McDonald's in Herten

Damn store, I ordered at 9 PM and by 11:15 PM still nothing had arrived.

You order something, pay for it, then get a message saying the order is canceled, but the money's gone. It's outrageous! You pay for nothing and then have to wait three days for your money back. It couldn't be more outrageous.

Richter is a complete mess! Orders are always wrong, and today they didn't even deliver. Then you call to ask what's going on and they tell you to cancel. Seriously, what kind of way is that to treat customers? Absolutely appalling.

I just wanted to order a coffee at the checkout. After 5 minutes, I left because no one seemed to feel responsible for taking my order. There were four other people behind me. I figured I could manage without the coffee.

There's nothing wrong with the food, but this is probably the 3rd or 4th time that my child hasn't had a toy in his Happy Meal, and he always looks forward to that and is then disappointed.

I have to say, it's appalling how bad this McDonald's branch is. I've been going here for years and have overlooked a lot over the years, but enough is enough. One thing is that I usually have to check that everything is actually there before I go, but this time… The server was friendly, but that was about it. The lid on the chocolate milkshake coffee I ordered wasn't even on properly, and the cup was so soggy that it immediately collapsed, spilling the whole mess all over my lap and then half the car… I got home cursing and got out of my car to pick up the Happy Meal, when everything just fell out of the bottom because the carrier wasn't closed properly either. The fries were already upside down in the box, so none of this surprised me anymore. But when I went to take my three cheeseburgers out of the bag… I mean, the cow was already dead… there’s no need to slaughter it again… they certainly didn’t look appetizing anymore… rigor mortis had already set in… it wasn’t warm.

Big praise to Mr. Puth for his courteous and polite manner. The food was also very good.

The food is just the usual. The staff is exceptionally friendly, it's very clean, and tables are cleaned and cleared promptly. Of all the McDonald's, this is our favorite.

Whether in-store or at the drive-thru, the wait time was a complete disaster. We ordered two burgers at the drive-thru today and sat in our car waiting for a whopping 45 minutes. Two cars behind us got their orders earlier and had a large bag. The friendliness also left a lot to be desired. Just another terrible store. 😡

The McDonald's drive-thru was a disaster. I wanted to pay, and the woman told me to drive on! When I asked if I shouldn't pay, she said, "Haven't you paid yet?" How could I, when no one was ringing me up and I was just pulling up? Then we got our order. The food was worse than the employee (see picture).

I'm very satisfied with my visit to this McDonald's branch. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. My order was prepared quickly, and the food was fresh, hot, and delicious. I particularly appreciate the ample parking and the clean and well-maintained restrooms – neither of which is a given. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable visit. Top-notch – I'd gladly return :)

Bad service, staff were a bit rude!

We ordered again yesterday and were unfortunately disappointed once again. I don't want to complain about the quality at all; you know what you're getting into. The problem, however, was that not everything was delivered. First, they tell you it will be delivered later, then they say we can't deliver because we no longer have our own drivers. You get your money back via the ordering platform, which is fine, of course, but doesn't make up for the disappointing evening. For me, this means that the quality of the employees is continuing to decline, and instead of the items you ordered, you're only being served lies. It's a shame, but I no longer recommend them for ordering.

I absolutely cannot recommend it. Almost always, something you ordered is missing, the staff are completely uncoordinated, a total disaster...

We waited a long time. First, they forgot to give us drinks. We came back. When we opened the package at home, there wasn't a single burger. Very inattentive.

I ordered food for myself and my night colleagues at 9:20 p.m. That was all well and good. The estimated delivery time at that time was 10:10 p.m. When I wanted to check how long it would take shortly before 10 p.m., it simply said that delivery would not take place until 11:20 p.m. ...just an hour later. That's not even the worst thing. But at 10:38 p.m. I got a text message saying that my order had been canceled (without giving a reason). I tried calling there several times...no one answered the phone...that's happened twice already. I'd rather order from the Mc in Recklinghausen in the future and have lukewarm food than be canceled at short notice and ignored👍🏻.

My work socks are fresher than the moldy cheeseburgers. The onions were only scraped off, the pickles were missing, and the burgers were cold.

Update 12/08/25: We were there for the second time in a week. Just like on Saturday, it was disastrous. On Saturday, at 12:20 a.m., we were practically made to feel like we weren't welcome. We ordered a Fish Mac and a six-pack of nuggets. We had to wait 25 minutes for this order, even though the place was empty. Today, 12/08/25, we were there again, because everyone can have a bad day. But what can I say? We ordered another Fish Mac. The burger was cold and hard. It wasn't fresh! Our child bit into it and immediately broke it off because his teeth were hurting. After three years, we've now been to McDonald's in Herten several times. To make sure the improved behavior wasn't a flash in the pan, we've waited to write a review. But I have to say, we're more than pleasantly surprised. Not only does ordering work perfectly, but you also get hot food. This and missing items from the order were the most serious criticisms. Today, they could work on the cleanliness a bit, but that was just a tray of packaging left on a table that hadn't been cleared away. Otherwise, it was really clean there. Keep up the good work. 2019 Guys, this is unacceptable. I've ordered 5 meals, and despite checking, something is still missing. This isn't the first time. All attempts to resolve the issue with management have failed, and nothing has changed. I'm never going there again.

If I could, I wouldn't give it a star. Every time, you wait forever, and then either something's missing or the fries are cold.

I've been disappointed for several months – especially with the fries. They're always too pale, not crispy, sometimes even raw inside. Apparently they're not fried properly. I've complained about this several times, but nothing changes – they're served exactly the same. The burgers are often poorly made, too: ingredients only on one side, sloppily topped, and no effort is evident in either the look or taste.

I just waited there for 20 minutes for three burgers. I took a delicious bite into the first one and almost threw up. The burger was still half raw and, to be honest, just tasted like rotten meat. The health department should take a look. I did get my money back, but the word "sorry" wasn't in the vocabulary of the skilled workers. Instead, they gave me a stupid look because I didn't eat the rotten McFrosty.

The food was cold, the waitress was obviously overwhelmed and unfriendly to boot. When it's barely busy, you should at least be able to expect a simple order to be taken correctly – telling the difference between ketchup and mayo, a cheeseburger and something spicy isn't rocket science. The quality is zero. It takes away your appetite – and that says it all.

We wanted a quick bite to eat last night. We waited 25 minutes, even though the place wasn't packed. Afterwards, we got a burger that was actually meant for someone else and was already waiting for pickup. That's not really acceptable. The food wasn't warm. At least there were no excuses. They offered to make us a new one, but we didn't want to wait another 10 minutes.

I can't recommend this branch. The staff are very rude and disrespectful, and the food is cold!

It's absolutely outrageous that I don't get what I expect for my money. The fries aren't cooked all the way through, the burger meat tastes like shoe sole, and the bun is slightly black. I think they should put more effort into this, because for those prices, they expect good food! You can tell from the preparation how the food is sold, so pay more attention to that! Best regards

Preparation took only a few minutes, the restaurant is clean, and offers plenty of seating both inside and outside. The restrooms were clean.

A really good and solid McDonald's. Everything seems clean and tidy. The service is friendly and the food is delicious. The atmosphere is pleasant and not too loud. All in all, a great fast food restaurant.

Overall, the visit was okay, but there were a few things that could be improved. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I highly commend them for that. However, there were some shortcomings in the preparation and service. I ordered ice cream twice, but it consisted mostly of chocolate sauce—roughly 30% ice cream and 70% sauce. That was disappointing. The burgers were also unfortunately very cold, which significantly diminished the enjoyment. We also had to pick up our orders ourselves, even though several employees were present. They were chatting with other guests, some of them children, but unfortunately, there didn't seem to be time for service at the counter. I understand that it can be stressful during peak times, but a little more focus on the work process and the quality of the food would significantly improve the overall impression.

Unfortunately this McDonald's smells incredibly disgusting and if you ask the staff about it they simply reply "I don't know, I can't smell" my appetite has been completely ruined, I wouldn't recommend it!!!!!!

I've rarely gotten food as quickly and as hot as here. The staff was also very friendly. June 6, 2025, at 8 p.m. Many other McDonald's restaurants could learn a thing or two from this!!! 👍👍👍

McDonald's is becoming more and more of a vending machine restaurant. Well, that may be due to the changing times. What doesn't work at all is the 0.5 liter. Bottle of VIO water for sale for €4.24 (usually €0.60 - €1.20). Making money is legitimate but this is excessive.

Seems like a long wait, the food (burgers) were cold, despite being asked, the service person just said that's just the way it is...

McDonalds at a good spot next to the tankstation. Food is decent, milkshake vanilla was not very good, could taste the vanilla but it felt a bit fake. The workers had their hands full on the dirty tables and the tableservice.

Looks nice, but wanted to order something but didn't have a lock for my scooter, so I asked if I could use the drive in. You said yes, then you just ghosted me like I wasn't there. Didn't get any food and the staff didn't speak to me. Not even when I asked if I could order inside. What a service...

There are better shops, especially shops that look better and even then I rarely eat at Mecces if you make your own burgers in the kitchen it tastes better

Overall everything was clean as always The food was hot and everything was made fresh. Very nice staff, I like going there. Unfortunately, the construction site is on the doorstep. And you have to go back via Westerholt but everything else is great.

I waited for minutes at the McColl's drive-thru. I kept being kept waiting with the words "just a moment, please." When I said it was pointless, I was told they should know. So, from now on, avoid the store.

Actually, I was often in this branch. Unfortunately, you notice that the quality of service and freshness are getting worse and worse. You don't need to expect napkins. Sauces are only added sporadically. Sometimes the fries and burgers are really great... other days they're completely cold! But the worst thing is the overtaxing of the employees and the resulting incorrectly executed orders. Not to mention the waiting time. I was in this store for the last time today and will go to a more organized branch in the future. Really a shame.

Hello today, I was at McDonald’s and ordered 2xChesseburgers, 1xChickenNuggets with fries and barbecue sauce. I paid €15.06 and got 2x hamburgers, 1x chicken nuggets with sweet and sour sauce and no fries. You can't go wrong much more than that. Maybe the employee should clean the toilets instead of working at the Mc Drive counter. And unfortunately not checked the money is gone again. You won't be called back even though you have your phone number. On which AB has to specify. Thanks MC

Yes, I can definitely recommend this McDonalds store! The service is fast, friendly and the food is hot and not almost cold like some other McDonald's branches! The toilets 🚽 are also really clean, which is not the case at other McDonalds locations and you feel disgusted going to the toilet there!

We were there briefly earlier, it was very cold, I even had to keep my jacket on while eating, not nice!

Just now at 12:30 p.m. a male McDonald's employee was driving through Resse (Geusenkamp). He was apparently too lazy (in the car) to drive around a road blocked off by a bollard and simply drove over the sidewalk. When he noticed that I wanted to take a video and was crossing the street, he drove past me and my dog at breakneck speed, with no regard for the consequences. There were four other pedestrians besides me who could see what was happening. So if you're offering a delivery service, try to do it without endangering others. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable.

Actually, it was quite tasty, and the service was also very nice. Unfortunately, I found an animal in my food. I reported it, but they just gave me something new. They didn't tell me, and the cashier looked very annoyed. I was disappointed and couldn't enjoy my meal any longer.

I paid, but dessert was still missing, and suddenly I was out another 4 euros for the store. The food wasn't even warm; if it wasn't hot, at least it was warm. The big meat was so poorly made, and the meat patties were so thin, I can't find the right words for it. Simply awful.

I was at McDrive today and wanted to place my order. Naturally, I waited at the counter for about 2-3 minutes. Maybe I forgot or was busy. I once nudged him with a "Hello?" Sorry to have to work alone, but you can still control your tone and calmly tell the customers properly!!! I work in a doctor's office myself, and I know how stressful it can be at work sometimes. But to let the stress out on others, or rather, on the customer, you should react in a more professional manner. There are other ways to do it!!!

Worst McDonald's for miles around! At the drive-thru you always wait forever for your turn (I estimate 10 minutes per car), even though it's busy during the week! It's even worse since they started delivery, as they seem to give priority to that service! Normal McDonald's with all current dishes and toilets and parking lot. Just outside the city center. Reachable on foot in about 10 minutes.
