The worst McDonald's we've ever been to. We waited 30 minutes, and our order wasn't even prepared until we complained. I feel sorry for everyone else who didn't speak up.

It's remarkable how this McDonald's has turned disappointing you into an art. Our experience was symbolized by how it was still a beautiful, dry winter evening upon arrival, which, by the time we left, had turned into the most drizzly evening imaginable. It started with high hopes for a quick bite. We remarked to each other: "It's so nice that you always get exactly what you expect at McDonald's." So, we weren't expecting culinary delights. We did, however, expect to get what we ordered. We also expected to be able to get out faster than in a regular restaurant where everything is freshly prepared. We also expected the drinks to be cold with ice cubes in them. We also expected the restroom to be logically laid out, where you could use the urinal while someone else walked in. None of this proved to be true. After waiting for over half an hour and complaining about the order, two of the eight orders were simply delivered incorrectly, and most of the food was barely warm. The drinks also had no ice cubes and were about the same temperature as the food. When we then visited the restroom, hoping to find what we expected, we were greeted with a toilet with only two urinals, one of which could only be used when someone walked through the door. It's no wonder several angry people were complaining at the counter. In short, this McDonald's surprised us on every level, and unfortunately not in a positive way. To end on a positive note: luckily we did get everything we ordered, and therefore we also received a free burger. So if you have the time and are short on cash, it's definitely recommended to eat here, as you have a chance to win extra free food.

There are problems with the app every single time. There was a 6-piece Chicken McNuggets offer (with a coupon), but the display wouldn't accept the code due to an error. At the checkout, they said the app was malfunctioning. Yeah, but that's not my problem – I still want the nuggets at the advertised price. Then they coldly say: No, that's not possible. If the app isn't working, they're only available at full price. 😂😂😂 It's ridiculous. How about redesigning the app? This happens so often… and then there's no goodwill gesture.

Over 20 minutes for small meals... This hasn't been fast food for a long time now... considering the wait times.

All the tables and floors were filthy. Staff preferred to stand idly behind the counter instead of wiping down the tables or anything else. There were no table service numbers. Disgusting…

The manager turns his back on you. And you almost scold other staff. You have to wait a very long time for your food. We had to wait 45 minutes. And then there were things forgotten and the burgers weren't very warm. And the restaurant looked absolutely awful. See photo.

Crappy McDonald's. There were four cars ahead of us in the drive-through. We still waited over half an hour. Every car you parked at least 10 minutes in line. Never again! Save yourself a lot of frustration and hassle and skip this McDonald's.

I stood in the drive-thru for 20 minutes before they took my order. Then I waited another 30 minutes for the food. Fast food?!

Used the drive-thru – the staff seemed very rushed and impatient. Just because it's called fast food doesn't mean the service has to be like that.

All the staff were completely overwhelmed. The tables were filthy. The staff was unfriendly, especially the blonde woman who had just started her shift. The food was cold and quite soggy, especially the cheeseburgers.

Sorry, what a terrible place! The toilets were filthy and there was no toilet paper, then they forgot the coffee (even though they weren't busy) and then we got a cup without a winning code. Oh yeah, and they wouldn't give us any more sugar either. At €4.50 for each bad coffee – never again!

2 a.m. The place is a complete mess; every table still has trash on it, everything is sticky. This is unacceptable.

We visited this McDonald's early in the evening on December 22nd via the McDrive. The person who answered our call could only say "your order" and "yes" after each item, followed by a final amount. No further communication. We then had to wait over 10 minutes at the counter. The "smile" service was nonexistent. The female colleague of the "cheerful" man at the cash register almost threw our order down at the counter. After which we received our lukewarm order without napkins. The staff clearly didn't want to bother us. Advice: avoid this McDonald's.

Generally okay, but they start taking numbers from the terminals in the afternoon, apparently because no one wants table service. Too bad. Food as usual. Update and downgrade: Service is now a disaster. No more numbers for in-store table service, the McDrive monitor has been broken for ages, and now the intercom is broken too. This causes queues and endless waiting. Something is always missing at McDrive. Sometimes it's fries, sometimes a burger. Definitely check while you're still there. Or just go to a different branch. 🤷‍♂️

Experience report based on many visits over the past few years: Unfortunately, this branch is getting worse every year. Cleanliness is abysmal, tray trolleys are overflowing, and tables are rarely cleaned. Something is missing from virtually every order. If you eat in, this is easily resolved, but at the drive-thru, it's always a major hassle, or you often only notice it at home. I don't even want to know how much money I've been cheated out of here over the years. Edit: Today, December 4th, 2025, it took 34 minutes. From entering the parking lot to picking up the food at the drive-thru window, the intercom was broken, and all orders could only be placed at window 3. And once again, the order was incomplete, and I had to go inside to the window.

I hope everything goes well, the staff is very unfriendly and impatient. When you ask for your receipt, you're asked twice why and if it's really necessary, only to have it grumpily thrown back into your car without a word.

30 minutes waiting and no food. Other people that came after us were served and we didn’t. And we didn’t order anything special. We tried to cancel and leave, and they made a huge problem about to do so.

The three times I went there over the weekend, it was absolutely packed, the order screen wasn't working, and you wondered if anyone had even taken your order, as it took ages to get it (once I waited an hour for an order for two). Parking is also very limited. The food is as good as it can be, but it's usually served lukewarm.

I've seen movies that were shorter and better directed than this mess. At first, you're sitting there feeling optimistic—you know the feeling, "it'll be alright." But after half an hour, you start wondering if maybe they should catch the chicken themselves first. The staff then shows you some receipts, as if it's some magical ritual that will magically bring the food to the table. Spoiler alert: no. Meanwhile, the drive-thru moves along like a highway, while inside, everyone slowly transforms into a real-life survival simulation. Maybe it's an idea to just close the drive-thru if your kitchen is already overheating from one order? The atmosphere inside was so cozy, I almost wanted to start a crying group. I've only seen people this grumpy during the toilet paper crisis. And then the food… Cold. So cold that I seriously thought I'd accidentally ordered an ice cream menu. We left it there, because even the trash bin would have rejected it. As we were leaving, I warned people they should turn around—call community service. What a comical tragedy. A circus tent is more professional.

I arrived at 0:18, ordered 3 ice creams, waited until 1 a.m., and received nothing. I left the €10 and left.

Cold burgers. Half the Happy Metal was missing. Unfriendly staff. The place wasn't clean. The ordering machine could use a wipe-down.

I was just at McDonald's in Kaldenkirchen. Now they don't have any cherry turnovers, the ice cream machine is broken, and they don't have Hanuta ice cream? Seriously, why advertise them? We were forced to get a McCrispy because the other options were so limited. We also ordered a hash brown on the side. It cost a whopping €1. Now we've unpacked our food at home and found a McCrispy without a hash brown slice. Aside from the disappointment we already experienced, we've now been financially ripped off. And to top it all off, we had to wait 20 minutes for this botched order.

Unfortunately, this is one of the dirtiest McDonald's restaurants I've ever been to. In some ways, it's worse than a busy rest stop along the A3 motorway. Tables are barely wiped down, and trash is lying around everywhere. The floor is sticky. Please put the lobby boy where he's needed.

The food actually arrived relatively quickly compared to other reviews here, even though it wasn't busy. However, you couldn't sit down; it was truly the dirtiest McDonald's ever. There was trash on every table. Eventually, someone (not an employee) went around wearing gloves and cleaned up! And they really need to learn to read. You don't get what you order, even if it's printed on the packaging.

I was there on a Saturday around 1 p.m. and then again on Sunday at 10 a.m. Both days it was filthy and sticky. It's a shame they don't even bother to wipe down the floors before opening. The staff, however, are nice and friendly.

Unmotivated staff, long waiting times – this hasn't had anything to do with fast food for a long time.

Just got it from the drive-thru, it was practically empty, but there was a long wait and the person at the drive-thru was either confused or just had a completely different way of thinking... The best part is, after the long wait, they serve you cold food... This place is an absolute disaster... The employees seem to be a bunch of students just killing time and doing nothing...

Despite the lack of business, the wait was relatively long, so there was plenty of time to observe the staff at work: the entrance door and touchscreens were wiped down with a damp cloth, and then people touched the inside of the paper cups without washing or disinfecting their hands first. Very unhygienic! The restrooms were in poor condition: clogged, and the soap dispenser had been ripped out of the wall.

They always forget something. I ordered two chicken burgers and the regular ones weren't given enough nuggets. So if you're going to put two burgers in there every day, hire people who can read and count.

Disaster 😕 Drunk to the bar especially for an MC Flurry...10:30 PM...sold out! The apple turnover was cold, the MC Chicken was cold and had almost shrunk into its original state. The toilet was completely filthy, train station toilets. What a shame!

What happened there? It used to be clean and family-friendly. The store was barely busy, and yet we waited almost 40 minutes for the food. One employee was just there to look good because he wasn't really working. The colleague at the drive-thru stole the burgers from the other colleague's bag, our bag. The employees at the burger counter were apparently in economy mode and forgot to put the patty on the Big Mac, because vegetarian is supposed to be healthy 🤷🏻‍♀️ Unfortunately, the McDonald's is no longer comparable to what it used to be. Who was the shift manager? I have no idea. Maybe they should allocate staff sensibly on such busy days. Make sure everyone has a specific area of ​​responsibility. And yes, I know what I'm talking about. We waited 50 minutes – and I'm not kidding. Meanwhile, the burgers were lying under the heat lamp, waiting for someone to take charge. Other guests were waiting in line for just as long for a drink or ice cream. Some eventually canceled their orders in frustration. At some point, we asked the man at the counter where our order was. He was rummaging through a mess of papers – our order was simply gone. Completely gone. We told him again, and he made a new one. Next to us stood a girl whose order was also missing – I passed that on to the man as well so she wouldn't miss out. In the end, we got our food. One McRib was hot, the other cold and squashed. My friend's burger was also only lukewarm. The drinks had been ready for a long time – so stale. And the cherry yogurt turnover? That was missing at the end. But going back and waiting again? No chance. We really didn't have the nerve for that anymore. Bottom line: If you want chaos, lost orders, cold food, and overwhelmed staff – go for it. Everyone else should think carefully about whether they want to invest their time (and energy) here. Absolute disappointment. Addendum: My boyfriend really wanted the pineapple bag. When we were in the car, he tried it and it was the wrong one. I went back to the store with the bitten bag and complained. I immediately got a new one, but now this happens. The bitten bag was put back in the warming container for the next customer. Food hygiene is nonexistent here.

I've rarely seen such unmotivated employees. Chewing gum in the kitchen, and the place itself a huge construction site, which isn't a bad thing. Renovations are necessary, of course, but almost all the tables are dirty and tablets aren't cleared away. Cleanliness is nonexistent. The food is better at MC; we left the fries behind. I wouldn't recommend it.

What a terrible McDonald's. I went here on August 31, 2025, at 9:00 PM. The staff is completely unfriendly, with employees constantly on their phones. When your order is ready after a long wait, they throw it down on the counter, don't call out your number, but shout it out in a grumpy tone, and look at you with a very grumpy expression. The staff is completely unmotivated and completely unresponsive. They walk around with an attitude that they don't care. This is evident when I had to wait almost half an hour for my order, even though it wasn't even busy. I'll never come back. It's terrible and completely unworthy of a McDonald's.

The one-euro price increase for the Smart Menu is unjustified. Rather, I'm reminded of the CEO, who declared the five dollars a top priority. I really hate to complain. When I was at the branch in Kempen, I ordered a cheeseburger. I got it, but without the pickle. Many people might be complaining too much, but for me, that's the best pickle there is. Then in Kaldenkirchen, I ordered two cheeseburgers. Both without the pickle. On the same day. That's never happened to me before; I only ate half of them. Something was missing. It can happen once, sure. But three times in one day in two different branches?

This branch is simply subterranean. You stand there, wait for your order, and observe the following: People eat in front of the customers, no hygiene is observed when packing the food; at least gloves would be nice when packing the nuggets in the box. Order numbers are called out in an exaggeratedly loud manner. It seems very slippery behind the counter, as everyone is sliding around behind the counter in their own sneakers and isn't wearing sturdy footwear (work safety). When a colleague asked her to refill her Coke Zero, since she couldn't do it, she was made fun of and the issue was passed from colleague to colleague. People throw food around, causing it to fall under the counter, but no one picks it up. German is apparently no longer spoken in this branch; you have to speak English, which is difficult, as the employees would rather speak Albanian. I also don't understand why, with 8-10 employees working there at the same time, not one of them manages to clean the tables when they're taking the time to just mess around. We'll be avoiding this branch from now on.

The first time we went, we had to wait 40 minutes for our food, and there was one thing missing and one thing wrong. You have to stir the chocolate milk really well before it's even remotely tasty. Wasps are everywhere. The second time we went, we had everything except an iced coffee; they didn't have caramel frappe, so they mixed coffee with a vanilla milkshake and added caramel.
