Wir haben heute nach unserer standesamtlichen Trauung ein Mittagsbuffet/Mittagessen veranstaltet. Service Top und das Essen unglaublich. Schon nach der Vorspeise waren die meistens Gäste satt. Es war echt richtig richtig lecker. Auch mein Schwager hat letztes Jahr dort seine Hochzeit gefeiert und was Veranstaltungen angeht wird sich dort richtig Mühe gegeben. Danke für den heutigen Tag !

Ich habe 20 Minuten gewartet, bis ich um eine Speisekarte bitten konnte. Und das wars. Ich habe noch mal eine Viertelstunde gewartet und bin dann gegangen. Es war nicht voll und es war mehr als genug Personal da. Schade, denn die Musik draußen war schön.

Das Essen war hervorragend – besonders die Rippchen waren unglaublich zart, saftig und perfekt gewürzt. Auch das Ambiente hat überzeugt: gemütlich, stilvoll und mit einer angenehmen Atmosphäre zum Wohlfühlen. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Insgesamt ein wirklich gelungener Besuch, den ich gerne weiterempfehle. Ich komme definitiv wieder!

Auf jeden Fall die leckersten Spareribs, die ich je gegessen habe

Ein schöner Ort für ein gemeinsames Essen mit der Familie ob groß oder klein. Die Currywurst mit Pommes sowie der klassische Hamburger sind zu empfehlen. Als Vorspeise gab es eine Portion Brot mit leckerer selbstgemachter Aioli, über etwas mehr Brot dazu würde ich mich aber freuen. Zusätzlich möchte ich mich bei den Mitgliedern des Mettgenpin für ein offenes und kulantes Gespräch bedanken, die sich Kritik zu Herzen nehmen ums sich verbessern zu wollen. Danke.

Wir haben den 18. Geburtstag von meinem Sohn dort gefeiert. Alles hat super geklappt geklappt von der Planung bis zur Verabschiedung. Wir haben uns alle sehr wohl gefühlt und das Essen war sehr gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder vorbei .

Wir waren mit Freunden gestern Abend essen..es war eine sehr angenehme, freundliche und zuvorkommende Atmosphäre. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam, der Küchenchef fragte am Tisch nach, wie wir unsere Speisen haben möchten ( Vor/Hauptgang). Das Essen war sehr schmackhaft und gut temperiert, die Teller waren nicht überfüllt und sehr schön angerichtet. Das Mettgenpin ist sehr schön renoviert und modern, sauber eingerichtet. Wir kommen gern wieder !

Ein wunderschöner Abend mit tollem Essen und unterhaltsamer Quizshow. Nächstes Mal bin ich auf jeden Fall wieder dabei.

Wir sind als (kleine) Gruppe zum allerersten Mal im Mettgenpin gewesen um am Kneipenquiz teilzunehmen. Ich muss schon sagen: unsere Erwartungen wurden tatsächlich in jeder Hinsicht übertroffen. :) Das Personal durch die Bank megafreundlich, richtig familiär. :) Das Essen, in unserem Fall Tapas und Burger waren absolut top und das Kneipenquiz war auch der Hammer. Schwer und herausfordernd aber durch die bunt gemischten Gruppen auch mega kurzweilig und schön. Wir haben uns direkt für den nächsten Termin einen Tisch reservieren lassen und kommen total gerne (mit Verstärkung) wieder. Das aller schönste des Abends war allerdings, dass ich nach Ewigkeiten - wirklich Ewigkeiten - meine Cousine bei genau diesem Quiz im Mettgenpin wiedergetroffen habe. Es war quasi wie eine Familienzusammenführung nach Jahren bei guten Freunden mit stattlichen Rahmenprogramm. :-D Mettgenpin-Team: Herzlichen Dank für dieses Erlebnis und den superschönen Abend! Wir waren als Gruppe im Mettgenpin in Hemer essen und das Fazit ist eindeutig: Die besten Rippchen in der Umgebung. Die Rippchen waren perfekt zart, saftig und intensiv glasiert – handwerklich sauber umgesetzt, geschmacklich auf Top-Niveau und in einer Portion, die den Anspruch „Hauptgericht“ ernst nimmt. Genau so erwartet man das. Ergänzt wird das Ganze durch sehr aufmerksamen, freundlichen und authentischen Service. Man fühlt sich nicht abgefertigt, sondern willkommen. Das Team arbeitet professionell, vorausschauend und mit sichtbarer Freude am Gastkontakt – ein echter Qualitätsfaktor. Das Ambiente ist modern, gemütlich und gleichzeitig bodenständig. Ideal für einen entspannten Abend, auch in größerer Runde. Preis-Leistung ist absolut stimmig und für das gebotene Niveau mehr als fair. Wer in Hemer und Umgebung richtig gute Rippchen essen will und Wert auf ein rundes Gesamtpaket legt, kommt am Mettgenpin nicht vorbei. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Ich fühle mich jedes Mal wie zu Hause, wenn ich im Mettgenpin bin. Die Betreiber und Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Das Essen schmeckt sehr gut und vor allem stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Wir waren heute Abend zum ersten Mal im Mettgenpin 1877 in Hemer und sind absolut begeistert! Schon beim Betreten hat uns die angenehme Atmosphäre überzeugt. Das gesamte Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Besonders schön fanden wir, dass beide Eigentümer persönlich an den Tisch kamen, um Fragen zu beantworten und sich Zeit für uns genommen haben. Man merkt sofort, mit wie viel Herzblut hier gearbeitet wird. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und der Abend bleibt definitiv in positiver Erinnerung. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Echt ein super Lokal. Das Ambiente ist modern und einladen! Ebenso einladend ist das herzliche Personal, sowohl die Bedienung als auch das Küchenpersonal sind einfach zuvorkommend und aufmerksam! Das Essen war auch super, hier und da fehlte für meinen Geschmack etwas Salz, aber das kann man ja noch selbst nachnehmen. Freue mich auf den nächsten Besuch!

Wir waren mit 7 Personen dort und wurden sehr herzlich begrüßt. Vorspeisen waren schnell am Tisch, das Hauptgericht hat etwas gedauert, war aber sehr sehr frisch gemacht. Einfach toll. Fürsorgliches Personal. Fragen zum Inventar und der Herkunft des Namens "Mettgenpin" wurden zufriedenstellend beantwortet. Wir kommen gerne bald wieder!

Tolle Optik des Essens, und schmecken tut's auch sehr gut 😋. Nur die Wartezeit könnte etwas kürzer sein. Der Gastraum ist sehr modern, sieht neu renoviert aus, schönes Ambiente!

Great place! In summer we love sitting in the authentic beer garden, otherwise we prefer the cozy interior. Yesterday we were there again for the spare ribs. The meat is so tender it falls right off the bone, and the glaze on the ribs is simply incredibly delicious. Very friendly and attentive staff. We're already looking forward to our next visit :-)

The modern and cozy atmosphere of Mettgenpin is immediately apparent upon entering. The food is consistently delicious, prepared with great attention to detail, and offered at fair prices. The staff is always friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming, family-like atmosphere. The restaurant is also ideally suited for celebrations. Whether it's a birthday or another event, the premises offer ample space, and the team ensures that you feel completely well looked after. All in all, a highly recommended restaurant that I gladly recommend and visit regularly.

We visited on a Thursday with our regular group and received a very warm welcome; we felt incredibly comfortable. As a parting gift, they gave us their delicious homemade liqueurs for free! It's also a fantastic place for private parties: a great party location for around 90 people. The food is delicious, the staff is super friendly, and the beer garden is top-notch!

I got the best, crispiest fried potatoes I've ever eaten in a restaurant – and the schnitzel was incredibly tender. Absolutely recommended.

We had our regular get-together at Mettgenpin again today. Not only the ambiance, but also the friendly waitress and the owner himself went to great lengths to make our evening enjoyable. Our food was particularly outstanding. Special requests were accommodated, the food arrived at the same time, and it tasted delicious. The "tasting rib" was especially superb. We've already booked a table for December to enjoy another lovely evening at Mettgenpin. It's definitely worth a visit. It's a shame I can only give five stars! Thank you!

We were there for a funeral coffee and were absolutely thrilled with the ambiance and service. We recently reserved a table for dinner with friends, and it was delicious, and the service was fantastic. We'd love to come back 😊

We regularly hold our regular get-together here. A hospitable atmosphere and freshly tapped Starnberger beer—what more could you want? The new dishes are top-notch. You can tell the kitchen puts a lot of thought into them. The ribs were so good, we ordered more—a definite recommendation.

I can no longer recommend this restaurant. They discriminate against political parties and their voters! This is an absolute no-go! I was a regular customer until the weekend (September 14th), but now they're on my list of places to stop!

One should not interfere in political matters..... There is a democracy in Germany (at least on paper). I will no longer go to a restaurant that is hostile to democracy!!!!

After seeing that they now want to exclude groups for political reasons, to take action against the exclusion of certain groups, I no longer feel like going there. Unprofessional.

Great restaurant with a lovely ambiance. The restaurant's interior is modern and tastefully decorated, with a beautiful forest beer garden – a real eye-catcher. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I also really enjoyed the food. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable visit.

Today was the first and last time I was there. The appetizer took 45 minutes, the main meal over an hour... The fries were cold, the ketchup was inedible, and the crust was swimming in grease... The waiters were already arguing about who owned which side of the beer garden as soon as we entered... It was a shame about the food, and we won't be coming back...

What a lovely place the old Mettgenpin was, for over 143 years. Quaint and cozy, with lots of charm and a consistently great atmosphere. It was also delicious and affordable. The Greeks completely transformed the Mettgenpin in 1877. Into what I consider a cool, stylish, and sterile bar. Where the prices are about 30% higher than before, the portions are smaller, and what's served isn't even better—quite the opposite. The service, specifically the speed and attentiveness, could be better. Unfortunately, there's no other beer garden like this in Hemer under old trees... Nevertheless, the new Mettgenpin isn't a place we'd visit again. Everything new simply meant too many things were worse for us than they were until 2020.

We were there today for the living room concert. There was a nice band playing, you could still have a good chat and the burgers were good. What more could you want 🙂. The service was also good, although it was a bit drabby due to the full beer garden. The staff was very nice and made up for the slightly longer wait for the food 👍. We will be happy to stop by again.

Were there today for the May dance. At first we were charged €11 for 2 x 0.3L Cola Zero, but when we asked it was “only” €7… When I later ordered another 1 Cola Zero & 1 water (again 0.3L each) with sparkling water and paid €7 again and when I asked I was told that a water actually costs €3.50 we then made our way home. By the way, the 0.3L beer only costs €3.30, as far as I know it is not legal that beer is cheaper than water. Nevertheless, the beer garden is very nice and generally a nice location. If you don't mind paying a lot of money for your drinks, you're in good hands here.

Yes definitely. A visit to the beer garden is always worth it. And we can only recommend the nice, cozy evenings at bingo or with nice music with Harry and his boys

Hello, yesterday we celebrated a birthday at Mettgenpin with 18 people. We felt very comfortable and were served very well. The food was super tasty and plentiful. It was a completely successful evening.

A big compliment to the Mettgenpin team... An excellent, cozy, yet modern atmosphere entices you to stay there... Food bomb, there's more than 5 star rating in it!! Thanks to the kitchen, they really rocked it even though the place was packed!!! The staff is consistently friendly and personable, from the counter to the service.... The restaurant has been lovingly renovated (after water damage). Modern and yet cozy. You can also eat small things and drink a delicious beer. Very nice service and a nice beer garden in the summer. An enrichment for Hemer.

At first I was surprised after the flood renovation at how modern it has become. Service, however, clumsy, overwhelmed temporary workers (family?). After we had already had our first round of drinks (group of 18 people) we were asked to move. I didn't order anything to eat and that was a good thing. Be it loveless, burnt tarte flambée, convenience food (schnitzel). Maybe I'll give a second chance to the beer garden alone or as a couple in the summer.

A nice restaurant and friendly and fast service. However, I was very disappointed that the veggie burgers on the menu - to my delight as a vegetarian - were not available! According to the waitress, they don't ask enough about it. Yes, then please don’t offer it!! The alternative was a not filling tarte flambée and half raw fries, which I also noted. There is still room for improvement.

Very good, newly renovated restaurant in the heart of Hemer. Run by a warm-hearted owner who takes time for his guests. When planning a celebration, she was very sensitive and imaginative in order to meet all of the guests' wishes. The food is fresh and deliciously prepared - the price-performance ratio is good. The service is very attentive and courteous. The newly designed interior is very tastefully decorated. Highly recommended!

There were 14 of us who had an appointment for a class reunion and we sat in a separate, nicely furnished room. Ideal for this purpose because there was a lot to talk about and we didn't bother anyone. There was also delicious food and friendly service - everything was perfect.

I was lucky enough to celebrate my 60th year at Mettgenpin 1877 and it was a great pleasure. Great location, great service and very tasty food. It was an unforgettable evening for me and my guests. The commitment of Poly, Laki and Theo and everyone involved exceeded all my expectations. The price was more than fair... I felt very comfortable and would love to come back to your traditional Hemeran restaurant with the most beautiful beer garden far and wide.

I was there as part of a networking event. The rooms are very attractive. We ate very well from the buffet. The gluten-free vegetarian lasagna was particularly praiseworthy. I will certainly eat here again in private.
