Don't let the prices scare you! The food, whether pizzas or Mexican dishes, is very good! The portions are also more than enough! Service great!

There wasn't much going on. Otherwise always very full. Great location on Haidplatz. Hundreds of people walk past it. Service was very attentive and friendly. Really very good. Pizza is okay. Above all, it’s very big. Prices are slightly higher compared to the pizzerias in the immediate area. Can you go there?

We had dinner here with friends. The store seems clean, the staff is quick, very accommodating and hard-working. I had a great seat because from here I could watch closely how the chefs operated the wood-fired oven and made the pizzas. My friend also ordered a pizza and it was well topped and he thought it was very tasty. I would have run the oven a little hotter, but I also prefer something very dark... The rest of the dishes were also great. We had a great evening! But why one star less? It is very important for me personally that I can park in front of the door. Unfortunately that is not possible here. Luckily I was only traveling in a very small vehicle, so I was able to drive into a parking garage. Regensburg needs to take action here in order to become more attractive for private transport. I wish the restaurant continued success! Keep your quality that way!

Service friendly and nice but very poorly organized and slow. But they still try hard.

Starter plate for just under 20 euros is an outrage, a few bland tasting pieces of vegetables, a few olives and a lot of rocket! We returned spaghetti aglio olio after a few forkfuls because it was inedible. (This dish really shouldn't be that difficult....) Service friendly, but hopelessly overwhelmed. Never again. We have never eaten so expensively, sooooo bad!

From the outside, Peppers looks more like a tourist bar or café. Inside it is nicely decorated and has more of a Mexican impression. The service was very good at the beginning and the drinks were picked up and brought straight away. The dishes were also brought to our table quickly and at pretty much the same time. We had burgers and pizza (not the typical Mexican but yes). After we were finished, the empty plates were picked up pretty quickly and then the service staff was always on the go but didn't ask if we would like something more to drink, for example. The neighboring table also had to go to the counter to pay. The dishes were all very good and of sufficient size. But the prices are a bit high.

We can't even describe the food in words: pizza dripping with grease, pasta tasted cheap and the meat was old. Drinks were refreshing though! All in all, it's a tourist rip-off.. not recommended!!

Super friendly staff. The food was delicious and sitting outside in the best weather was very pleasant. A bit difficult for people who want to avoid the sun. But if you don't have a problem with that, great.

The ambience is really nice. The waiters are also very friendly. Unfortunately I have to say the food isn't that great. Had a burger that was really nicely prepared but the peti was like a shoestring in terms of consistency. The burritto was not a burrito but a large pladen overflowing with only chili con carne. You can tell that the food has been cooked some time before and is just being “warmed up”.

Disappointing experience - overpriced, not real Mexican food and questionable quality I was looking forward to a cozy evening with good food, but unfortunately my visit to Peppers was a bitter disappointment. I ordered the steakhouse potato pan and it looked exactly like the photo I uploaded - but that was the only positive thing. In terms of taste, the dish was nothing special: the beef strips were juicy but hardly seasoned, the vegetables seemed carelessly fried, and the potato wedges were more fatty than crispy. Not a highlight, just boring and unspectacular. My colleague had the Black Gambas for a whopping €26 – and that was really a joke. Instead of large, juicy shrimp, he got mini shrimp that had hardly any taste and definitely didn't justify the high price. An absolute disgrace! If you're going to ask for so much, then you should also offer quality and appropriate portion sizes. And the worst: This place has absolutely nothing to do with Mexican cuisine! Anyone expecting authentic Mexican flavors will be bitterly disappointed. The food is more reminiscent of German home cooking with a pinch of Tex-Mex, but no trace of real Mexican taste. In addition, the price-performance ratio is underground. For this quality and portion sizes, the prices are an absolute rip-off. There are so many good restaurants where you can really get something high quality for your money - but here? Unfortunately none. I will definitely never eat here again and would advise anyone to look for another restaurant if they expect good food. Definitely not a recommendation!

First of all, the food was really delicious and the service was really on point 👌🏻 You never sat for more than 2-3 minutes with an empty drink and the service was incredibly courteous, polite and authentic! In itself, it's also a great idea to combine Italian and Mexican. Despite everything, 2 stars deducted. We had just made a reservation at Peppers and unfortunately sat in the Italian section. The main point of criticism for us is the high price, which was also the reason for our first and last visit to Peppers.

Price performance unfortunately not ok. Unfortunately the quality of the meat dish was not good for the price. Staff were sometimes overwhelmed and very, very loud so that you couldn't have a proper conversation.

I can recommend the food, but for me the price-performance ratio leaves a lot to be desired, as I have observed over time that the vegetables have increased significantly in relation to the meat. Unfortunately, the Tex beer wasn't that good either; tequila was actually only a hint.

Just ordered here ( Lieferando, delivery was good) Unfortunately the food was terrible. The ribs smelled strange, as if the meat was no longer really fresh, and the taste was the same. The accompanying fries smelled and tasted like old deep fryer grease. The side salads were bland and especially the tomatoes were not fresh. The chili con carne wasn't seasoned and overall it wasn't chili, more like Bolognese with a few scattered kidney beans. Unfortunately, the food was not edible and ended up in the trash, a waste of food and hard-earned money.

The first time to the Mexican... Lots of tables in a small space, service nice but noticeable stress with 2 shops, quite tasty.

Warm with a friendly waiter. Very few people are dining here. The orders came out in good time. - Peppers Grill Teller Acapulco and The Mittagsangebote Spaghetti Carbonara. My husband loved the garlic butter that melted on all. The Carbonata was a bit thick. I have a happy huaband😁

Food was good and quick, especially for being packed and all the food that was ordered. Waiter was nice and responsive.

Had the beef strips. Really underground. The meat was not seared properly, had no crust and no taste. It was so strong that you chewed it for 5 minutes. Really bad, and way too expensive.

Fabulous restaurant in Regensburg's Haidplatz, with great service, great ambience and delicious food. We had the Buffalo Chicken Wings and the Peppers Spare Ribs, and both dishes were great!! I can absolutely recommend Peppers Restaurant!!!

What's great here is that you can order both Mexican and Italian from both restaurants. The staff were extremely friendly and we had great fun! Thanks for that. The food was also very tasty and sufficient. Only the prices are significantly higher, even for Regensburg standards.

We had tacos and a burrito on the lunch menu. The tacos are recommended! However, there was too much cheese on the burrito and it was no longer a real burrito. Otherwise everything was great!

A big compliment to the good cuisine and the friendly staff! :-) I've been enjoying going to Peppers for years, whether it's Italian cuisine or Mexican, there's something for everyone here. The food is always freshly prepared, neither my friends nor I have ever had anything to complain about. Always my pleasure! :-) Thumbs up.

The Steakhouse Potatoespan dish is the worst dish I have ever eaten, the meat was tough and the beef died 5 times, I would not come to this restaurant again. The service was very polite and competent, but the chef lacked insight into the food. Therefore, I would never pay €26 for this dish again in my life, and the quality of the food was lacking, which was evident from the floury potatoes. Overall, NEVER AGAIN!

I recently visited the restaurant for the first time and was unfortunately disappointed. The extensive menu made choosing difficult and I felt pressured to order quickly. It would be desirable to have a little more time to make the selection. Ultimately I decided on a cheeseburger with fries... around 20 euros each, which is actually no problem at all, but not for this poor quality! Meat patty tasted like ready-made food, the selection of cheese was quite strange, I have no idea what kind it was, but it didn't taste good at all. After the waitress asked me if everything would fit, I expressed my opinion. The chef promptly came to our table. His way of asking me if I had a problem was not friendly, to which I replied everything. Extremely unprofessional from the perhaps self-proclaimed “chef”. Long story short: we'll never go there again.

Definitely not Mexican, but a Tex/Mex restaurant. A rather poor price-performance ratio for what is offered. The food was tasty, the portion was ok. However, there is room for some improvement in the preparation. With the first lettuce leaf I almost pulled the entire dish off the plate. In general everything was very roughly cut. The tortillas in my enchilada were, judging by the degree of hardness, rather crispy tacos. After the meal we wanted to finish the meal with a margarita. After three waiters walked past our empty glasses and plates a total of eight times, with a total of few visitors and attempted eye contact, this didn't happen again. Employees smoking in the entrance area and a canteen-like beep from the kitchen made the rather dark atmosphere feel less comfortable. No recommendation from us!

We had burritos. These weren't bad but not particularly good either. At just under €65 for two meals and two drinks it is very expensive

We were there on Saturday, June 15th. In the evening at Peppers. The Mexican food was, as always, very tasty, but what was particularly worth mentioning this time was the service. Incredibly friendly, competent and fast. Unfortunately there was no name on the invoice, but we hope that this praise still reaches the right gentlemen :-)

Go out for Mexican food at the historic Haidplatz, in the center of Regensburg's old town. Peppers, the Mexican restaurant, is part of the double complex that also includes the Pizzeria Al Camino. We were there because of the Peppers, but it's very practical that if in doubt you can also order from the other menu. From the outside, the restaurant appears a bit expansive, looking more like a run-of-the-mill restaurant in a typical tourist spot. But the inside is very suitable and nicely decorated. Our service lady was really quick, very friendly and did everything perfectly. Large selection of hearty and refined dishes and grill plates available. Prices are also a bit hefty, but the portion size is very large. Starter not really necessary, really struggled with the baked chili. Very tasty and rich and to round it off you can of course order ground chilies and chili oil.

The food and atmosphere were okay; however, the service was exceptional, which is why I gave 5 stars! I usually do not rate any restaurant in Germany with 5 stars, but today we were greeted warmly, and the lady who assisted us was very friendly and professional. We all noticed her excellent and professional service. It is one of the rare times in Germany that we have received such wonderful customer service!

We love peppers... Newly discovered for us because our children in Regsb. study. Have been there 3 times so far and have not been disappointed in any way. Regardless of Italian or Mexican, both excellent. The last time I sat outside, what can I say, it was great. The staff is friendly and accommodating... They even brought a water bowl for our dog without asking... So kind... Thank you... We'll be happy to come back...

The waiting time until you received the order was almost 1 hour. Then you got the food, which unfortunately wasn't as expected. Very disappointing.

Unfortunately, the food is far too expensive and cannot be recommended. Enchilladas were warmed up, almost cold, not seasoned. Salad below all dignity, thick stalk, hardly any dressing. It's a shame, the days of good preparation are over!

Unfortunately no longer recommended. Price/performance no longer fits. I always enjoyed going to Peppers, but someone here clearly exaggerated the price increases. I understand that prices have to be adjusted. You notice this in almost every restaurant and it is often justified. But if almost every main course costs €25, the quality has to be different. Sorry....

I ordered a grill plate with beef fillet. The potatoes were good, but the fillet was not so good. It was quite tough and not as soft as you would expect from beef fillet. The taste wasn't worth the price either.

After a lawyer wants to have my review deleted and I have no memory of the meal 5 years ago (February 11, 2019 according to the timeline), I describe the last visit on July 1, 2023 according to the invoice. Wanting to drink cocktails at happy hour, we went to the restaurant in the evening. Ordering went quickly, my companion got her cocktail within 5 minutes. However, I had to wait over 30 minutes despite asking several times. The waitress was probably very overwhelmed and even left our card payment machine on the table. (Could we have taken that with us? Was it included in the price?) Maybe the mistake was that we sat in the restaurant and didn't sit outside. The waitress even had to walk past us, which didn't help. I can't say anything about the food. A pity

Everything was overpriced and very long waiting times for both drinks and food even though there wasn't much going on.

Ordered ribs, buffalo wings and paella. Ribs portion is not small but a bit dry. Buffalo wings should be costed or dipped with hot source but is came separately. Paella is fired rice with one shrimp with few pieces fish which is quite unusual.

Very tasty food. Nice atmosphere. But what I would like to emphasize is the extremely nice service (male in his late 40s). We got a table despite having 3 children 😅 Fast, uncomplicated and very friendly. The star deduction was only because of the prices, even though that seems to be the normal price level now.

Food is completely okay, drink prices are clearly too high, paella is ok, burgers are mediocre to good, juicy in any case, but what a fresh cucumber does in the burger is a mystery, food is unfortunately served separately and therefore everything takes far too long . The bun on the burger should be changed and generally for 18.50 euros this is not the quality you would expect. Fries with the burger were good. Service very slow. Overall it was a good average, but not a reason why you should generally go there.

Good restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The staff is friendly and quick. Of course, if there is a lot going on, you have to wait a bit. The dishes were very generous for relatively good prices and you can choose between Italian and Mexican dishes. We really enjoyed the food and filled our bellies well. The only points that bothered us are that the interior is so tight and therefore very noisy at peak times. You sit almost back to back and the noise level is really extreme, so much so that you almost have to shout at the person sitting next to you.

On weekday evenings, the restaurant wasn't overcrowded... but we still had to wait 20 minutes for the service (two ladies) to come to our table. They walked past all the time but were ignored. The same thing happened at the next table until they loudly drew attention to themselves. Drinks and snacks came early but after an hour there was suddenly no waitress at the counter or in the dining room for at least 40 minutes... neither paying nor reordering possible... Very strange! I've been to Peppers 2-3 times, it's always been good, that's why 4 stars, but the last one was really poor in terms of service...

My boyfriend and I went there for dinner on Valentine's Day. When we arrived (my friend had made a reservation) we were shown to our table by a nice lady. Then a waitress walked past us and asked the pizza maker loudly: “Do they have a reservation?” We found that extremely rude. She could have asked us herself... I didn't take this cheek and told her that we had reserved. She just looked at me stupidly and left. About 10 minutes after us, 5 other guests arrived and were served first.... the prices for the quality don't make you want to come back again... I had Tagliatelle Manzo. There are supposed to be small tomatoes in there too, but unfortunately I'm missing them. It tasted good but almost 19€ for something like that is more than exorbitant, even if the percentages have increased.... in my friend's fajita, the beef and chicken were cut way too big and unfortunately too dry... an experience we had don't do it again ^^

Me and my partner went here the other day and it was not an enjoyable experience! We first got seated and it was very warm and a cosy atmosphere. There was only a party of around 6 people in the restaurant and ourselves. Got some table water and then ordered food. The food came out in parts which is normal for a lot of restaurants! But we then waited for our main course which was tacos with chilli and also Mexican style bbq rice with chicken and beef strips. The tacos came which were amazing but felt like it was missing something as it was just a lot of cheese and not much meat. Then came the bbq rice. It was supposed to have chicken and beef but neither of which were in the rice, it was solely just a plate of rice with bbq sauce. So we waited a few minutes thinking maybe it comes on a separate plate. But nothing came so my partner went up to the waitress and explained that there was no meat In the rice and she heavily insisted that there was. Until we made it clear that there wasn’t especially as it was about 22€ for a plate of bbq rice. Anyways the chef overheard and apologised and said he completely forgot, which being in hospitality before I understand but was a little confused as the restaurant was empty. The waitress then came and took the bbq rice and apologised for not believing us and then said they will remake it and will be with us in 2 minutes! But instead we just asked for another plate of tacos instead as we liked these the first time. Second plate of tacos came and the cheese was a completely different colour and tasted different, which I’m not sure why this was the case and this one also came with guacamole which seemingly was missing from the first one! The waitress also wasn’t very attentive or friendly! She wasn’t smiling from the minute we walked in and after the problems with the food just seemed to dismiss us a little bit. I understand maybe it was frustrating but from our side we weren’t going to pay 22€ for a bowl of rice! And that she didn’t believe us was also upsetting until she came and looked. Eventually we paid and left with no real acknowledgment. I think this place does have good potential it’s just upsetting especially as it was completely empty that we got no acknowledgment and we became very uncomfortable. I would still recommend the tacos even after all this, they were incredibly tasty.

Super restaurant, nette Bedienungen, leckeres Essen. Die Stücke in der Fajita-Pfanne könnten etwas kleiner sein, damit man die Tortilla leichter rollen kann.

Seit fast einem Jahrzehnt unsere Lieblingsgaststätte. Lecker, reichliche Portionen, gemütlich und nettes Personal. Pizza aus dem Holzofen ist vor allem im Winter ein Traum.

Vorab das Essen und Service war gut. Jetzt kommt allerdings das aber. Der Preis ist für mich nicht gerechtfertigt. Hatte ein Burrito nicht schlecht aber auch nicht Oberklasse, dafür 22€. Wenn ich so überlege, Chilli ein bisschen Salat und der Wrap sind evtl. 5€ im Einkauf. Das Gewinn erwirtschaftet werden muss ist völlig klar, die 5 Euro für ein Weizen also noch vertretbar, aber 22 Euro für ein paar günstige Zutaten... Ist mir persönlich einfach zu viel, schade.

Montag fajita night ab 18 Uhr. Das beste was sie in meinen Augen anbieten. Plus Cocktail dazu sehr günstig. Wir teilen uns immer eine fajita, und das ist bis jetzt immer noch die leckerste die ich je im Leben gegessen habe. Bedienung auch immer sehr freundlich.

Wir waren letztens mit einer grosse n Gruppe da und obwohl wir angefragt hatten wegen Barrierefreiheit kamen wir nur mit Hilfe einer mitgenommen Rampe in das Lokal. Sehr ärgerlich. Essen hat mir gut geschmeckt

Service ist sehr freundlich. Essen ist sehr sehr lecker. Preise sind etwas höher, aber für das was man bekommt 100 prozent angemessen. Ambiente top 👌
