Super delicious food. The service was very hectic. As soon as a plate was empty, it was practically ripped from the table and carried away at lightning speed without even asking if you could take it with you. It felt like a train station. The drink bottles, on the other hand, remained lined up on the table until just before you paid. A meal you ordered would be completely forgotten. We sat outside in a heated tent. Plastic tables and chairs with simple seat cushions (they could use some updating; they weren't the prettiest or most comfortable anymore). All in all, I've eaten better there.

I lived in Spain for a few years and was really looking forward to the tapas. However, it was rather disappointing. The restaurant didn't have a special ambiance, and the quality of the food was average to mediocre. Overall, it was very greasy and lacking in flavor, but very expensive. The sangria was terrible; you could probably get something more decent at the worst bar in Ballermann. In any case, we won't be coming back. However, the service was very friendly.

We went to Mera Tapas with a couple of friends and unfortunately had to leave the restaurant dissatisfied. First, the positive: the ambiance is very inviting. However, I have to raise a few criticisms regarding the service and food. Items were forgotten with both the drinks and the food orders, and we had to ask several times to make sure everything was complete. Furthermore, the food didn't arrive at the same time; the tapas were occasionally brought over a period of 30-40 minutes. First, I have to say about the food that the restaurant is rather expensive. Furthermore, the descriptions on the menu did not match the food served. For example, we ordered empanadas, but contrary to our expectations, we were served two strips of pastry. These were extremely tasty and also extremely greasy. Overall, not good value for money. Accordingly, I cannot recommend the restaurant.

One of the best restaurants in town! We often eat here as a couple, and it's our absolute favorite. In true Spanish style, they like to use garlic, which is exactly our taste :)

Great little restaurant with very friendly staff and authentic food – but you should definitely make a reservation! The split into indoor/outdoor/tent areas means it's not too noisy, and you can easily have a conversation. The value for money is good. The food arrived quickly and hot. Keep up the good work!

Unfortunately, we didn't have a pleasant evening at Mera Tapas ☹️ The restaurant itself is attractively decorated. We sat in the outdoor tent, and the ambiance was fine there, too. While the service was friendly, some items from our order were forgotten and only brought after repeated requests. In general, the tapas bowls arrived individually, about 5-10 minutes apart. The taste wasn't convincing either, and some of them didn't match the description on the menu... The prices are, in my opinion, significantly too high (€3 for ONE bacon-wrapped date?!). A real disappointment...

I've never been so disappointed with a restaurant visit. Unfortunately, nothing here was quite right. Our reservation was kept, and our service was more or less friendly, but that was it. Some of the dishes don't live up to the description. For example, an empanada is described as a golden-brown baked pastry case, and they serve several small, greasy, flat bites that are more reminiscent of a piece of cake and, to my mind, have nothing to do with an empanada. They also serve pisto, but it's more like a type of salsa, with little to no noticeable texture from the vegetables. The tortilla was served with a liquid center, as described, but unfortunately had no flavor, and the eggy smell that came through when cutting it was rather unappealing. My comments to the server were ignored, so we didn't start any further discussions. I lived in Spain for a long time and ate authentic tapas in various regions, but this didn't impress me at all. I don't have anything negative to say about the prices; other tapas restaurants are also more expensive, so overall, it's OK. I don't think we'll be coming here again; I certainly don't understand the positive reviews.

The best oktopus. You can taste the fresh ingredients and the quality of the Tapas. The servicea really good and happiness. The environment is really cozy and very Spanish.

Really good tapas, but I've had better ones, sometimes a bit too expensive. We would have liked to have had several tapas at the table at the same time, but somehow the next one always arrived only when one was almost empty. The service was still good, though. Thank you.

Very good cocktails! The food is good; I liked the steaks with potatoes and pimentos the best. Everything else was a bit tasteless – a lot of oil is normal, but the empanadas weren't good at all; they only tasted of onions, not at all of tuna, and were very mushy. 120 euros for two is quite a lot, but tapas are generally expensive. I'd prefer a steak and fish restaurant.

A very good selection of tapas, including plenty of vegetarian options, and of course, classics like jamón, rabas, etc. There's also a small selection on the daily specials menu, which is also worth checking out. We would come back anytime!

Actually, it deserves 3.5 stars. The aioli and mushrooms weren't good. The bread is very expensive, and the steak wasn't great either. However, the service was exceptionally friendly, and the ambiance was beautiful on a summer evening. The sangria, however, was more than good, and there are exciting daily tapas.

The food was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. There are a lot of choices for both food and alcohol. You will not be disappointed!

Despite initial reservation issues (we had reserved inside in case of bad weather), we found a solution and were able to stay. The service was, as always, very friendly and accommodating. The food came super quickly, and all the tapas were truly delicious. Overall, it was a very authentic Spanish meal. I've eaten at Mera Tapas several times over the past year and have always left satisfied. In my opinion, it's still an insider tip in Würzburg.

It was so perfect that I forgot to take any photos. Great location, super friendly and accommodating team. Since we couldn't decide, we left it up to the team, and from A for eggplant to R for beef fillet, it was a delight. We'll be back!

The food tastes good, but the point of tapas shouldn't be that each bowl arrives individually, 20 minutes apart, or only upon request. The service sometimes seems very unmotivated, and the ambiance is okay, but nothing more. Taste or no taste, I imagine something different when it comes to a pleasant tapas evening with friends.

Wonderful restaurant, delicious food, and a very pleasant atmosphere! Spanish music plays the whole time, and the service is very friendly. We had the paella (for two), and the portion was definitely adequate. We were pleasantly full, but we also managed to try a few tapas. If you're looking for authentic Spanish food, this is definitely the place!

Super delicious. Unfortunately, you have to order paella the day before, so we couldn't order that. But the tapas were excellent, as was the service. I've never had good croquetas before, but these were unbelievably good.

The restaurant is conveniently located in the heart of the city, near the parking garage and the arcade, but the outdoor area is still beautifully designed and relatively quiet. A very authentic restaurant and staff. An evening like in Spain.

A huge thank you goes out to the MeraTapas team. We had a magical evening in a wonderful atmosphere. We sat outside in a heated tent. The tent wasn't intrusive, as the decor was very attractive and harmonious. The waiters were all super friendly, we were given advice, and they regularly checked on us to see if we had any further requests. The food was simply amazing. It was like being on vacation. I was immediately reminded of my vacations in Spain. We had olives, salad, baguette, giant prawns, octopus and prawns, two croquettes, and mussels. Everything was of excellent quality. This justifies the price. The two of us paid €100. With our meal, we also had two glasses of wine and two homemade iced teas, which were also very tasty, and an espresso (that was the only thing that wasn't so good—but that's a matter of taste). There is a two-hour time slot, which was sufficient for us. Because we were quite spontaneous, we got a table at 8:45 p.m. The kitchen closes at 10:00 PM, which we were informed of in advance so we could possibly order something. We left after about an hour and a half, happy and satisfied, and we'll definitely be back. Thank you for this great restaurant.

Meeresfrüchte nicht frisch, bei angeblich frisch zubereiteten frischen Tapas…. Wir werden dort nicht mehr hingehen! Wirklich nicht zu empfehlen, da die Bedienung auch keine Ahnung von spanischer Küche hat, wenn man fragt oder eine Empfehlung möchte …

Klein en net tapas restaurant. De bediening is allervriendelijkst. De kaart biedt voldoende variatie. We namen de gamba's (heerlijk maar wel pittig), de albondigas (prima), de patatas brave (heerlijk), brood, inktvisringen (niet te eten zo taai) en tenslotte e croquettas con jamon (helaas nooit gekregen). We bespraken de inktvisringen met de ober en hij gaf toe dat ze van leverancier gewisseld waren en dat al meer mensen geklaagd hadden over de kwaliteit. Jammer dus, dat je dat als kok niet meteen aanpakt. Ansich niet slecht gegeten, maar wel een paar kleine onnodige foutjes.

You feel like you're stretching. The tabs are casual. THE selection is small but very good. And I think it's very good to make things come from tension. So I will come more often

Sometimes evenings should never end. That's what happened yesterday at Mera Tapas, because everything was perfect with authentic Spanish food, excellent Rioja and attentive, friendly service. The four of us shared several tapas, which were served quickly and hot. The wine recommendation was excellent, we had a bottle of Crianza with our meal and then switched to the Marqués de Cáceres Excellens Cuvée to end the evening with Crema Catalana and churros. In winter we prefer to sit inside, but in summer we prefer to sit on the terrace. It is advisable to always make a reservation in good time, because although central, Mera Tapas is a bit hidden, but is usually full and fully booked. A real alternative for a culinary break in a Spanish restaurant in the middle of Würzburg. If you are traveling with a larger group, you should definitely order a paella in advance, it is excellent and can also be easily shared together. We're already looking forward to the next time: pa' arriba, pa' abajo, pa' centro, pa' dentro 🍷

Manchmal sollten Abende nie zu Ende gehen. So geschehen gestern bei Mera Tapas, weil rundum perfekt mit authentisch spanischem Essen, ausgezeichnetem Rioja und einem aufmerksamen, freundlichen Service. Wir hatten uns zu viert mehrere Tapas geteilt, die schnell und heiß serviert wurden. Die Weinempfehlung war hervorragend, zum Essen hatten wir eine Flasche Crianza und sind danach auf den Marqués de Cáceres Excellens Cuvée umgestiegen, um den Abend mit Crema Catalana und Churros ausklingen zu lassen. Im Winter sitzen wir bevorzugt innen, dafür im Sommer wiederum lieber auf der Terasse. Es empfiehlt sich, immer rechtzeitig zu reservieren, denn obwohl zentral, ist Mera Tapas doch etwas versteckt, aber meist voll und ausgebucht. Eine echte Alternative für eine kulinarischen Auszeit in einem spanischem Restaurant mitten in Würzburg. Wer in größerer Runde unterwegs ist, sollte unbedingt eine Paella (dazu) vorbestellen, diese ist hervorragend und lässt sich ebenfalls gut zusammen teilen. Wir freue uns schon auf das nächste Mal: pa‘ arriba, pa‘ abajo, pa‘ centro, pa‘ dentro 🍷

The food was quite tasty, but we sat outside in a kind of tent, which in my opinion is not designed for autumn or winter temperatures, we were freezing while we ate and the tent is very simple, you think you're staying with a friend I think you can expect more for the fact that you get charged for the baguette with the food you ordered. All in all, the food was good and the service was also ok, but the prices were extremely high.

I've been here several times. My wife likes the Sangria. The food tastes really good! This time we sat at the small table by the door, and there's a lot of traffic there. Busy as always. The chocolate cake was delicious. Can only recommend this place.

Das Essen war dib dob, wirklich frisch! Ein Verbesserungsvorschlag wäre der Zusatz eines Zettels, auf welchem die Gäste ankreuzen können, welche Tapas sie Essen wollen. Trotz dessen hat bei den Bestellungen alles gut geklappt!

As a big lover of Spain, I was very excited about the popular tapas restaurant. Unfortunately, the feeling in the restaurant could only be felt in the form of the music. We sat at a table that could use some Spanish accessories. It was all quite minimalistic. That was my feeling. The bread with allioli came before the drinks were there. The prawns in oil were very tasty. The meal with patatas and pimientos and 2 slices of meat was ok. The meat was very tender and well seasoned. Unfortunately the patatas had almost no salt. The goat cheese on vegetables was so-so. The vegetable patch below was little, almost cold. I know the Albondigas are very tasty in a tomato sauce. I often ate and cooked myself in Spain. What was brought to the table was a joke. 4 small mini balls, unseasoned on a dollop of tomato sauce. I complained nicely about this. Unfortunately, I had the feeling that I wasn't being taken seriously. No apology and it was charged in full. €7.90. The front half of the menu consisted of drinks, then came the food. The note on the first page that the dishes are brought one after the other should definitely have been included with the dishes. However, this is just a suggestion. A very nice waiter served us. I paid 83 euros for 2 people. I'll leave it like that.

We went here based on TA reviews. Service was very friendly and we had a selection of 7 tapas between us. All was very good apart from the croquettes - they were meant to be Jamon croquettes but I’m sure they’d forgotten to put any jamon in as they tasted of nothing at all. Sadly my husband had eaten two of the four before I tried any so it was too late to send them back. Shame as that’s my favourite dish normally! Everything else very good!

The location is really cool. The service staff were also very nice. The paella was very, very tasty. Unfortunately, the tapas were all very salty in taste. It was also a shame that they all came with a very large time lag. The cocktails were a disaster. Even though we returned them and asked for improvement, they didn't taste much better. The prices are definitely too expensive, especially the starter plate! Overall, the paella and the nice service staff made up for it.

I found it particularly great that the tapas didn't come all at once, but in small, regular intervals. This meant we could chat in peace and really take our time with each dish. My absolute favorite? The meatballs in tomato sauce – they were simply amazing! 😍 The ambience was also great. It was warm, inviting and reminded us all of the social evenings in Spain. The service? Great! Super friendly and attentive, but never intrusive. This just makes you feel good. Unfortunately a disaster. Unfortunately the order was forgotten and then only part of it was served. What came was mostly tasty, but was served one at a time, so eating together was not possible. Unfortunately the tortilla was still raw and cold in the middle. When we asked the waitress about it, we were told that it was the northern Spanish version and that's how it should be. Unfortunately there was no apology, the plates were cleared even though some were not yet ready and the table was then ignored. No asking if anyone wanted dessert, a coffee or something else to drink.
