Finally open again. Completely renovated, great work. New to the menu: ribs—I don't think I've ever had such good ones.

One should not interfere in political matters..... There is a democracy in Germany (at least on paper). I will no longer go to a restaurant that is hostile to democracy!!!!

After seeing that they now want to exclude groups for political reasons, to take action against the exclusion of certain groups, I no longer feel like going there. Unprofessional.

I can no longer recommend this restaurant. They discriminate against political parties and their voters! This is an absolute no-go! I was a regular customer until the weekend (September 14th), but now they're on my list of places to stop!

Great restaurant with a lovely ambiance. The restaurant's interior is modern and tastefully decorated, with a beautiful forest beer garden – a real eye-catcher. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I also really enjoyed the food. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable visit.

Today was the first and last time I was there. The appetizer took 45 minutes, the main meal over an hour... The fries were cold, the ketchup was inedible, and the crust was swimming in grease... The waiters were already arguing about who owned which side of the beer garden as soon as we entered... It was a shame about the food, and we won't be coming back...

What a lovely place the old Mettgenpin was, for over 143 years. Quaint and cozy, with lots of charm and a consistently great atmosphere. It was also delicious and affordable. The Greeks completely transformed the Mettgenpin in 1877. Into what I consider a cool, stylish, and sterile bar. Where the prices are about 30% higher than before, the portions are smaller, and what's served isn't even better—quite the opposite. The service, specifically the speed and attentiveness, could be better. Unfortunately, there's no other beer garden like this in Hemer under old trees... Nevertheless, the new Mettgenpin isn't a place we'd visit again. Everything new simply meant too many things were worse for us than they were until 2020.

The food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended. The beer garden is beautifully decorated and has a stage for live music.

We were there today for the living room concert. There was a nice band playing, you could still have a good chat and the burgers were good. What more could you want 🙂. The service was also good, although it was a bit drabby due to the full beer garden. The staff was very nice and made up for the slightly longer wait for the food 👍. We will be happy to stop by again.

Were there today for the May dance. At first we were charged €11 for 2 x 0.3L Cola Zero, but when we asked it was “only” €7… When I later ordered another 1 Cola Zero & 1 water (again 0.3L each) with sparkling water and paid €7 again and when I asked I was told that a water actually costs €3.50 we then made our way home. By the way, the 0.3L beer only costs €3.30, as far as I know it is not legal that beer is cheaper than water. Nevertheless, the beer garden is very nice and generally a nice location. If you don't mind paying a lot of money for your drinks, you're in good hands here.

Yes definitely. A visit to the beer garden is always worth it. And we can only recommend the nice, cozy evenings at bingo or with nice music with Harry and his boys

Hello, yesterday we celebrated a birthday at Mettgenpin with 18 people. We felt very comfortable and were served very well. The food was super tasty and plentiful. It was a completely successful evening.

A big compliment to the Mettgenpin team... An excellent, cozy, yet modern atmosphere entices you to stay there... Food bomb, there's more than 5 star rating in it!! Thanks to the kitchen, they really rocked it even though the place was packed!!! The staff is consistently friendly and personable, from the counter to the service.... You can only feel comfortable here.... Keep it up!!!😎🍻

The restaurant has been lovingly renovated (after water damage). Modern and yet cozy. You can also eat small things and drink a delicious beer. Very nice service and a nice beer garden in the summer. An enrichment for Hemer.

At first I was surprised after the flood renovation at how modern it has become. Service, however, clumsy, overwhelmed temporary workers (family?). After we had already had our first round of drinks (group of 18 people) we were asked to move. I didn't order anything to eat and that was a good thing. Be it loveless, burnt tarte flambée, convenience food (schnitzel). Maybe I'll give a second chance to the beer garden alone or as a couple in the summer.

A nice restaurant and friendly and fast service. However, I was very disappointed that the veggie burgers on the menu - to my delight as a vegetarian - were not available! According to the waitress, they don't ask enough about it. Yes, then please don’t offer it!! The alternative was a not filling tarte flambée and half raw fries, which I also noted. There is still room for improvement.

Very good, newly renovated restaurant in the heart of Hemer. Run by a warm-hearted owner who takes time for his guests. When planning a celebration, she was very sensitive and imaginative in order to meet all of the guests' wishes. The food is fresh and deliciously prepared - the price-performance ratio is good. The service is very attentive and courteous. The newly designed interior is very tastefully decorated. Highly recommended!

There were 14 of us who had an appointment for a class reunion and we sat in a separate, nicely furnished room. Ideal for this purpose because there was a lot to talk about and we didn't bother anyone. There was also delicious food and friendly service - everything was perfect.

I was lucky enough to celebrate my 60th year at Mettgenpin 1877 and it was a great pleasure. Great location, great service and very tasty food. It was an unforgettable evening for me and my guests. The commitment of Poly, Laki and Theo and everyone involved exceeded all my expectations. The price was more than fair... I felt very comfortable and would love to come back to your traditional Hemeran restaurant with the most beautiful beer garden far and wide.

I was there as part of a networking event. The rooms are very attractive. We ate very well from the buffet. The gluten-free vegetarian lasagna was particularly praiseworthy. I will certainly eat here again in private.

We were guests at the "Neuer Mettgenpin" for the first time and were excited to see what awaited us. New small and clear map. Surprisingly the opening times from 12 p.m. The old dingy look is a thing of the past. Everything was designed new and chic inside. The garden was also spruced up accordingly. Prices have of course increased and many side dishes have to be ordered separately, making the whole thing even more expensive. Example: I ordered a burger with chicken and what was presented was a disappointment to me. Fries had to be ordered separately and came in a clear bowl. The large burger expected for this price (it was normal size) was served very clearly and unadorned on a large plate. The chicken meat was a breaded ready-made schnitzel, and the inside of the sticky bun did not correspond to a real, well-made burger. The price-performance ratio is right here Just not. I don't want to rate the other dishes we ordered any further. It's a shame, they make it too easy for themselves with supposedly simple dishes (which also have a high standard of quality and presentation). In addition, as is usual here, there is no beer in 0.2 size, but the "small" is 0.33 liters and the "large" is 0.5 liters. I hope the “young” owners have success with it... The service and the operation were very good and very attentive (in our case the older people had to take over the service)

Today I was at Mettgenpin again for 16 years. The days of dark, rustic pubs are history. A massive renovation was carried out here and a lot of blood, sweat and nerves were invested to create a modern, inviting ambience. The menu is small but nice because you concentrate on what you can do. Drinks menu is also good and everyone will find something here. Service was good and quick. I'll definitely be back and that's not just because of the memories from my childhood and youth.

The ambience is simply great and you can see the passion that goes into gastronomy. The atmosphere is really nice and the food was simply delicious. The staff was also super friendly. I can only recommend it!

The food needs to be improved. My schnitzel wasn't cooked properly, so I couldn't eat a whole piece. I said so and it was then passed on to the kitchen. Otherwise no more reaction. With others you get a small apology. I don't think it's that bad, something like that can always happen in the kitchen 😊 It's very nice to sit in the beer garden and we could also watch football 👍

Turned out super beautiful! Lots of space in the beer garden and the interior has become really stylish. There is also space here and currently the European Championships can be viewed on a total of 8 TVs. Thank you for the delicious meal before the opening game and a lovely evening in a great atmosphere.

Really nice after the renovation. Little things still need to be completed but that's not a bad thing. Food and service were top!!! Looking forward to next time!

Was at lunchtime and wanted to eat with my husband. There were 6 people there for dinner. Everything went wrong, after my husband finished eating, I got mine too. This was previously given away to another table. Sorry but what do the staff do when the store is full???

Wir waren an einem Samstag Abend im Biergarten. Spontan sind noch Familie und Freunde dazu gestoßen. Das war für die nette Bedienung kein Problem und ein Tisch wurde dazu gestellt. Alles war super...mein Burger sowie die Krüstchen waren sehr lecker 😋 wir freuen uns auf's nächste Mal.

Wir können uns den negativen Bewertungen nicht anschließen. Wir waren mit dem Wohnmobil in Hemer und sind im Mettgenpin eingekehrt. Wir wurden von dem Wirt Michael und der Bedienung sehr herzlich und freundlich empfangen und fühlten sofort wohl. Die Gaststätte ist sehr urig und gemütlich und man kann einen schönen Abend dort sehr gut verbringen. Das Essen war sehr gut und reichlich! Besonders die Muscheln haben meinem Mann sehr gut geschmeckt. Sehr gut dazu war auch das frische Brot und das Tomatensugo. Ich hatte die Schnitzelpfanne, mit der ich mehr als zufrieden war. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Der Biergarten und die Preise sind in Ordnung. Die Bedienung war hingegen sehr unfreundlich. Auf zwei Fragen wurde nicht geantwortet und einfach weggegangen.

Wir saßen im Biergarten, der nicht sonderlich attraktiv ist. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich, jedoch mussten wir etwas länger auf unser Essen warten, obwohl nicht viele Gäste anwesend waren. Das Essen war in Ordnung.

Ein ganz wunderbarer Ort, um in rustikalem Ambiente lecker essen zu gehen. Das Team ist sehr nett, und das Essen ist frisch gekocht, wirklich superlecker und die Portionsgrößen können sich echt sehen lassen. Nur mit einer Gruppe von Vegetariern würde ich hier vielleicht eher nicht hingehen 😉

Uriges, gemütliches Lokal mit super Bedienungen, konstant gute und abwechslungsreiche Küche mit leckerem Bier!

Sehr urige Gaststätte mit deftiger Küche aber auch gerne was für den kleinen Hunger, im Sommer ein Wunderschöner Biergarten unter riesigen Kastanien. Auftritte von Bands oder auch den lokalen Schulorchestern sind im Programm. Das Mettgenpin versteht, was Regionale Bereicherung bedeutet! Stammtische verbringen auch gerne Ihre Abende hier, da man bei gutem Essen und Trinken auch ausgelassen Plaudern kann aber sein eigenes Wort auch noch gut versteht. Danke an das gesamte Team!
