Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe zum Essen hier und sind begeistert. Die Atmosphäre ist typisch italienisch – gemütlich, herzlich und sehr einladend. Das Essen war hervorragend: frische Zutaten, authentische Gerichte und alles geschmacklich auf den Punkt. Besonders positiv war, dass trotz unserer Gruppengröße alle Speisen gleichzeitig serviert wurden und jeder zufrieden war. Der Service war aufmerksam, freundlich und immer gut gelaunt. Man fühlt sich hier sofort willkommen. Wer echtes italienisches Essen in angenehmer Atmosphäre genießen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können das Restaurant uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen! 🇮🇹🍕🍝 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Sterne von uns!

Trotz fehlenden Reservierung bekamen wir einen Tisch. Die Speisekarte hat viel zu bieten und die Auswahl fällt schwer. Die Bedienung von der Begrüßung bis zur Verabschiedung sehr nett und aufmerksam. Das Essen war sehr lecker und dafür ist man auch gerne bereit 1-2 Euro mehr zu zahlen. zahlen. FAZIT: Hier ird Gastfreundschaft und Qualität groß geschrieben.

Freunde von mir hatten einen Tisch im Meisterhaus reserviert und ich war zum ersten, aber sicher nicht letzten Mal dort. Das Gasthaus macht einen sehr einladenden Eindruck, das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend und mein Essen - Lasagne - war einfach sehr gut! Also, lieben Dank 7nd bis ganz bald :)

Toller Italiener, insbesondere sind die Pizzen ein Highlight.

Ganz tolles italienisches Restaurant mit urigem Flair

Nach vielen Jahren das erste Mal wieder im Meisterhaus eingekehrt - und wir sind positiv überrascht worden. Von der Begrüßung (wir hatten nicht reserviert), über die ganze Zeit bis zur Verabschiedung ein perfekter Abend. Preis-Leistung-Qualität-Service hat alles bestens gepasst. 👍🏼

Ich war Heute dort Essen mit meinen Eltern. Und das war erst das Zweite mal das ich dort gegessen habe. Das Personal war sehr Freundlich zu uns. Ich und mein Vater habe die Tomatensuppe 🍅 (10/10) als Vorspeise gehabt. Diese Suppe war sehr Schmackhaft. Mein Vater hatte als Hauptspeise eine Pizza 🍕 mit Ei, Salami, Schinken und Pilzen 🍄 eine (9/10). Ich hatte eine Klasische Lasagne (9/10). Die Lasagne war ziemlich würzig und auch sehr Heiß 🔥. Zu der Lasagne fehlte für den letzten Punkt aber noch Ei 🥚 und Champions 🍄.

Leider im Lauf der Jahre auf den Hund gekommen. Die Angebote der Speisekarte sind wesentlich nicht abrufbar, d.h. schon der Einkauf ist nicht koordiniert, mitten in der Woche wird nicht nachgekauft. Was dann wirklich angeboten wird, ist lieblos zubereitet und noch liebloser serviert. Schade, schon der unaufgeräumte Eingangsbereich lässt vermuten, dass das Hauptaugenmerk auf Pizza außer Haus gelegt wird. Für diese Tristesse dann auch zu hohe Preise. Salat Caprese ohne Essig/Öl, Salz&Pfeffer, das Pizza!Brot mit seltsamer Mayonaise, die Bandnudeln mit Hummersauce, TK Spinat und komplett todgegrilltem Lachs. Reduziertes Weinangebot, ital. Standard Sorten nicht verfügbar. Nun beginnt zwar bekanntlich östlich von Dortmund ein kulinarische Wüste, aber ein Italiener sollte doch nicht etwas Stolz auf seine Nationalküche besitzen.

Wir waren zu zweit, bekamen ohne Reservierung, Sonntag mittag, einen Tisch, etwas fußkalt und leicht zugig. Service freundlich und schnell. Zum Essen hatten wir ein Nudelgericht, Tagliatelle mit Rindfleisch, hätte ein bißchen mehr Würze und Hitze vertragen können, sowie Saltimbocca mit Risotto Reis, der Reis schmeckte eher wie Milchreis eine leichte Süße, kein Parmesan oder Zwiebeln zu finden, beim Fleisch war der Salbei nicht vorhanden. Der Koch sollte mal etwas Nachhilfe nehmen.

Spontan hereingekommen und sofort wohlgefühlt. Authentische Atmosphäre, cool gestaltetes Restaurant und ein toller Blick auf den Pizzabäcker. Sehr aufmerksame, charmante und schnelle Bedienung. Das Essen war richtig lecker. Und ein Restaurant mit einem Bud-Spencer-Bild an der Wand kann einfach nicht schlecht sein. 😊

Habe leider falsche Infos bezüglich eines Gutscheins erhalten, sei 2 Jahre gültig, auf Gutschein steht nichts, laut Gesetz dann aber 3 Jahre gültig. Infos bezüglich wann welches Essen und Speisekarte passte vor Ort auch nicht zur Homepage. Habe dann doch woanders gegessen. Deswegen kann ich Qualität des Essens nicht beurteilen.

Atmosphere und das Gebäube sehr schön. Service läuft etwas langasam aber ist auch in Ordnung. Die Preisen könnten günstiger sein. Soft Getränke kommen in Glas was ich nicht in Ordnung finde.

Italienisches Restaurant, wunderschöner Tanz, tadelloser Service, alles blitzsauber, das Essen 3/5, ich würde es bevorzugen, wenn es 2-3 Euro mehr pro Gericht kosten würde und die Zutaten von besserer Qualität wären, ich warte auch ab, ob die Preise mit dem neuen Jahr sinken, da die Mehrwertsteuer von 19% auf 7% gesunken ist, ich werde bis Ende des Monats warten, das Gleiche gilt für alle Restaurants, in denen ich bisher in Deutschland gegessen habe.

The staff were all very friendly, except for one female employee who became rude when we pointed something out. It got so bad that we wanted to leave the restaurant; we felt that this person had no business being there and was damaging the restaurant's reputation.

It's really delicious there; I had a pizza. But I don't understand why they still don't have pizza with hollandaise sauce! It doesn't have to be homemade! But don't be so closed off to new things!

Some days there was no pizza – a pretty silly concept. It was still delicious though.

We drove all the way to Meisterhaus specifically for their usually excellent pizza. Unfortunately, they don't serve it on Mondays and Tuesdays because the pizza chefs are off. We only found this out when we went to order our food. There was no mention of this beforehand, neither when we ordered drinks nor when we were assigned seats. That would have been nice. So we had to switch to pasta, which was still okay. A heads-up about this would be helpful, perhaps even on their website. Then people could plan ahead or avoid going altogether.

Still living on tradition, very nice restaurant and super good pizzas, unfortunately the service is inadequate, as they are uninterested and slow.

We are regular guests, and the Meisterhaus has improved significantly again. Over the past two weeks, we've eaten pizza, pasta, fish, meat, and antipasti with friends, and everyone was very satisfied. The service was also good. We had some very enjoyable evenings.

The "Meisterhaus" (Master's House) in Unna's southern city center offers a cozy, early modern atmosphere. Located on the now-disappeared site of the once-fortified ramparts on Hertinger Straße, it's a charming space with old oak beams, thick walls, and a few, somewhat dusty, windows. The interior is relatively small, but this creates a unique ambiance and flair. This reliably attracts guests, so reservations are recommended. The food is excellent: fresh, flavorful, and very garlicky, even in the superb, spicy tomato soup. The stone-baked pizza is deservedly famous. While it's made with a bit too much dough and is therefore quite voluminous, its excellent toppings and perfect doneness speak for themselves. The pasta "Aragosta alla Meisterhaus" (prawns and lobster cream) is flavorful, rich, and elegant. The service is efficient, humorous, professional, and attentive. The atmosphere is lively and bustling, with music playing in the background, creating a cheerful ambiance and a pleasant dining experience. Conclusion: A visit is highly recommended, despite the paper napkins. Update, late summer 2025: Meisterhaus offers a party catering service. This is highly recommended. From the initial consultation and advice, through the delivery of the food, to the collection of the equipment, everything went perfectly. And last but not least: The quality of the food and the value for money were impeccable and excellent.

We were there for the second time, the pasta is simply divine.

We wanted to have a pizza at Meisterhaus after shopping in Unna today. Unfortunately, we were told that the pizza oven is only fired up on weekends. No comment. We found an alternative.

The atmosphere is great, especially in summer; the amount of food is good value for money; it's a shame that the pizzas aren't available to order all the time.

A pleasant encounter with the owners began with a glance at the menu. The service staff was very friendly and competent. The food was excellent (pizza, tiramisu, and a good bottle of wine), and the restaurant's good reputation was confirmed. Highly recommended.

I'd say this is one of the best, if not the best, pizza in Unna. 🫶 I haven't had such a good pizza in a long time! But the pasta dishes are also so delicious 🤤 But as always, my motto: Only those who go can have a say. And please go! And the desserts, beyond words 👍

There's no pizza available during lunchtime opening hours, unbelievable. And the notice only comes after the drinks are on the table. Such extremely poor service.

Good food, very friendly service!!!

Last night we got food from the Meisterhaus: a pizza and two salads for a whopping €49, the whole thing seasoned with the typical unfriendly service at Meisterhaus! Good, you might think... if the food is good...?! This meal was far from "good"! The pizza was burnt, the salad wasn't washed, the sand crunched in your teeth, and it was carelessly presented. Tomato with mozzarella: the tomatoes were quartered and carelessly thrown onto the plate, with the mozzarella slapped in the middle! The whole thing was barely seasoned and without any dressing! I never write reviews, but in this case the food was simply a disgrace, and the €49 to go with it!!! Never again!!!

The pizza is delicious, just like it has been for decades. I've been going to Meisterhaus regularly for over 40 years, and it's always delicious.

Unfortunately, the menu has been significantly reduced, and they no longer serve fries. For me, this is a reason to stop visiting the restaurant. I also found the service very impersonal. So, unfortunately, I can no longer recommend it.

Today we ate at the Meisterhaus for the first time in a long time. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to our expectations. I ordered saltimbocca with risotto and a white wine sauce. It came with two thick pieces of pork fillet wrapped in ham, a tablespoon of risotto, and a touch of white wine sauce with some ratatouille vegetables. When I asked if saltimbocca was actually a schnitzel (it's usually made with veal), I was told they didn't have any schnitzels... When I order saltimbocca, I don't expect pork fillet! The ham was definitely not Parma ham. We gave it a solid 6, even though they did add more white wine sauce. The service and staff were really good, though. We won't be coming back...

Tuesdays seem to be an exception in Unna. The restaurant was open, but there were no pizzas available because the pizza makers were off work. Very strange...

Arrived at 7.20 p.m. We spontaneously stopped by the Meisterhaus today (Wednesday / warm weather). We found ourselves a table in the beer garden. The beer garden was busy in the evening. We had to wait 30 minutes for the menu and it took just as long to take our order. Instead of the Hövel we ordered, we were served a DAB, but so as not to have to wait too long again, I accepted it. It also took ages for the food (starter and main course) to arrive. The main course came when it was already dark. When we asked for lights, we got a rude no and we should be happy that the restaurant had opened at all. The outside lights came on after a short while. The minestrone was great as always, and so were the pizzas. The pizza rolls were very hard to chew and the mussels were dripping in fat. I took the mussels home to improve them. At home I measured out 150 ml of fat plus all the cheese on top. It's a shame about the otherwise always delicious dish. The total price for the three people (2 pizzas, 1 small bruschetta, 1 minestrone, 1 pizza roll, 1 0.75-ml water, a beer, and a large Spezi) was €87. We left the restaurant at 10 p.m.

Without Giovanni, nothing would happen. We waited over an hour for our food in vain, and after asking twice, they still couldn't tell us what was going on. We finally left.

Unfortunately, the staff was unfriendly. The tablecloth was torn and stained. We won't be back. 6 years later: We did come back. Conclusion: Again disappointing. It was enough for the beer garden. Pleasant atmosphere, we spontaneously got seats for two without a reservation. I ordered a Caprese salad. The tomatoes had no taste, and they were much too coarsely chopped (quartered). There was very little to no olive oil. And the basil was completely omitted. For the price, it was outrageous. The "capricciosa" pizza: inferior salami. Soot residue on the pizza base. Toppings undercooked. There was a sign at the entrance that read: "We are grateful for every guest. Ungrateful guests are welcome to move to the next house!!!" What's the point of that? If anything, we'll only come back for drinks in the beer garden. What all the hype about the Meisterhaus is a mystery to us.

We had planned our wedding dinner at the Meisterhaus and spoken with the team several times in advance – including rehearsal dinners, room arrangements, and menu planning. We were assured that we, as a private party (approx. 20-25 people), would be accommodated in a separate room, and that appetizer platters would be served in advance. Unfortunately, the day itself went completely differently than planned: Despite a firm reservation and multiple confirmations, our party was summarily seated outside on three (!) separate tables upon arrival – allegedly because staff members had called in sick. A smooth process or a festively decorated room? None of this. When we politely inquired, we were treated harshly at times, even shouted at when we tried to at least take flowers outside. Only after repeated, clear complaints were we finally allowed to sit inside – much too late and with unnecessary stress. The appetizers weren't ready either. Conclusion: The food was of very good quality, but the service, planning, and treatment of guests – especially on such an important day – were absolutely disappointing. Despite our subsequent apologies, we still have a negative overall impression. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the Meisterhaus for special occasions.

The Master's House. Once upon a time. Time is up and the rum has faded. It has faded but unfortunately they always live off it. I will certainly not set foot in this restaurant again. What I experienced today was poor, if not unsatisfactory, and surpasses pretty much everything I have experienced in my life. In fact, the food is served by the app in a way that is completely unprofessional. If Deutsche Bahn serves food in the dining car, then at least that is their fault. My advice to you is: please train your service staff. One more thing to note: the next problem: even if it may be difficult to find good staff after the Corona period, the management should urgently replace some of them or provide training. That was shameful and disrespectful. For the sake of completeness, what is completely unacceptable. The outrageous manner in which the service is concerned is one thing, but being asked from the side if you would like bread with your meal is hard to believe. In good restaurants, they bring a snack beforehand, but in the Meisterhaus they ask if you would like bread with it. That's shameful. Six of us went to dinner at the Meisterhaus. The price-performance ratio is completely out of whack! For two small pieces of veal fillet, three spoonfuls of green beans, and a few rosemary potatoes, we had to pay €35. I think that's very overpriced. For a 0.5-liter non-alcoholic wheat beer, €6! For two small pieces of rack of lamb, two spoonfuls of overcooked vegetables, and three spoonfuls of spaghetti, €35 is also too much! The salmon dish, which also cost around €35, was also a joke. The risotto wouldn't have even fed a toddler. It was just two tablespoons! We were usually very satisfied. But this was our last visit to the Meisterhaus.

Quite the opposite when it came to the prices. A few days ago, six of us were there. This time we decided to ignore the prices and treat ourselves. The ox cheeks, rack of lamb and veal, and salmon were all very tasty; the portions themselves were outrageous. For around €35 ​​per dish, the quantity of the dishes was outrageous. The salmon came with two tablespoons of risotto, the rack of lamb consisted of two sets of three ribs, the ox cheeks were also very small, as was the veal. The pasta that went with the rack of lamb took three forks to eat. Bad value for money. The only portions that would satisfy even the most normal adult eater were the two pasta dishes. Furthermore, the vegetables in the ox cheeks tasted very sour, as if they had been pickled. It's good to know about such things in advance. The side dishes were very limited for all dishes. It was also unfortunate that, even though the restaurant was moderately busy, we had to wait over an hour for our food. Unfortunately, other tables were served before us. The waitress was very nice! Unfortunately, we were disappointed too often, so we probably won't be coming back.

We wanted an alternative to wheat flour. No chance. Pizza with just wheat flour was okay, but at least in a master's house they should offer whole-wheat pasta. The waiter didn't know any spelt and laughed at us, saying we should have vegetables instead. But that only worked with a meaty main course. Unfortunately, due to a lack of consideration, only 2 stars for service. The ravioli portion looked more like a starter than a main course, hence only 2 stars here. The pizza was okay, but you simply expect more from a master's house. Sorry.

Everything fits here. Variety in the menu. Unusual pizzas. My absolute favorite restaurant for many years. We drive 30 kilometers for this, I think that says a lot? Give it a try, no one will be disappointed here. Prices are absolutely justified given the taste and service.

As a new resident of Unner, I have heard again and again how great the Meisterhaus is. Let me put it this way: No, it's not. Maybe 20 years ago, that may be the case, but today... the pizza is mediocre in taste, the price of around 18 euros is a disgrace. A few meters further down there is better pizza for half the price... and I don't think it's even Italian. However, you can't sit there very well. Oh, that's right, you can't do that in the master's house either. For example, the seating has holes and occasionally you could wipe under the table. But all of that was probably because we were there on Saturday evening. It was so full that we didn't even have to make a reservation :-) I know you have fans and they're going to be upset again, but pictures don't lie.

The map consists of copied pages on wooden boards. It is very clear and limited. Starter pizza rolls. .. None. No comparison to before. I was very disappointed. H.Go.

Very good food at fair prices in a nice, cozy atmosphere. Excellent vitello tonnato. Top-notch pizza 🍕The Frutti di Mare, however, was made with only shrimp and squid, without mussels. One star deducted for that. Otherwise, however, highly recommended. We'd be happy to come back.

Food was delicious. The white wine we ordered first wasn't available, the replacement came in a huge red wine or Aperol glass. A noise like a train station. That really killed the evening.

We were 7 people. The food tasted really great. Pizzas were great, our friends said so. One person, who is actually a bit picky, said that his pizza tasted the best he had ever eaten! I had cream of broccoli soup with salmon beforehand. And as a 2 course tagliatelle with baby spinach and salmon in a cream sauce. The taste was really delicious and the food was served really hot, so hot that I even had to wait a bit. The service was very friendly. A lovely evening with delicious food!

Was there for the second time. The first time the service was quite disorganized and we had to wait a long time for drinks and food. The portion of pasta would have been enough for my little daughter but not for an adult. It was tasty nonetheless. Second time trying pizza with high expectations of the stone oven. Unfortunately, the taste was only lower midfield. The atmosphere at the team event was also cruel. A long room that looked like a huge, uncomfortable storage room. Not even the chairs were upholstered. The ambience is much better downstairs. I still see room for improvement in some areas. But there probably won't be a third visit. Too bad.

We had dinner here last night - Boxing Day. It was called 1. Haus am Platz, my expectations were high. It was by far my worst restaurant experience. The rooms are not heated, not a bit of Christmas decorations on the tables and the women's toilet is underground, worse than any train toilet (hygiene nil). The food was tasty, two different pasta dishes with seafood, but there could have been a few more for the steep prices and also the pasta... we've never had so little on our plate before. Our conclusion: Never eat here again!

Had sole which was very delicious and was filleted tenderly. The other dishes were also convincing. With the sole, just a side dish alongside the salad would have been enough to round it off. The only downside: Unfortunately there was no pizza on Mondays and Tuesdays. That's actually what we went there for. If you don't live locally, you hardly have the opportunity to research this in advance.

It seems to us that expectations and reality differ greatly here. The ambience in the beautiful half-timbered house is completely antiquated and in old fashion style, lamps hang uncomfortably over the table, so that you have the lamp on your forehead while eating. From our point of view, the food is not even upscale. The way the plates are arranged is not particularly imaginative. We would like the spirit of the times to be taken more into account here.

As in previous years, pizza is still very good. Special atmosphere. We were also warmly welcomed. We would be happy to come back.

Sehr leckeres Essen und tolle Atmosphäre, ich gehe seit Jahren immer wieder gerne hin. Besonders hervorzuheben ist meiner Meinung nach, daß die Gerichte komplett selbst gekocht sind und keine Halbfertig- oder Fertigprodukte verwendet werden, wie häufig in anderen Restaurants üblich (auch wenn das keiner sagt). Es wird authentisch gekocht und das ist mir als Person mit Unverträglichkeiten in Bezug auf Zusatzstoffe und Glutamat sehr wichtig, denn nur im Meisterhaus kann ich unbesorgt essen gehen und bekomme immer ein köstliches Essen. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis finde ich vollkommen ok. Es werden keine von der Lebensmittelindustrie produzierten Hilfsmittelchen eingesetzt und man erhält tatsächlich "echtes Essen"- . das kostet Personal, Zeit und Aufwand und muß halt auch bezahlt werden.
