The meat was incredible (seriously Argentinian), the place was very nice, and the service was superb! They could improve the vegetables a lot. My dish was supposedly Argentinean, but the sauce and vegetables were German, not Argentinian... I would go back, but I would love for them to improve the side dishes.

I have a wonderful experience here every time I visit. The staff is lovely and friendly, they speak many languages and have their menu in both German and English. The food is very delicious. The price is justified by the presentation and good quality. Seating options available in different settings, lovely atmosphere, a brisk walk from the station. The wait time is short for food and seating.

The staff at Restaurant Mendoza is very friendly and helpful, which immediately creates a pleasant atmosphere. We were served fresh bread with a delicious dip beforehand, which was a pleasant surprise. We opted for the platter for two people. The portion was absolutely generous—definitely more than enough. The steaks were grilled to perfection, juicy, and tasted truly outstanding. One small disappointment, however, was the vegetables: They were frozen, which unfortunately is noticeable in the taste. For a meal that costs around €82, we would have preferred fresh vegetables. Perhaps less would have been more here—a slightly smaller portion, but with high-quality, fresh side dishes, would have significantly improved the overall impression. Then there would probably have been room for dessert. All in all, a restaurant with friendly service and very good steaks, but there's still room for improvement in the side dishes department.

We visited Mendoza for the first time in years. The first thing we noticed was the musty smell in the restaurant, which was also evident in the menus. The decor has obviously not changed in what felt like 30 years... This really spoiled our stay. The restaurant is overcrowded, which doesn't make for a pleasant evening. The steak and side dishes were okay - the food was good value for money!

We had reserved a table at Mendoza. Unfortunately, my wife wasn't feeling well, so we could only order one dish and even had to pay early. The waitress was very attentive and even gave my wife a bottle of water for the way home! Now that's what I call service! Thank you so much for that – it was a great help. The food was very good, by the way – we'll be back, hopefully with more time to enjoy it!

A truly great steakhouse! The food was delicious. The portions are very generous; you'll definitely be full here. I would also like to particularly highlight the friendly and attentive service – our server was super nice and always available without being intrusive. Today, my wings took me to the Argentinian steakhouse Mendoza in Gütersloh – a place I know well from the past and always enjoy visiting. For starters, I had a small salad and a fresh salad from the buffet, which you can put together to your liking. Everything was wonderfully fresh, crisp, and delicious. The service? Fast, attentive, and extremely friendly – ​​just what you'd want. For the main course, I ordered a bife de lomo (fillet steak, medium) and an entrecôte, also medium. The meat was cooked to perfection, tender, juicy, and of outstanding quality – a real highlight! Yes, this restaurant is rustic, and yes, it may not appeal to everyone, but this steakhouse is something of a historic gem in Gütersloh. For over 35 years, they've been serving the locals with the finest cuisine. The steaks are top-notch, and the service is first-class. I can understand why they don't want to tear anything down, as it adds a certain charm to the restaurant and its history. We always enjoy coming here!

Super delicious, super friendly staff. I haven't eaten this well in a long time.

Steak was great! But with little effort you can make it look pretty. For example, new menu cards. Not these sheets inserted in foil that have now been glued together. Simple clipboard with pretty cards. And when they are worn out, print out new ones. You can do it yourself and it's cheap. The bread baskets are no longer pretty to look at either. Simply beautiful, coarsely woven wicker baskets or a slate plate. I would offer the vegetables seasonally instead of frozen. Would be more authentic. And if a waitress took care of assigned tables instead of everyone coming and asking if everything was OK, it wouldn't be so annoying 😉. It looks outdated and would benefit from a little bit of freshening up.

A typical steakhouse, everything was very tasty. Only 4 stars because if you swap croquettes for fries or broccoli for beans you pay an extra charge, I don't think that's any extra effort and should be a service. Calculate extra portions, of course.

The service was very friendly and attentive. So the atmosphere was generally good. The food, especially the meat, was also noticeably of good quality. However, two things marred the experience. 1. Were the steaks, even the beef fillet, pre-salted...and not too skimpy! For me it's an absolute "no go" for high quality beef (which also has a reasonable price here). 2. A special piece of meat was ordered "well done" and it came "rare". It was redone very nicely and without any problems, but it's not so nice when everyone has their food and only one thing has to be completely redone. Sometimes things like this happen, but in our case it's not 100 percent convincing for a first impression.

Not recommended for gourmets! If you want to get frozen vegetables and tetra pack sauces with preservatives and flavor enhancers for a really high price, you've come to the right place. The meat wasn't asked whether medium, rare or well done was desired and it wasn't juicy either. If you want to eat really delicious lamb, get the lamb from Aldi, it tastes delicious. If you really want to get special quality, fresh vegetables and juicy Argentinian-style meat, go to Argentinia in Bielefeld. This review is based on experience and a discerning palate.

I had a rump steak with mushrooms and actually gratinated potatoes but they were replaced with croquettes. The rump steak was of good quality and was properly cooked. I didn't like the scalloped potatoes, I had imagined them differently. In return I got croquettes in exchange, which was kind. I really enjoyed the mushrooms and were well seasoned. The herb butter was ok. The service was good and very friendly. What I found unfortunate was the drink selection. She was big but not that good actually. Overall it was ok.

The absolute best steak I've ever eaten and I've traveled a lot around the world. So juicy and tender. The service was totally polite and nice, something that is rarely seen. The atmosphere is a bit rustic but I think it has its own flair. I think running a restaurant for over 35 years means something. Something historic in Gütersloh. By the way, they are also the cleanest toilets I have ever experienced in one place Restaurant. Thank you for the lovely evening ♥️ we'll be back.

The desired skewer was ordered medium rare, but unfortunately it arrived well-done. The skewer would be made again without any problems, it would at least be medium. I was supposed to eat the side dishes until they were eaten, of course, or cold when the replacement skewer arrived. The whole dish could have been made fresh here. Overall, the dishes were average for a steakhouse (there were five of us). There is still clearly room for improvement.

I called there today and actually wanted to reserve a table. I was told to wait on the phone for a moment. After 4 minutes and a few staff discussions, an employee spoke badly to someone else about the guests there. After more than 5 minutes, I didn't want to listen to it any further, especially the choice of words, and hung up. I will not support such treatment of the guest!

Service is indescribably good, professional, friendly and very nice. Keep it up! The steaks were excellent. Addendum: I was unfortunately very disappointed the last two times. The steaks were not medium rare, but medium plus. After being seated next to a strange couple at the same table on Valentine's Day, it was unfortunately my last time there :( a shame.

We were there for lunch and I had fillet steak 200g with princess beans and pepper sauce. The meat was very good, although not cooked to my level of doneness. (As is often the case in the restaurant, it was too busy) I ordered medium rare and it was served medium plus. But not so bad because the meat quality was worth 5 stars. So good that the sauce didn't even need to be. Beans needed a little more oomph. Would I come back: yes. By the way, we sat on the nice outside terrace.

Very nice staff and extremely good food. Interior a bit gaucho style but cozy and clean. The grill master conjures up the steaks... and everything else on a charcoal grill, which you can taste and see when you go to the place. Get a table for two even without a reservation.

We tried several times to get a table at Mendoza, but unfortunately everything was always full. For our anniversary we finally made an early reservation and got a table. The ambience is nice and cozy, we particularly like the style. The staff are very nice and friendly, they were welcomed and served very hospitably. Order was taken quickly, we just had to wait a little longer for the main course. Plates are beautifully arranged and you immediately feel hungry. We were very enthusiastic about the food, it was very tasty and everything was as requested. I would happily recommend it and we would love to come back again and again.

Very poor service. Apparently people cannot handle criticism. The lady who served was very unfriendly and made us feel as if we were dealing with an angry teacher at school. After a criticism, the owner simply walked away from our table with a snide remark. Downright bad! We had a fantastic experience here last year, but it has been heavily overshadowed by this disappointment. We will never go here again.

Aber 76,-€ für eine Platte für 2 Personen, auf der (laut Karte) 600 gr. Fleisch sind, Pommes und, Achtung: TK-Gemüse - das ist echt heftig!! Funfact: Für Ketchup und Majo mussten wir sogar extra zahlen! Kann man nicht erwarten, dass das bei 76 Ocken mit drin ist...🤷 Mit einem kl. Bier, einem Glas Wein, 2 Alstern (Flasche...) und 2 Espresso sind wir bei knapp 100,- € gelandet... Hallooooo??? Hätte ich nicht einen Geburtstagsgutschein gehabt, hätte ich das nie bestellt... Hätte alles zusammen 76,-€ gekostet, würde ich sagen: Teuer, aber gut - OK, TK-Gemüse, so what... Aber über 96,-€??? Nee, Leute... Dafür mach ich so ein Essen demnächst zu Hause selber - aber 2 Mal und mit ner ganzen Pulle Wein!! Und Ketchup und Majo sind auch mit drin☝️ Wenn Essen gehen weiter so extravagant teuer bleibt, muss sich die Gastronomie nicht wundern, wenn die Kunden zu Hause bleiben... Isso.

Wir hatten eine Platte für zwei Personen für 76 €. Das Fleisch (p.P. 3 kl. St.) war wie gewünscht zubereitet und sehr lecker. Die Beilagen wie das Gemüse (Brokkoli, Kaisergemüse, Prinzessbohnen) und die Pommes waren TK-Ware mit einer Art Hollandaise Sauce (nicht selbstgemacht). Die 3 Sterne gibt es für das leckere Fleisch. Insgesamt passte uns das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht.

Ein alteingesessenes Steakhaus in Gütersloh. Sehr gute Staks, guter Service und gemütliche Einrichtung. Parkplatz 2 Minuten entfernt.

Essen war ganz gut, nette Bedienung. Nur leider wegen grosser WF-Gruppen sehr laut. Unangenehm war Zuhause dann, dass die komplette Kleidung extrem nach Steakhaus roch und in die WM musste und wir unter die Dusche.

Das " BESTE STEAK " in Gütersloh . Salatbar mit großer Auswahl . Service TOP - keine langen Wartezeiten auf Getränke oder Essen. Das ganze Service-Team ist freundlich. Tischreservierung sollte man beachten . Wo es gut schmeckt ist auch zwangsläufig öfter gut besucht . 5 Sterne für das Mendoza !

Das Essen war sehr lecker, die Beratung und Bedienung war ausführlich und freundlich. Auf explizite Wünsche wurde vollständig eingegangen. Alles ist möglich wenn man freundlich miteinander spricht. Ein erneuter Besuch steht außer Frage.

Das Ambiente gefiel uns sehr gut. Das Essen war außergewöhnlich gut und das Personal war aufmerksam und freundlich.
