There were seven of us eating out. We had a nice table with a reservation. The sticky tables were a bit odd. Otherwise, the food was very appealing and lovingly presented, and the taste was excellent. The price was perfectly reasonable.

The best in the area. Incredibly friendly staff and unbeatable delicious food.

Personally, I didn't find the atmosphere particularly inviting; it felt rather cold. However, the service and food were excellent, and there's nothing to complain about. To use the restroom, you have to enter a code. I don't quite understand the purpose of that.

Six of us were there on Friday evening (with a table reservation). Service was friendly and quick. Cleanliness could be improved, in our opinion: A wheat beer glass wasn't clean, and the table surface felt sticky (a quick test: try rotating the napkin the cutlery is on 360 degrees). We also didn't see the table wiped down after guests left. The various dishes we had were good and plentiful.

Michido is a great restaurant if you're omnivorous. There's a limited vegetarian selection, and almost nothing vegan. Vegan and vegetarian options aren't reliably advertised on the menu. There's a server who knows what's vegan. There are a few appetizers, noodles (omit the egg), and three types of sushi where you have to request the cream cheese. There's no discount for these, even though the cream cheese is one of the most expensive parts of dishes like maki sushi, and many other places manage to offer sushi without cream cheese for a bit less money. I also think it's a shame that the curries can't be made with coconut milk instead of dairy milk upon request. Especially since they already offer a version of each curry with tofu. (Perhaps something can be done about that?) On top of that, the high price puts me off coming here often. The effort of wrapping a cucumber in yoghurt and a nori sheet isn't worth the price I pay here.

A waitress called my girlfriend "weird-looking" in Vietnamese. I find that extremely unprofessional and embarrassing; we won't be coming back. That was the one and only time.

Nothing extraordinary, but absolutely solid. The restaurant is clean, bright, and offers a varied menu with additional lunch options; everyone should find something to suit their taste. If you prefer something a little spicier or more flavorful, please note this when ordering. Overall, the dishes appear fresh and well-prepared.

We waited forever; I had to get up three times. (No one came, I forgot my ginger, and I paid.) The food was okay, but nothing special. We wouldn't go again.

You can eat great sushi here. I was a bit irritated by the sticky tables (even though they were visibly wiped down, they still felt sticky to the touch), and the benches also need updating. But overall, the food is really delicious and varied.

I've often heard from friends that Michido has the best sushi. Unfortunately, I can't confirm that. I was honestly disappointed when we had lunch there. I also hadn't imagined the ambiance to be as good as it would be; everything seemed so worn out. And I found it quite loud.

Unfortunately, the friendliness of the staff left a lot to be desired. My meal was served, and I immediately noticed that there was a hair in it. I politely pointed this out, but unfortunately, the plate was simply taken away, and a few minutes later, the food was brought again. I would have thought it appropriate if they had at least apologized for this. It can happen, but it simply shouldn't happen, and I think it should at least be appropriate, out of politeness, to apologize instead of simply taking the food away and putting it back on the table. The taste wasn't amazing, neither the curry nor the sushi, and that was at a steep price. I felt neither comfortable nor respected as a guest who was spending their money there. It's a shame, but I won't be eating there again.

It used to be very tasty and reasonably priced. However, the quality has declined over time, and the portion sizes have shrunk to a minimum as prices have risen, so that you'd actually need two portions of the fried noodles to feel full.

It's not what it used to be. Every sushi dish tastes the same and keeps getting smaller. And the service has deteriorated considerably. It's a shame, I used to love it.

Das Lokal sollte einmal generalsaniert oder das Konzept überarbeitet werden. Wenn Ende April noch die Glaskugeln in verdorrten Erikastöcken in den Fensterkästen liegen, im Innenbereich die Spinnweben in der Beleuchtung sind, läuft irgend etwas schief. Hier fehlt das Interesse am Lokal. Außerdem hängt seid Monaten ein Zettel an der Eingangstür dass es vorübergehend keinen Alkohol gibt. Sehr seltsam. Das Essen ist gut, aber es gehört trotzdem ein bisschen ansprechendes Ambiente dazu wenn man Geld für Essen ausgibt.

Michido WAS really good, the best Asian restaurant in Coburg. The food is, according to us, great, BUT unfortunately the service has suffered tremendously. The friendliness of the service has left a lot to be desired for some time now; you sometimes have to wait more than half an hour for an "audience" with the waitress to order a drink. There's no alcohol anymore either, but that's still manageable. I hope things get better again. Make michido great again 😁

Went to Michido again in April '25 after a long break...We were a bit disappointed, everything had run down by now, the gentleman who served us was almost incomprehensible and the lady had a very grim face. There were no alcoholic drinks at all, so we couldn't even toast my birthday... it's a shame, no more today or tomorrow.

The food was always very good, but unfortunately the quality has really declined. Service was really weak, completely confused and the lady was so taciturn and unfriendly. You had to wait forever to be served. Really a shame.

Had lunch at Michido. The restaurant is beautifully located on Albertsplatz not far from Coburg Market Square. Summer rolls, sushi and soup were on our order. All dishes were nicely presented and tasted good. The service was okay but could have been a bit friendlier. The restaurant itself is looking a bit tired and could use some attention in one place or another.

Fast and very tasty. We took soup, rolls, coconut-mango set. Very tasty. I didn't like the coffee, next time I'll try the tea. The only thing I didn't like was the plastic utensils for soup. I'm against this. There are good options from other more environmentally friendly materials.

The food here tastes very good, the best sushi I've had in a long time. I really enjoy eating here! The wonton is also super tasty. Prices are also okay and the service is also very friendly. The atmosphere is also very pleasant and there is never really too much going on. Very nice there.

Unfortunately the quality has declined significantly over the years, especially since the last visit. Above all, the salmon and tuna sashimi. A lot of simple convenience, even for starters and main courses. There was a lot of confusion when it came to service, everyone was friendly and accommodating, but there were 3 wait staff for one table... orders were forgotten, no one knew what the other had just taken...

We were eating with 15 people and had to wait two hours for our food, while all the tables around us who came and ordered after us had already eaten and paid. Even the second occupancy at the neighboring tables had their food before us. Fried rice with vegetables and duck came without vegetables and burnt rice. Unfortunately, there was no reasonable response to the complaint. Very unfortunate. You shouldn't be acutely hungry.

Beim genaueren hinschauen wurde die zum Teil starke Verschmutzung im Restaurant sichtbar. Die Lampen die über den Tischen hängen sind mit Spinnweben stark verschmutzt. Schade um dieses ehemals sehr gutes Restaurant.

Remarkable Asian in Coburg centrally on Albertsplatz. Good sushi and a small but fine selection of Japanese and Vietnamese dishes. Nicely furnished in the back. Overall recommended. Parking in the parking garage next door.

The pickup took place at the agreed time, I didn't hear a thank you for the tip or a friendly farewell, e.g. "have a nice weekend"... the waitress turned around silently and left me standing. The food was less than average, because of "crispy duck", "crispy chicken"!?! A mushy mess around hard, fatty flesh, forgettable. Vegetables were overcooked, tasteless, the broccoli was no longer green, almost all of the color was cooked out... And at these prices! No, thank you, not again.

The service is arrogant, rather it only applies to the younger waitress. Just the welcome and finding the place was unfriendly. One table became vacant where we were seated. The waitress cleared the table and then carelessly wiped the table with a wet cloth, and while wiping, crumbs and leftover food fell into my lap! I have never experienced something so ignorant. Overall, the food was not very good, the sauce was diluted and I've had better duck. I do not recommend the restaurant.

Super delicious food - no matter what you order. Service very friendly. In winter it's best to choose seats at the back; it can be drafty at the front if people who pick up their food use the side door. Otherwise a nice view of Albertsplatz and a cozy guest room. We'd love to come back.

The first time I went there about 2.5 years ago, I left totally happy. Nice staff, nice ambience and incredibly delicious food. It seemed to me like a kind of soul food because it was indescribably delicious! I was recently invited there again and the only thing I liked was the Hugo. Unfortunately, my starter and my main course were cooked too long so the pasta wasn't as tasty anymore. Everyone else thought the food was really tasty :)

Das Lokal sieht weder von außen ( ende März noch vertrocknete Winterdeko) noch von innen einladend aus. Hat sehr nachgelassen. Wir sind immer gerne dort eingekehrt, aber jetzt hat man das Gefühl das sich keiner mehr so richtig für das Lokal interessiert. Echt Schade

It was good, meat was a bit dry... There's been better here

When I called the sushi restaurant to place an order this evening, an hour before closing time, I was shocked and disappointed at the lack of customer service. I was hoping to place a quick order for take-out dinner, but no one answered the phone. Despite several attempts and patience, the phone remained unanswered. It is frustrating when a customer wants to use a restaurant's service but receives no response.

Repeat the culinary tour. Excellent food, service and ambience. I'll be back!

Service: unfriendly and arrogant. No trace of Asian friendliness! Food: I only had 3 starters, none of which I would want to eat again. Sate skewer dry and hard. One roll was carelessly filled with white cabbage. The baked shrimp needs improvement. My wife's main course, wok-fried vegetables with baked chicken breast, was only lukewarm and barely steamed. We were very disappointed and can't recommend the restaurant.

I had glass noodles with vegetables and we took our order to go. If I had gotten it in the restaurant, I would have returned it straight away. I get plain noodles with broccoli and a bit of fried onions on top cheaper and better at home. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio here is not right at all. A pity.
