – although not spicy enough for my taste. I've had much more aromatic and spicy food at other Asian restaurants, which I personally prefer. Nevertheless, the overall quality of the food was good. The ambiance in the front area of ​​the restaurant is really appealing. In the back area, toward the counter and side tables, it's very messy and chaotic, which (I'm sorry) doesn't give me a hygienic impression. But I can only speak for myself and my perception. Others may not feel the same way. Overall, however, this is either nitpicking at a high level or I'm being too sensitive. The restaurant was very busy at the time of my visit. The prices are fair and not overly expensive.

We chose the restaurant based on its 4.6/5 stars, but unfortunately, it didn't meet our expectations at all. The vegetarian dishes were OK, but the salmon was inedible for us. When we asked about it, the response was very flippant: "We shouldn't be so fussy." We've never experienced anything like that before. Anyone can have a bad day, but treating guests like that is completely unacceptable. Definitely not a recommendation; more of a warning about the restaurant.

Eine ziemlich heruntergekommene Fassade, die Eingangstür ist nur mit roher Gewalt zu öffnen und gibt den Blick auf eine seit Jahren nicht mehr gereinigte Zarge frei. Der Raum ist sehr dunkel, die Aquarien auf der Theke von aussen schmierig, insgesamt kein guter Eindruck für die Sauberkeit in einem Speiselokal. Das Essen ( Mittagstisch) war soweit ok, aber auch nicht mehr. Die freundliche Bedienung war leider der einzige Pluspunkt. Eigentlich schade, mit wenig Aufwand könnte man hier was nettes schaffen.

We drove from Cologne to Aachen specifically to eat sushi. Compared to where my friends and I go for all-you-can-eat sushi, there is a lot more choice than at Mikasa, but it's not exactly a negative because it still tasted very tasty. The employee Latifa was even better than the food. I specifically asked for her name because, despite the store being full, she showed us a lot of understanding when we asked her the same question 5-6 times.

I made a reservation for 2 people at 3 p.m., told them on the phone that it was my sister's birthday, when I arrived I let them know again everything was fine, she gets 50 percent, we sat down, after 15 minutes the waitress came and said that it only works for 3 people, got up again, you should train your staff better, that's not possible, you could have made an exception as a gesture of goodwill for the waste of time and incorrect information!!

Update December 2022: card payments have even been possible for a few months now 😏😊 Update January 2025: Misaki is still one of my favorite restaurants and always worth a visit. Today I had Tuna Sashimi and Wakame Salad as a starter and a Bun Xa Ot for the main course. This is one of the Vietnamese national dishes. Lukewarm rice noodles with fresh salad and fresh herbs, a super delicious sauce and chopped peanuts as a topping. Always an absolute dream. You can get it with either chicken strips, beef strips or shrimp. The homemade sesame balls are unique and with a mung bean filling they are the tastiest I have ever had.

Was there 2-3 days ago, the first and last time, I don't know where you learned to make sushi but that has nothing to do with what's on your table. Sorry but I would recommend you open a kebab shop or something like that. 1. way too expensive 2. no fresh things, you could even see that the salad had been in the fridge for 1-2 days. 3. If you want to go there, you should do so at your own risk.

Yesterday we drove 2 hours to Aachen to eat there because I also like to follow Mikasa on Insta and Tiktok. All I can say about the food is that everything was very tasty, everything was fresh. Some of the orders came really late, some dishes were forgotten or brought incorrectly. I'm talking about 3-4 dishes, there were 4 of us and we had all ordered all you can eat. And maybe you should also include sows in the order list. You had to order these separately because they were not listed on the tablet. It's not meant to be hate, just an indication of what you should still work on.🤗 So overall I give it an 8 out of 10.

Unfortunately a disappointing experience. We were here last week and were actually looking forward to a nice sushi dinner. But as soon as we entered, we noticed the unfriendly service - there was hardly a smile or a friendly word, and we felt more unwanted than welcome. Unfortunately, the food itself only reinforced the bad impression. The sushi rolls were carelessly prepared and hardly looked appetizing. The taste was equally unconvincing - the fish didn't seem fresh and the rice was dry and crumbly. For the prices charged here, we definitely expected something better. Overall, an experience that we won't repeat anytime soon. Unfortunately, the service and quality here are not at all good.

The meat was grilled to perfection and the combination of the different ingredients was simply heavenly. Conclusion: Misaki offers a successful combination of Vietnamese and Japanese cuisine. The dishes are fresh, authentic and taste excellent. The service is friendly and attentive. We can highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back.
