Ohne Reservierung sind wir an einem Freitagabend spontan ins Mikado Sushi & More, da wir im Motel One am Mediapark Köln übernachtet haben. Zum Glück haben wir noch einen Tisch bekommen. Sofort waren wir von der stylischen Einrichtung begeistert. Wir hatten Nigri, Maki, Inside-Out-Rolls, Yakitori- und Gambas-Spieße. Alles war sehr lecker. Es war ein schöner Abend.

We waited a little over 10 minutes to be brought to the table and another 20 minutes to get our tray to order. There weren't enough chairs at the table, so one person had to stand next to the table for 10 minutes until a chair was free. Unfortunately it is quite narrow between the individual tables, but the food was great as always. All in all, my worst visit so far.

Despite reservations, entry was delayed because many guests wanted to be seated at the same time that evening. We were then able to choose the table for two ourselves. Service took a while because there was just a lot going on. Ordering was easy, but here too we waited a long time for the food and drinks we ordered. Everything was very tasty and the selection was very good. Overall, we enjoyed it and had a lovely evening.

Everything else is really great and as I said, most of the waiters are super friendly.

The service was inattentive. Apparently you could only pay with cash that day. In addition, the prices on the menu were incorrect. When we ordered we were told that the all you can eat was more expensive than on the menu. We then left the restaurant. Overall, a miserable impression.

I sent 9 young people there to eat today. The price online is €27.99 without drinks. The prices have increased to €35 per person without drinks. That's a stark difference. Then take the price out of the net😤 They now had too little money for drinks. You won't be able to pay with a card there in 2024. What is this regression? The food is ok, quick and tasty.

Disappointing from A-Z. In my opinion, the sushi 🍣 is one of the bad ones in the city. In my opinion, the fish used is not sushi quality! No service/operation. I got the card myself and had to find the waitress to order/pay and bring it to the table. In the end, no card payment was possible because the device was defective🫣 Avoid at all costs!

Unfortunately we didn't like it at all. Went there for lunch, the selection of sushi is very limited and we weren't impressed by the taste. There are better restaurants in Cologne.

There were four of us eating and we opted for all you can eat in the lunch area. The difference between lunch and dinner is the choice of food. The entire menu is available for dinner, but some dishes are not included for lunch. However, we also found the selection at lunch to be very large. Very nice concept, you have 10 rounds, each worth 35 points (four people) with which you can then order food. Everything is ordered via a tablet, including drinks. You can try a lot of different things and we were definitely full. (only managed 4 out of 10 rounds). Highly recommended!

Good food and the all you can eat offer is also great and inexpensive.

We took over Mikado for a few days for Digital X in Cologne and the food, staff and music were excellent. Overall couldn't fault anything and definitely worth a visit if you are in the media park area and want good food.

We ate there because a friend recommended it to us. The location is really nice and cozy. You can order five dishes per person and can place new orders every 15 minutes. However, the waiters seemed to be under a lot of pressure and the food came relatively late. You can sit there for a total of 2.5 hours and order a maximum of 10 rounds. When we asked why only 10 rounds were allowed at a price of 35 euros, we were told that no one had managed to eat all the rounds anyway. This raises the question of why there is a limit at all if it is not reached anyway. Other than that the food was really tasty. Maybe they could hire more staff so customers don't have to wait so long for their food, and remove the 10-round limit since it doesn't seem necessary anyway.

I'm speechless! We wanted to pay and had to ask for the bill three times and wait a total of 50 minutes until it came. That just doesn't work! I'll never go to this restaurant again.

Many "warm" dishes were cold, especially the sweet potato fries, the fried sushi or the cheese balls. I understand that preparation is everything with a concept like this, but the quality shouldn't suffer. Hot dishes should also be brought to the table warm. I'm happy to wait 5 minutes longer.

My experience at this restaurant was a total disappointment. The staff were incredibly disrespectful and rude. The food was literally thrown on the table. Instead of the actual €35.5, I was charged €38.5 without my consent because they simply took their own tip. In addition, I wasn't even given a receipt because the employee quickly disappeared. I noticed the incident after I left the restaurant, but by then it was too late. I will never visit this restaurant again. If you can't meet people with a smile, you shouldn't do this job!

What a store. The food is good and the selection is large. The drinks waiter was friendly and brought what was missing to the table straight away. That's it for the positive experiences. The Primitivo deserves a maximum of “Pennerglück+” status. €2 to €3 more per bottle would be money well spent. The service is miserable. Then there was no longer any service staff available. When someone happened to be nearby, I ordered dessert. Neither dessert nor service were to be seen afterwards. After about 20 minutes, I was exasperated and went to the counter, bar, scullery or whatever it was and asked for the bill. I hate it when service staff walk through the store with a stare in their eyes, without even looking left or right. Should you throw dishes at their heads or drum so that they notice your request? UNDERGROUND! ! ! The ambience is nice: for a train station hall. It reminds me more of a system restaurant like L'Osteria but not of a sushi restaurant. The very low price would also speak for this.

Unfortunately, despite the many good reviews, I feel compelled to share a bad experience. We were there today (on a Tuesday evening) for all you can eat. For €34.50 per person Rather in the upper segment, which is absolutely fine if the quality is good. I think the selection is okay, I've been to other restaurants with a much larger selection and would have liked a few more options. Unfortunately I have to complain about the quality of the food. The sushi rice was not very tasty, the fish was okay but, in my opinion, not of the best quality considering the price. Many warm dishes arrived at our table rather lukewarm and the grilled dishes were warm rather than hot and quite dry. All in all, relatively bland and not particularly tasty. Regarding the service, I have to say that you didn't feel very welcome. Although you didn't have to wait too long for the food, the food was usually placed at the edge of the table without comment and without eye contact. The empty plates weren't cleared away either so we were allowed to stack them. You felt very dismissed and not particularly valued. Overall, unfortunately I can't go by the good reviews and the dinner for my birthday was pretty disappointing. In my opinion, you can eat much better elsewhere at prices like these.

We've been to Mikado twice for All You Can Eat. The food is prepared quickly and tastes good too. However, the service is a disaster. I have never seen such unfriendly service. The first time we were here I got sauce from a dish on my pants, table and chair when the waitress tried to put it on our table. She just looked at it and walked away without saying anything, not even an apology. On our second visit we ended up ordering desserts like pineapple, ice cream etc. When service came we got our ice cream but the pineapple was confused with watermelon which isn't a bad thing. Something like that can happen. However, when we pointed this out to the waitress, she took the watermelon away in annoyance and also walked away without saying anything. I then waited 30 minutes for my pineapple and told someone else. And generally the plates and cutlery are simply thrown on the table. That's absolutely not possible.

Due to the relatively good reviews, we went here for dinner during the week. It all started when we had made a reservation and I was sitting at the table in the restaurant when we received the cancellation of the reservation. I find it very wild. At the table people just asked listlessly whether it was a la cart or with a tablet. Here we decided on the tablet. Since I already know the tablet functions from Stuttgart, from another restaurant, we already knew how everything works. Our luck, because the tablet was simply handed over and we were left alone. We ordered our drinks and our first round and within a very short time we already had our dishes. It would have been positive if the plates hadn't been slapped down in a completely unfriendly manner. Half of our soup was thrown onto the table, so it spilled over and the waitress had her finger in the soup. The soups were extremely bland, some portions were much too large for small sample portions. But I found it quite strange that in the first round, for example, the duck was okay and in the second round it was completely tough, mushy and not really edible. In addition, all the employees were super unfriendly, except for one lady who only cleared and collected (she was super friendly). One thing that really didn't work at ALL was that two of the employees were so covered in perfume that they were serving the food and you actually almost had to gasp for air because it was such an extreme smell of perfume. I had to wait five minutes for the smell to disappear before I could eat. Some of the employees were smoking in the meantime, which is totally fine, but here the door was open and the smell of smoke penetrated into the restaurant. Not that tasty. We come from further away and tried the restaurant because of the good reviews, but for us it was a disappointment. Our stomachs still hurt until morning. Unfortunately a big disappointment for which you spend a lot of money. We will definitely not recommend the restaurant. This review is based on our opinion.

The team makes every effort to serve all guests individually and the food is just GREAT! If you accept the few negative points and look past them, it is a visit that everyone should enjoy. I was there with my friends, some things were forgotten, two things I ordered didn't arrive. Also, one waiter was very rude. When we wanted to pay, the waiter didn't even look me in the eyes (very rude!!!!), then my Apple Pay was rejected, when I tried to try again it was rejected. I then asked what the problem was and was very annoyed that I didn't answer enough on the card. Since this wasn't right and he didn't even want to let me try another card, I was of course annoyed. Been here twice now. Food generally good. The sushi was normal standard. The “service” bottom drawer.! We waited 40 minutes until we got the tablet, the food we ordered came late or not at all. We kept getting things that no one had ordered, but the staff didn't care and ignored them. The ambience has something of a luxury canteen and was always relatively loud.

I recently had dinner there with my family. A beautiful restaurant, very large and chic, there was soft music playing in the background which brightened the mood - with music that everyone knows ;) Regarding the waiters - very nice staff, helpful and quick, they harmonize well and don't walk around with angry faces. Well received at reception - short waiting time, but you can't complain about that. The restaurant and the waiters are very child-friendly; with our toddler we were immediately offered a children's dining chair. The food is well prepared fresh and tasty. I can recommend it!!

Overall, I can recommend this restaurant 100% and I was 110% satisfied. My wife and I were there on our anniversary, We were warmly welcomed by the waiters and the receptionist. When we arrived at our seat, the system was explained to us using the All You Can Joy/Eat on the iPad. The system worked perfectly. The waiters have the food with you Served with smiles and were always courteous. The restaurant also had nice music in it Background it was just the perfect start to our anniversary. At first I thought oh man oh man it couldn't be any worse. But things improved with the ordering and service. What's not possible is waiting 45 minutes for another course. Therefore only 3 stars. There is room for improvement.

Not recommended on weekends because it's too crowded. Even though we had a reservation, we had to wait. Sometimes it took 50 minutes. until a round was completely brought to the table and for dessert there were plates from 2 rounds before.

Horror is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of visiting Mikado. Both the table and the glasses were not clean. Someone constantly came to our table with food that wasn't for us. I find the fact that the pieces of paper with the table number were on the food very critical. Dirty dishes were put on the tray that still had fresh food on it. The sushi rice wasn't particularly tasty either. All in all, absolutely not worth a visit.

One star is already too many! Unfriendly staff. Dealing with customers should be practiced again :)
