Update: December 7, 2025... We just wanted to grab a quick bite at McDonald's. No parking available. We drove around the parking lot twice and it was completely full... Annoying. We're going to Burger King now 👑 We weren't even properly finished when they started mopping under our table while we were still standing there getting dressed, and they mopped our table as soon as I picked up my tray to take it away. I felt pressured to leave. The table service is sometimes good and fast, sometimes it takes what feels like 20 minutes. The drive-thru is a disaster on weekends (I've only been there once so far, and it was on a Sunday). I waited in line for almost an hour!! So much for fast food. One positive is the modern interior and the fact that you can order at the kiosk. The biggest negative is the restrooms. They need to be cleaned more often and the toilet paper needs to be refilled.

Do we have -1? First time in my life, I got a ticket (40 euro) since I parked more than 90 minutes in a McDonalds parking lot... Be careful guys! It's an automatic system now, there are just cameras...

Extremely long wait, longer than 30 minutes. And the food was lukewarm at best; this will be the last time I go to McDonald's for a long time.

The slowest drive I've ever seen; anyone ordering here should bring plenty of time.

The ambiance is really lovely. It's very pleasant that there's plenty of space between the seats. The transparent partitions are great. The food is decent.

I've never seen such a disorganized McDonald's restaurant. There was no table service on Saturday. There were too few employees, which is unacceptable. Those who were working seemed either stressed, unfriendly, or rushed, while others appeared almost demonstratively disinterested and inattentive. I told an employee that the kiosk where we ordered and paid didn't print a receipt, but he angrily dismissed the idea. We had to wait a long time for our food, which we then ate there with a bad feeling. Is this what a McDonald's is supposed to be like? In my opinion, this shouldn't be the experience they offer their customers.

Terrible place. You wait an hour for your 20cm chicken nuggets and a couple of burgers. The place is incredibly crowded on a Sunday evening, with far too few staff. The restrooms are a disaster, and the overall atmosphere is unpleasant. The McFlurry had more Smarties than actual ice cream inside. A complete dump.

The staff lacked any ambition. We had to wait 20 minutes for our meal. On top of that, the burger was only lukewarm. McDonald's used to be better!

A quick visit here isn't possible. Parking is scarce, and inside it's chaos. Tables are piled high with trash, clean tables have empty table tents, and the order boards are offline because they're out of paper. I've been to McDonald's in ages, and that'll be the last time for a while.

Never again. Waited over an hour for food.

It's just too expensive now. People used to accept the mediocre quality because it was quick and cheap. The price/performance ratio is no longer right!! For me, McDonald's is only for emergencies, and that's rare! I could actually save myself the trouble of writing this review, because nobody cares!?

We have coffee and croissant. It's full of kids who were enjoying their meals. Love the confectionery they had.

The only outstanding thing here is the wait time. Waiting 30 minutes on a Sunday evening at 6:30 pm for a pack of nuggets is not uncommon. Hardly anyone on staff speaks proper German, which doesn't exactly improve the service. I can only recommend this place if you'd otherwise starve. "Fast" (in fast food) here refers only to the speed at which you become overweight or develop type 2 diabetes from eating this food.

Absolutely terrible! The staff was way too slow. I ordered something simple like a McSmart meal, and the burger and fries were cold. The drink cup was already soggy when I picked it up, and they spilled Coke all over my car! Awful place, definitely not a place to get off the highway!

The food is McDonald's, but the wait times are always extremely long. 30 minutes in the drive-thru is ridiculous, and then someone even ripped my Monopoly sticker off my burger box...

The wrap was practically empty. Very meager. Almost no salad and only two nuggets. Very disappointing. It just tasted like dough and was gone in four bites :(

Slow food instead of fast food. The wait at the drive-thru is absolutely awful. If you're going to queue there, make sure you have plenty of time and a fully charged phone battery.

Unfortunately, they don't have any vegetarian burgers left. Next time I'll go to Burger King! Besides, everything here is filthy.

Not a good place if you're in a hurry; 25-minute wait for 6-piece nuggets.

Fast service, friendly staff and a clean table.

We waited over 30 minutes at the drive-thru. Then the drink for the meal was missing, and the drink and apple bag for the happy meal were also missing. Our child was restless because they were hungry, so we didn't notice until we got home. The burger had been sitting in the display for a while and was cold. So much money for poor service and substandard food.

So, the two stars are for the friendly staff. -3 for the order. For the umpteenth time today, I didn't receive my complete order. I wonder if, at this price, it's really my responsibility to check everything down to the smallest detail. Better quality control would be nice. If my order were just correct once, I'd be happy. Other locations manage it, so why can't Pfungstadt? Very disappointing.

Previously, after its opening, it was by far the best McDonald's in the area; now it's a complete disaster with endless waiting times in the restaurant and at the drive-thru. The restaurant is always extremely cold, both in summer and winter.

Incredibly long wait times. This has absolutely nothing to do with fast food. Employees mark orders as ready for pickup to avoid negative tracking… and the food is completely cold. Soap and hand sanitizer are empty.

Slowly, slower, McDonald's Pfungstadt

Four cars were at the McDonald's drive-thru and after 15 minutes they still hadn't moved on. I had different expectations.

We ordered a 6-burger order and only received 4. This is the second time this has happened, it's really not okay anymore.

That was the worst McDonald's visit I've ever had. In short: - 50-minute wait for a meal and a Junior Bag - Burgers were cold, fries were cold and soggy - The whole restaurant was very dirty and neglected. Some of the other customers had it even worse. The woman next to me waited 60 minutes for a cheeseburger and an apple turnover. They arrived cold, too. Very disappointing!!!

My GPS led me to McDonald's, but I ended up at a Pakistani restaurant. Unbelievable what's going on here! Insects are crawling around, I waited 45 minutes for a salad, all the burgers were cold, the service was awful, and there was hair in my burger—unbelievable!

Probably the longest wait you can have at a McDonald's, but it's definitely worth it, because this is the only McDonald's branch in Germany where the products actually look like the product pictures. In my opinion, this deserves five stars.

So, this back and forth, half of it is forgotten, no reaction when spoken to, half of it has been forgotten… and no one there speaks German, the screen that shows which number is called doesn't work at all, 0 stars for this store

Normally, you go to McDonald's because you want something quick to eat – fast food, in other words. That's out of the question here. Even in the past, you sometimes had to wait a really long time, but now it's even worse, even outside of peak hours. Ordering at the terminal still works (receiving your order is a different story). Ordering via the app and then just picking it up should, in theory, be quick. In practice, you first wait a while for someone to convert the app code into an order number. Then you wait for the order. And wait. And wait. Then the order is displayed as ready for pickup – but it's not ready. The order disappears from the board, and you're told that the boards are broken. Sometimes you see orders sitting there half-finished for 15-20 minutes and not being ready. Other customers wait with you. Eventually, you actually get something – and with a bit of luck, it's even the correct, complete order that's not completely cold yet. The employees at least partially try hard, but they don't speak much German. If there are problems with your order, it's really not easy to find a solution. Even ordering via the app and picking up at the drive-thru results in long waits if there's more than one vehicle in front of you. I'm not familiar with these problems at this level at any other McDonald's.

That was a disaster. We waited over 30 minutes. The employees were completely overwhelmed with all the orders; they were taking each other's meals from the prepared bags. The double cheeseburger was cold, and the contents of my burger were everywhere except on the burger. The bacon was lying next to it, the lettuce was everywhere, and the bun was soaked with sauce.

Tables were incredibly dirty. They weren't cleaned when a guest arrived. I had to clean my table myself, using napkins.

Now, there's a new rip-off with parking: you can't even sit in a restaurant for two hours and then you have to pay a pointless €40 parking fee. It's an absolute disgrace. I pay for the food in a restaurant, too. Customers don't seem to care here; the main thing is the profit.

Maybe I'm just not a fan of McDonald's, but I'm sure there are better McDonald's. The employees here are very lazy and slow. Some of them haven't even heard of the friendliness. The prices for some items are too high for the size you get. Last time I got a McSanday, there was hardly any sauce in it... The burgers were so squashed, like someone just smashed them with full force. Why?... I'm just disappointed. The only thing I really liked there was the hot sandwich. They're still good. Cleanliness was also okay.

I've never had worse food at McDonald's than at this location. The quality is usually pretty similar. Not here. The chicken nuggets taste dry, old, and chewy. The burger buns are soggy, and even if they're not fresh, everything is soggy. I've never experienced anything like this at McDonald's before. I definitely won't be coming here again.

It takes far too long to receive the order.

After waiting 10 minutes at the checkout, someone finally took pity on me and actually took my money. A total of 15 minutes of standing around for a coffee and a free lecture about not standing at the checkout to order... well, someone understand that 😅

In the McDonald's app, the branch was listed as closed, even though it was open, no dogs allowed, and we couldn't sit outside with our dog either because the gate was closed😡 so we didn't eat anything there👎

McDonald's offers a modern, friendly atmosphere with cool design elements. We especially liked the fun high chairs, which lighten the atmosphere. The food was fresh, delicious, and served super quickly – all in all, a successful visit!

Really good burger, good fries, perfect for a city lunch when you need something quick

Wanted to order and were immediately told that they only had 4 burgers to choose from. My burger was probably from today's lunch and was served cold.

A modern version of the fast-food restaurant, with the usual standards. Service is a bit slow, especially when it's busy. The new ordering system is a disaster. The app doesn't work properly, or rather, no one knows how to use it. Ordering items in person from the app doesn't work. You have to use the cumbersome terminals. Overall, everything is clean and bright. There's an outdoor area and a room for children's birthday parties.

It's awful how long you have to wait for your food! Almost nothing going on and you waited 45 minutes for the food! And then half of it is cold, unbelievable...

We come here often, but because there aren't any other McDonald's nearby. We don't even use the drive-thru anymore, because you can be sure there's a mistake in every order. In the last three weeks, three out of three orders have been faulty.

They ordered something different than what they received...the staff speaks poor German and therefore doesn't know what the customers are ordering. They're also very slow...

Unfortunately, this has happened a second time. Almost two months ago, I ordered a cheeseburger (at the drive-up counter). I came home and wanted to eat it, and what's missing is the meat? Great. I thought, "Okay, that's what happens." So, I was there the day before yesterday. I ordered the medium with two extra meats and two extra cheeses. The extra cheese was on it, but not the meat. But the sticker with the information, two extra meats and cheese, was at least on the packaging. Unfortunately, it cost €3.60. Since I unfortunately didn't get there until the next day, they told me there's nothing they can do; they should have reported it right away. I looked at the lady and asked if I'll have to take apart every burger before I go home from now on to check if everything is still there? Her answer was, "If they want what they order." "Yeah, thanks for the chat." Unfortunately, you're not allowed in with a handcart; I was kicked out today (Sunday, August 31, 2025) by the lady who cleans the tables. With the comment (which is not allowed here)!

We waited 30 minutes for our order. Fast food?

I was at this McDonald's today, August 22nd, and ordered a wrap. I waited at the checkout for the product and watched as the employee tried to finish the product. She was working without gloves, touching other things in the meantime like the refrigerator, other appliances, the deep fryer, and then she went back to working on the product. Watching her do so made me sick. How unhygienic can you be? The employee wanted to hand me the product, and I pointed this out to her. She then sent the restaurant manager to me. I explained the process to her. She said it was normal for these products to be made by hand without gloves. I then said that may well be true, but then you have to stay at your workstation. Every doner kebab shop does that: people wash or disinfect their hands beforehand and then work on the food, but don't touch the deep fryer or other handles in between. The restaurant manager was disrespectful, didn't recognize her mistake, and didn't even refund my money. I've been wanting to go to McDonald's for a long time. It was a lesson for me. I wonder where the managers are trained.

This McDonald's stood out from the crowd with its "modern" design. The tables seemed rather small at first glance, but they opened up with a kind of rotating motion. The atmosphere was very pleasant; not too many people, and the music wasn't too loud, so it was easy to have a conversation. My mother found the faucets in the women's restroom too complicated for women over 40. In my opinion, the faucets were unnecessarily artistic, but still easy to use. The food unfortunately took 16 minutes to arrive, but in my opinion, it tasted exceptionally good, unlike other McDonald's. For dessert, I ordered a McSunday with chocolate sauce, which, unlike my previous meal, was prepared and brought to the table very quickly. However, the packaging bore the word "McSundae." I don't know if that was a typo or a joke, but if so, no one laughed. Nevertheless, it tasted very good.

Item was forgotten to be handed out at the drive-thru

It says online that breakfast is until 11:00 and I have to discuss with the employee why they no longer have breakfast at 10:30.

You're not even allowed to sit outside the restaurant with a dog. All other McDonald's restaurants allow quiet, leashed dogs (as is standard practice in most restaurants). With the outside temperature at 37°C, we wanted to take a break here while passing through. Dogs aren't allowed in the restaurant. Upon request, we weren't even allowed to sit on the terrace with our dog (a well-behaved and quiet Border Collie). Taking the dog in the car wasn't an option in this weather, so we sat in the parking lot.

You wait forever for the food (about 25 minutes, which I personally think is a lot for a fast food place, and it really wasn't that busy). If you ordered more (like we did), you're out of luck. Everyone is served both in-store and at the McDrive, and you wait. Is it possible that the managers are monitoring how much time passes between the order, i.e., preparation, and pickup? All orders are immediately marked as ready for pickup, and you get a stupid look if you don't understand your order number. It's a shame.

One star is actually too much for this place. We waited over 40 minutes for three cheeseburgers and fries!

By far the worst Meccanica in the universe. Ordered at a restaurant, 35 minutes late, and only after I asked three times did the order arrive. Two out of five items were wrong. Staff overwhelmed and unfriendly. I've been so annoyed there so many times. This was the last time.

I'd love to give it 0 stars! The staff is completely unfriendly! You wait 30 minutes before you can pay in cash! And then you get insulted!? The unprofessionalism is beyond compare!

Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience at this store... I ordered a McFlurry, but it wasn't even half full. If you pay full price, you should expect to get the full product. 🌝

Long waits for food, dirty restrooms, and mostly empty soap and sanitizer. But the highlight: dogs aren't even allowed outside. Should you leave them in your car in the summer when it's 30 degrees Celsius? That's pretty poor. I know of many other branches where dogs are given water, etc., and are warmly welcomed. The staff is friendly and very helpful, but apparently understaffed.

I'd love to give it -5 stars, but unfortunately that's not possible. It was quiet, and we waited 30 minutes. The food was ice cold and looked like it was five days old. The kitchen staff seemed like they didn't know what to do. If you have any problems, you're completely ignored.

McDonald's is synonymous with fast food and chain restaurants. But this branch lacks both. As you can see, a cheeseburger, a slice of cake, and a shake were ordered. I find it a little hard to understand why these items were served after 20 minutes. The staff wandered around the kitchen without any plan, causing laughter among the customers as they raced around in a confused frenzy. On top of that, the numbers on the display were erased, and the customers didn't know what was happening with their orders. Maximum chaos...

I was very impressed by the ambiance and decor here. It's different from what I'm used to at other branches. The space is very airy, large, and bright. Different furniture, nice benches along the walls and in the corners, airy but comfortable chairs, and swivel tables. Everything feels modern and light. Everything was also quite clean. Even the restrooms. That makes it fun.

We ordered our food shortly after 12 noon, were given a table number with the same number as our receipt and then waited. After half an hour we went to see why it was taking so long, and our food had been sitting on the counter the whole time. Apparently we hadn't been given a table number, even though we had it in our hand with our receipt, which had the same number as the one on the stand! We then wanted new food, which was also hot, but they didn't want to make us one, because the food was cold, of course. The staff were completely overwhelmed. Other people complained too. One of the guys had all the receipts in his pocket and started giving people random orders. It was pure chaos! After a long discussion, they just wanted to pack up our cold food and let us eat it at home because they were closing, which I think is an absolute disgrace, because it wasn't our fault that they made a mistake. They then demanded our money back. Never again!

Waiting half an hour at the Mc Drive NH even though everything is empty and then even the cola doesn't taste good, insane experience

You always wait forever for your food. It doesn't matter whether you're eating at the drive-thru or eating there. Unfortunately, after using the restroom, my hunger quickly disappeared. (See pictures) There are definitely clean branches.

The food is generally good, just like at every McDonald's. Unfortunately, orders are often forgotten or incorrectly placed... and the wait time is often very long. However, the service staff are generally friendly and attentive.

The food is as you'd expect from McDonald's. The establishment is clean. Wait times are rarely long. What I can't understand is the current ban on dogs *outside*. I can perhaps understand that dogs aren't allowed inside the restaurant, but outside? The door to the outside area was even locked for this reason. With all due respect, but this is completely unfounded. I wanted to sit outside with my dog after a walk and order food, but that wasn't possible. Ironically, I was greeted by screaming and screeching children, while my dog sat quietly there. @Store management: what's the problem here? Well-behaved dogs (and children... ;-)) shouldn't pose a problem.

30-60min wait time for McDrive!!!

Give this place a wide berth! We drove past it after our late landing. The place was overcrowded, overwhelmed, and littered! Bags of empty beverage containers were stacked up in front of the entrance, the tray return was bursting at the seams, and the trays were left on the tables. We've never experienced a 50-minute wait in a fast-food restaurant—yes...that's right, 50 minutes—for our food! Not only us, but many guests stood in line for an interminable amount of time. Then, burgers, fries, etc., were missing from all our orders. After all, we noticed enough of that during the long wait. There's no friendliness to be found here either. They make excuses about "new employees." The floor behind the counter: ugh! As far as I know, McDonald's has a general requirement to wear gloves when preparing burgers...well, either that's no longer the case, or it's consistently ignored. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Waiting times of almost 20 minutes are abysmal for a fast-food restaurant. Even ordering with an app doesn't work in a way that allows you to order as you drive away.

To be honest, I don't quite understand the 1-star reviews. We were there on Saturday around 5:00 PM. We ordered at the counter and were seated. After exactly 6 minutes, our entire order was brought to our table. I don't think you could get any faster service at a fast-food restaurant. We were completely satisfied with everything!

Only 3 employees working during lunch time and long waiting times

Pleasant way to order yourself a quick but not inexpensive meal. The quality is ok but they have to work on the prices.

Unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience. We had to wait over 30 minutes, even though other people who ordered later were served first. The order number display was misleading—it showed numbers whose orders were far from ready. Only after we inquired was our order processed. As a result, we ended up getting home almost an hour later than planned. Next time, we'll drive further.

Dear McDonald's Team, My last visit was an absolute outrage: There were several whiskers in the fries – clearly visible and absolutely repulsive. And as if that wasn't bad enough, there was a fried fly in the middle of the portion – completely crispy and fried. Simply disgusting. On top of that, I had to wait over 20 minutes for a meal with a bun so hard it would have been more suitable for throwing than eating. This shouldn't happen at a company of your size. I expect a clear statement and appropriate compensation. With disgust,

Absolutely everyone in the kitchen wasn't wearing hairnets. They made the wrong order and asked several times if we might want to take the wrong order anyway.

Conditionally, there are better ones.

I've been driving for 15 minutes, with only two cars in front of me, and the guy on the microphone is very unprofessional. He told me that if I didn't like my food, I should wait and leave. I had to wait another 20 minutes for my order. Very unprofessional; employees like that shouldn't be working at McDonald's. Maybe the rude guy put something in my food.
