As in previous years, pizza is still very good. Special atmosphere. We were also warmly welcomed. We would be happy to come back.

That was NOTHING... Ordered takeaway last night. That was nothing at all... - Carpaccio: the meat was gray, the parmesan was hard and sweaty... - Antipasti Mista: carelessly thrown onto a plate, tomatoes looked like they had just been thrown on top. Price/performance below ground at 15€, seemed like it came straight from the discount plastic packaging to the plate... - Pizzas tasted ok, but were already under the heat lamp, even though we were there well before the time to pick them up... All in all, not nice to look at, not tasty and really too expensive… It was better there and we certainly won't come back... you get a lot more for the same expensive money elsewhere!

It's a shame, the food used to be very good and the service was worse than bad, today it's the other way around, unfortunately.

On a Wednesday evening, six of us were able to sit in the great, rustic rooms without a reservation. We had an English speaker in our group, which was absolutely no problem with the service. The orders were taken in optimal English. After not a long wait, our drinks arrived and shortly afterwards the pizzas. Everything was super tasty. A great visit to a beautiful restaurant with delicious food and very friendly service.

It was much better. From a pizza with seafood, I expect seafood and not just a few strips of squid and a few canned scampis. Apart from the two mentioned there was nothing on the pizza, no mussels, no small squid. I can probably expect that for €15.80. It's a shame, I won't eat there anymore.

My wife invited me to your first wedding anniversary because she always went to Meistehaus Essen as a child. Of course the operator is no longer from 1990, but thanks to our childhood memories we were happy to take up the offer. The food was okay so far and I find places like this super interesting. There is a story in the house. But people, your toilet is worse than a toilet at Frankfurt train station. The hygiene in the toilet is zero. A quick look into the more or less open kitchen wasn't exactly exciting either. What can you do there? Is it operational blindness here? I will definitely come back and try your pizza, which unfortunately wasn't available that day, and rewrite my review. But that was definitely a zero number. Afterwards, I had people from Unna tell me that they recommended something else. That can't be the case and I personally wouldn't let it happen. Been there again for a long time. It used to be pretty tasty. Well, was is the right word. The pizza was more edge than everything else and the topping (tuna onion) was a solid 4- at a price of €15.50. Incredibly bad. You had to be quick to get something to drink. Otherwise the waitresses had disappeared again. Waited more than 15 minutes for a beer. Food came after over an hour. Conclusion: Never again, and I advise that to everyone….

An idyll near the center with great food, friendly and attentive service and definitely worth a visit!

Good evening We waited 25 minutes for our first drinks this evening. The main course took 2 hours to arrive and was totally over salted. So if you like to wait a long time for your drinks or food. Or likes to eat extremely salty foods and with blunt knives. It's exactly right in the Meisterhaus.

Purely by chance, we were in the beer garden. A quiet, beautiful spot. Food was good, once spagetti, once pizza and salad. Everything was lovingly done and sufficient.

After years I gave it another try. This time outside in the nice beer garden. Unfortunately the food hasn't gotten any better. The lasagne was greasy from the amount of cheese and barely edible.

The two stars are only there because the pizza was really good. Everything else is catastrophic. Four of us only ordered pizza and drinks, no starters. The pizza came over 1.5 hours later. The reason for the whole thing was that there was currently only one pizza baker. Regular customers who came after us had already finished three courses when our food finally arrived. Unfortunately, we weren't given the opportunity to order any more drinks throughout the evening

The master house has lost its master! I'm shocked at how much quality it has lost within a year, but at the same time the prices have increased by 50%. Prices doubled and quality halved within a year. This is really a masterpiece in a negative sense. And we as Unnarans have been eating there regularly for over 15 years. Until a year ago we were enthusiastic about the restaurant and I used to rave about it. Unfortunately that has now changed and I definitely do not recommend it. Management should rethink their concept and hire more staff. Currently far too few waiters, far too few cooks. If you charge 18€ for a pizza, an appropriate number of staff should probably be realistic, because according to the waiters they are overwhelmed by the number of guests. "Staff shortage" only occurs if you only pay your staff minimum wage or simply paid too little. The quality of the food depends on the staff a restaurant has, make sure your staff feels comfortable with you and you won't be lacking! Another complaint is that there are no vegan main dishes. In general there are “only” 3 mini side dishes as a vegan version. That's not up to date these days. We are very disappointed with this development and will no longer eat there.

Disappointed for the second time! At 8:45 p.m. they no longer accept guests who still want to eat pizza, even though it is open until 10 p.m. The food may be good, but we won't be seen like this again. A pity.

Meisterhaus opens very unreliably. On Sundays it is stated from 12 p.m. but the oven and dough are not yet ready so it is only really open from 1 p.m. I recommend that everyone order/go only 1-2 hours after the stated opening time.

I had white wine spritzer and saltimbocca: The drink barely tasted like wine, the panini were probably two days old, the vegetables tasted musty, the meat would have been fine if it hadn't been over-salted. Since I was no longer satisfied with my last visit, the Meisterhaus is no longer my preferred place to go when I'm back in my old home.

Excellent food - best pizza in the Ruhr area

As an old Unna resident, I come here every now and then. The food is (mostly) great. But unfortunately there are 1st and 2nd class guests here. Regular guests who came after us got their food 1/2 hour faster. Or you are asked to change tables because the “important” people from Unna absolutely have to sit at my table. Maybe I'll try it again in a year. Although, what should change? After all, I've been having these experiences for decades.

Nothing masterful in the Meisterhaus. The staff was friendly but also completely overwhelmed. Yes, it was full, but drinks were rarely brought and were also wrong. Food was average and overall any fast food restaurant would have been a better choice. A pity!

I have known the Meisterhaus for many years and have always been quite satisfied. However, today I had one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life. I waited 2 hours for my food, ox cheeks. Unfortunately there was a generous estimate of maybe 100g of meat, along with a few completely dried out rosemary potatoes and mushy cooked vegetables. The dish was a disgrace and the service tried to excuse it by saying that the kitchen was poorly staffed. There was no accommodation whatsoever.

I ordered 2 pizzas for home from the take-out window there. The preparation time was very quick and the taste was very good. What I didn't like was the fact that I ordered a pizza with, among other things, an egg, and that apparently means that they put an egg cut in half on the pizza. Sliced ​​and spread on the pizza would certainly be nicer.

I recently visited the Meisterhaus restaurant in Unna and I regret to say that my experience was extremely disappointing and worrying. The main course I ordered clearly contained spoiled meat. The smell and taste were immediately suspicious, and after a single bite it was clear that the meat was not fresh. First, I would like to emphasize that hygiene and food safety should be a top priority, especially in a restaurant. It is absolutely unacceptable that customers are at risk of health problems because food is not stored or prepared properly. I immediately brought this to the attention of the staff and although they were apologetic, that cannot excuse the fact that such a serious mistake occurred. I was offered to replace the dish but my appetite was understandably gone after the experience. It is unfortunate that I cannot give a positive review based on this experience. I really hope that the restaurant's management takes this feedback seriously and takes the necessary measures to ensure that something like this never happens again. The health of guests should always come first. Until then, unfortunately I cannot recommend anyone to visit this restaurant.

I paid 2 euros more for my meal today than stated on the menu. When asked, the response was immediately aggressive and completely unreasonable. The "boss" or whoever he was also told me something about Calabrese salami, which was completely off topic. He also wanted to take the pizza away from me without giving me the money back and followed me outside and shouted after me that I should tell all my friends what kind of shop this was. I'm happy to do this :) Of course I also became unfriendly, which I think is completely normal in the situation. Anyone who treats their customers like this because of 2 euros shouldn't be surprised if even fewer customers come soon. The pizza itself was okay and I enjoyed it... with every bite and the thought that several people noticed how they behave towards customers there :)

DANGER! Monday and Tuesday no pizza day! Unfortunately, the master house has deteriorated considerably. High prices and small portions. Even the bread for the table is stingy. For me the pizza was always the highlight. Unfortunately, these are no longer available every day.

The restaurant presents itself in an ambience that is visibly old, but still retains a certain charm and does not affect the quality of the food. The walls tell stories of bygone times and give the room a unique atmosphere. The service deserves special recognition. Despite the full house and the challenge of finding a seat without a reservation these days, the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating at all times. You contributed significantly to a successful evening. A downside, however, was the seating. The uncomfortable chairs don't invite you to linger, which is a shame because we would have liked to stay longer to continue enjoying the atmosphere.

We were at the Meisterhaus on a Monday, it was No Pizza Day and so, after a warm welcome, we ended up with a lasgne. This was really an experience and absolutely recommended. The service was very nice and the entire team made a harmonious impression when working together. Very small point of criticism: in the corner where we sat, a better lamp could brighten the table more. We'd love to come back.

Ich liebe die Pizza Napoletaner. Vor 2 Jahren lag der Preis für die Abholung vor Ort bei 6,80 Euro. Gestern bestellt und abgeholt für 10,50 Euro. Das ist ja schon ein Preis für für eine Pizza mit Knoblauch und einer Olive.

If you want to order pizza quickly in the evening, then you've definitely come to the wrong place. According to the internet, it's open until 10 p.m., but shortly after 9:30 p.m. you can't order anything because it's supposedly already closed. What is something like that??? Then close the shop earlier or explicitly state this. That's not a service for me. The pizza was much better and bigger. If you order with garlic, the pizza will just be dripping with fat and oil. In terms of taste, well, there are definitely better ones. Not nice. Was definitely the last time we were here. Then there's the constant lack of parking space, if you park right in front of the door if there's still space available, then you have to be afraid of getting a ticket from the city. Parking garage for a fee. I no longer support that kind of way, especially the service, and I certainly don't see the fact that the prices are very high and the pizza has become smaller in my opinion.

Ate pizza today on February 25th, 2024 including pizza rolls. Pizza rolls arrived at the table warmed up, probably from the morning. The pizza, which supposedly came fresh from the oven, was also only lukewarm. Drinks for two people were also brought to the table at different times. Unfriendly service will probably go down to the cellar to laugh. You can also tell from the fact that the master's house has deteriorated massively and from the number of visitors. It was opened especially for our group (14 people) at lunchtime. Friendly and quick service. The food came at the same time without a long wait. The antipasti were ok, maybe a little low for the price. The pizzas tasted good, but had a thick crust. The ambience is atypical for Italians, more reminiscent of German cuisine, but cozy.

Zunächst erst eine Nachtwächtertour durch Unna dann den Weihnachtsmarkt besucht und schließlich hier eingekehrt zur Firmenweihnachtsfeier. Sehr gut besuchtes italienisches Restaurant . Hatten die oberste Etage für uns, zur Firmenweihnachtsfeier, Leckeres Buffet und Nachtisch, auch für Veganer und Vegetarier geeignet Klasse Service

Pizza nicht durchgebacken mit einem dicken, unbelegten und trockenen Rand. Das ganze für sehr viel Geld. Muss ich nicht noch mal haben.

Das Ambiente ist ein wenig kalt, das Essen Pizza vongole sehr lecker, nur ein bisschen viel Knoblauch, der Preis ist okay, Service super.

Essen war super, aber je voller es wurde, ließ der Service zu wünschen übrig. Man wurde nicht mehr beachtet.

Sehr düster der Schuppen,dort Pizza mit Paprika bestellt waren aus dem Glas die natürlich säuerlich auf der Pizza waren war nicht der Bringer .Ich erwarte frische Paprika und keine in Essig eingelegten aus dem Glas,auf Nachfrage bei der Servicekraft sagte die mir wir haben keine (frische )Paprika lächerlich für ein Restaurant sowas machte keinen guten Eindruck.

Haben im Sommer schön im Biergarten gesessen, der Service war nett, die Vorspeisen toll. Aber die Pizza hat zwar gut ausgesehen, war aber sehr fad im Geschmack. Zusätzlich gewünschter Oregano wurde abgelehnt, das wäre nicht typisch...Wir werden nicht mehr im Meisterhaus essen gehen.

Wir waren rundum zufrieden! Die Reservierung haben wir über opentable vorgenommen und meine Bitte einen Blumenstrauß (zum Jahrestag) zu besorgen wurde ebenfalls unkompliziert erfüllt.

Die Pizza ist immer noch lecker. Die übrigen Speisen sind leider nur noch Durchschnitt.

Wir waren gestern das erste mal im Meisterhaus und positiv überrascht. Wir wurden super schnell bedient, auf unser Essen haben wir auch höchsten 15 Minuten gewartet. Es war wirklich rundum super! War bestimmt nicht das letzte mal.

Essen und Service waren sehr gut! Obwohl man dem Servicepersonal angesehen hat wie viel Stress sie hatten, auf Grund der Fülle des Lokales, waren sie sehr freundlich und haben immer geschaut das alle Gäste zufrieden waren, und längere Wartezeit möglichst vermieden wurden. Nur eine kleinen Kritikpunkt hatten wir: Wir saßen in der 2. Ebene die durchaus mit ein paar schöneren Dekoelement gemütlicher hätte gestaltet werden können. Alles in allem haben wir dort einen sehr schönen Abend verbracht!

Unheimlich nettes Personal! Schnelle Zubereitung und sehr angenehmes Ambiente. Sehr lecker noch dazu, man konnte die einzelnen Zutaten sehr gut herausschmecken und es wurden auch hochwertige Zutaten für die Pizza verwendet. Dünner Teig mit viel Belag und der Saft sehr fruchtig. Außerdem war der Salat super lecker, frisch und knackig! Nur weiterzuempfehlen👍

Sehr schöner Biergarten mit freundlichem Personal. Leider waren die Pizzen hochpreisig und nicht sehr hochwertig. Die Tomatensoße war mit Tomatenmark gestreckt, der Käse war gewöhnlich und kein Fior di Latte, der Teig war zumindest sehr gut. Wir kommen trotzdem auf ein kalte Bier wieder.

Sehr gutes Italienisches Restaurant. Pizza, Pasta und andere Speisen, fast zeitgleich geliefert. Lecker und top!!! Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis stimmt. Bedienung top und Essen war für 5 Personen zügig da.

Meiner Meinung nach die beste Pizza im Umkreis, natürlich schmeckt die gelieferte Pizza nicht so gut, wie wenn man Sie vor Ort ist oder selber abholt, aber dennoch ist auch der lieferservice eine nette Option, der auch gut funktioniert. Das Team ist wirklich sehr nett und die alte Location im Restaurant in einem alten Gebäude hat wirklich seinen eigenen Charme und finde ich persönlich klasse.

Seit Jahrzehnten verkehrt meine Familie im Meisterhaus. Vor einigen Jahren gab es einmal eine Schwächephase, aber die ist lange vorbei. Das Meisterhaus ist nicht ganz billig, aber jeden Euro wert. Wir werden bestimmt weitere Jahrzehnte gerne ins Meisterhaus kommen.

Der Laden ist komisch organisiert. Wenn man reingeht wird man erstmal komisch von der Seite angeschaut und dann auf die gegenüberliegende Straßenseite verwiesen, wo man dann professionell in einem schönen Ambiente einen Platz zugewiesen bekommt auf der Terrasse. Hatten eine Vorspeise und ein Hauptgericht. Bekamen aufmerksam Pizzabrötchen als Appetizer gereicht mit einem sehr guten Dip. Die Brötchen waren qualitativ unaufgebacken aus dem Metro Beutel von gestern. Antipasti waren aus dem Glas auf einen Teller drapiert, Die Pizza war sehr teigig, nicht schlecht, aber auch nicht so dass es eine Empfehlung des Hauses gewesen ist. Die Nudeln meiner Frau haben ihr sehr gut geschmeckt. Alles in Allem ein okayes Essen.

Wir haben einen Tisch vier Wochen im voraus bestellt, mit der Bitte, dass wir einen Tisch im unteren Bereich bekommen. Leider hatte dies nicht geklappt, da die Reservierung wohl untergegangen war. Das Essen war ganz gut. Der Service war leider nicht so present, die Wartezeiten waren gerade noch ok, aber obwohl ständig jemand an unserem Tisch vorbei kam, mussten wir immer auf uns aufmerksam machen um noch etwas zu bestellen. Positiv waren die Portionsgrößen.
