Zu viel soße immer auf dem döner und die beilagen sind nicht so gut aber sonst ist oke

VORSICHT !! 2 mal gegessen und 2 mal hatten meine frau und ich magenprobleme mit extremen durchfall.

Lecker. 😋 Mehr muss man nicht sagen. Hühnchen, Kalb mit Pute oder Rind. In der Dönertasche, oder Dürüm, Pommes, Falafel. Alles schmeckt, nette Leute. Schneller Service.

Ich war letzte Woche Donnerstag gegen 17:00 Uhr dort und bin leider sehr enttäuscht worden. Der Kassierer war unfreundlich, wirkte genervt und ist mit den Kunden nicht respektvoll umgegangen. So einen Service erwartet man in einem Restaurant nicht. Dafür gibt es von mir klare Minuspunkte. Ich hoffe, dass der Betreiber darauf achtet und den Kundenservice verbessert.

Perfekt für den Cheat Day , um eine Deload Phase. Das Team ist mega freundlich und das Essen ist top 🥰

Die Person vor mir wurde noch bedient. Bei mir wurde dann nicht reagiert und auf Nachfrage kam nur eine extrem unfreundliche Antwort. Für mich gehort Freundlichkeit zum Service dazu. Manche Menschen sind dafür einfach nicht gemacht und sollten nicht in der Gastronomie arbeiten. Ich kann diesen Laden weder Familie noch Freunden empfehlen und werde selbst auch nicht mehr hingehen.

Der Döner war okay. Es wurden von den MA einige Kunden, offenbar Bekannte, einfach vorgelassen. Es wurde laut rumgegrölt, was nicht einladend wirkt.

Ich gehe schon immer hier hin, sehr guter Döner, die Sambal Sauce ist der Hammer.

Brot super knusprig. Dönertasche sehr gut gefüllt! Man bekommt das wofür mann zahlt. Fleisch zart und geschmackvoll. Hausgemachten Soßen erstklassig! Bester Döner den ich bisher gegessen habe! Größen unschlagbar

Es wäre gut, ein paar Stühle zum Sitzen zu haben, unsere Füße tun weh.

Ihr habt es echt geschafft, euch innerhalb kürzester Zeit vom ehemals besten Döner in Herne zu einem absoluten Reinfall zu entwickeln. Früher hat hier einfach alles gepasst. Das Fleisch war super, es gab reichlich Soße und Schafskäse, und wenn man scharf bestellt hat, war es auch scharf. Jetzt kann man hier leider überhaupt nicht mehr essen. Das Fleisch schmeckt nach nichts, ist zäh, knorpelig und voller Knochensplitter. Ich habe mir dreimal fast einen Zahn abgebrochen! Die Soße musste man sprichwörtlich suchen. Wir mussten 2/3 des Döners in den Müll werfen, und der Rest lag uns danach noch schwer im Magen. Uns ging es nach dem Essen absolut nicht gut. Wir kamen wirklich jahrelang gerne zu euch. Nach den letzten Erfahrungen und vor allem dem heutigen Desaster, werden wir uns definitiv einen neuen Laden suchen müssen. Wirklich sehr schade um die einst gute Qualität!

Na ja der Döner den man mal für 3,50€ bekommen hat kostet jetzt mal 7 / 8 € .

Es ist ein super renowirter Laden alle Gerichte sehr lecker und Seher viel in den Döner immer wieder gerne der Laden war sehr voll aber die Bedienung lief sehr schnell und ruhig ab .

Ich hatte den Kalbsdöner, das Fleisch hat einfach nach nichts geschmeckt und konnte es leider nicht zu Ende essen. Vielleicht schmeckt der Steak oder Hähnchendöner besser

Ein wirklich guter Döner. Ich kann ihn jedem empfehlen, der etwas richtig Leckeres sucht. Am Eingang ist immer viel los, er scheint also bei vielen Leuten gut anzukommen.

Danke an den Waschbox-Nachbarn mit dem Benz für die Empfehlung. Leider gab es keinen Yaprak-Spieß mehr.

Leider sehr enttäuschend. Das Dönerfleisch war innen noch roh und definitiv nicht durchgegart. Das ist nicht nur unappetitlich, sondern auch gesundheitlich bedenklich. Ich musste das Essen sofort wegwerfen. So etwas darf in einem Restaurant nicht passieren. Werde dort nicht nochmal essen.

Wenn ich Kalb bestelle und Kalb Truthanoberkeulenfleisch Mix bekomme dann fühle ich mich hintergangen.

80 % Salat 10 % Sauce 10 % Fleisch mit Abstand des schlechteste Döner in Herne. Wer was anderes sagt, hat wirklich keine Ahnung.

Für mich einer der besten Läden mit super Fleischauswahl (auch Rind). Beratung war gut und die Preise sind absolut okay. Man kann allerdings nicht vor Ort sitzen, es ist ein reiner Imbiss zum Mitnehmen. Komme gerne wieder!

Es handelt sich um einen Imbiss und ist für mich nur zum abholen geeignet.

Das ist einer der besten Döner, wenn nicht der beste Döner den ich je gegessen habe.

Hatte ein lahmacun mit Kalbfleisch. Es war lecker das Fleisch okay die sossen gut würzig die Auswahl an Salat war dürftig hätte mir noch rotkohl gewünscht der Preis ist mit 10,40 € ehr teuer.

Der Beste Döner. Die Auswahl an 3 verschiedenen Spießen ist schon selten, Kalb/Pute, Hähnchen und Rind. Das Fleisch ist sehr lecker, das Brot knusprig und fluffig, alle Zutaten sehr frisch. Wer noch nie Döner mit Sambalsauce probiert hat, sollte das mal machen, super lecker. Kommen extra immer 30 Minuten gefahren, nur um hier den Döner zu essen. Verbesserungfähig wäre nur, ein größerer Laden mit Sitzplätzen drin. Sonst alles top!

Nach langem Überlegen haben wir heute mal wieder bei Meister Döner bestellt. Leider waren wir sowohl von der Qualität als auch vom Service sehr enttäuscht. Das Fleisch war trocken und geschmacklich nicht überzeugend. Außerdem wurde unsere Bestellung nicht richtig umgesetzt: Obwohl wir ausdrücklich darum gebeten hatten, auch über den Salat Soße zu machen und das Gericht scharf zuzubereiten, wurde dies nicht berücksichtigt. Gerade bei einfachen Wünschen sollte man als Kunde erwarten können, dass sie umgesetzt werden. So wirkt der Service leider wenig aufmerksam. Auch wenn der Laden gut besucht ist, sollte die Qualität der Speisen und der Service nicht darunter leiden. Für uns kommt ein weiterer Besuch daher leider nicht mehr in Frage.

Bester Dönerladen mit 3 Spießen (Hähnchen, Kalb/....und Rind) sowie zig Soßen zur Auswahl. Die Qualität ist absolut Top und die Leute hinter der Theke immer nett und freundlich. Kenne keinen anderen Laden mit Kartenzahlung, perfekt.

Meiner Meinung nach ist es der beste Döner-Kebab-Laden in der Region.

Ich habe hier regelmäßig gegessen, da mir an sich der Döner gut geschmeckt hat. Das letzte Mal habe ich mir gegen 19 Uhr einen Döner geholt und er hat etwas modrig geschmeckt. In der Nacht dann wurde mir so übel das ich in die notaufnahme ins Krankenhaus musste. Es stellte sich heraus das ich mir ne Lebensmittelvergiftung gefangen hatte. Die Krankenschwester hat mit gesagt, dass es leider nicht nur Bei Einzelfällen dönüşte sondern es einige Patienten gab die dort gegessen haben und anschließend die notaufnahme aufgesucht haben.

Seit vielen Jahren Stammkunde. 💫

Dieser Döner Lohnt sich zwar ist der Preis mit 9.50€ nicht grade Günstig aber dafür kriegt man auch einen sehr guten wenn nicht sogar den Besten Döner aus NRW. Das Brot ist aussen knusprig und innen sehr soft Fleisch wurde gut gewürzt und Salate sind auch gut Frisch. Achtung hier wird man Schmutzig! Leider gibt es keine plätze zum Sitzen und kein Kunden WC. Das Personal ist super nett

I don't usually write negative reviews, but this experience was absolutely outrageous. We arrived yesterday shortly after 9 p.m., very hungry. According to the posted opening hours, the snack bar should have been open for another 40-50 minutes. When we arrived, we weren't greeted, spoken to, or anything at all. Instead, one employee told another in Turkish to close the door and not let anyone else in. This all happened right in front of us, without even asking what we wanted or briefly explaining the situation. The door was simply shut – even though there were at least five other customers still in line. What made it especially infuriating was that we traveled from Nuremberg (almost 500 km), solely on a recommendation, and were then treated so disrespectfully. If you want to close early or can't take any more orders, you communicate that politely. But to lock customers out without a word, even though you're officially still open, is completely unacceptable. Very disappointing. This is no way to treat guests.

You can't go wrong here, except by not coming at all! 10 out of 10! Super service, super friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious, which is why there's no photo – the food was gone before I could even say "phone." 🫡👍

Delicious doner kebab. The highlight was the meat (I had veal), which was absolutely delicious in the slightly under-toasted bread (which unfortunately tore easily). However, the overall doner kebab was somewhat disappointing due to the mediocre sauces.

Meister Döner is one of the best places in the area, in my opinion. The döner tastes amazing, the meat is juicy and fresh, and you can tell that quality is a priority here. I especially loved the wide variety of sauces – there's truly something for everyone. From mild to spicy, they offer it all, and each sauce has its own unique flavor, not just the same old standard sauce. There's also a great selection of side dishes. Whether you prefer the classics or want to add something different, you'll always find exactly what you're craving. The staff is incredibly friendly and always in a good mood. You immediately feel welcome and receive friendly service, even when it's busy. I'll definitely be back. It's a place where everything just clicks.

QUALITY COMPLETELY COLLAPSED! As a long-time regular customer, I am deeply disappointed. Since they've only hired new staff, the quality has become catastrophic. The doner kebab is ice cold, the meat is bone dry and tough. The sauce is tasteless and watery. I ordered it spicy, but there was no hint of spice. The salad also tastes like nothing. We used to drive a long way to get there, but that's over now. The place isn't the same as we knew it. A complete waste of time and money.

I used to eat doner kebabs there all the time. I finally tried it again. There was hardly any sauce, and the toppings were a joke. It's nothing like it used to be. For €8.50, I expect something different. I won't be coming back. There's no parking available, and eating in isn't possible.

Very small, cramped shop, with rude and impolite customers and staff. We bought two large doner kebabs and rice and beans. It cost almost €30, which ended up in the trash. The meat was inedible, smelled bad, and was VERY greasy. There was no sign of this in the shop itself. You should know... not recommended.

One of the best kebab shops in Herne! I've been to Meister Döner several times now and I'm always impressed. The veal-turkey mix and the beef are especially delicious, juicy, and well-seasoned. The cocktail sauce and hot sauce are perfectly balanced. The bread is always nice and crispy, too. The staff is very friendly and works quickly, even when the place is packed. The value for money is excellent. You can't go wrong here.

Last year, we came unexpectedly for one of the best doner meals of my life. We came back exactly a year later, and nothing has changed, still as good as ever. Thanks to the whole team.

The worst shop unfriendly to the customers overpriced you can save your money not to be recommended

⭐ 1 star – Disappointing! I ordered a doner kebab with minimal meat and tzatziki today. But what I got was simply bad. The supposed tzatziki was only in one corner, and it wasn't real tzatziki, but some kind of thick yogurt mixture, totally lumpy and not enjoyable. If you're not putting much meat in it, you should at least put more salad in it, but the doner kebab was simply dry and tasteless. I threw it away after two bites. What a waste of food and money. I was looking forward to it all day, and in the end, it was just a flop. Now I'll have to get something else. 😡

I ordered several kebabs. The guy was downright rude and just wanted to get rid of us as quickly as possible. I had to wait a long time because of the service. Now it's just happened again. I really don't want to order from here anymore. The best thing is why they ask for every kebab if it comes with spicy sauce. None of the kebabs should come with spicy sauce. I'll tell you if I want it spicy.

Unfortunately, I have to give this bad review. I like eating meat – and not just salad, I'm no rabbit. The dürüm looked great on the order display: juicy, with plenty of meat, and freshly baked, fluffy dürüm bread – just as you'd expect. But what I got was a disappointment: a ready-made tortilla wrap with a few slices of meat and a huge pile of iceberg lettuce. (I always order my kebab with just meat and iceberg lettuce.) For €8.50, I simply expected more. The wrap was barely filled, the proportions were completely off – it just tasted like "garden." After three bites, I unfortunately had to throw it away.

Yesterday I got two doner kebab plates for €24, which was way too expensive. They were also very bad. The meat was sliced ​​very thinly, but about 3 cm wide and 15 cm long. It was like wide spaghetti. There was no flavor other than the garlic sauce. The onions were very thick. I definitely won't be going back. We had something from MC afterwards because we were hungry, but definitely not from Meister Döner again.

The food is excellent and very well-stocked. Most people order a doner kebab. They offer a variety of side dishes, as well as various cheeses and sauces. The downside is that sometimes you don't know who's serving you, and you should always keep your ears open when your order is called for processing. Manaus accepts cash; there's a change machine available.

Unfortunately, we didn't like the doner kebab at all! The veal/turkey meat was very salty, and the doner kebab was soggy after a few bites. They skimped on the salad, and when we asked what sauces they offered, the only response was, "Look at the jar." That's not customer-friendly. I wouldn't recommend the doner kebab, as there are much better alternatives.

The food was very tasty, although the last time it was very cold. The service was disastrous. They only care about getting things done quickly and don't listen at all to what you want on your kebab. They ask questions and answer them themselves at the same time. I ordered two kebabs, the first without spicy sauce and what do they put on it, of course spicy sauce. The second kebab only had tomatoes and cucumber salad and what do they put on it, the whole salad. 2-3 weeks ago I ordered 6 kebabs and they wanted to serve me two at a time. I was supposed to communicate with both of them at the same time and say what was going on the kebab and then one of them got offended. As I said, the food is good but the service is very bad.

I don't understand, I had originally marked it as one of the better kebabs, but I was already quite full and didn't plan to visit it. But I walked by and saw this huge queue, so I thought something exclusive was happening here. After 90 minutes of waiting, I got something that was rather below average and on top of that they didn't even have proper beef or lamb. The only thing that probably caused the huge queue was the price of 1€, which I still don't understand how is possible.

The food is okay. Sometimes the kebab tastes really good, and then there are days when I regret buying it here. But it's the best in the area.

Very tasty food, but the service this time was unfortunately disappointing. I couldn't get a chicken kebab just because a larger order of chicken was placed. Instead, I was offered only beef – essentially a 50% replacement. Even when I said I was willing to wait, I was turned away. This can't be right. In a case like this, they should either point out in advance that larger orders limit the selection for other customers, or they should refuse these orders so that the remaining customers can still get their desired food. Especially since the difference between chicken and beef is very clear. It's a shame; I've always been satisfied – even when I had to wait once. I would also like to point out: The queue should be better controlled. Sometimes people are standing right up to the exit without anyone coming in, and no one seems to care. This urgently needs to be improved, and customers should be made aware of this. Overall, very disappointing, although I've always appreciated the place.

We each ordered a medium 5-star kebab. The kebab was quite good, but not something I'd want to travel all the way from Hagen for. Unfortunately, eating it on site isn't possible due to a lack of seating.

We usually like coming to this kebab shop. But lately it's been a disaster. No proper service, everything is a mess, and people are let ahead. Why? Whenever the boss isn't there, chaos erupts. Your kebab is delicious, but lately it's just been slapped together. There's no love, and all anyone sees is the money. We wanted fries and a large kebab. We got two small ones, and the fries were colder than they came from the freezer. It only works when certain team members are there. Then the teamwork and cooperation is very good. We're considering trying it again.

They're so incredibly rude. Even if the kebab is tasty and it's the only kebab shop nearby, we won't be going there anymore. I have no idea who they think they are, but I can't believe the egos of one or two of the guys who make the kebabs. Someone should tell them they're just ordinary kebab men. If they had competition nearby, the boss would definitely tell the employees that they have to be friendly to customers.

The veal doner was good, but the chicken doner was tough and sometimes still pink on the inside. Service was nice.

I tell the seller that it's extra meat, and what does he do? He forgets, of course. If they then add more, it's not worth the price. They're also always confused when it comes to ordering. A little more involvement would be welcome!

Meister Döner is truly well-known and often receives positive reviews. I can't share that opinion at all; I would even strongly advise against going there. There's hardly anything to say about the ambiance (street and car wash), but it's worth mentioning the teenagers who often gather in large groups in front of the vending machine in the evenings. The constant queues are simply due to its popularity; I don't see them as a criticism, even if you sometimes have to wait an incredibly long time. The food tastes good, too—not the best kebab in Herne, but definitely pretty high in terms of taste. BUT: What's really bad is that we've eaten there three times over the years (twice deliberately brought it, the last time unwittingly) and each time we've had stomach problems and sometimes even severe diarrhea. Given all the positive reviews, it's certainly strange, but we had it every time with the entire team with different types of meat, so it wasn't a coincidence, which is why I highly recommend everyone to stay away. The positive reviews don't necessarily mean anything, though, since you can do so much with competitions and the like these days. I don't mean to imply anything, but you can see that Haus des Döner (a kebab house) can still rank well on Google despite blatant hygiene deficiencies. This is a similar case for us, or due to excessive customer traffic, the meat is often undercooked.

I don't understand why a place like Meister Döner doesn't understand how to properly top a kebab. Every time, you end up with nothing but meat, and way too much of it. Also, please start smearing the sauces on the bread instead of smearing them on. The quality of the kebab is still terrible.

I ordered a kebab there yesterday and was treated terribly badly. I was completely ignored because I was told to order separately. The kebab didn't taste good because the wrong one tasted like cartilage. I was always happy with it, but over time the quality and service have deteriorated. I can't recommend it anymore.

I only got cartilage instead of meat, the service was very unfriendly, and the kebab was full of oil. In the end, there was 500ml of oil on my dining table. I had a stomach ache for the next 10 hours and later had to struggle to get to the bathroom. NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!!

By far the worst kebab in all of North Rhine-Westphalia. 80% cartilage, 20% meat. Guaranteed stomach aches. People say it's juicy, but it's just disgusting fat from the meat that's been sitting on that warm plate for an hour.

Absolute disappointment! The kebab was simply inedible – full of gristle, dripping with fat, and dripping with oil. The outside seating is dirty and unkempt; you hardly want to stay there. The staff seem disinterested and barely bothered. Honestly, I can't understand all the positive reviews at all. One thing's for sure: I'm never going back here!

The meat (veal/turkey) contains pieces of fat or cartilage. It's okay if you want to stretch the meat with such a mixture to save money, but then you should at least do it properly. We had three identical doner kebabs (veal/turkey, yogurt, hot sauce, and everything). All three were topped in a different order. To ensure the taste remains consistent across all products, perhaps you should consistently spread the sauce on the bread (as it should be) and not just randomly slap it on the salad. Ultimately, you do the same things every time, so maybe keep a fixed order instead of just slicing the doner together without any care. It didn't satisfy my craving for a great doner at all. It has potential, but if you don't appreciate doner culture, maybe you shouldn't prepare it. Especially if you want to appear modern and contemporary with the payment system and the interior look.

Had a lot of cartilage/hard pieces in the meat

I ate there with my family almost every weekend, it was one of the best for us, unfortunately after a while it went downhill and it's getting worse and worse! The worst thing is that a friend was eating there and saw that his bread was moldy 🤒🤕 I don't know how that can happen 🤦🏽‍♀️ I thought to myself...!

Currently the best doner kebab in Herne/Recklinghausen. *Update 08/2024: Quality is declining. Hardly any meat in the doner. The sauces are just slapped on. Side dishes are cut into XXL sizes and also slapped in. Are you fed up? **Update 07/2025: The city of Herne is unfortunately very strict with illegal parking. Of course, the shop can't do anything about it – nevertheless, it would be desirable if they would advocate for more customer-friendly solutions with the city. As things stand, it's more likely to deter potential customers. Herne isn't exactly known for being visitor-friendly in this respect.
