The best dumplings for me so far - very authentic - taste like in China. The Biang Biang noodles are also very good. Everything clearly made by myself. Service was great. We'll definitely be back!

Smooth and delicious beef tendon meat, combined with the traditional hot and sour soup, mixed with crispy vegetables, and the noodles are always smooth and smooth. This is what I miss in the Chinese style! Excellent!

Really a cool place, although a little cooler in winter because the door opens more often. But that's because they can really cook and people also pick up their food. What convinced me were the dumpling variants 🙌

When we arrived in front of what was probably a former butcher's shop, our expectations were only moderately high, but they were far from it. The boss in particular, but also all the other employees, were extremely friendly and funny, it doesn't feel like a restaurant. As big fans of "Biang Biang" noodles, the anticipation was high, but first it was dumplings as a starter, these were outstanding! Afterwards the noodles came and what can I say... simply world class! Overall, a very successful visit, great food and short waiting times. More or less the best was brought out of the location, but all in all it was authentic. Big recommendation goes out!

I visited the restaurant "Mei" in Erlangen and was impressed by the quality of the traditional Chinese specialties. The dishes were authentic and excellently prepared. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant and inviting. Particularly noteworthy are the generous opening times: Tuesday to Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday to Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Although the restaurant is located in Erlangen, it is definitely worth a visit, even if you come from the Fürth area. I can recommend "Mei" to anyone looking for authentic Chinese cuisine.

Mei can now be found in a former small butcher's shop. The seating is quite limited but that's somehow part of the flair of this Asian snack bar. There are also a few seats outside. On the menu you will only find homemade food and that is what makes it special. The noodles are homemade, including the gyoza and baozi. You can taste it, the ingredients are very well coordinated and it tastes absolutely authentic. The traditional vinegar, which you would otherwise look for in vain as a sauce for the baozi, is also already placed at the table. The owners are very friendly and very helpful and hospitable. You immediately feel welcome. Very good, fresh and authentic food! Definitely try it!!!

Great restaurant. Authentic food and great staff. You immediately feel at home here. Both the noodles and the dumplings were very tasty. Sometimes it's quite spicy, but if you let the staff know, they'll dilute it with a little broth. We also had a small sample plate for the "Chinese specialties" (stomach, intestines, pig ears, etc.). That was very exciting to try, although it took a little getting used to. All in all, we'd love to come back! :)

It doesn't get more authentic than Chinese. For the Central European palate, Mei, with its sometimes foreign-sounding dishes, seems unusual at first, but the second you try it, feelings of happiness set in - how incredibly tasty, intense, perfect Chinese cuisine can only taste if it is untouched and authentic comes to the table. The Mei is a true gem of Chinese cuisine. I have now tried all the dishes on the menu, but I can recommend the many great noodle creations to anyone visiting Mei for the first time. I wish there were more restaurants like this in northern Bavaria. One of the greatest culinary recommendations I can give!

We happened to eat there yesterday after a performance. The food is very authentic (especially the xiao zi and bao zi reminded us of Shanghai), fresh, tasty - plus great drinks and very friendly service ☺️ The children were also welcomed and entertained in a very friendly manner. Thank you for the lovely evening!

Unfortunately, the young lady in service didn't understand that I said "take away" three times and also paid for the obligatory bag - she served everything on plates and then simply poured the food into the take away containers. But the taste of the food was very good, which is why the shop deserves a "second chance" and I will definitely take something with me again.

Six of us had lunch at Mei's today. She put together a large table outside for us and was overall very warm and nice. We ordered a lot of different dishes, both vegan and with meat (jiaozi, baozi, noodles, cucumber salad, tang yuan). Everything came to the table quickly and was delicious! You can taste that everything is homemade. I have rarely eaten such good, authentic Chinese food in Germany. We'll definitely be back!!

Simply super delicious food with very friendly service. Highly recommended. Probably the best meal this year. On sunny days you can make yourself comfortable outside with quiet traffic.

Ying is a very accommodating and professional host. The food tastes wonderful. We had glass noodle salad, noodles with beef and BiangBiang sauce, Xia Jiao, Drool-worthy chicken and for dessert Tang Yuan "black sesame" and Ma Shu Bing Qi Ling "dragon fruit + caramel". All highly recommended! We felt very welcome and will come back!

We stopped for lunch while passing through because of the good reviews. 5 adults and 3 children. Very authentic food, but the children lacked enthusiasm for the food. Different types of dumplings are recommended; we would advise against pasta dishes. The boss recommended a mixture of dishes, which would definitely be discouraged by all visitors. Crisp bill of 160€ 😉

My husband and I ordered ice tea for the drinks, and it's amazingly refreshing. It doesn't look like ice tea though, does it? We then had shrimps shumay and noodles (I requested to put extra spicy for my noodles lol). The foods are tasty! I wish my stomach is bigger than my eyes so I could order some more. The highlight of the menu is the mochi ice cream! Coconut mochi ice cream is my favorite 😍 We are satisfied with everything; services and foods. The lady is very sweet and helpful.

Finally authentic Chinese cuisine in Franconia! There are no mixed dishes from Asia, only from China. For me it was 100% worth making the extra trip to Erlangen. Everything was done with heart. The dumplings are not frozen dumplings and are all homemade. The employees are extremely friendly and really have a lot of love. ☺️ would love to go to Erlangen again.

One of the most flavorful dishes I had in Erlangen! It was my first time here, so I asked the staff for recommendations. They were extremely helpful and friendly explaining the menu and giving me some of their favourite dishes. I had an appetizer of pork Bao-Zi, which were fluffy, moist and packed with flavor. For noodles, I had Biang noodles with pork, which was as I hoped. The noodles, which are homemade, were chewy and can hold the flavor of the sauce. The only small thing from my visit is the Ice-tea, which from my preference was a bit too sweet. But this is very personal, but keep it in mind Overall, I will visit again for sure! And try more things, which I saw were more "adventures".

Sweet little family-run spot with delicious homemade Chinese Noodles and more. The biangbiang noodles are the best! The biangbiang sauce is very spicy and my husband loves it. It's hard to find truly spicy dishes here. I've had the peanut, coconut curry and light Suppe (similar to a chicken noodle soup) with noodles and they are all SO GOOD!!

The biang biang noodles were extremely well prepared, al dente and flavorful, the sauce was a flavor explosion and the vegetables and beef were very tasty and of very good quality. You can put together your own pasta dish and choose between different sauces and protein sources, including vegetarian and vegan options. There are also dumplings and other very authentic delicacies, I will definitely come back when I'm in town. The service was attentive, quick and very friendly and warm. We were there spontaneously yesterday at 11:00 a.m. and received a very warm welcome. We were advised by the owner when choosing the food and we all ended up with very tasty drinks and food. Most of the dishes labeled as vegetarian are already vegan or very easy to veganize. We were thrilled and would love to come back.

Now we were able to spend an incredibly great evening at Chinese New York with a 4-course menu, lovely service and live entertainment. That was incredibly great! Tonight we had the bao zi, cucumber salad, chao shou, chicken feet and the biang biang noodles with tofu and biang biang sauce. Everything was very good but I was particularly impressed by the homemade BiangBiang noodles! However, my absolute highlight were the bao zi! They were incredibly fluffy and fresh and the filling (vegetarian) went perfectly with them. Dipped or as they are they are a pleasure!!! The chicken feet were very seasoned and also impressed me with their taste! The two ladies who welcomed us today couldn't have been friendlier and more attentive. You can immediately see how proud they are (rightly) of their small restaurant with all its authenticity and craftsmanship. Overall, our experience today was very good and definitely worth several more visits!

The food was delicious, despite being allergic to sesame we were able to find something. My friend who is from Taiwan obviously has higher expectations, but he was able to enjoy local food. However, it was a little more expensive than expected.

Das Essen ist dort sehr authentisch und sehr lecker. Es gibt Gerichte, die bei dem mittlerweile fast standardmäßigen Asia Restaurants nicht vorhanden sind, wie zum Beispiel Schweineohren oder Schweinefüße. Sehr lecker sind die hausgemachte Nudeln. Man wird sehr freundlich bedient und fühlt sich einfach willkommen.

Für Liebhaber einer authentischen ,traditionellen chinesischen Küche wirklich sehr zu empfehlen .Vor allem auch die diversen handgemachten Spezialitäten. Die etwas nüchtern wirkende Atmosphäre des Restaurants wird bei weitem wieder wettgemacht durch die schmackhaften Speisen , fernöstlichen Küchendüfte und das überaus freundliche Personal.

Wir sind aufgrund der sehr guten Bewertungen gekommen, leider waren wir recht enttäuscht: Das Essen war ziemlich geschmacklos, es fehlte an Würze und Frische. Die Atmosphäre hat mehr Imbiss-Charakter für einen kurzen Aufenthalt. Die Preise dafür sind allerdings ziemlich hoch. Der Service war aber sehr freundlich. Karten-Zahlung ist aber nicht möglich, was wir als nicht standardmäßig empfinden.

Das beste chinesische Essen, das ich bis jetzt gegessen habe. Alles wird super frisch und schnell zubereitet. Die Bedienung ist sehr nett.

Ich bin aufgrund einer Empfehlung eines Bekannten auf dieses kleine chinesische Restaurant gestoßen, und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Die Atmosphäre erinnert an ein authentisches chinesisches Lokal, no-frills, was ich persönlich schätze. Es gibt eine vielfältige Auswahl an Dianxin; meine Wahl fiel auf ein Nudelgericht, da ich darauf neugierig gewesen war. Die Biang Biang Nudeln in Sauce schmeckten "original", und haben mich angenehm überrascht. Die Betreiberin war aufmerksam und freundlich. Sie gab hilfreiche Empfehlungen, und es entwickelte sich ein angenehmes Gespräch. Ich plane, beim nächsten Besuch einige Dianxin-Gerichte auszuprobieren, und kann diesen Imbiß ebenso weiterempfehlen.

Exzellente traditionelle, authentische chinesische Küche. Die Betonung liegt auf traditionell. Anders als die meisten anderen chinesischen Restaurants. Schmeckt super. Suppen, Gerichte oder zum selber zusammenstellen. Kann ich wirklich empfehlen. Die Inhaber sind sehr nett.

Essen geschmacklich wirklich überragend! Und der Service mindestens ebenbürtig: die Bedienungen haben sich richtig freundlich um uns gekümmert und uns bei der Auswahl und Menge der Gerichte perfekt beraten. Bei Mei gibt es eine beeindruckende Auswahl an Spezialitäten, die ich bisher in keinem asiatischen Restaurant in der Umgebung gesehen habe. Die Frische des Essens und die Qualität sind spürbar und wird schnell serviert. Der freundliche Service bei Mei ist wirklich einzigartig. Man fühlt sich wie bei seiner Familie.

Super leckeres Essen, sehr herzliche Bedienung. Vor allem die Biang Biang Nudeln sind zu empfehlen! Das Restaurant ist in einer früheren Metzgerei was man auch noch erkennt. Wer industrial urban charm mag, dem wird’s gefallen.

If you're considering dining at a Chinese restaurant, I would advise against choosing this particular establishment. During my visit, when attempting to pay with a credit card, the owner insisted on cash, which was inconvenient as I did not have any at the time. Additionally, the owner proposed accepting payment in RMB through WeChat or Alipay, which raised concerns about the LEGALITY of such transactions. Furthermore, a friend of mine asked if she could have some water added to her drink after finishing it. Surprisingly, the owner added an extra 2 euros to the bill for this service, which seemed unreasonable considering it was just tap water. In our experience, this was the most unpleasant Chinese restaurant we have ever encountered. The pricing of over 30 euros per person for this restaurant seems disproportionate to the quality of both the décor and the food.
