Very poor service, unfriendly staff, and the shift supervisors in a terrible mood. They wouldn't even replace the toy in my child's Happy Meal. I cannot recommend this store.

After nearly 25 years of meeting up at McDonald's in Uelzen, where we always started our journeys home from all directions, we've now swapped it for McDonald's in Lüneburg or Burger King in Gifhorn. Since the takeover by D. Lampe, the place has become a real eyesore. The "construction site" has been there for almost three years and is more like a derelict building. The entrance is apparently locked when it's too busy (see the Uelzen newspaper article from 2025), and the main entrance can't be used anyway because... it's a construction site. The emergency exit is now the "normal" entrance. The interior is held together only by duct tape and a lot of wishful thinking. The employees seem to be just killing time, while the shift supervisor has accepted the misery and their behavior. Behind the counter, you'll find everything from complete incompetence to partying. The music, blaring from a speaker somewhere near the coffee machine, is 90% extremely loud and serves only to entertain the staff. Singing, etc., included. The restrooms, already partially broken before the takeover (so I think at least 5 years), are now simply disgusting. As for the food, don't get your hopes up about getting extra sauce, even if you order it. There were repeated instances of blatant errors with orders, culminating in my personal highlight... a Big Tasty WITHOUT A PATTY! Officially, they kept saying that construction would resume soon. But whispers are circulating that the entire project was started without a building permit, therefore abandoned, and now, out of sheer spite, the place is being left to decay.

The staff was incredibly unfriendly. They were rude to me even though I only asked if they could wipe the table, which was completely sticky. I even offered to do it myself. All I got was a slap on the wrist and told me I should eat somewhere else. Absolutely unacceptable. I've now contacted McDonald's directly, as I have witnesses to confirm this. They'll be hearing from me. This is simply unacceptable.

The food is okay, typical McDonald's. But the Uelzen location is awful. Just look at the photos in the other reviews; I don't need to say anything more. The service is terrible, hardly anyone speaks German, and the lobby areas aren't cleaned, tray carts aren't emptied, etc. The construction site isn't finished either. Worst branch in a long time!

Food: Acceptable, except for the wrap, which felt like it was just bread, and the meat and other ingredients only appeared in the last third of the order. (It couldn't have been prepared with less care.) Service: The staff can't speak German anymore, and if you have a question, they look at you like you're crazy. (They're completely overwhelmed.) It's like a complete carnival. Atmosphere: The self-service kiosks don't print receipts, the screens are broken, 90% of the benches are made of duct tape, and the toilets look like crap. Overall impression: The later you arrive, the more "motivated" the staff seems. The paper cups lying around in the kitchen area really whet your appetite. It feels like the branch has been run down year after year. You should know this... P.S. Think twice before going there... seriously.

Today we were passing through again and stopped here for a late lunch. It was truly impressive how the manager ran the place! It was really busy at that time. But the food was exactly what you'd expect from McDonald's. It even arrived at our table quite quickly, was complete, and the fries were still hot! The restaurant is apparently undergoing renovations, but the dining area was clean and in good order. Thank you for the great service!!

A very disappointing visit. The service was extremely poor, with long waiting times and hardly any friendliness. The music was incredibly loud, and the staff were singing and dancing to it. The decor was embarrassing and looked neglected, and the toilets were filthy and simply disgusting – it made me feel anything but welcome. This place urgently needs improvement.

Is there still a McDonald's anywhere that isn't broken and where you don't have to feel disgusted by anything? The floor is sticky, one of the two toilet stalls is broken, the urinals are about to fall off the wall, the electric hand dryer is broken, and there's no paper towel. The food arrived cold. Almost all the seating was ripped, broken, and/or haphazardly patched up. At least the tables were clean. Apparently, these kinds of conditions are standard at McDonald's.

Definitely worth a visit if you want to experience a dystopian picture of Germany's decline. It's also somewhat representative of the Uelzen district. It's already difficult enough to find such a dilapidated restaurant in Germany, but this McDonald's probably wants to win an award for it. When I was there a few weeks ago, I could only explain the state by assuming they were preparing for demolition and renovation. But now it turns out this is the norm. It's acceptable to patch a tear in a seat with tape and have it repaired the next day, but here, about 30% of the seating is held together with nothing more than duct tape. It's so pathetic that you inevitably start looking for a hidden camera. But when you consider the state of the restrooms and the fact that not a single monitor in the restaurant works properly, and over half aren't even functional, it really gives you pause. The mysterious construction work in front of the building, which seems to have started years ago but was never finished, completes the disaster. Oh yes, there was food too. It was just about okay and met expectations for a McDonald's. The staff seemed overwhelmed, which wasn't a good feeling. I would have expected to pay half the price for less than half the standard of a restaurant. I can't understand how they can treat their customers like that, and out of sheer curiosity, I'd love to meet the person responsible. And the fact that they no longer offer vegetarian burgers is just another slap in the face to the customers.

I'm shocked. After my visit on Friday morning, I'm almost speechless. Luckily, there are already reviews from people who felt the same way. I just wanted two McMuffin Eggs at a fast-food restaurant. After 16 minutes, I finally got them. So, I had 16 minutes to look around. What do the seats and tables look like?! They're held together with tape, and yet the upholstery is still oozing out everywhere. Now I understand why the entrance is hidden around the corner so well that you can hardly find it. The staff had plenty of time for private conversations, but no time to prepare my order. They were even touching their hair to fix it. 🤮 Appalling. In the back, I saw a well-dressed man. To me, he looked like a supervisor. He was briefly working on a machine. He didn't seem to realize that customers weren't being served. Does anyone in charge actually read customer reviews of this fast-food restaurant?

Visit on December 7, 2025 at 3:40 PM I'm attaching a photo of my receipt to demonstrate that I actually visited the McDonald's in Uelzen. Unfortunately, my visit was a very unsatisfactory experience. From my perspective, the team at that time seemed to consist of nine employees. I observed several of them standing together in two groups, engaged in private conversations, and not appearing fully focused on their tasks. One group was standing near the coffee machine; I saw employees drinking soft drinks during their shifts. All of this struck me as unprofessional and, in my opinion, impacted the restaurant's operations. I want to emphasize that I am only describing my personal impressions from this specific visit. Nevertheless, I felt that the restaurant's processes were not optimally organized. To the manager, Mr. Dennis Lampe: I hope this feedback will be received constructively. In my view, the quality of the guest experience, and therefore the economic success of the location, could depend significantly on how the team is managed and what work habits are ingrained in the business. I would hope that future visits will once again meet the standard one expects from McDonald's.

Cons: - The benches are held together haphazardly with tape. - The men's restroom reeks of urine, and the entire stall is literally a mess! The door won't close, the seat cushion is broken and just slides around, and the stall itself is far too small—more like a broom closet. The whole experience left me feeling utterly disgusted. I was there again a few weeks ago. Sorry, what kind of... I don't know how to describe it, what a terrible place! Waiting time??? Ugh, OK, I'll just drive to the next supermarket; I'll get something to eat faster there. Friendliness??? What friendliness? Even the lowest-level employee at any other company is friendlier. Speed? A completely foreign concept. I ordered at the terminal. According to the display, it was "ready for pickup" shortly after. But my number was never called. After at least 10 other people who ordered AFTER me had already left, I asked about it. "Oh, we must have missed you." Not a word of apology or anything like that. Sorry, but in other branches, at least there's an "apology" or they offer a drink as compensation. But what's going on there, sorry, those people involved should really consider whether they want to put "McDonald's" on it. In my opinion, it's dragging the whole company down!

I know you're currently renovating. But there were at least seven employees there, hardly any customers, yet all the tray trolleys were packed to the brim. The toilets were so dirty you couldn't sit on them. The sink for washing hands was also filthy. But the people behind the counter were having a good time. The drive-thru is almost always so crowded; surely, after years of the seats being so tattered, they could invest a few euros... The employees are mostly very friendly and try their best. But where the boss really needs to show some initiative is to get up from his office chair every now and then, take a look at the orders, and support the team more. And finally, do something about the interior! --------------------------------------- The worst part is, of course, that the small franchisee McDonald's in Uelzen can't do anything about it, but I have to say it for the McDonald's corporation in general. Why remove the option to pay with cash or debit card in a mobile app? I don't understand the logic. When I complained to McDonald's, they replied that it was to make payment even easier and faster. How is that easier? Not everyone has a credit card or a PayPal account, and besides, why would I store such sensitive data in the McDonald's app? I hadn't been to McDonald's in Uelzen in ages. After my visit a week ago, I remember why! The interior was unrecognizable and held together only by duct tape. The order screen, where the order numbers should be displayed, and the children's game screen weren't even working. The floor was filthy, as if 30 construction workers had trampled through the restaurant, and to top it all off, the order wasn't even complete... All in all... No!!! Definitely not recommended.

Today I sent my 12-year-old son to McDonald's alone because I wanted to give him a sense of independence. I waited in the car. When he came back, he was visibly dejected and sad, even though we had planned to have a nice day together. It wasn't until we got home, while eating, that he told me what had happened. Two employees treated him impatiently and rudely, even verbally belittling him until he was almost in tears. In the end, he told me he never wanted to go to a fast-food restaurant alone to order anything again. As a parent, this really upset me. On top of that, our order was incomplete; the fries were missing entirely. Unfortunately, it's almost become the norm for orders to be incomplete here, but to intimidate a 12-year-old child like that with such bad behavior is absolutely unacceptable. These kinds of small steps are meant to help children learn independence, and instead, my son was left feeling insecure and hurt. And to be honest, it doesn't particularly surprise me, as one of the employees involved is already known for her bad temper. But for two employees to treat a young boy like that today and yell at him is definitely too much. Management urgently needs to do something about it.

A strange visit today. Lots of flies in the dining room. Milkshake and ice cream machine broken. Display of the completed update: It's not getting any better. Service seems completely overwhelmed. We've tried three times now throughout the year. It could be a gold mine, but they just can't handle the rush. Orders were broken. No more 0.5-liter reusable cups. Plus a 20-minute wait. Apparently, that was forgotten.... The upholstery on many of the benches was broken and outdated... This is the worst service in all the restaurants. First they made ice cream and coffee and then everything else. The ice cream melted and the coffee got cold. The woman walked around with the order for 15 minutes and couldn't figure out what to do. They forgot to put straws in the drinks. The milkshake tastes different because I always take it. It's getting worse and worse. I can only agree with what the previous speakers have said. It's been under construction for years, it's dirty, and the restrooms are a disaster. If you drive anything larger than a Trabant, you'll have trouble parking, as the parking spaces have been reduced and are now very tight. However, a second drive-thru lane was built, but it's not being used because there's no terminal. Tearing it down and rebuilding it would probably be the best option.

Was there on Friday at MC Drive, first waited a long time and then at the first counter was told to wait a little longer. It was no problem, then I went to the cashier and paid for the food. I ordered 6 cheeseburgers and 2 cheeseburgers and didn't get anything for the kids box. Then I got the Malör kids box without ketchup and sweet and sour sauce even though I paid for it, the child was very disappointed. The next Malör cheeseburger was without sauce and salad. It's not right about this shop, this was the first and last time I will buy food from this shop, there was not enough sauce on all the burgers 🍔, not enough salt, we as a family were really disappointed with McDonald's and will definitely avoid this shop, you should be ashamed of yourselves for asking for something like that.

All in all, the conditions are intolerable: What exactly does the franchisee do for a living? Permanently broken receipt printers, monitors that have been out of order for years, incredibly rude staff, a permanent construction site, and appalling sanitary conditions—unfortunately, this is by far the worst McDonald's in Germany.

For the iced matcha latte, they said, "Yes, we don't have caramel syrup," even though every other McDonald's has it (they said they don't have it at McDonald's). When I went to eat my wrap, I realized I'd been given a mango curry wrap. The staff were also extremely unfriendly and yelled at me. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

The concept would be great, but unfortunately, it doesn't work at all at the McDonald's in Uelzen (which, even before the redesign, wasn't "fast" food for me because it always took so long). I wanted to get one myself, and then they rudely told me they had no business being behind the counter! Plus, I had to wait 25 minutes for that one shake. The worst McDonald's I've ever been to. The Sprite tasted like water, the syrup dispenser was apparently completely empty and wasn't refilled even when I asked, so I was given the same Sprite again. The fries were lukewarm, dry, and soggy all at once; it's quite an achievement to make such bad fries... Also, the dip was missing, and I had to pay 50 cents for a new one. The BigTastyBacon wasn't even close to a BigTastyBacon; the cheese was all over the edge, and all the bacon strips were just slapped together instead of spread out. We're definitely never coming back!!!111!!!

Far too cramped. And the idea of placing the ordering tablets in the middle of the aisle and near the restroom wasn't a good one. If there's a blockage near the restrooms, it's just too cramped. On top of that, we had to half-hit the tablet to get it to respond. The piece of paper with the number wouldn't come out either. The parking lot is only designed for small cars. Everything was just far too cramped! And there were no milkshakes! Plus, the cheeseburger was very poorly made. It didn't look good.

Incredibly bad and dirty McDonald's. The interior is old and broken. The ripped seat cushions were repaired with tape. The chairs are broken and dirty, too. There's dirt and dead wasps down by the windows. All but one of the displays at the checkout area is broken. The food takes a long time to arrive. I couldn't order salad anymore, there was no paper on the trays, and my Big Mac was made with buns from other burgers. The cheeseburger was soggy, like a car had driven over it. Do everyone a favor and just close the place down.

I haven't experienced such a crappy place in a long time. I arrive there at 10:30 p.m., only to wait 20 minutes at the cash register while it's being dismantled. Then the employee goes back to twiddle their thumbs again. Other customers are already complaining about waiting 50 minutes, and nothing's moving forward. The employees just say they're doing their best – even though nothing's happening. I got fed up inside, so I left. I can't recommend it to anyone. This has nothing to do with fast food – the wait time is shorter in good restaurants. Shut down that garbage dump! Hygiene is out of place.

Even at the checkout, there's a foul smell, as if a drain were clogged somewhere. The toilets are completely filthy, with a pungent stench of urine, empty soap dispensers, a broken stall door, a rancid wooden toilet seat with peeling paint. Dust and traces of urine are on the urinals, one of which has obviously been broken for some time and has been hastily taped over. The note that normally documents the cleaning intervals isn't even there.

The snack bar isn't nice, actually quite disgusting. The food was really bad; the dürüm was bland and tasted slightly rubbery, the noodles were baked with absolutely no flavor, and the doner kebab and doner box weren't tasty either. I wouldn't order it again or eat there.

The kebabs here are really delicious, as are the chips. The staff are always friendly and attentive. The shop is nice and clean, and you can sit inside or outside when the weather is good. 10/10
