This Vietnamese restaurant is without a doubt one of my absolute favorite places in Berlin. What makes this restaurant so special is not just the delicious food, but above all the warm atmosphere. The family that runs the restaurant is incredibly kind and hospitable - you feel welcome from the first moment, as if you were visiting friends.

The authentic Bun Dau Mam Tom from Vietnam! In addition to many very authentic tasting dishes like in Hanoi, this dish in particular is very well prepared! The team is very friendly!

Very nice and small Vietnamese restaurant :) I have now tried almost half of all the dishes on the manageable menu and they were all very tasty - bowls, banh mi and breakfast. The service is great, courteous and very polite. Whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner, you can find a dish at any time of the day!

We were there for the first time because we had heard a lot of good things. Accordingly, our expectations were relatively high. The drinks were very cheap and the homemade lemonade was super good. We once had this platter for two people for €50. The food felt very much like home, like a little trip to Vietnam. The service was also very courteous and always had a smile. In total we paid €69 for 2 drinks (Cola 0.5L and a homemade lemonade), the platter for 2 people and 2 extra starters. The price here is around €20-30 per person. For people like me who like to eat a little more, just €10 more. We were very satisfied and would love to come back!

Best North Vietnamese Food in Berlin. Literally like in Vietnam. I am saying this as a Vietnamese. I dont get the negative reviews from some customers. Just because that you are not used to this part of vietnamese cuisine doesnt say anything about their quality. Everything is great and home made. As a cook I know how difficult and time consuming this is. The price is more than fair for what the lovely family is offering you.

Authentic Vietnamese cuisine awaits you here! This starts with the selection of dishes, which are not comparable to other 'Vietnamese' restaurants. We chose one of the menus for two to have a new experience and were not disappointed. Delicious and special, the homemade lemonades are also recommended. What is striking is that it is mainly people of Vietnamese origin who come here to eat, unlike other restaurants of this cuisine. Definitely give it a try 👍

As a European who has been to Vietnam, I can confirm that the food tastes very authentically delicious. We shared the mead plate together and really enjoyed every single homemade meatball, sausage and spring roll etc. We will definitely come back to Met on our next trip to Berlin.

A part of me want to gatekeep this place but that wouldn’t be right. This is 100% the best Vietnamese food I have had in Berlin. Echoing some previous comments, this is not a restaurant for entry level palates, if you are an European whose go to order is duck red curry and thinks Umami is an authentic place to dine, this is not that kind of restaurant.

I ate at Mệt today and was pleasantly surprised. The shop offers traditional Vietnamese dishes that immediately reminded me of my time in Vietnam. The dishes were excellently prepared and authentic in taste. Particularly noteworthy is the value for money: the portions were generous and the quality of the ingredients was very high. The friendly service and the pleasant atmosphere in the store rounded off the positive experience. For anyone who loves authentic Vietnamese cuisine or just wants to try something new, I highly recommend it. Definitely worth a visit

Try the bun cha! Sourness with the flavor of grilled barbecue just instantly makes the whole dish much richer. Eberswalder Strasse is right next to it. :)

Great restaurant with authentic Vietnamese food. If you would like to experience a short culinary trip to Vietnam, this is the perfect place for you. Many Vietnamese also go here because they miss the food in Vietnam.

Overall the taste was great, nothing to complain. But there are some issues that I need to address here is that we had to wait for more than 30 mins to have our meals although the restaurant had been opened for like 15 mins already and there is no toilet. Disclaimer: This part is only our own experience because I haven’t seen anyone having the same problems here. It is that after having the soup, my friend and I felt tired, thirsty with some migraine. you might say that it is because that day was very hot, but it was only 25 and sunny plus I have my hat on all the time. I took good amount of water, not sweating. After the meal, I instantly felt really sleepy, then had a light headache after like 30 mins and it kept being like that until the evening. At first I think that was because of the weather, maybe that day I was weaker than all the day before. Because normally if I have my hat on, I won’t have a headache like that. But then my friend also had the same problem with me but only later. She felt abnormally thirsty then tired, sleepy and probably had a migraine as well. I am not sure if that was because of the food or not. But the reaction is similar to having MSG. I know it is totally fine for using it here, my family use it too but very little each time. However, I just want to write here so you can consider before going to the restaurant, maybe to check with them. I haven’t asked them about it so please don’t base on it to not go to try the food because they actually taste good. Again, I just want to say that this experience is totally our own experience and I don’t know what are the ingredients in the food so I don’t know if that was because of the food or my friend and I just didn’t figure out what was the real cause of our same problem on that day.

Good Vietnamese. Have really good things on the menu. It's just a little more expensive than the competition, but it's worth a visit. Portions are also large and ingredients are freshly prepared, so it justifies the price. Employees are also very nice

Super authentic Vietnamese that you can only rarely find in this form in Berlin!

“Bún Đậu Mắm Tôm” by Mẹt is “Top Tier - 10 out of 10” not only in Berlin but also throughout Germany. Authentic drinks are also recommended: “Chanh day” or “Tra xa tac” Staff is nice and friendly. Now there is little space in winter.

If you like eating authentic Vietnamese street food, you've come to the right place! It's more of a small snack bar with benches inside and outside. The price is okay, drinks and appetizers are a bit pricey, but the quality is good. It's a shame that "Long" (blood sausage) is only available on weekends, I would have loved to try it. But the other dishes were very tasty. The service was very friendly. If I'm in Berlin again, I'll eat here again. Attention: Only cash payment possible! * Quán ngon, khá chuẩn vị Bắc, giá cả ok, anh chị nhân viên rất nhiệt tình, bạn nào muốn ăn lòng thì lưu ý cuối tuần mới nha :) các món khác cũng ngon lắm.

This restaurant is one of the best authentic Vietnamese restaurants in Berlin. There are various tapas but also platters. There are also noodle soups and curries. On the back of the card, various mix plates are offered, like in my picture. The food is just like you would find in Vietnam, which is why there are always a lot of Vietnamese here. As a native Vietnamese myself, I can say that it tastes absolutely like home. Various sauces such as: fish sauce, chili dip and fermented fish sauce are served with the mix platters. For Germans, the fermented sauce can seem intimidating because they are not familiar with it. It is only for connoisseurs. My boyfriend doesn't like the fermented sauce either, so he only eats the other ones. That still doesn't change his enthusiasm for the store. We are regulars and come here often. The owner is absolutely lovely and very attentive. We love coming here, recommend the restaurant to everyone and it is an absolute insider tip. :) Addendum: After 6 months the quality has even improved! I still love the restaurant. Every time I eat here, it brings me back to a piece of home far away. The Bun Cha tastes just like in Vietnam, if not better! The prices are completely reasonable. If you're looking for a cheap fast food restaurant, you've come to the wrong place. Here you can get high-quality, authentic Vietnamese dishes for a fair price.

I don't understand all the good reviews. The food is average. Unfortunately my meal had too much iceberg lettuce on it. I ordered a “homemade” iced tea with brewed black tea. It tasted like iced tea from Lidl bottles. It tasted sweet and artificial. I could see from the other guests that plastic bottles from Kaufland were being served. They hadn't even bothered to pour the bottles into glasses. So you could see Kaufland written on the drinks. The store itself is very overpriced. And given the high prices, they don't offer card payments. First of all I have to complain that they don't have guest toilets. A restaurant without toilets is definitely not for pregnant women or people with a weak bladder.

Wow! If you are looking for an authentic Vietnamese restaurant..come to Met. I have been looking for a long time in Berlin to find an authentic Vietnamese restaurant and with such a large Vietnamese I could never understand why but now I have. I had Vietnamese sausage for starter and the main was the star of the show with a grilled meatballs and bacon (speck)served with rice noodles and herb salad ..which had great flavours and cooked from the heart ❤️. There is a super good vegetarian menu as well if you are not liking the good choice of meat dishes. Staff are very nice and really appreciative of your custom. Cash only!! (I would usually rate lower for cash only restaurants but this is an exception).

Reviews seem wrong - made by a lot of little-used accounts with good photos (all with Vietnamese-looking names). We ate there based on the good reviews and were very disappointed. Food was bad, prices were very high - would definitely advise against it.

Very authentic food not available in many Vietnamese restaurants. So we came for the “Mam Tom” dish. A very intense sauce made from fermented shrimp is served with a mixed platter. People who don't know this might be put off by the smell/taste. We love the taste, but rarely cook it at home because some family members don't like the strong smell. So in the future we will simply come to the Met (Vietnamese for woven bowl on which the food is served) and eat “Mam Tom” here. I recommend calling the restaurant quickly during the week if you are planning your visit, as despite Tuesday evening we were only lucky enough to get one of the few (2-4?) seats after 8 p.m. The only suggestion for improvement: the soft drinks (e.g. iced tea) directly in the glass and not as a whole PET plastic bottle are sufficient for consumption on site.

I went to eat a full meal of vermicelli with tofu and shrimp paste and the kumquat tea at the restaurant was very delicious and abundant. The owner is friendly and accepts payment by cash or paypal. The restaurant is a bit small and after eating, the smell gets on your clothes.

Most authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Berlin. (North) Vietnamese food tastes like the stuff that they serve here, so if you really want to try, this is the place to go to!

Met isn't your typical flashy Asian fusion restaurant in Berlin. It's a bit on the smaller side, so finding a seat might require some luck, especially during peak hours. Since the place is small, it can a bit loud too. Anyway, forget about any fancy fusion food here, so the plates you can order are quite different from the other Vietnamese restaurants/Bistros. Here, it's all about authentic Vietnamese cooking. They don't have a huge menu. We saw many people order the big dish to share, but we didn't feel like having it. So we tried a couple of their rice noodle dishes, one in a steaming broth and the other supposed to mix with the sauce. Both were absolutely scrumptious! The flavors were fresh, balanced, and bursting with authenticity. It wasn't greasy or overwhelming, just pure Vietnamese goodness. Honestly, everything about Met felt genuine, from the food to the atmosphere. It's not fancy, but it's comfortable. We left feeling happy and satisfied, and we can't wait to go back and try something new next time.

Very good authentic Vietnamese, and the staff is very friendly. Price is reasonable in relation to the labor all the homemade items take. The 50 Euros platter can feed 3 ppl ez. Vietnamesische Essen hier ist echt super und das Personal mega freundlich. Der Preis geht auch klar, wenn man bedenkt, wie viel Arbeit in die hausgemachten Sachen gesteckt wird. Die 50-Euro-Platte reicht easy für 3 Leute.

베를린에서 이렇게까지 현지화 되지 않은 정통 베트남집은 처음이다. 일단 어느 베트남집에나 있는 일반적인 쌀국수는 없다. 소세지 종류가 다양한데 전부 직접 만든다고 한다. 베스트 메뉴는 예상치 못하게 분짜다. 오리지널(?)이라고 할 수 있는 분짜 하노이가 고기에서 불향도 많이 나고 맛있다. 1번 소세지 메뉴부터 독일에서는 처음 먹어보는 맛이었다. 직접 만든 소세지를 튀겨 나오는 건데 맛도 향도 아주 좋았다. 14번 메뉴는 국물부터 한 입 먹고 놀랄 정도로 맛있고 시원하고 깔끔했다. 돼지고기도 냄새도 안 나고 아주 맛있는데, 표고버섯 비슷한 버섯이 들어간 미트볼은 그 버섯 특유의 역한 냄새 때문에 먹을 수가 없었다. 마지막엔 국물에도 그 향이 녹아 들어가서 먹기 힘들어졌다. 가장 궁금했던 건 순대. 따뜻한 국물이 있는 면요리였는데 허파(?)랑 선지까지 나왔다. 국물은 먹자마자 감탄이 나오는 맛. 잠깐 순댓국인 줄 알았다. 순대랑 선지가 아주 맛있었다. 다만, 허파는 고무 씹는 것처럼 너무 질기고 특별한 맛이 나지 않아서 많이 남겼다. 홈메이드 음료도 살짝 달지만 아주 맛있다. 음식이 전반적으로 짜지 않은 게 좋았다. 테이블이 좁아서 살짝 불편할 수 있고, 레스토랑보단 임비스 분위기다. 주방 가장자리에서 바람이 나와서 그런지 음식이 금방 식는 것도 조금 아쉬웠다. 하지만 이런 곳은 어쩌면 베를린에서 유일한 곳이 아닐지.

Top. It is just like „bún đậu mắn tôm” i ate in Hanoi. All are authentic, homemade. shrimp paste, fried sausage, nem, pork meat all are delicious. Love it. Highly recommend the Met menu for 2 (50€). If shrimp paáte, intestine are abit too much for you, they have many other options like bún chả, bún thịt nướng, etc. (I will try them next time). Menu with picture. If YOU ARE European, please read my review before you decide to go to this restaurant. As I saw some people dissapointed from their food, and saw what they ordered there, I would say it's a big mistake. DON'T order "bun dau" if you're just curious and you can't handle the stinky shrimp paste (which is our authentic sauce to dip with). Without knowing what it's or never tried before, this dish will be boring AF for you (fried tofu, some rolls and cold pork meat). I usually go there for authentic Vietnamese northern foods, it's hardcore: intestines porridge,... They make it very good. _ So, what do I recommend for you guys? Try the fish noodle suppe (fish ball and vegetable in a hot broth) or "bun cha", very delicous and homemade quality.

We like to try new things, new places, every time that we have occasion to do it. We went here following the other reviews all excellent, but in the end we didn't like it! 🫤We tried the main plate for 2, which cost 40€ and was not so big. I don't know the Vietnamese cuisine from that side of Vietnam, but if it is that one, it's not for me.

They are currently changing the menu so whatever you order is very random, and even with this big creational freedom, nothing was tasty. Servis was ok, and stuff was really polite, but it was way overpriced for the actual taste.

Given the extremely positive reviews, we decided to try this place out. I have to say that I am no expert in northern Vietnamese food, but for me this was border line inedible. We tried the plate for 2 called Met Boom Dau. The rice noodles are served in small sticky squares, but cold, which is a no go. The fried meat and tofu was nothing special and the pork slices were also cold and the fat is just there, it’s not crispy or marinated and I found this quite disturbing. The salad is mostly mint, which again I found odd. Plus the salad has no dressing. The whole plate was dry and mostly cold. If all this weren’t enough, the plate was 40€, which would have been too much even if it had been good. Again, maybe this is how this kind of food is meant to be served and eaten, but I really didn’t like it. One other detail, there is no toilet.

If you're ever craving a taste of mom home cooked Vietnamese foods or just some extra deliciousness, this is the place to be, no doubt about it, for me tho! And trust me, you'll never be disappointed. We've always got yummy foods that'll make our taste buds dance, and the hosts? Miss Lyn~~ she is absolutely lovely! It's definitely become my go-to spot every weekend!!! 😋🍽️

Authentic and absolutely delish! Highly recommend the Mẹt dishes

This place serves delicious authentic northern Vietnamese food that is hard to find in Berlin. I had the signature Met from Lyn that comes with assorted goodies (fried Vietnamese sausage, meatballs, grilled meat), fresh herbs and sauces. One of the sauce is made from shrimp paste, oil and chilis. Adding squeeze of lemon in it and mix to create the most umami funky flavor bomb that compliments the fried food so well. The people working there was friendly and welcoming. They were surprised that we asked for more shrimp paste sauce and were more than happy to top us up. I’ll definitely return to try their other dishes. And I highly highly recommend to visit this place before it gets too popular because I know it would!

I've lived for 3 years in Vietnam, and I'm so happy that I finally found a place that serves authentic Vietnamese food! Here you get something much more similar to what you'd get in Hanoi than anywhere else in Berlin. Just notice the amount of Viet customers that they always have. Fantastic taste.
