La Locanda in Unna

Yesterday, on October 26, 2025, my aunt 🥰 invited me to dinner for her birthday. It was fantastic. I chose the rump steak from the daily special, and my dad chose the pork fillet with green pepper, also from the daily special. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender as butter until the last bite. A true delight, it couldn't be better. Dad was also thrilled. The pizzas, schnitzels, fries, salads, and side dishes we ordered also looked excellent. The portions and sizes were also great. The service was friendly, fast, and left nothing to be desired. The value for money is very good. A huge, heartfelt compliment to the entire staff. You put your love and dedication into everything you do, and you can feel and taste it. Thank you all so, so much 🌹

Delicious, friendly, the best gnocchi I've ever eaten.

I haven't had such a good Italian pizza in a long time. The dough is really crispy and fluffy. The toppings were very good. I can definitely recommend it.

A fantastic, authentic Italian restaurant with great dishes and a chef who knows when things are ready. I just had grilled salmon with vegetables and rosemary potatoes... sounds boring, but it was a "poem" like nothing I've ever experienced before. My compliments! Unfriendly operation, knife very dull, the pizza was very difficult to cut.

Google said it was open but was closed

We were there for the first time on Saturday and had reserved. The young lady behind the counter only reacted when spoken to and was probably too busy trying not to break her 4cm long fingernails. When we explained that we had reserved, we were ignored for some time. When she gave us her valued attention again, we had to repeat our name. Then she said weekly, “please come with me.” She took us to the table next to the toilet doors where the menus, napkins and vinegar/oil etc. were stored. After about a minute I was bumped into by a lady who wanted to go to the toilet. After three minutes the boss slammed a stack of menus next to me, which really shocked me. That was enough, we left. NEVER AGAIN!

The building isn't that nice to look at from the outside, but it's even nicer inside: a very cozy atmosphere. The waiter was super attentive and accommodating, the food (pizza, homemade gnocchi) was very tasty. Also worth mentioning is the super delicious pizza bread with 2 different dips, which was served as a starter. All in all a great lunch, we'll be back!

Mein Mann und ich haben einen schönen Abend im La Locanda verbracht. Alles war schön weihnachtlich dekoriert inklusive frischer Blumen auf den Tischen. Der Service war sehr freundlich und wir konnten uns rundum wohlfühlen. Vorweg gab es vom Haus warme Brötchen und zwei unterschiedliche Cremes. Wir hatten eine kleine Pizza vorweg. Einfach köstlich. Als Hauptspeise gab es einmal Lasagne und einmal Penne mit Lachsstückchen. Sehr lecker beides. Wir waren pappsatt und weil wir 1. Hunger hatten und 2. viel gequatscht haben, gibt es von den Speisen leider kein einziges Foto. Bevor die sehr faire Rechnung kam, gab es noch ein Getränk vom Haus. Wir wurden rundum verwöhnt und kommen ganz sicher wieder.

Not enough tomato sauce, not enough tuna, not enough cheese...many areas of the dough simply weren't filled They were stingy! First and last visit! Ciao

The staff is incredibly overwhelmed! 🤨Everyone had to repeat our order again after the food was handed to us from the neighboring table. Absolute chaos and no apologies whatsoever. Several times people almost spilled food or drink on my clothes while moving because they didn't draw attention to themselves. It's also incredibly loud, super warm and the air is so stuffy that it's really hard to breathe and I'm still really young! 😅 The food was quite good, but everything around it ruined it so much. We were all stressed and stunned.

Delicious food, I chose a pizza with spinach, Parma ham and Parmesan. The appetizer was also very good, hot rolls with garlic cheese and some other cheese. I paid €13 for a pizza and €3 for a water.

Great food..nice service..fair prices.. Tomato soup was the best I've eaten so far. Unfortunately the noise level was a little too high for me. Otherwise you can have a great meal there

Good value for money and the staff are friendly and very accommodating. However, the noise level was so dramatically high (80 decibels measured with a cell phone) that no music could be heard and we had to 'yell' at each other. This has little to do with comfort.

Very good Italian restaurant with a very friendly and attentive staff. I ate spaghetti with onions and bacon in tomato sauce there, I didn't know this combination before, nobody else offers it in the area. It tasted excellent. Parmesan was not only served with it but was also added directly to the waiter's polite request, something that is rarely seen anymore. There were also pizza rolls with two different dips with herb quark and garlic. The portion is also decent, so you'll be full. An appetizer to the house after the meal was also offered. The prices are also very fair and you can sit outside in the summer. A visit there is definitely worth it. I am very satisfied, thanks to the whole team at this great restaurant.

Delicious food and nice staff. Unfortunately the ambience leaves something to be desired. You could invest a little more here.

Despite a reservation, we had to wait 20 minutes for a table without being greeted. Drinks were forgotten and wrong dishes were delivered. The service was completely inattentive, unfriendly and obviously overwhelmed. It was not possible to reorder drinks. While serving at the next table, the waiter knocked over my glass. There was no proper apology, no replacement drink, nor was the table cleaned. The food was absolutely carelessly prepared. In the end the calculation was wrong. We eat out a lot, but we've never had such a bad dining experience. The restaurant is light years away from professional gastronomy.

We are very happy to have found this location. A little bit to the right Italy in Germany. We have been traveling to Italy for over 40 years and feel that it is difficult to find authentic Italian cuisine in Germany. They are available here, tasty, well seasoned and always perfectly prepared, both in terms of taste and to the eye. Plus nice staff and a warm boss. Grazie mille Sat

The food was delicious. There was schnitzel with fries and salad. However, there was no second drink the entire evening because there was no service and I was left standing at the entrance when I said that I had an appointment with a larger group. I then looked around myself until someone said there were two larger groups and pointed in the direction where the groups were sitting. The atmosphere was cozy

Herzlichen Dank für den schönen Abend mit dem super leckerem Essen. Wir waren mit 9 Personen essen und alle waren total zufrieden. Leider war das Restaurant sehr voll und somit auch extrem laut.

Freundliche, zuvorkommende Bedienung trotz vollem Lokal. Angenehmes Ambiente nur etwas eng bestuhlt. Vorspeisen sehr lecker, die Pizza auch aber die hätte noch ein wenig länger im Ofen bleiben dürfen. Auf alle Fälle einen weiteren Besuch wert.

Die Muscheln waren sehr lecker, die Ravioli waren ok, aber schon fantasievoller.

Das Restaurant ist echt der Hammer, wir hatten unter anderem Muscheln gefuttert, sowie der Hauptgang 🤌, daß pana cotta zum Abschluss, ein Gedicht 😁 ... macht bloß weiter so 👌

Manchmal muss man auch Glück haben..... Sonntag abends vom Stau auf der Autobahn geflüchtet und ohne Google Ausschau nach einer Pizzeria gehalten. Also zufällig, ohne Reservierung in der locanda gelandet. Sehr freundlicher Service, tolle Gerichte und Weine ! Top!! So ein Restaurant wünschte ich mir als Stammitaliener in meiner Umgebung, einfach authentische Küche ! Das es vorab Pizzabrötchen gab, die noch warm waren hat mich glücklich gemacht. Liebe Ruhris, schätzt dieses Restaurant, so viel Frische und Handwerk ist nicht selbstverständlich.

Wir waren hier schon oft essen. Sowohl mittags als auch abends. Auch bestellen wir hier unser Essen zum Abholen. Der Laden ist eigentlich immer gut besucht und das zu Recht! An den Speisen gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Unser Stammitaliener. Man fühlt sich hier willkommen.

La Locanda ist immer einen Besuch wert. Pizza mit Liebe zubereitet, Mitarbeiter immer freundlich. Allerdings wird es mir langsam zu teuer.

Ich habe viel gegessen!!! Ich beschloss, mich auf die Straße zu setzen. Sie wischten alles ab und bereiteten es sofort vor. Ich mochte es sehr. Ich empfehle!!!! Lecker! Cool!!!!Fleisch gebraten mit dezenten italienischen Noten. 2 Soßen. Matsonezny und Käse, Brötchen. Das Bier ist auch super. Ich bin begeistert!!!

Wir gehen hier schon seit Jahren essen und es ist immer gut . Sollte mal etwas nicht in Ordnung sein bekommt man immer ein offenes Ohr , ja, es ist manchmal ziemlich viel aber das liegt halt daran das man hier so gut essen kann 😉

Leckeres Essen, nette Bedienung, schönes Restaurant. War ein toller Abend

wir waren mit Freunden (15 Personen) gemeldet, ein 12er Tisch war für uns reserviert. Dann haben wir 1 Stunde auf die Bedienung für die Getränke warten müssen, auf das Essen nochmals 90min - was auch nicht umwerfend war, Akkustisch war es auch sehr laut, kaum Parkmöglichkeiten.

Ein Familienbetrieb, die Chefin selbst in Service, jeder Besucher wird persönlich begrüßt, nette Geste. Das Essen ist hier sehr authentisch Italienisch / lecker.

Es war ein Tisch für 15 Personen gebucht, ein Tisch für 12 Personen wurde uns zugewiesen. Es musste also noch geändert werden, zwei andere Gäste wurden umgesetzt. Wir haben um 19:00 Uhr Platz genommen, das erste Getränk erhielt ich um 20:05 Uhr. Erst nach einer guten halben Stunde hat sich überhaupt jemand darum bemüht, unsere Bestellung für Getränke aufzunehmen. Essen erhielten wir nach 21 Uhr, mein zweites Bier bekam ich nach mehrfacher Nachfrage gegen 21:30 Uhr. Das Essen war durchaus ok, die Marsala-Sauce hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Leider wiegt das Essen den für mich absolut mangelnden Service nicht auf.
