Mega Döner in Zwickau

Two years ago, I left a 5-star review here, which would now be completely inappropriate. After the previous owner handed over the business, things steadily went downhill. This isn't just about the taste (although there are downsides compared to before, I don't think it's as bad as it's made out to be). What's completely unacceptable is the service and customer focus. Sometimes the person preparing your food sits bored outside the shop until customers arrive and then acts completely unmotivated. Often, they get calls from "colleagues" while they're preparing your food. From that point on, they stop focusing on the food and prioritize chatting with their "friends." Seriously?! At the very least, when customers are there waiting for their food, they should stop talking on the phone. It's incredibly disrespectful to the customer, and I've never experienced anything like it.

Never again, our kebab was cold, the shop looks very dirty,

We bought two kebabs to take away. We live five minutes away. The meat was ice cold and tasted only of caraway. Absolutely awful. The shop itself didn't look good either. I would never buy anything there again.

When we wanted to order three doner kebabs, a man stood up from his chair in the back, looking even more bored, and approached us to take our order. We had to explain everything twice because (we felt) he barely understood German. The preparation took forever, so the third piece of flatbread was burnt. He didn't understand that we didn't want that burnt piece for our young son and that he would have to make a new piece. The preparation time for these three doner kebabs took about 15 minutes. The flavor of the doner kebab was subpar. The garlic sauce was very thin and tasted only of dill and not garlic. Never again!

Today is the best day because Ukrainians are working. The shawarma made from Ukrainian products, despite the fact that it doesn't contain chicken, is simply wonderful. The taste is incredible, the lavash is crispy, and the meat and vegetables are very fresh and juicy! Very tasty, I recommend it to everyone.

Yesterday, a young man and a young woman prepared a doner kebab for me. I want to say everything was simply fantastic! The food was delicious, the preparation was quick, and the bill was also prompt. It's also very clean.

Since the new owner took over, about a month ago, it's been nothing but crap! Smaller portions, poorly prepared, and opened whenever the mood strikes! I was always very satisfied, but since the change, I really can't recommend it anymore!

War seit langem einmal wieder beim Mega Döner und muss sagen, dass er sich sehr verbessert hat. Extrem lecker. Fleisch gut durchgebraten und die Soße auch sehr frisch und mit viel Knoblauch.
