I was there twice for a transit and both experiences were pretty bad unfortunately. I once had to leave before getting my order as it took over 20 mins to get one burger. The other time I got a wrong burger which I found out later and could not get the right one.

I placed an order for table service at the self-service kiosk. Unfortunately, the order wasn't ready within 30 minutes. When I inquired, I was told they didn't offer table service and that the order had already been discarded. The employee then became very unfriendly and refused to process the order again. Only after I threatened to complain was the order finally processed, but with a delay and a long wait at the counter.

DO NOT go there for large orders!!!!!!! We ordered their food for almost 100 euros. SEVERAL items were forgotten. 1 entire Friends Meal, 3 drinks, several fries, and a cheeseburger. With such a large order, you get way too many bags within bags, with everything hidden somewhere, to check on the spot. We drove home and then saw what was missing. We drove back for 30 minutes and argued. They said they would have packed it "in any case." No, no, and... NO! I hope the next Burger King opens in your restaurant. So antisocial. But it fits Duisburg. Don't let them fool you. By the way, we didn't get 3 drinks, etc. :) Just the Friends menu after all that discussion and their typing. Cheeky.

My girlfriend and I had to catch an important bus at 2:02 am. We just wanted to eat something quickly after a concert. People who ordered AFTER us got their food first. Fries were cold and soggy. Burgers were dry and disgusting. This is not FAST food at all. With my happy meal, I wanted a tiny tan and got some UGLY WOLF. Sorry, but it's worse than McDonald's lol.

The employees often simply don't give out the matching goodies at McDonald's collaborations! When we buy, they don't mention at all that there are no extras – we buy the meal precisely because of the collaboration, and only after paying do they suddenly say, "It's not available." After asking several times, they reluctantly bring it out. Honestly, why is that? We're paying for the collaboration meal – why should we beg for the accompanying gift? McDonald's, do you actually know that your marketing campaigns are so ruined by the employees? The experience was just truly disappointing!

A disastrous company. You order a coffee and it's not ready within 10 minutes, and then you're offered a stale one. The employees do everything else except prepare and hand out the menus. There are easily ten people working at a time, all at once. It's a McDonald's station, so things have to happen quickly to catch the train.

We were there after the MSV vs. Rostock game. Sure, there was a lot going on in the city, at the main train station, and lots of fans just wanting to grab something quickly after the game. But yesterday was a complete disaster! You had to wait 45 minutes for your order; at one point, the number for "Preparing" disappeared from the screen. Several people had to go to the staff and ask where their order was. After all, you had paid! They had to improvise quickly, and the food was prepared. People who had placed their orders 30 minutes later were served first. At some point, McDonald's had to close its doors (probably due to police, because of away fans), so no one was allowed in. - All good - but no one was allowed or able to leave either! That can't and shouldn't be allowed! You had to yell (!) in the store that you wanted to leave until an employee came and opened the door and let you out. Absolutely terrible work last night!

Not recommended!! The food tastes good and is served warm, but you have to wait at least 15 minutes for a single burger! Despite plenty of kitchen staff, it's impossible to serve guests in a reasonable time, so there are sometimes around 30 customers waiting in front of the pickup terminal at the same time! All in all, very poor organization and definitely not recommended for a quick snack!

Never again! Service = 0. I've experienced quite a few things in the store over the years, whether it was a big rösti without rösti (which, of course, wasn't noticed until I got home), a long-time employee who, without asking, rambled on the customer with his opinion of the "coronavirus lie," or orders being completely forgotten (which is particularly impractical during a lunch break with limited time). Mistakes happen and are human; what matters is how you deal with them. Yesterday, my order was forgotten again. The number remained on the display continuously, people came and went. A good 12 people who came after me were served. It was a standard order with no special requests. After asking for more than 15 minutes, it was finally served. Still, 20 minutes for 20 nuggets – I have a different idea of a fast-food restaurant. Last time, the shift manager was extremely uncomfortable and, as part of the promotion at the time, offered a second glass as compensation and sincerely apologized. Now, an unbelievable and half-hearted "sorry" and nothing more. On the contrary, the employee felt he'd rather just fool around the whole time. That was the last time I visited the branch.

I have to honestly say I find it beyond disgusting that I get cold food. The fries 🍟 were so soft and soggy. There was vomit all over the place by the door. The staff were so unfriendly, and you've never experienced this restaurant with such cleanliness. I paid €98.30 for nothing, and everything was inedible. I ordered a chocolate milkshake in a reusable cup. The shake, which I received after a relatively long wait, tasted of berries and vanilla, but not at all like chocolate. Furthermore, the cup had a disposable lid, which I didn't want, and I was given a disposable straw. After I asked for a replacement, I (presumably) received a new shake, which tasted the same.

VERY bad experience!! I entered the store and got in line when a young worker with a black beard approached me with a full tray. When he asked me to step aside, I did just that, only apparently not in the direction he wanted me to, so he couldn't be lazy and had to take a step FURTHER around me. So he kept pushing me so hard I had to say incredulously, "Yeah, I'm definitely not moving out of the way AS A CUSTOMER!!," because he had plenty of room on the other side. He did that, but then turned around and stopped to ask, "What did you just say?" and glared at me angrily!! Is this employee publicly confronting me as a customer? — UNBELIEVABLE, OUTRAGEOUS!!! Workers like that have NO business being in customer service!! Otherwise I would have given 4 STARS for the rest of the friendly staff, but thanks to that one person there are only 2!

Today, I ordered a Filet o' Fish meal and sat down at a table on the second floor to wait for my order. It took 15 minutes to place my order, and by the end, there was no sauce, so I had to go downstairs to get it myself. When I opened the box with the burger, I saw only one piece of cheese in it, even though I had ordered "double cheese." I went back downstairs to check, to which the manager probably replied that they usually put half a piece of cheese in a burger, and since I had ordered double cheese, they put a whole piece of cheese in mine. So, I wanted to know, how long have people been paying extra to get one piece of cheese in a burger instead of half? And it's not about the 30 cents, it's about how idiotic the situation is. My mood was ruined, thank you very much!

Subject: Complaint about rude staff and poor service at McDonald's Duisburg. Dear Sir or Madam, I would like to complain about a very unpleasant experience at your Duisburg branch on July 18, 2025. I placed my order and had to wait an unusually long time for it. While I was waiting, orders from customers who had ordered after me were already being taken out. Since I had to catch my train soon, I politely asked the staff how long it would take. Instead of a friendly response, I was treated very rudely. Whenever I'm working in person, I like to start the day with breakfast here at McDonald's in Duisburg. It's super conveniently located, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is pleasantly calm in the morning. I especially like the Bacon & Egg McMuffin and the hot coffee – just what I need to start the workday awake and in a good mood. Ordering via the terminal is quick, and the food is always freshly prepared. The cleanliness and service also leave nothing to be desired. For me, it's the ideal place for a quick, delicious breakfast before the office routine begins. I highly recommend it if you're in the area in the morning!

The issue is that in the restaurant in question, ordinary guests apparently have unhindered access to areas that are actually intended only for employees or authorized personnel—clearly private spaces. To my astonishment, it seemed as if no one cared that guests were there, even though it is neither permitted nor appropriate. And the food was unbearable! One star – Absolute disappointment! I'm really disappointed with McDonald's. I was looking forward to a "New Blue Sour Dragon Tongue" ice cream – ordered it, paid for it, and expected to get a bright blue, eye-catching ice cream like the ones advertised in the pictures. What did I get instead? A completely normal white ice cream – nothing blue, nothing special, just standard. Let's be honest: If you're advertising something new, eye-catching, and distinctive in color, then the product should be delivered exactly like that! I didn't just order an ice cream – I was hoping for an experience, something new, something that would deliver what it promised. Instead, I was disappointed. No explanation, no apology, just the wrong ice cream handed to me. That's not how you treat customers. If you can't deliver what you're advertising, then don't do it at all. Today I saw this guy again and recognized him as he did to 3 foreign students exactly same what he did to me 3 years ago: he sent the descent guys away with no food recommending them to start learning German, adding that if they live in Germany, they need to speak German, not English. Really outrageous... the Pokémon card promotion is currently running in the Happy Meal... My friend and I each ordered 1 Happy Meal at these order columns and selected that we would like to have the cards as toys...then another toy was simply put in front of me when I picked it up...then we asked why it was selectable at the order column...and a blonde employee claimed that all the cards were gone.. ..Shortly afterwards my friend's order was ready... and he suddenly got the cards put in the bag by another employee...then we said...AHA, so there are cards after all!!!! Unfortunately, my visit to McDonald's was disappointing. The staff was rude and unprofessional. It's a shame that this kind of behavior still occurs in Germany. Hopefully the friendliness and service will be improved!

We have received several products either incorrectly or not at all. When we asked the staff about it, we were told: “We are out of fries and Coke Zero.” However, this was incorrect as fries were in stock. Nevertheless, we didn't get medium fries twice, nor a regular Coke (not even Diet Coke). We did not receive a refund for the missing fries. In addition, the food was in poor condition as it had obviously been sitting around for a long time.

There was a lot going on this Sunday at 6 p.m. The staff can't do anything about that, of course it takes longer. But when I went to say that I had to catch my train and whether they would quickly prepare my order of 3 burgers, unfortunately one wasn't given to me. I created 2 chicken burgers and 1 cheeseburger, I ordered one using a coupon and paid for the third with my points. But I only got 2 burgers, points are gone and I couldn't argue because I had to get to the train. Unfortunately you can't give 2.5 stars, 3 would be too much after all I only received part of the paid order.

I was here early morning and the space was spotlessly clean. There appeared to be a space for a cashier but nobody was there so I ordered through the automated machine and picked-up the food from the pick-up counter. The food and coffee were consistent with McDonalds style/quality I have experienced around the world.

I was there earlier, ordered a menu with 2 small cheeseburger fries and Lipton iced tea €5.99 via the mc smart app, I go out to catch my train, look in the bag on the train and what do I see, a cheeseburger [lukewarm] mayonnaise and the drink 🫡 😡🤬 If the train hadn't left, I would have come back upset... that doesn't work. Completely non-existent, there were 4 others in front of me, so you could get stressed or something like that. Otherwise tidy and clean 😉

Yesterday we were at McDonalds in Duisburg at the train station. The employees are totally unmotivated, you could tell that they don't want to work. The shop looked impossible, everything was dirty and sticky. Our order took quite a long time and things were missing or we got the wrong shakes and the burgers were cold. So that's impossible for a shop like that and we won't go there anymore.

Very busy in this McDonalds. People push forward as if it is the most normal thing in the world. Fries are very soft. My order was otherwise correct. There was rubbish everywhere. Luckily I don't come here often anymore

I ordered food via the app, but the person at the order counter couldn't handle it and was rude. I came by car and received nothing. While I was waiting, her colleague pointed out that she hadn't cleaned her tray properly. When she came to me, she seemed to take her bad mood out on me, or that's how she always sees this work. In the past, when I was ordering, I met a gentleman who was very friendly and accommodating.

Today we ordered food for delivery over the phone. The lady on the phone was so unfriendly that we will never order food there again. The order asked for 1 gyro pita without tzatziki, 1 gyro pita with just meat and iceberg lettuce, and a currywurst with fries. As I repeated the order over the phone, the lady on the phone became increasingly unfriendly because she thought I was ordering 3 gyro pita. You could tell she was in a really bad mood. The food was accordingly... very burnt leftover meat that was inedible. We eat there often. But this time, one rudeness was too much.

We ordered there despite the mixed reviews and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered the Hawaiian pizza and the Pizza Chef. The pizzas arrived just 20 minutes after we placed our order. Both were still hot and tasted exceptionally good. We therefore give them a good rating and a clear recommendation.

It was a mistake for me to go there. Everyone's opening a store like that these days. Maybe the health department should take a look. I agree with the other negative reviews! !!!! The supplement gave me intestinal problems for three days. And I was just trying it. With the positive reviews, you just have to look at who's reviewing them 😉 Guys, let's spend a little more money and get better quality! After all, there are some good ones.
