Unfortunately, this McDonald's rarely, if ever, manages to have the right toy advertised in the store. They're constantly fobbed off with other things that are still in stock. It's a disgrace considering the prices! Unfortunately, it's mostly been a disappointment for children in recent years!

It's an absolute disgrace. We ordered food from the McDrive on a Friday night. We waited 30 minutes before we could even place an order at the terminal, only to be told they only had two people working. Never coming back!

The food was nothing special. I hadn't been to McDonald's in a while, but this was a disappointment... the burgers were really small. That's what I call shrinkflation! The staff was incredibly unmotivated... a disappointing visit, what a shame!

What a terrible McDonald's. I went here on August 31, 2025, at 9:00 PM. The staff is completely unfriendly, with employees constantly on their phones. When your order is ready after a long wait, they throw it down on the counter, don't call out your number, but shout it out in a grumpy tone, and look at you with a very grumpy expression. The staff is completely unmotivated and completely unresponsive. They walk around with an attitude that they don't care. This is evident when I had to wait almost half an hour for my order, even though it wasn't even busy. I'll never come back. It's terrible and completely unworthy of a McDonald's.

The one-euro price increase for the Smart Menu is unjustified. Rather, I'm reminded of the CEO, who declared the five dollars a top priority. Furthermore, this branch is far too small for the sheer volume of customers. Two terminals were also out of service this weekend. This makes relaxing fast-food dining no fun.

You regularly have to wait forever for your food, and sometimes it's only lukewarm. The crushed ice in my milkshake was a real blast; it completely watered down. Never again!

Terrible, chaos and forgotten orders

I really hate to complain. When I was at the branch in Kempen, I ordered a cheeseburger. I got it, but without the pickle. Many people might be complaining too much, but for me, that's the best pickle there is. Then in Kaldenkirchen, I ordered two cheeseburgers. Both without the pickle. On the same day. That's never happened to me before; I only ate half of them. Something was missing. It can happen once, sure. But three times in one day in two different branches?

I had the feeling that the team was overwhelmed.

Waited 15 minutes for two hamburgers and small fries, even though there were no customers. The owner should have his franchise revoked!

This branch is simply subterranean. You stand there, wait for your order, and observe the following: People eat in front of the customers, no hygiene is observed when packing the food; at least gloves would be nice when packing the nuggets in the box. Order numbers are called out in an exaggeratedly loud manner. It seems very slippery behind the counter, as everyone is sliding around behind the counter in their own sneakers and isn't wearing sturdy footwear (work safety). When a colleague asked her to refill her Coke Zero, since she couldn't do it, she was made fun of and the issue was passed from colleague to colleague. People throw food around, causing it to fall under the counter, but no one picks it up. German is apparently no longer spoken in this branch; you have to speak English, which is difficult, as the employees would rather speak Albanian. I also don't understand why, with 8-10 employees working there at the same time, not one of them manages to clean the tables when they're taking the time to just mess around. We'll be avoiding this branch from now on.

Unfortunately, this place has nothing to do with fast food anymore. I just wanted to quickly order two cheeseburgers after work at 1:08 a.m. and stood in the drive-thru for 15 minutes, with only two cars in front of me. Unfortunately, that's no exception! The worst McDonald's I've ever experienced. The best part is, my food was cold.

An absolute disgrace! The order board at the drive-thru has been broken for over five months, and the intercom hasn't worked for weeks – you can barely understand a word. Almost every order is wrong or incomplete. The staff speaks German so poorly that proper communication is almost impossible. For an international corporation like McDonald's, this is a disgrace. Zero organization, zero customer service – simply embarrassing!

It was pretty filthy. Tables weren't clean, there was trash everywhere, the food was cold, and half the order was wrong. And they couldn't fix it. We waited almost an hour for the right food. I'm not a McDonald's fan to begin with, but now I'm done with McDonald's.

This absolutely the worst McDonald's I have ever been to. Dirty everywhere and always at least 45 minutes for food. How can this happen? Is this fast food or fine dining?

To those responsible for staffing at McDonald's. I regret to say that my last visit to your restaurant was an absolute disaster. It was obvious that they were understaffed. I even spoke to an employee who confirmed this. This is unacceptable! The restaurant was incredibly dirty—overflowing trash cans, dirty tables, everything. I've never seen such a run-down McDonald's. I even took a video to document the condition.

I just wanted to quickly order some ice cream at the counter around 9 p.m. and left 15 minutes later. No one could take my order, the staff were in complete chaos, and the place was dirty. Nothing remained of the service and family-friendliness of yesteryear.

Order a McCarrispy with extra jalapenos and get extra pickles. Order a chili cheese hamburger and get no chili cheese. Juice bar Elmpt is better.

Disaster Waited over 45 minutes for food for the second time. Unfriendly staff reacted to my question with the annoyed line, "The Dutch are on vacation, we can't cook any faster." Upon further inquiry, the response was, "You could have taken it with you, it said right there. It's your own fault." That's great customer service. 2x negative, never again MC Nettetal.

It's now a complete disaster. If you don't speak English, you won't be able to place an order, as most of the staff don't speak German anymore. The last time I ordered, six cheeseburgers were completely forgotten. We then went back and had to wait about 20 minutes for the missing cheeseburgers.

I have been there twice already, and both times I have been very disappointed with the service, which is why I gave one star as it is the lowest otherwise it would be lower. By their behaviour and attitude they seemed very annoyed, no friendly response or anything, whereas I am trying to keep my patience with their actions. Lastly there was a coupon on the app to have a mc muffin chicken with 6 mini pancakes a drink, in the app I could select matcha as a drink but through the drive through they rejected it, apparently it is not in their system, which is quite questionable.

Overall, the worst McDonald's I've ever experienced – neither customer-friendly nor professional. This was definitely my last visit.

Who still issues the license here?! One of the shabbiest and most run-down McDonald's joints I know! The pickup display has been broken for months, and the handle on the men's restroom door is missing. This means children can no longer leave the restroom on their own. Occasionally, a few things get forgotten, and the McFlurry almost doesn't have any chocolate sauce at all. I ordered double the chocolate sauce, and there were only two small spots. Otherwise, it's pretty good.

Absolutely disastrous visit – never again! We had to wait 26 minutes for our food, even though it was barely busy. Meanwhile, there were leftover food everywhere that no one cleaned up. The place was generally dirty and unkempt. The worst: An employee spilled Coke on my clothes – without any apology. Instead of taking care of me, I was simply ignored. Even worse: When other guests complained about the wait, they were insulted in Turkish – by employees! That's disrespectful and absolutely unacceptable. Meanwhile, the guys stood in the kitchen, dispensing Coke directly from the vending machine and eating fries from the deep fryer. No interest in service, no hygiene, no decency. We've never experienced anything like this before. This restaurant is a complete tragedy. We definitely won't be coming back.

Filthy restaurant. The floor was sticky and not a single table was clean. There were flies everywhere. Way too much sauce on the burger; my daughter got sick from it. First and last time at this McDonald's.

The employees were calm, though, even though almost every table moved toward the counter at some point... You were just passing through, and I definitely wouldn't go here regularly...

A fried fly in the fries and hair are unfortunately not so appetizing

I ate the menu twice with my partner. The burger was okay, the fries were cold and bland, but it was brought to the table quickly. A visit to the restroom is not recommended, as a gas station is more hygienic. The floor in the restaurant was sticky and there was dirt everywhere, both on the floor and the tables. Definitely an isolated incident. After being the first in the group to order, my order still hadn't arrived 25 minutes later. I politely asked at the counter when my order would arrive. It was already ready at the counter, and I got it. Conclusion: The ice in my drink was almost melted. The burger and fries were cold, and the cheese on the burger was bone dry. They don't take orders; they have turned off the terminals and the drive-thru is closed. They just pick fights with people and cause problems for customers. The employees in the back are already cleaning everything even though the mcs is still open for another hour. A customer complained that his table was dirty and the manager simply wiped the table with his hand and said, "Here, dude," and walked away. Very, very unfriendly people. They threw us out because we were waiting like normal people.

Sometimes we eat here when we go back to the Netherlands but this weekend was the last time you can easily wait 30 to 45 minutes for your order despite there being enough staff walking around there is not really any speed in it also they work here without a garbage bin you can put your tray in a special rack. But there too they are not really speed in it behind our table people were building a tower of garbage because it was simply not cleared up. Staff just ignored it it was even moderately busy or nothing to do. Then the toilet these are always dirty for the times we have been. Last weekend I was in the men's toilet and the chamber pot literally had 4 layers of dust on the pot so the hygiene is also very poor. This made me and my family decide to take it elsewhere in Venlo and skip this one

AN ETERNAL WAITING TIME!! The shift manager then walked through with a plastic box and collected all the cell phones. The employees were constantly on their phones, EVEN THOUGH many orders were incorrect, the store was very, very busy, and yet everyone was on their phones and 'chilling'. A catastrophe. A real catastrophe. Good on the shift manager.

I've rarely seen such a dirty McDonald's. All the tables were greasy and filthy. There was trash and leftover food everywhere. The tray cart overflowed. Outside, the overfilled ashtray was flying everywhere. It's bad enough that people behave like this and leave the restaurant like this. But the staff didn't feel responsible, even after being warned, even though there was nothing going on and there were plenty of them. A real shame!!

Very slow, waited a long time for food

First of all, I'm extremely disappointed. The staff on June 26th between 1:00 and 2:00 a.m. (the time of the visit) were completely overwhelmed. The foreman (wearing a white checked shirt) could have been soled while working. If these were my employees, they would have been fired. The kitchen looks like it's been attacked. The coffee machine wasn't cleaned, so no one did anything about it, but they billed me, and the money wasn't returned. The milkshake was just cold milk, that's it. The apple turnover was ice cold. If something doesn't happen soon, the place will go under.

The visit was a disaster. After waiting for half an hour, we asked where our food was and got it after another 10 minutes. Unfortunately, half of it was missing, so we went back and complained. The staff were very friendly and we felt sorry for them. Many products were missing (e.g. kids' water for the Happy Meals), so the few staff there were constantly frantically searching for things. There was a lot of paperwork; instead of a display board, the employees were passing around pieces of paper during our visit!! It's no wonder that orders get lost with so many. The toilets were filthy and, in my opinion, smelled really bad. There was rubbish piled up everywhere, some of it even lying on the floor in the restaurant. We will definitely never come here again.

They've been filling up 6-7 parking spaces with a truck for days, and if you park in the E parking spaces, you're threatened by customers. Terrible. I won't be coming back here.

This morning, I was at McDonald's in Nettetal-Kaldenkirchen and accidentally threw my car keys in the trash on my way out. I then went back inside to ask if someone could help me. A woman named Miller immediately came out and helped me. Thanks again for the help. My opinion: a very friendly and helpful team. Thank you.
