Milchbar im Funkhaus in Berlin

Ein totaler Reinfall. Nichts bekommen, nur Kartenzahlung möglich. Ansonsten alles sehr ungepflegt. Sitzen auf alten Biertischbänken. Man hatte den Eindruck, man stört das Personal und möchte nichts verkaufen. So tolle Lage, wird aber leider nicht ordentlich bewirtschaftet. Nicht zu glauben, aber wahr.

Sehr leckeres Essen in entspannter Atmosphäre.

Ich habe dort immer schöne Momente erlebt, wir haben immer den gleichen Salat bestellt und er war immer lecker. Ich liebe diesen Ort. Die Atmosphäre. Der Kaffee ist stark.

Das Essen ist ganz gut. Der Service ist aber absolut unterirdisch. Die Mitarbeiterin an der Kasse ist sichtlich überfordert.

Sehr netter Besitzer und Personal. Essen wurde schnell zubereitet und war wirklich sehr lecker! Toll ist auch die Lage an der Spree!

Eine wirklich schöne Location in toller Lage direkt am Wasser. Ich war im Winter für ein Shooting vor Ort – das Restaurant selbst hatte leider geschlossen, aber die Umgebung ist einfach wunderschön und bietet gerade für Fotos eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre. Die ruhige Stimmung, das Wasser und die Natur machen den Ort zu etwas Besonderem – egal zu welcher Jahreszeit. Ich komme auf jeden Fall nochmal wieder, wenn geöffnet ist 🤍

Die ganze Einrichtung ist äußerst primitiv und nach dem Verlassen der Lokation hat man das Bedürfnis sich umziehen zu müssen. Die Preise sind im mittleren Bereich, leider ist aber das Essen durchwachsen. Unser Lachsfilet sah gut aus, war aber innen noch roh und praktisch nicht essbar. Ich denke nicht, dass wir dort nochmal hingehen.

Extrem lange Wartezeiten mangels Personal. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich, aber vollkommen überlastet, der Service ist katastrophal. Wartezeiten bis zu einer Stunde. Fehlendes Besteck mangels Personal. Sitzgelegenheiten draußen teilweise sehr ungepflegt. Das Essen ist klasse, aber ich habe wirklich keine Lust mehr jedesmal stundenlang zu warten. Schade um die eigentlich schöne Location. Das könnte man viel besser umsetzen. Übrigens auch viel mehr Umsatz machen....

Eine kleine, aber sorgfältig zusammengestellte Speisekarte wechselt täglich. Italienische und deutsche Gerichte. Freitags Fisch. Günstige Preise. Das Restaurant befindet sich im historischen Funkhaus, einem ehemaligen DDR-Sendezentrum, und bietet eine ruhige Atmosphäre.

A really cool location. We celebrated a milestone birthday there with friends. Very pleasant. The appetizers (bruschetta, tomatoes, eggplant), pizza, and tiramisu were delicious. We'd gladly come again.

The venison ragout was excellent. We were also delighted by the original interior design of the milk bar and its waterfront location.

A lovely spot along the Spree River where you can grab a beer or some pizza and relax by the water while taking in the scenic views.

Prices keep rising and food is getting worse… will be paying 10€ for a bowl of soup very soon at this rate…

Subterranean! No official payment methods (cash) accepted. No German-speaking staff. Prices completely exorbitant. Great location with a rich history.

Unfortunately, card payments are now only accepted, and the cake price has been increased by €1 to €5 per slice. The sponge cake isn't worth it. The wait for the food is long.

We had to wait almost an hour for a salad and a currywurst. The potato salad with the currywurst was practically unseasoned, not at all tasty, the sausage wasn't cooked properly, and the goat cheese with the salad wasn't cooked or seasoned—all in all, disappointing. The sanitary facilities were a disaster.

Unfortunately, it's getting worse every time. First, the coffee gets weaker and less flavorful, while the price goes up. Then, it's often impossible to simply order in German, and to top it all off, they now only accept card payments. It's a shame, really. Service is getting worse even though it's not the staff's fault, and I feel left out. It's a shame.

Food is a bit tasteless and highly overpriced. The staff is often rude.

We actually wanted to eat schnitzel. Unfortunately, they were already sold out. So we first had pizza from Zola and then got coffee and cake at the Milchbar. We paid €18 for two drinks and two cakes. The atmosphere outside by the water is simply unbeatable. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't crowded. We'd love to come back.

I was looking forward to the milk bar, as I'd been there years ago. Unfortunately, we had to wait for the employees to give me a big hug before I was noticed. I bought a slice of cheesecake and discovered it had a dead fly on it and wasn't fresh anymore. I went straight back and was offered a new slice. However, I lost my appetite. I didn't get my money back. I won't go there again.

Actually a sweeter shop, but an extra €0.50 for oat milk in 2025 is unacceptable.

Would be great if Wi-Fi was more stable

The Milchbar is a beautifully located lunch restaurant and café, whose interior has been adapted to reflect the original interior, as it probably was 40 or 50 years ago. The food is delicious and visibly freshly prepared. You can watch the chefs cooking through a large display. The clientele tends to be young, recruited in part by the artists working on Nalepastraße. Unfortunately, the establishment has adopted some of the negative characteristics found in hipster shops in Mitte or Friedrichshain. It's self-service, so you not only have to order and pay at the counter, but you're also expected to clear away your dishes yourself—but only on one of the tables, where they quickly pile up. The slightly overwhelmed waitresses can barely concentrate on making the next coffee, not on clearing them away. You can pay by card, but they'll just hand you your payment phone and walk away, leaving you to figure out how to hold your card there. When you mention that they're out of cutlery, you get the flippant reply that you should get some from the restaurant next door. After you express your surprise, the waiter rolls his eyes vigorously and, insulted, walks over to refill the cutlery himself, giving you a nasty sideways glance. As a guest, you don't exactly feel welcome.

Unfortunately, a disappointing visit – not recommended We were there recently and were very disappointed. The service, especially the short-haired woman, was extremely unfriendly. It made you feel like you were more of a nuisance than welcome. Friendliness or even a neutral tone – unfortunately, none of it. We had to wait over 30 minutes for two simple currywursts. When the iced coffee finally arrived, that was also a disappointment: a huge block of ice, bigger than the cup itself – neither appealing nor enjoyable. Overall, we felt neither valued nor well served. It's a shame, because a little friendliness and attention would have made the visit much more pleasant. 31.5.25

Excellent daily menu! Not only what we ate, but all the dishes looked excellent. Of course, coffee and cake were a must, haha.

We were there yesterday, the spaghetti carbonara was a disaster, hard, raw, sticky, the ready-made sauce...I haven't eaten something so bad for such a high price in a long time! Steak was like a shoe sole too! Never again!

It would be such a lovely place IF staff would know how to behave kindly and not rude , plus when they had vegan offerings. Last time I asked for vegan food, they offered me coffee with oat milk lol u gotta be kidding me ... Its 2025 love, wake up ^^

Stylish in the style of bygone times, very authentic. Food was good (sandwich) service could be more customer oriented! You should definitely check out the ambience.

We had breakfast there with two sandwiches, a cappuccino and a piece of cake for dessert. Unfortunately the cake was very dry and we didn't like it. But other things were simple and good. Would love to go back except for cake.

We'd love to come back. Everyone was very friendly, the food was delicious, and even in rainy weather, you can enjoy a lovely view of the water from inside. We were the first guests that day, but I still want to note that the schnitzel was ready in record time. It took no longer than 8-10 minutes. Bravo to the kitchen.

One of the worst hospitality experiences of my life. The “owner” was drunk and abusing customers verbally with physical threats while proclaiming how powerful he was for owning this place. It was my friends birthday she received a bottle of of wine as a gift and in excitement opened it on the spot (we were also paying customers) the owner saw this and absolutely lost it on her. Yelling in her face to the point we had to call the police to come deescalate the situation. It was so uncomfortable and awkward for everyone there.

The food order was forgotten and the request was rather annoyed. While we were waiting, the price of my couscous salt was reduced by €3 on the board with the daily menu. Unfortunately, when I asked, the lady behind the counter couldn't give me any information. The couscous salad tasted delicious, the zucchini noodles were hardly seasoned. The location is very nice, you sit right by the water.

heute wurde für mich bei der Milchbar von dem Geschäftsführer Mo Hasan die Polizei gerufen und hausverbot erteilt weil ich meine meinung geäußert habe wie sie mich und andere Gästen behandeln. Als ob das nicht reicht wurde ich ohne Beweise oder Aufnahmen mit Diebstahl beschuldigt. Die Geschäftsleitung hatte anscheinend den mitarbeitern befohlen mich zu fotografieren weil ständig jemand Bilder von mir machte. Also bitte aufpassen wenn sie da essen oder trinken äußert eure Meinung nicht sonst ruft mann wieder die Polizei und wirft euch was vor. Und danke nochmal an die zwei Beamten die mit einer Hand an der Pistole festgehalten haben und nicht mal auf die Idee gekommen sind die von mir gemachten Bilder löschen zu lassen und mit mir redeteten als wäre ich ein Schwerverbrecher 👍

Very friendly service, food was a tony but slow to arrive but it was worth the wait. I had a salad with goat cheese and not only was the portion really satisfying but it was also very delicious! Iced coffee was also good. And of course the location is really hard to beat.

Beautiful restaurant on the river furnished in Berlin style.. the cuisine is truly special.. with honest prices.. I had a Peruvian style chicken with vegetables.. very tasty! Compliments to the chef Carlos! The kitchen is also beautiful with a window overlooking the restaurant to personally see the chefs in action

Pizza super, Bier in Flasche 0.33l für 3,50 Eur finde ich sehr überteuert. Alles in englisch ausgewiesen. Finde ich nicht passent.

Amazing food with cozy retro ambience. We ordered pasta aglio olio and schnitzel. Both items were delicious. I always love coming to this place during snow time, the cozy atmosphere inside provides a dreamy look of the snow outside.

Very nice location right on the water. The service and the food ordering process is so weird, planned to the point of cheeky/condescending, that it's almost funny. Coffee is also prepared at the checkout where you order your food. If one person does that, the rest of the queue simply waits for 10 minutes until lukewarm, poorly foamed cappo is served. We waited an hour for the 3 pizzas. They were quite tasty, but not what we ordered. We also noticed from the other guests that paid orders were lost or forgotten. Some employees seem overwhelmed and overworked, while others are more bored. When asked about the long waiting times and wrong food, they became snippy and cheeky. The affected metropolitan English conversation between the German employees and us German guests (confusion and misunderstanding excluded) was the most amusing part of the evening. If you like the location and don't believe it yourself, you're welcome to go and see for yourself. Next time I'll take my own food and drinks and sit outside by the water.

Unmöglich die kurz haarige Frau in der Milchbar.Die Gäste die vor uns bestellt hatten, wurde nicht mal begrüßt, geschweige denn verabschiedet und dann bei ihrer Bestellung auch noch angepamt… als Ausrede kam ein lautes aggressives „i am tired“. Fragte trotzdem ganz höflich ob ich noch zwei Kaffee haben könnte. Dieses wurde verneint mit einem genervten Blick. Sonntag 16:35 Denke hier sollte mal aussortiert werden oder einfach mal weniger feiern in der Nacht zuvor.

Zuerst dachten wir, die Preise seien ein bisschen hoch. Aber das ist es wert! Es ist lecker und die Portionen sind riesengroß! Schönes Design im Inneren mit DDR-Atmosphäre.

I never write bad reviews, i don't like the idea of reviews, but the waitress at this place was so rude and had a arrogant attitude. She takes the offer without eye contact nor friendliness nor making the customer feel welcome. She forgot my order. I asked after over half an hour and got the risotto then not 'al dente', but really too raw. (btw it was a plate of only risotto with mushrooms, no side salad).

Nostalgie und lockere Atmosphäre pur. Ein lockerer Treffpunkt an der Spree umrahmt vom Historischen Gebäude Ensemble des ehemaligen Funkhaus Berlin(Ost). Schade das die Konzertsaal nur sporadisch geöffnet werden. Die "Milchbar" im DDR Flair hat seinen eigenen Charme. Lockere Selbstbedienung,leckere Pizzen und kleine Angebote zB.Wiener Kalbsschnitzel mit ErdapfelGurkerl Salat...mmmh! Unkompliziertes Sitzen im Freien am Wasser .Der Zugang ist etwas versteckt hinter der Shell Tankstelle.Es lohnt sich!!!

Uriger DDR-Charme. Freundliches Team. Immer Sommer auch mit Wasserblick. Von Fähre nicht weitentfernt. Für Fahrradtouren sehr schöner Stop. Nebenan der Hafen von Riedel. Interessante Bauten vom Stil.

War Mal besser gewesen und zu viel Schickimicki dort unterwegs. Trotzdem schön dort an der Spree zu sitzen und ein leider zu teures Bier für 3,70€ pro 0,33l Flasche trinken.

Tolle Location! Schöner Garten vor diesem historischen Gebäude und Innenbereich im DDR-Stil. Pasta zu 9.50 Euro war gut.

Was für eine fantastische Location! Direkt am Wasser, in der Sonne und total entspannt! Die Frau im Service ist äußerst cool und trotzdem professionell ! War zum Lunch da! Die Pasta und der Wein waren sehr lecker! Für mich ein neuer Lieblingsort!

Not a lot of choice on the menu but at least there are a few vegetarian options which is great. Service was fast and the staff friendly. I ordered a plate of pasta and broccoli and I liked it a lot. A bit expensive though.

Currywurst mit einem schönen Blick auf die Spree, war nett hier.

Auf dem Gelände am denkmalgeschützem Funkhaus in der Nalepastraße herrscht ein reges Treiben. Die Atmosphäre hier, an dem gestrigen goldenen Herbsttag, war total schön. Man kann fantastisch draußen sitzen und den vorbeischippernden Boote auf der Spree zuschauen. Die leckere Pizza von Zola und der gute Kaffe mit köstlichem Kuchen aus der Milchbar waren ein Genuss! Das Interieur des Cafés Milchbar ist noch aus den 50ern und man kann sich richtig gut vorstellen wie 1956 bis 1990 der DDR Rundfunk hier seinen Sitz hatte.

Sehr coole location direkt am Wasser. Die Pizzen die es hier gibt sind unfassbar gut. Die Stimmung im Sommer ist einfach Berlin😊.

Im Juli besucht, Lage toll weil direkt am Wasser, Personal am Tresen sehr gechillt 17 Minuten Wartezeit für die Bestellaufgabe ist eindeutig zulang, zumal nur 2 Gäste vor uns da waren. Dafür war der Salat Spitzenklasse! Zugang leider nur über die Hauptstraße möglich und man muss schon wissen, dass da was ist. Schönes Gelände, was viele Möglichkeiten offen lässt.

Super Atmosphäre ... tolle Stimmung und sooooo lecker Pizza ... Immer wieder!

Der Ort ist ein Traum, leider ist der Service im Allgemeinen etwas lahm und manchmal auch unorganisiert. Ab und zu rennt "Der Chef" über den Platz und ruft dass man verdammt noch mal den Müll wegräumen soll, obwohl man sich gerade erst hinsetzt hat. Das macht nicht so einen richtig guten Eindruck. Die Öffnungszeiten sind auch undurchsichtig, wir waren schon oft dort, mal war auf, mal nicht. Bei Nachfragen wurde dann gesagt, dass man abwechselnd mit Zola öffnet. Die hatten dann aber auch nicht auf. Sagen wir mal so: Die Location ist spitze, die kulinarische Versorgung hat Luft nach oben.

Lage ist toll. Das Ding hat vielen die heftige Coronazeit leichter gemacht. Beim Service kleinere merkwürdige Kommunikationsproblemchen, aber hat irgendwie geklappt.

Die Milchbar an sich ist der Knaller. Die Lage und das Angebot sind top. Ein 'älterer' Herr (vllt) der Betreiber ist sehr charmant, angenehm und lustig. Die eine Angestellte (dunkle Haare) allerdings ist der Horror. Sie ist unglaublich unhöflich und von Serviceorientierung hat sie scheinbar auch noch nichts gehört. Statt zu bedienen, hängt sie am Telefon. Fragt man nach einigen Minuten höflich, ob man was bestellen dürfte werden die Augen verdreht und Lippen zusammengekniffen vor lauter Unlust auf den eigenen Job. Die Milchkanne zum aufschäumen wurde nicht einmal von ihr ausgespült, obwohl ihr Blick verriet, dass es nötig gewesen wäre. Und nein, das war kein einmaliges Erlebnis mit dieser Frau. Und es waren auch keine anderen Gäste anwesend. Und ja, sie hat mich gesehen und wartend stehen sehen. Ich bin regelmäßig vor Ort aber mir vergeht die Lust, wenn ich sehe, dass sie 'arbeiten' ist. Schade. Hoffentlich wird sie endlich gegen jemanden ausgetauscht, der besser zur Milchbar passt.

Tolle Location um am Nachmittag in der Sonne am Wasser etwas zu trinken oder eine Kleinigkeit zu essen. Es ist überhaupt nicht voll und ein schöner Ausflug mit dem Fahrrad. Für mich immer wieder schön dort hin zu fahren...

Die Location ist immer noch ein kleiner Geheimtip. Man sitzt vor der Milchbar wunderschön an der Spree. Die Versorgung ist auch zu nicht Corona Zeiten sehr lahm und erscheint unorganisiert. Teilweise wird kein Deutsch verstanden, es gibt lange Wartezeiten, Namen werden über den Platz gerufen. Das könnte viel effektiver und vor allem schneller gehen. Dazu kommen nicht nachvollziehbare Schliesszeiten selbst an schönen Sommertagen auch vor Corona z.B. 2019, wo dann abwechselnd die Milchbar oder Zola geöffnet ist. Ab 17 Uhr gabs dann auf einmal gar nichts mehr und der Betreiber der Milchbar gab uns dann relativ ruppig zu verstehen, dass es sich ja nicht lohne. Überhaupt erscheint der Mann als relativ unfreundlich, rennt da herum wie ein Mitarbeiter vom Ordnungsamt und sobald man sein Essen zum Tisch trägt, schreit er schon, man solle gefälligst, die Servietten in den Müll tun. Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig.

Ein Geheimtipp, da wirklich sehr leckerer italienisches Essen in uriger Atmosphäre angeboten wird.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Hochpreisig, aber Qualität des Essens passt. Keine Bedienung am Platz. Innen gemütlich. Direkt am Haus kann man draußen sitzen. Zusätzlich Biertischgarnitur auf der Wiese direkt an der Spree. Durch die Bäume auch Schattenplätze.

Die Öffnungszeiten scheinen zu variieren. Es ist schon ein paar Mal vorgekommen, dass um 10:00 noch keiner da war. Die Mittagskarte ist um 12:00, manchmal um 12:30 noch nicht auf dem Aushängeschild. Hier heißt es, sich in Geduld üben bzw. Morgenkaffee/Mittagspause entsprechend spontan umplanen. Das Essen schmeckt! Die Portionen fallen mal kleiner, mal größer aus, je nach Gericht. Der Kaffee ist manchmal gut, manchmal nicht trinkbar. Einige Male war die Milch so heiß, dass vom Cappuccino bzw. Latte Macchiato kein Schaum übrig war und zwei Pappbecher zum Halten nicht gereicht haben, um sich die Finger nicht zu verbrennen. Auch hier kommt es stark auf die Tagesform an. Die Bedienung ist manchmal leicht desinteressiert, aber an den meisten Tagen recht freundlich und bemüht, auf Fragen und Wünsche einzugehen. Wirklich lange Wartezeiten, bis auf eine Ausnahme beim Mittagessen, hatte ich hier jedenfalls noch nicht. —- Nachtrag 24.02.19 Die Öffnungszeiten wurden angepasst.
