Best all you can eat restaurant!!!! We love eating there!

HYGIENE IN KITCHEN DISASTER. They don't follow the rules Service too slow not recommended

At the beginning of June we ordered “fried sushi rice with fresh vegetables” (according to the flyer) twice. We received a quantity of rice that tasted like nothing, with canned vegetables (!) consisting of corn, carrots and peas. There were neither fresh vegetables included, nor was the rice actually fried, nor did the rice taste delicious, nor did it even begin to justify the price. I can prepare a meal like this at home in 5 minutes without paying 22 euros. And it tastes delicious too. Unfortunately, two attempts to contact Mikado via email failed.

Tasty, but last time we waited over 30 minutes for each order. And then not everything comes, or at least too much at once. The brisk approach has definitely worn off

If you take all you can eat you get a huge selection. The price is a little higher than normal, but awesome. Highly recommended

Went there for the first time today and was immediately impressed. We already knew the ordering system from the competition, but here it is better thought out, the atmosphere is more comfortable, the waitresses were all very friendly and attentive and the food was simply great. We'd love to come back

We had all you can eat, the food is just cheap, tasteless and full of rice. In some cases the taste even exceeds the shelf life. Miso soup only tasted like water... Absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant. There is far better

It was our first time at Mikado and we were very impressed. Ordering with the iPad worked well and the food always came very quickly. Everything tasted really good and we would have liked to eat a lot more! The non-alcoholic cocktails are also highly recommended.

Never tried it before. I was pleasantly surprised. Small portions with many courses, large selection. Simply delicious, will go again.

The waiters don't respond. It will have to wait a long time. Or go to the counter. The serving set is low.

We went to all you can eat sushi on Sunday. There were enough service staff there and everyone was very friendly. The food and drinks all came very quickly and the price was also right.

First of all, we know the Mikado in Cologne, which didn't really convince us and wanted to try its counterpart in St. Augustin. There are differences to Cologne in terms of price and the amount of food. The Mikado in Sankt Augustin is a little cheaper, the premises are smaller, and some dishes are missing from the menu (from chocolate ice cream to fresh tuna with sesame - Tuna Kunshi - was on the printed menu, but couldn't be found on the tab) in comparison to Cologne. The ambience is also a bit simpler compared to Cologne. Nevertheless, we were more impressed by the Mikado in Sankt Augustin. It felt like there were just as many staff there as in Cologne. Accordingly, the waiting times were significantly shorter than in Cologne. The dishes were all top notch and very tasty. The service was very friendly. After a good 2 hours we were kindly informed about our ordering time (2.5 hours) (we had actually made a bit of a mistake). We were also able to stay for a good 30 minutes afterwards. But then our table was reserved for other guests. The highlight for me is the sushi. In particular the (spicy) Gunkan Sushi with salmon or tuna, the fried sushi, the various inside out rolls with cream cheese, tuna or salmon. For dessert you should definitely try the coconut balls (preferably with a spoonful of mango ice cream) and the sweet banana sushi with mango sauce. Of the hot dishes, I think the duck and beef skewers are the best. Overall, we personally (but that's probably very subjective) liked the Mikado in Sankt Augustin better. The ambience is smaller (more like a classic restaurant), the service is friendlier, the food is served at the table much quicker, and all the dishes feel a bit fresher overall. In general, the selection of Asian restaurants in our area is rather large. We have three chains fighting over customers within a 15 km radius (Mikado, Oishii, Xiao). If you like sushi, you won't be disappointed at Mikado, which is a step ahead of Oishii (a little cheaper) in Troisdorf. However, if you eat three sushi as a starter and then feast on it warm, you are probably better served at Xiao in Bornheim. (Reviews of these restaurants can be found below).

I've been there many times and have always been very satisfied. There is a lot to choose from and the food tastes great. The service is also very quick, so you never have to wait long when ordering. I have nothing to complain about.

Were here for the first time at Mikado in Sankt Augustin. We usually always eat at Mikado in Cologne. But wanted to try it out here. Conclusion: never again!! Nothing to compare with Cologne. The selection, the quality and the price. Very little choice compared to Cologne. All starters were too greasy. So fried in fat that it was unfortunately too much for me personally. Not worth €31.50 per person. In Cologne you pay 34.50 per person and the selection is huge and everything is so delicious. Tunamayo didn't taste even remotely like that. I even had to have it returned once. Crispy Roll was sold out. I've never experienced that before. And we were there at 7 p.m. Sprite with strawberry syrup cost €7.50, which doesn't even contain alcohol or anything. Proud price for such a drink. Staff was nice and tried hard. But unfortunately not a second time. 10,000 times better in Cologne. Just because of the selection and the taste.

The quality of the food has deteriorated significantly. Some of the sushi tasted very fishy and the rice fell apart. This is a sign that the sushi is no longer quite as fresh... Card payment was no longer possible. When I asked if this was only the case today, I received no answer. The online table reservation went smoothly.

We have reserved a table for three people for 6 p.m. A friend was still stuck in a traffic jam and announced that she would be there 15 minutes later. Of course we wanted to wait for her. The staff asked us if we wanted to eat from the menu or all you can eat. I wanted to eat a la carte and my friend wanted to eat all you can eat, which we weren't allowed to do. According to the house rule, everyone at the table had to eat either a la carte or all you can eat because the staff can't check whether I actually only eat a la carte...We said that we would wait for our friend first and then decide how we order. At 6:15 p.m. the friend came and we said that we would eat a la carte. We got the cards in 10 minutes and were told that we could only occupy the table for two hours and had to leave at 8 p.m.! This rule also surprised us a lot because there was nothing about it when we made the reservation. This means we now only have 1.5 hours for dinner. I wonder how they do it when people eat All You Can Eat? According to the concept, you have 2.5 hours to eat... So long story short: we left because we wanted to have a long, nice evening and because this way of dealing with customers is unacceptable. We used to visit this restaurant very often and were always satisfied, but it's even more disappointing that they treat their regular customers this way. We won't come anymore.

The portion sizes are sometimes too large for all you can eat, especially in the fried section. The tuna skewer consisted of two large chunks, which wasn't enjoyable. I only know it was cut much more delicately, which tasted delicious. Unfortunately, the sashimi salad was completely disappointing because it was drowned in mayonnaise. But otherwise good average for AYE. Service very friendly and attentive. Thank you for that.

Never again... all the food on the menu here tastes the same... everything drowned in teriyaki sauce... it's absolutely not worth the price... just ridiculous

Sushi selection is very salmon-heavy. Service is fast and super friendly, unfortunately you often don't get what you ordered. The restaurant is always very busy. In my opinion, too expensive for what is offered.

Familiar concept Sushi all-you-can-eat concept. Order (5 products) every 15 minutes via a tray. Several people are put together on a tray, so it is sometimes difficult to remember who has what. The quality is good and the service is friendly. Not a suitable concept for me personally, but still good.

Lots of choice and good food. Unfortunately my Quandoo reservation was canceled by the restaurant during our visit and so I didn't get the points or the extra bonus points... the restaurant probably wanted to save the commission... ;-(

Eaten here often in the past. Now I haven't been there for a few months. Quality has deteriorated well. Service somehow says very little, they don't know what to do with the bowls (table too small). The taste was ok but not very good anymore. Prices have been increased. The card reader hasn't been working for weeks... something like that can be repaired. I don't think I'll go here anymore.

The Mikado has been given a new interior and has become more stylish. The staff is friendly and all orders were filled quickly. The price for the all you can eat menu has increased slightly. The selection is now larger and there are many new delicacies. The food was simply great and this time we ate two more rounds of dessert. This is unusual - sesame ice cream and bean balls etc. but very tasty. The banana ice cream is great. We will be back. Card payment is always a problem, today it was only possible in cash. After all, we were specifically called to point this out.

The food was good as always and the rest was fine too. However, this time it was my last visit as prices increase rapidly every few months. The relationship between price and performance is simply no longer there and it is simply cheeky to increase the prices every 2 months. You can find better alternatives at these prices.

Great food, nice and friendly staff!!!

I was eating there today and an employee with blonde hair served us. She was very rude and insulting. Every time she gave us the wrong things from other tables and she was very cheeky and then she also insulted us. The two other waitresses with black hair were very nice. Otherwise the food was good but the service was a disaster.

Our favorite shop for sushi! Despite the restaurant being full, the sushi came super quickly after ordering via tablet. The staff is always friendly and very accommodating! Comments are also gratefully received (request for spicier wasabi). Thank you for your work and the delicious food! 💯

Ich liebe das Mikado. Ich gehe schon seit Jahren hier Sushi essen und bin immer zufrieden. Das Essen ist qualitativ super.

Sehr leckeres japanisches Essen das per IPad bestellt wird. Das Personal ist immer extrem freundlich. Extrawünsche werden immer erfüllt. Das Essen kam bisher stets schnell und appetitlich angerichtet. Das Bestellen per IPad ist kinderleicht und außergewöhnlich. Alle Speisen durchweg waren bisher köstlich und gut zubereitet. Wenn etwas nicht stimmt, kümmert sich das Personal sofort darum. Kinder, bzw. Familien sind ausdrücklich willkommen. Wir fühlen uns immer wohl und blicken nur in lächelnde Gesichter vor Ort. Dies ist eines unserer Lieblings-Restaurants, dass ich wirklich jedem Fan asiatischer Küche besonders empfehlen kann! Immer sehr zufrieden und jederzeit wieder!

Mega leckeres Essen und insgesamt alles super!

Bisher nur Takeaway in der Filiale in Sankt Augustin bestellt und bisher auch immer zufrieden gewesen. Preise sind absolut in Ordnung, Essen schmeckt immer gut und für Selbstabholende gibt es sogar Rabatt. Ich finde Mikado sehr gut.

Ich liebe es hier. Durch das Tablet ist die Bestellung sehr einfach sogar eine Funktion für's bezahlen gibt's da braucht man nicht mehr nach einer netten Bedienung ausschau zu halten. Alles toll und super einfach. Das Essen ist auch super frisch und die Getränke immer ein toller Hingucker. Sehr empfehlenswert. Es ist sehr wichtig ein Tisch zu reservieren besonders zum Wochenende wird es voll sein. Am besten telefonieren denn die online Reservierung mit Quandoo/Google leitet die Reservierung nicht direkt weiter zum Restaurant.

Tolles Konzept...freundliche Bedienung...das Essen kommt frisch auf den Tisch...viel Auswahl leider etwas teuer, aber für ab und an sich mal was zu gönnen auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.

They have got the best sushi in this area. Nice outside sitting area, the food is authentic and freshly made, and the price is very reasonable for the quality of food. The staff were very friendly and helpful by helping us to choose the right food and drink. I would highly recommend anyone to eat here and have their food delivered to their home. 5 stars.

Das Ambiente ist sehr schön und die Bedienung war sehr nett. Das Essen war auch gut, vorallem das Eis ist zu empfehlen. Wir werden bestimmt nochmal hier essen gehen.

Das Essen war sehr gut, der Service war schnell und die meisten auch freundlich außer eine Kellnerin die ständig genervt war und auch die Augen gerollt hat wenn man sie beispielsweise nach extra Ingwer gefragt hat

Im Mikado ist das Essen ok und sieht gut aus, aber der Service ist überfordert. Das Bestellen per Tablet sollte ja eigentlich reibungslos funktionieren, das Essen kam auch recht schnell, dabei wurden aber Portionen vergessen oder andere Sorte gebracht als bestellt. Die Fotos stammen von der ersten Runde unserer Bestell-Runde. Bei der 2. Bestellung klebte ein Bon am Sushi, den die Bedienung dann "abgeknibbelt" hat, weil er sehr fest klebte. Das Sushi wurde dann aber so serviert, nicht ausgetrauscht, nicht kommentiert. Ob der Bon aus Thermopapier ist oder "nur" Papier mit dem Sushi verklebt war, beides nicht appetitlich und kein schöner Umgang mit den Lebensmitteln.

Ein richtig schöner 🍣 Sushi Abend. Alles war sehr gut organisiert und super frisch und lecker. Der Service war grandios da alle sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend waren. Es war durch die Öffnung des Außenbereiches etwas zu frisch für uns aber auch DAS konnte dem ansonsten schönen und leckeren Abend nichts anhaben.

Tolles Essen und super Konzept, dass viel Freude macht

Küche war leider überfordert, da das Lokal sehr gut besucht war. Bestellten Gerichte kamen nicht so wie bestellt bzw kamen leider gar nicht. Das Prinzip des Lokales finde ich nachahmenswert. Es wird bestimmt besser werden.

Die Nudeln haben gut geschmeckt aber das Fleisch hat leider gar nicht geschmeckt. Sehr zäh und trocken, ohne sauce. Die Portion hat geradeso gereicht hätte für den Preis aber noch dicke mehr sein können

Wir waren gestern wieder im Mikado und hatten das 'Buffet' gewählt. Uns ist aufgefallen, dass bei jeder Bestellrunde mindestens ein Bestellanteil gefehlt hat. Das sind in Summe 10% (10 Stk. pro Runde max.) Darüber hinaus sind die Suhi/Maki kleiner als früher. Vor anhaltender Inflation kann ich Einsparungen verstehen, bin aber über die Transparenz und die fehlenden Teile etwas verwundert. Für mich sieht das wie ein Muster aus, 10% sind 10% und kein zufälliger Fehler. Unabhängig dessen: Die Qualität der Speisen und das Service war wie immer sehr gut.

The fish didn't smell very fresh. The inside-outs were absolutely sticky and must have been there prepared for 2-3 days. I've also seen tons of prepared sushi stacked on top of each other outside of the kitchen. This is then simply cut into sushi rolls and served to the customer. In addition, the food is absolutely overpriced when ordered online - a real cheek for the performance. If you just want to stuff your stomach and don't care much about near-acceptable quality: go for it (but only in the suburbs at All you can eat). Otherwise, it's a waste of money, which with a bit of luck can even give you food poisoning for dessert.

Great all you can eat, with sushi, noodles, soup, rice and much more. Desert is also included. It’s my go to sushi restaurant, great value for money.

Nach vielen positiven Besuchen leider heute eine Enttäuschung. Erstmal aber was positives: Service wie immer top. Schnell und freundlich! Jedoch jetzt schon zum zweiten Mal enttäuschend: Offensichtlich ist das Sushi leider nicht immer wirklich frisch. Der Sushi-Reis schmeckte kalt (lag vermutlich länger fertig im Kühlschrank), trocken und fade. Die Qualität hat diesbezüglich definitiv nachgelassen. Hoffe, dass hier ganz bald gegengesteuert wird.
