McDonald's in Limburg a.d.Lahn

They almost swapped our vegetarian wrap for meat, giving us 2 stars because they made it for us, but that was a no-go...

Expensive, long wait, crowded store, overwhelmed staff, cold food, lack of carbonation in the drinks, never again.

You order, aren't understood, have to repeat yourself a thousand times, and still get the wrong food. You even get the cheeky reply, "Why? It tastes good too."

Sorry, but I threw up a few hours later after eating your fries and Big Macs. Never again! I still feel sick...

It has free wifi and you can charge your telephone. Thats good. Food is crap. Coffee thin.

Since it was right on the highway, it was very crowded. The food was still ready quickly and was brought to our table by a friendly employee. A minus point is given to those who parked their redneck car without a permit in the handicapped parking space for at least 1.5 hours longer and we had to park on the side of the road with a wheelchair in order to have enough space.

Super nice and newly renovated, but the staff is completely overwhelmed. Looking at the situation, it's clear that it's not really the staff themselves that's to blame, but rather the absolute understaffing. Other visitors/customers were treated very unfriendly, and more... The business could be doing three times as well if the number of staff increased. Under these conditions, the store can look as nice as it likes. But the overall ambiance and service are plummeting!

Every time I go to the drive-thru, something gets forgotten. It feels like only one of the three items I order arrives. I absolutely don't recommend it.

It's busy again. The system with the numbers is out of order, and no one explains why. After asking the matter-of-factly what order to follow, you get yelled at. After asking for a refund, you get yelled at like you're yelled at... Restaurants could be better and nicer...

Just stress with people and waiting over 2 hours for food.

Everything used to be better! I ordered two ice creams with table service, and I got them, but they were served without me! The employee was obviously not in the mood!!

Absolutely disappointing! I ordered two chicken burgers and one hamburger – instead, I got three hamburgers plus cold fries. When I pointed out that the order was incorrect (with the receipt!), the employees reacted unfriendly and refused to give me the correct order. Customer friendliness doesn't look like that. This one star is actually too much – unfortunately, there's no option to give zero stars.

We always liked stopping here on the way to Baden-Württemberg because it was right in the middle and it always worked out pretty well. Today the place was completely full, so you'd think the products must be pretty fresh. The potato chips were as dry as the Sahara, the nuggets were really hard. Of the four sauces, one was wrong and one was forgotten. The milkshake with extra caramel (still 40 cents extra) had a slight kick in it. It's a shame, we'll be looking for a new shop, although I understand the stress. Then a lady should finish packing instead of processing everything in a jumble. And that doesn't excuse the products that are over 30 minutes old.

Unfortunately, I'm complaining here, my name is Bayram, HR Manager. I'm a bus driver for our company, always driving in this direction, and I get free meals at all Mg Donald's, Citizen King meals. The guy's name is Bayram, asks, "How do I know you're a bus driver?" and calls me. "You, I don't know him at all." And my bus is parked right in front of Mg Donald, he's still rude. It's much cozier since the renovation. It's more visually appealing and no longer so noisy.

I ordered a Coke Zero at the drive-thru and actually got a "regular" Coke. I only noticed this later on the highway; I had no chance to complain. This is especially annoying for me, as a diabetic who doesn't want to and can't drink this Coke! But it's also thoughtless to the customer for anyone who prefers a Coke Zero because of the calories.

Bought 3 x 20 nuggets, only got 19 each time!!!!!

Closed for renovation and no one noticed

MD Limburg is closed for renovations until September 18, 2025. There's no information about it online. It says it's open 24 hours.

The food is way too expensive for the portion size; I'd rather have a kebab plate. And the Talahon spawn rate is too high for me personally.

Ordered takeout, both large fries were lukewarm, soggy, and very sparsely packed. The veggie nuggets were cold and hard. You wonder how something like that could happen on a Sunday afternoon when it was so busy. We also had a latte with oat milk, which was okay. For €20 in total, I expected a bit more. But it's McDonald's. We stopped there while passing through, and it was a bad idea to satisfy our hunger there...

Why do you deliver so rarely, what a pity

They're renovating, there's no air conditioning, and it's boiling hot. Our order was wrong; the hamburger was burnt. The ice cream was strangely watery at the bottom. The restaurant and restrooms are filthy. Definitely not recommended.

I don't recommend this place at all. The staff are chronically overworked, simply unfriendly, and unmotivated. They persuaded us to move on over the intercom because we were talking louder in the car. Simply ridiculous, and I don't think this review will achieve anything.

The fries were tough, the burgers were dry (too long on the hotplate?). One of the worst McFlurries I've been to recently. The McFlurry was good, though.

The hamburger bun was old and the fries were hard. It's boiling hot inside. Tables aren't cleaned; you have to do it yourself.

So on August 10, 2025, at 1:35 a.m., the store is hopelessly overwhelmed by the situation. Orders are being issued indiscriminately, leading to a tense situation (unfortunately, there's no de-escalation from staff)! The current receipt screen is off. Waiting time has been over an hour so far.

The food was okay, the service was attentive, but the absolute disaster was the broken air conditioning. The staff were aware of the problem, but the owner didn't seem to care. Instead, you could choose to cook inside in the heat or fight the wasps outside for food. Especially fun when you have tired children on the team...

Very rude and disrespectful to customers. I politely asked if I could pay my bill in cash and have an employee take the checkout. The manager replied, "I don't have time, you can see I'm alone and busy." That's not how you respond to a customer. Disrespectful.

Worst McDonald's experience ever! We stood in line for 10-15 minutes, only to be rudely sent to the ordering machine – without any apology. After we ordered and paid, the manager still made us wait until "an employee came." She responded to our legitimate complaint not with understanding, but with disrespect: She started using the informal "du" form of address, became loud, and even threatened to cancel our paid order. This behavior was unprofessional, condescending, and simply unacceptable. Anyone expecting good customer service here will be sorely disappointed. For me, it's clear: Never again this restaurant – and never again McDonald's!

First: we didn't get any straws. Then the burger was missing from the happy meal, the fries were missing salt, and our burgers were cold. Then we realized the apple turnover was also missing. Finally, at home, we discovered that the nuggets also came with two wrong sauces: this weird ranch dip instead of sweet and sour. The cleaning lady barely speaks German, was unfriendly, and a customer's spilled Fanta was spread instead of mopped up, so my child almost fell over. The sign indicating wetness was, of course, missing.

The food is borderline and cold. And I don't even want to start with the service. 9 out of 10 times, the staff doesn't even speak German or speaks very, very poorly. I've often received things I didn't order. Strangely, they were less than I paid for. I've been to a few McDonald's, and they were all much better quality.

Very unfriendly staff, they absolutely need to be replaced. It's completely unacceptable for staff to make derogatory comments to customers because they use a coupon.

Conveniently located and long opening hours are positive features. Having to wait over an hour at a fast-food restaurant, on the other hand, is unacceptable. Yes, it was busier than usual, but that's just not acceptable.

We were insulted by the employees and had to wait 40 minutes for our food, which is impossible. When we asked at the counter why it was taking so long, we received rude answers and that's not right. Secondly, they snapped at us about the waiting time and said it was a complete disgrace. A bottomless pit. I will definitely recommend them. We actually thought that at the McDrive, you simply order what you want to eat – and that's how it's delivered. Apparently, that's not the case at the McDonald's in Limburg. The employee at the counter had apparently already decided what we needed – because there were no further questions about our order. He just happily typed away, then told us that unfortunately, "nothing could be changed," and that was the end of it for him. The order was (unsurprisingly) completely wrong – except for one fries. That somehow made it through the creative ordering system unscathed. At least. We're already looking forward to next time – maybe we'll just guess what we might get. Saves communication. ***UPDATE July 6, 2025*** Tonight (July 6, 2025, around 1:15 a.m.) we were brave enough again to embark on the McDrive adventure – with the same employee as last time. And what can we say: The consistency is impressive. Order wrong – as expected. Communication? Again, nonexistent. Instead of questions, there was once again a free interpretation of our wishes, and when we asked, we were simply ignored and waved straight on to the next customer. But: The fries were again correct. We now suspect they're immune to chaos. Maybe they should be promoted. To be clear: This review isn't directed against the food, nor against McDonald's as a whole – but specifically against the nighttime McDrive gatekeeper, who apparently believes customer service is optional – especially after midnight. We might come back. Purely for research purposes.

So far, the milkshake machine has never been broken when I regularly drive past the A3. That's definitely a sign of quality. Restrooms may be clean, but one of the Pissarro machines is constantly broken and poorly secured (with paper bags).

When ordering at MC Drive, it's essential to check your order. It's happened more than once that something was missing.

I have to wait a very long time because the staff prefers to chat rather than serve or work. They make the customers wait until one of them says something, and then they arrive very slowly.

If you order via the column, and they ask which glass you want with it and everything is gone. At the checkout there are 4 boxes of glasses and they still say everything is gone. Then something is wrong. Unfortunately I can't add a photo. Toilets very dirty. Staff very noisy.

The drive-in has gotten better and orders of reliable quality have gotten better overall. The quality and freshness of the food is better again and the service has also improved. All in all it has become tidier! Therefore one more star than before.
