Really nice place. Awesome views and an outstanding location near the lake. The staff was awesome, they were quick, attentive and really sympathetic. All of them. The food was really well cooked, prepared and presented. And it tasted really good. A little expensive but worth it. I'm going to be back, for sure.

A very nice and, above all, delicious Bavarian restaurant with what I think is a very good service staff (which is no longer a given these days). We were here to celebrate a birthday and can only recommend it.

It was our first time in Michaeligarten - and certainly not the last time. The friendly ambience of the inn invites you to linger. We were looked after by Sylvia, an extremely friendly lady who even took great care of our dog. We were taken straight to our reserved table and Sylvia made sure we got the menus quickly. She also picked up the drinks promptly and brought them to the table immediately. We didn't have to wait too long for our food either. The fish dish and the vegan mushroom goulash were both excellent! The excellent service, the tasty food and the beautiful ambience will definitely bring us back to the Michaeligarten. We're excited to see whether the beer garden will be as great in summer!

Beautiful lakeside inn with good food and friendly service

Good inn with very tasty food. Not exactly cheap, but a nice place every now and then.

We waited a long time for drinks and then food. At the next table the guests were already eating the main course and we didn't even have anything to drink, even though we got there earlier. The starter (one for 2) was good. Both main courses didn't excite us. The liver was still raw inside. The ox meat was dry. The sauces from the Packerll. The mashed potatoes and the potato and cucumber salad were bland. Even salt couldn't help. €5.90 for a beer is quite steep. The waitress asked if everything was OK, but it was more of a non-starter. Because of the time delay, there was no word of regret. A total of €100 for two people - we would have expected more. We won't be coming back.

We had reserved a table for 4 p.m. The “receptionist” couldn’t find us or the list. We also had vouchers from Oktoberfest. She said we can go again. She offered us frozen meat in exchange for the vouchers. Otherwise she said we should throw the vouchers away. We persisted and after consulting with the manager, we got a table. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the food was very good. However, the evening was marred by the receptionist's comments. We then left the restaurant straight after dinner. I expected a different way of dealing with guests in a restaurant like this. Therefore only 2 stars I would give 5 stars for the condition and the food.

Unfortunately, the service was totally lackluster. The order was taken incorrectly, drinks were forgotten and the Kaiserschmarrn consisted of three pieces (probably the leftovers, which is how it tasted). No improvement was offered. We definitely cannot recommend it under this service.

We waited 10 minutes to get a menu, then 10-15 minutes to order drinks and food. Before that, they just walked past Sturr and served everyone else. We were close to just getting up and leaving. They were supposedly understaffed, but the table of 15 people was served continuously. The food was very tasty. And when the service was there, they were super nice too. We also waited 30 minutes for the bill. The inn is very large, have 3 rooms. And the beer garden is even bigger. We'll see if we can come again. Maybe in the summer when the beer garden is open to give them a second chance.

Unfortunately, the only fully vegan dish (including plant-based protein) was taken off the menu. Unfortunately, the service is also unhelpful and correspondingly unfriendly.

Although this restaurant is more of an upscale restaurant, the staff is very natural and extremely friendly and accommodating. Our service was very attentive and kind and service-oriented. We have rarely been served as kindly as here.

We celebrated my wife's birthday at the end of September with around 30 guests. The communication via email and telephone was very friendly and uncomplicated. The weather was great and so we were served on the terrace, where we could enjoy a really picturesque view. The service was excellent, warm and attentive. Gladly again!

In der Getränkekarte stehen leider keine Aperitifs, obwohl es nach Anfrage mehrere Angebote gibt.🤔 Wie jetzt schon in mehreren guten Lokalen gibt es leider keine zusätzlichen kleinen Portionen bei den einen oder anderen Speisen.😐 Damit meine ich nicht den Senioren-Teller! Eine Kinderkarte ist vorhanden.👍🏼 Ansonsten ist das Lokal super und auch schön. Das Essen sehr lecker und die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich! 🥰 Gut erreichbar mit U-Bahn sowie gute Parkmöglichkeiten. 👍🏼

The lake with the ducks could be idyllic, but UNFORTUNATELY the ducks are fed by the guests and so they persistently disturb the meal. The fries are very “greasy” Hendl was very tasty! Beer too :)

Highly recommended for a birthday or family celebration! The location offers good seating for both good and bad weather. The lake offers a very nice ambience. There is a playground nearby for children. There is a very good seasonal and vegetarian selection. The service from service staff like Sylvia is very attentive. We'd love to come back!

Cozy, modern ambience in a rustic Bavarian style. Delicious food, rather larger portions, well balanced in terms of taste. Particularly noteworthy is the courteous gentleman who served us this evening, who was called by his colleague Alex. He was extremely cheerful, put us in a good mood, was courteous and attentive, including towards our child, and was pleasant in asking whether we were doing well or whether we had any further wishes. Good service is almost a rarity these days, and Alex surprised us in a very positive and professional manner. You'll be happy to come back! Many thanks especially to Alex for the great hospitality.

The beer garden was nice but since there were about 15 guests in front of each cash register, we didn't eat or drink anything. Something has to change because it's not the first time we haven't bought anything there because of the queue at the checkout. Today we were there again. Everything was in order. Nice ambience right on the lake and overall nice beer garden, therefore deserves 1 star. Unfortunately, the food (cheese spaetzle) was by far the worst I've ever eaten and cold too! The complaint was met with a shrug of the shoulders. This also means bad service.

Nicely located. Unfortunately, saving rips is not so good and expensive. They have always been very tasty over the last few years. Not this year. A pity. Coffee and potato salad were very good. The free parking spaces are positive.

Nice inn by the water. The service is always friendly. We were there for coffee and cake. Unfortunately we found the cake rather tasteless, but it could have just been an unfortunate coincidence. What we found very positive is the children's menu. This actually has more selection than just fries and spaghetti. What we found unfortunate is that there weren't that many lighter dishes to choose from. At 30 degrees, schnitzel and spaetzle are simply too heavy. Card payment is possible.

We had a family reunion there on July 6th in the beer garden with 30 people, many of whom had traveled a long way. Unfortunately, this was abruptly ended by a thunderstorm. I politely asked if we could sit in the restaurant as there wasn't a table occupied. The answer I got was that ALL tables were reserved. Unfortunately we all left in the pouring rain. I can't judge whether the statement was true, but the managing director here can certainly answer that afterwards. If this statement was false, I would send the employee home immediately.

Nice ambience. The quality of the food is okay and the prices are okay…for a beer garden. Definitely a star deduction for boring potatoes with a dollop of quark for €7.5. Half chicken is ok for that. Nice little playground and lake. I've been coming back for almost 30 years because it's close by and easily accessible by subway and car (free parking).

Beautiful beer garden by the lake with self-service. Beer prices are hefty. Unfortunately there is no charging station nearby - considering that this is supposed to be the largest leisure pool in Munich...

I like it there. I imagined a fish roll. I'm shocked that a normal fish roll costs €6.50. From one glass you make 5 pieces... very questionable. Is that normal?
