McDonald's in Henstedt-Ulzburg

OUTRAGEOUS! 4.29 euros for a small bottle of water!!! My extended family is boycotting this store.

When staff argue and shout at each other loudly in foreign languages, the experience suffers greatly!

The food is just McDonald's. The pickup service, however, is terrible. They're always missing something, you have to come back, and the food isn't ready or there. It's practically useless... Even in the restaurant itself, it seems chaotic, and many of the staff are incredibly rude and annoyed.

We went there today and ordered our food via the app and picked it up. Unfortunately, one item was missing, which we only noticed at home. Then my burger was prepared incorrectly (we specified and paid for special requests, but received a standard one). The food was so carelessly thrown together that half the sauces were on the sides of the burgers instead of on top. And for some inexplicable reason, the individual packages were damp and had split open at the sides...

Nothing worked at all: neither online orders could be picked up nor could I place another order in-store. There was an endless wait before I could even speak to anyone.

All the burgers were cold. The staff was clearly understaffed and completely overwhelmed. The manager (a woman with a gray bob) was extremely unfriendly and constantly snapped at her employees, telling customers, "They're just employees, they don't know anything." Speaking so disparagingly about your staff is truly pathetic. Luckily, we were just passing through.

Same as always. Except you only get smaller portions for the same price. Drinks without a meal are getting more and more expensive. But McDonald's. I always prefer it to Burger King. The restrooms are always spotless.

Chance...or rather, my children's hunger, led us to this branch three days ago. We needed something "quick," so we drove through the drive-thru. A small Coke, a cheeseburger, and nuggets were all we wanted. After paying, the drink arrived promptly, and then the disaster began. 'Wait a minute...' was the response from the employee. When I asked about it after another six minutes, the employee told me to pull over and wait around the corner. Two, three, four, five more vehicles then drove past me. After about seven minutes, I walked back to the drive-thru window and asked where my order was. "We'll have to wait a minute," was the literal answer. I replied in an energetic tone that it probably shouldn't take nearly 15 minutes for just a few small items. "That's how it is today," was the extremely cheeky reply. I expect better training for the employees there and clear and friendly communication with customers. I'm paying a lot of money for declining quality these days. We won't be seeing this branch again. If you can, go to the next branch instead.

I visited this store on October 24, 2025. Due to the current Friends figure promotion, I ordered a coupon meal and a Friends meal, each of which included a Friends figure. However, when it was delivered, I only received one figure. Apparently, I wasn't entitled to a figure for the coupon meal. Unfortunately, the two employees' German skills weren't sufficient for me to resolve the issue. Fortunately, the shift supervisor came to my aid. Since the receipt listed two figures, I finally received them. Unfortunately, this process took so long that the food was already cold. When I got home, I also discovered that the "snack salad" was completely wilted and therefore inedible. The packaging then provided the solution. According to the sticker on the salad packaging, it was OK until 4:29 p.m. at the latest. However, I received the food a good hour later. The salad was therefore no longer marketable, but was still issued. The delay at the counter and the drive home also took a while. I would therefore very much like management to provide further training and raise awareness for the staff responsible regarding the shelf life of the food. Improved German skills, at least to A2 level, should also be a given for counter staff, so they can understand and solve even simple problems. Based on these experiences, I can only give them a one-star rating.

Not even worth a star unfriendly food cold food missing

It's always very crowded, I had to wait 2 and a half hours to get my food, it was loud and hectic, personally I would eat anywhere except at this McDonald's, my coke was warm and my burger was cold

The employee who prepared the orders and distributed them around the restaurant failed to bring a menu. He claimed he only brought fries and nuggets, and not the toy. Only when the manager came and checked everything herself did she realize that an entire menu was actually missing. All the sauces and drinks were there, but the fries, nuggets, burger, and toy were missing.

Horrible! The man who delivered and collected the order didn't bring half the order, and he was rude to boot. Only the female administrator politely resolved all the issues. Thanks to her for her quick response!

It's really something every time, really every time. Holst Ceaser's Salad is the one without cheese. Today I want to try the new Baci Shake, I've already paid for everything. Suddenly they notice the machine isn't clean yet. That's just not possible...

Unfortunately, if you don't have PayPal or a Mastercard or Visa, you can't use the McDonald's app at all. And if you've redeemed your points, you're just out of luck. Absolutely outrageous!

Unfriendly staff, no smile, no hello, not a single word spoken, not even a "here's your order," not even a "goodbye" eluded the lips. Even though they said hello, goodbye, and thank you themselves. It was just a case of being processed. Cleanliness was okay; the place was fairly empty, two tables occupied, and only my small order was taken. Nevertheless, there were scraps of paper on the floor, stains on the tables, and no one in sight to take care of it. We'll see. I'll definitely give it another chance, but if it ends up being the same, this will be the last time I go.

Unfortunately, it's not as nice as it used to be The store unfortunately seems very dated. We find it particularly unfortunate that the children's play area is largely broken and dismantled. There are no longer any outdoor play areas for the children either – instead, the seating has been expanded. Overall, everything gives a neglected impression: It's often dirty and sticky. Unfortunately, it's no longer a place where we feel comfortable.

The children's play area is so pathetic, the operator should remove it rather than offer something like this for children. Poor Germany! You don't find anything like this at fast food chains abroad.

Ordered from the drive-thru again today, and all the Chicken MC Nuggets (2x6 and 1x20) were forgotten. It's not the first time, and it's incredibly annoying to always have to double-check everything.

It's very loud in the restaurant, the food isn't nearly full, the wraps are only half full, and everything's a bit dirty...

Best McDonald's in the region. Good parking, clean interior, and a gated patio. Ideal for dog owners and families with children. Great!

It wasn't that busy at the time, so my order was processed quickly. The Big Mac tasted like the usual McDonald's quality.

No lactose-free milk, no oat milk. As a lactose-intolerant person, I only had black tea/coffee for breakfast. It smelled like a toilet.

This McDonald's branch is really great. A warm atmosphere, service with cheerful, friendly faces. You feel welcome as a customer. Coupons worked well; we tried it today. Everything tasted delicious, as usual. Our family was delighted with this nice fast-food restaurant. Keep it up 🌸☀️

The Revenge Burger A burger lay on my table, it smelled of meat, seasoned, and fresh. But barely eaten, oh what a horror – when the misery began. Just one bite, a small piece, and then my stomach gave back. It grumbled, it screamed alarm – that wasn't food, that was harm. I ran quickly, my eyes completely blank, to the toilet – and more. The burger spoke, probably too late now: "I wasn't fresh, that was your fault!" So my diarrhea-like sound now teaches me: Don't trust every fast-food impulse. Because where pleasure once flared up briefly, the toilet often follows – very consistently.

A 20-minute wait on a Sunday when it was normally busy... Orders placed after me were given priority. The food was cold, and the fries were wrong and too salty!

I rarely go to McDonald's anymore, but this one is of good quality. What I don't like anymore are the new impersonal ordering systems, and it used to be more comfortable.

Never seen such a dirty store. If it were a shoe store or something similar it would be stupid too but this is a restaurant!!! Hygiene is non-existent neither in the store nor in the toilets! Today we came in and the store was busy but not overcrowded. We placed our order at 5.29pm and after complaining several times we got the food at 6.15pm! There was no sign of any order! Anything that came quickly was processed even though the people before had been waiting forever. At least 10 orders that came in after us were processed first! That's not acceptable!! When another customer asked why the McDrive was given preferential treatment, the employee just said "it's always quicker there". But that can't be right either. First come, first served and as stupid as that sounds, it's like that everywhere, whether in restaurants, Media Markt or tedi. An absolute catastrophe and this isn't the only branch where it's like that. On top of that, the order was incomplete and the toy was simply missing from all three Happy Marls. In the end we didn't object to that because at some point you just get fed up and it takes away time from the next customer which they would actually like to save in a FAST restaurant.

Just been there. One of the employees came out of the bathroom and washed his hands without soap, simply shaking them off when he was near the food. It seemed like a disorganized team. Not good.

The food is full of mistakes, either things are forgotten, made incorrectly, or packaged incorrectly. The staff is completely uninterested in their work, and it radiates this. Completely disorganized and lacking in logic. I've eaten here several times and have seen and experienced this so often, not just in my own kitchen but also in others' kitchens. Something has to change.

The food is okay. Ordering via the kiosks works perfectly. However, the entire store could use a bit more cleaning. Tables, floors, and even the kiosk screens are sticky.

At the drive-thru, they packed us a Mc Crispy Burger instead of the Mc Plant version. This happened after asking three times on the intercom. We didn't notice until we got home. The receipt, which you normally find in the bag, wasn't there either.

Tastes like any McDonald's, only the service here is a little slower...

Was here today. My son wanted to order something and was completely ignored by the staff. Not child-friendly.

I have never seen a meces that was so dirty. Tables are not cleaned, the window frames are full of sauce, even the wall is smeared with sauce, the floor is sticky and the fries smelled of old grease. That was the first and last time, I prefer KFC there it is not so dirty.

Service OK, toilet disgusting as expected

We always have to wait a very long time, whether at the McDrive or in the store. We've been forgotten before! The staff is nice, but they seem disorganized.

The service just can't seem to process one order after the next. I ordered takeout, it took half an hour... Finally, the pickup number was displayed, and then it was taken away again. What's your goal? To be fast for the statistics? Very sad... the truth is coming out anyway. The staff needs to be overworked, just FYI. I'll only use the drive-thru from now on, it's much faster. I'm really disappointed with McDonald's Henstedt-Ulzburg, and it's just getting annoying. Several times now, I've gotten meat instead of the vegetarian products I ordered. Most recently, I wanted to try the Mozzarella Balsamic McWrap, ordered it for pickup via the drive-thru, and when I got home, I realized it was a chicken wrap. This has happened several times with the nuggets, too. As a vegetarian, this isn't annoying at all. I don't eat meat for personal reasons, and I don't want to constantly be put in the situation of unexpectedly consuming meat—especially when I consciously choose a meat-free option. It can't be too much to ask to properly distinguish between meat and vegetarian options. Even more frustrating is that you always only notice these mistakes when you get home—and then suddenly you have nothing to eat. This is not only disappointing, but also disrespectful to people with certain diets or beliefs. The Henstedt-Ulzburg location makes mistakes with almost every drive-thru order: Sometimes a whole burger is missing, sometimes drinks or sauces, or an entire Happy Meal – or you simply get the wrong product. We've seen everything that can go wrong there, and it's honestly become a reason to stop going there. If you offer vegetarian alternatives, you also have to ensure that they are prepared and served correctly. And this generally applies to all orders: Making a mistake every time you visit and only noticing it when you get home is simply not acceptable.

It is disgusting that the workers work without gloves, the girls wear their hair down and their heads are not covered.

Every time you order online and strangely enough what you ordered is no longer available!!! The gentlemen cannot speak clearly either and the food is cold even though it was supposedly just made🤨

Ordered food at 5:30 in the afternoon and still didn't get any food at 5 p.m. Other customers had also been waiting for ages. The service just can't keep up as the kitchen prepares one burger after the next. It really can't be that

I had very nice cashiers today; they approached my child's problem with a lot of sensitivity and positive energy. That made it a good visit. The food was normal, like in every MC D. too. Extra requests were taken into account. The tables were clean.

Men's toilets totally destroyed. Toilet seat is loose. Door lock in the cabin is broken. No toilet paper. Doors painted and glued on the inside. And all of this right in the morning at 8:00 a.m. when it should have been checked and cleaned up.

Food is carelessly thrown together and if a cold citizen complains, an even colder one is brought! And the citizen who complained about being touched is packed back and the next customer is happy! It wasn't due to stress, the store was empty and there were enough staff there

We just wanted to buy a caramel frappe at McDonald’s in Henstedt-Ulzburg. But the cashier said - and we were in the drive-thru - that they don't have caramel, only in the summer, so we got the chocolate one instead. (She doesn't feel like working at all). When we asked again when paying why there was no caramel, the other cashier suddenly said that there is - sometimes they give it to customers, sometimes they don't. heh, I don't understand!

Because of a promotion we have ordered more often recently. After they put the wrong nuggets in our bag last week, we at least got a “voucher” for a pack of 20. Picked up today, 15 were totally hard and almost inedible, (my) burger from the rest of the order was missing, even though it was paid for. We are therefore not issuing a new “voucher” and no new orders are planned.

The service was a bit slow, we had to wait longer than usual. It's clean and tidy.

Today, February 1, 2025 at 10:35 a.m. at the drive counter, unfortunately, I had to wait 16 minutes for 2 (ordered and paid for) double cheeseburgers. The reason was because breakfast time had just ended. Paid almost 8 euros for this. On the motorway I discovered that both packages of "Double Cheeseburger" only contained simple cheeseburgers, and they were less than lukewarm, actually cold...inedible. Of course you can't turn around...it's a shame.

On a Sunday the waiting time can be up to 1:30 hours

It has been very cold in the rooms for a long time, so the food gets cold faster. Saving energy, yes, but you can also overdo it. I ordered a Filet-o-Fish. Cute, mega small for 3 euros. I couldn't believe it was 3 euros for that! But when I found out that the Fischbürger normally costs 4.99 euros, I seriously asked myself who would spend so much money on it. I understand that everything has become more expensive, but here we've overshot the mark. But as long as enough customers come, everything is okay.

So often something is missing or something is packed incorrectly (how does that happen!?). I'm tired of checking again and again for something I pay for. I don't know if this is a specialty of this branch or a general McDonald's problem.

One if the biggest McDonalds I have been in, here in Germany. Very friendly service, plenty of room, restrooms clean and the burgers were warm . Just a little hard to find, but there for they have alot of signs showing you how to get there

Everything was fine for me and I had all of the items I ordered. Were put together as they should be. ² After a long time I had a McRib and a Royal TS with cheese🍔 🍅 🧀 Fries 🍟 were hot, thank you very much

We ordered 2 mcsmart menus, 2 cheeseburgers and a chicken burger. When we checked the bag we noticed that the 2 cheeseburgers and a chicken burger were missing. We told them about it and then got it, but there was something wrong again and we had it didn't feel like arguing so we just left and they didn't apologize. Seriously how can you hire such employees who can't do anything right.

The food here is just put together and you have to put the burgers together yourself... It's all super dirty. All the grease sticks to the floor and it's not wiped... there's always leftover food on the tables and benches... nothing is wiped off properly here.. A socket in the men's toilet has been covered with a plastic bag for a year and the toilet seats are junk Please when you go there just don't expect anything that you will get your order correctly.... 7 out of 10 orders from us are always wrong

I ordered a chocolate milkshake but only received a vanilla milkshake instead. I turned to one of the employees, a man who I assumed was a supervisor because he was dressed differently. He checked the machine and saw that the milkshake bag was half full, but the machine wasn't pulling anything from it. He offered us chocolate sauce over the vanilla milkshake and gave us a small gift as compensation. Although it's happened to me countless times that I've received a vanilla milkshake instead of a chocolate milkshake (at least twenty times since I only order chocolate milkshakes), no one has ever offered us the option of putting some chocolate sauce on top . I would like to thank him in this way, I was very satisfied. I also liked the empathetic attitude. I think he noticed my disappointment that it wasn't a chocolate milkshake and quickly came up with a solution. Thank you!

The employees are all at work but the branch is really disgustingly dirty. No matter whether it is a toilet or a dining area. Everything sticks and on the floor you can see what was spilled last week and who walked there.

At this restaurant, the staff never managed to correctly pack a take-out order. There is always something missing!!! This is not an isolated case, but standard. In more than 50 takeaway orders in the last 10 years, I have NOT ONE TIME that everything was correct!!! NEVER LEAVE THE STORE WITHOUT CHECKING ALL ORDERED INGREDIENTS INCLUDING DIPS!!!!! Yesterday we were once again missing a dressing for the salad! If possible, I prefer to go to the Quickborn branch. They're not perfect either, but at least they're a little better.

Unless you're there in the morning during the week, it's usually dirty. I think the employees just can't keep up. Recently the dish trolleys were overcrowded, the tables were dirty and the floor was greasy. Some of the burgers were already cold the last few times. It's a shame somehow, it hasn't changed for the better in the last few years.
