What incredibly unfriendly employees work at this McDonald's? You ask a simple question about your order because the display screens aren't working and you immediately get rudely addressed.

Visit on December 7, 2025 at 3:40 PM I'm attaching a photo of my receipt to demonstrate that I actually visited the McDonald's in Uelzen. Unfortunately, my visit was a very unsatisfactory experience. From my perspective, the team at that time seemed to consist of nine employees. I observed several of them standing together in two groups, engaged in private conversations, and not appearing fully focused on their tasks. One group was standing near the coffee machine; I saw employees drinking soft drinks during their shifts. All of this struck me as unprofessional and, in my opinion, impacted the restaurant's operations. I want to emphasize that I am only describing my personal impressions from this specific visit. Nevertheless, I felt that the restaurant's processes were not optimally organized. To the manager, Mr. Dennis Lampe: I hope this feedback will be received constructively. In my view, the quality of the guest experience, and therefore the economic success of the location, could depend significantly on how the team is managed and what work habits are ingrained in the business. I would hope that future visits will once again meet the standard one expects from McDonald's.

Pros: - The food was okay, as expected, and most importantly, still hot, which I always appreciate. - The service was actually great; the food was brought to the table and everything was as ordered. Cons: - The benches are held together haphazardly with tape. - The men's restroom reeks of urine, and the entire stall is literally a mess! The door won't close, the seat cushion is broken and just slides around, and the stall itself is far too small—more like a broom closet. The whole experience left me feeling utterly disgusted. The restaurant was renovated for months; I seriously wonder what happened there during that time?! I'm definitely done with this McDonald's for now.

I was ashamed to be there. Almost every chair is broken and patched up haphazardly. The toilet is disgusting too.

The branch should work on its appearance. There are much tidier branches.

I was there again a few weeks ago. Sorry, what kind of... I don't know how to describe it, what a terrible place! Waiting time??? Ugh, OK, I'll just drive to the next supermarket; I'll get something to eat faster there. Friendliness??? What friendliness? Even the lowest-level employee at any other company is friendlier. Speed? A completely foreign concept. I ordered at the terminal. According to the display, it was "ready for pickup" shortly after. But my number was never called. After at least 10 other people who ordered AFTER me had already left, I asked about it. "Oh, we must have missed you." Not a word of apology or anything like that. Sorry, but in other branches, at least there's an "apology" or they offer a drink as compensation. But what's going on there, sorry, those people involved should really consider whether they want to put "McDonald's" on it. In my opinion, it's dragging the whole company down!

I didn't get what I ordered. Much less than I ordered. Ordered: McSmart meal, Happy Meal, 9-piece chicken nugget meal. Received: 2 Happy Meal fries, 2 mayo, 4 sweet and sour sauces, and a wrap (which wasn't ordered). We didn't even get the drinks we wanted. Plus, the fries were almost cold and soggy.

I know you're currently renovating. But there were at least seven employees there, hardly any customers, yet all the tray trolleys were packed to the brim. The toilets were so dirty you couldn't sit on them. The sink for washing hands was also filthy. But the people behind the counter were having a good time. The noise level in the kitchen far exceeded that of the dining area.

Unfortunately, as has happened so often, my order was incomplete. It can happen, but unfortunately, something is missing almost every time. :/ Last time I checked at the drive-thru, the Big Tasty was missing, so I went inside and they gave it to me without any problems. (Great!) Today I didn't bother checking because I'd have to go in with two small children, and once again, the Big Mac was missing... Fantastic. The food is the usual McDonald's quality. The interior is a complete disaster—it's a mystery to me why nothing has been done about it. The drive-thru is almost always so crowded; surely, after years of the seats being so tattered, they could invest a few euros... The employees are mostly very friendly and try their best. But where the boss really needs to show some initiative is to get up from his office chair every now and then, take a look at the orders, and support the team more. I hadn't been to McDonald's in Uelzen in ages. After my visit a week ago, I remember why! The interior was unrecognizable and held together only by duct tape. The order screen, where the order numbers should be displayed, and the children's game screen weren't even working. The floor was filthy, as if 30 construction workers had trampled through the restaurant, and to top it all off, the order wasn't even complete... All in all... No!!! Definitely not recommended.

Today I sent my 12-year-old son to McDonald's alone because I wanted to give him a sense of independence. I waited in the car. When he came back, he was visibly dejected and sad, even though we had planned to have a nice day together. It wasn't until we got home, while eating, that he told me what had happened. Two employees treated him impatiently and rudely, even verbally belittling him until he was almost in tears. In the end, he told me he never wanted to go to a fast-food restaurant alone to order anything again. As a parent, this really upset me. On top of that, our order was incomplete; the fries were missing entirely. Unfortunately, it's almost become the norm for orders to be incomplete here, but to intimidate a 12-year-old child like that with such bad behavior is absolutely unacceptable. These kinds of small steps are meant to help children learn independence, and instead, my son was left feeling insecure and hurt. And to be honest, it doesn't particularly surprise me, as one of the employees involved is already known for her bad temper. But for two employees to treat a young boy like that today and yell at him is definitely too much. Management urgently needs to do something about it.

I've never seen such a run-down McDonald's as the one in Uelzen. The whole place is in terrible condition. From the seating to the state of the restrooms, everything is awful.

I've been to the drive-thru a few times in the last few weeks, and it's still abysmal! Whether ordering or picking up your food, the service is unfriendly and unmotivated. It's become much cleaner since our last visit, and the friendliness has also improved considerably. A quick bite from McDonald's is always a good option.

We were passing through and wanted to grab a quick bite. The place is very run-down, with ripped and badly worn seats. We ordered burgers with extras, but unfortunately, they didn't make any fresh burgers. They used "old" ones and removed toppings like tomatoes and lettuce, but not everything. We've tried three times now throughout the year. It could be a gold mine, but they just can't handle the rush. Orders were broken. No more 0.5-liter reusable cups. Plus a 20-minute wait. I hope today was an exception. A few weeks later. No 0.5-liter cups. Burgers were missing from the order. Crocodile tears from the little guy.

We just wanted chicken nuggets, not a Sunday sermon. We waited over 10 minutes while people after us were already getting their orders. It was horrible! We ordered at the restaurant but ate on the way. The restaurant is apparently being renovated, or at least that's what it looks like. The Coke wasn't carbonated, and my filet fish was so old that the edges of the patty were hard. If I had eaten at the restaurant, I would have returned everything...

This is the worst service in all the restaurants. First they made ice cream and coffee and then everything else. The ice cream melted and the coffee got cold. The woman walked around with the order for 15 minutes and couldn't figure out what to do. They forgot to put straws in the drinks. The milkshake tastes different because I always take it. The dark-haired girl came back for the straws and yelled what kind of problem I had.

It's getting worse and worse. I can only agree with what the previous speakers have said. It's been under construction for years, it's dirty, and the restrooms are a disaster. If you drive anything larger than a Trabant, you'll have trouble parking, as the parking spaces have been reduced and are now very tight. However, a second drive-thru lane was built, but it's not being used because there's no terminal. Tearing it down and rebuilding it would probably be the best option.

Was there on Friday at MC Drive, first waited a long time and then at the first counter was told to wait a little longer. It was no problem, then I went to the cashier and paid for the food. I ordered 6 cheeseburgers and 2 cheeseburgers and didn't get anything for the kids box. Then I got the Malör kids box without ketchup and sweet and sour sauce even though I paid for it, the child was very disappointed. The next Malör cheeseburger was without sauce and salad. It's not right about this shop, this was the first and last time I will buy food from this shop, there was not enough sauce on all the burgers 🍔, not enough salt, we as a family were really disappointed with McDonald's and will definitely avoid this shop, you should be ashamed of yourselves for asking for something like that.

All in all, the conditions are intolerable: What exactly does the franchisee do for a living? Permanently broken receipt printers, monitors that have been out of order for years, incredibly rude staff, a permanent construction site, and appalling sanitary conditions—unfortunately, this is by far the worst McDonald's in Germany.

Everything was good; the food was standard, like at any McDonald's, and the service was good. My only criticism goes to the way the (younger) employees were treated. We asked the young employee at the drive-through something; he wanted to check with an older employee about it, and he was loudly yelled at for it. That's absolutely not respectful behavior.

The McDonald's in Uelzen doesn't seem well-maintained. The seat covers are broken, have been for a while, and the restroom wasn't working properly either. The food is good as always. The main entrance is still unfinished, too. A shame...

At MC Drive, they fall asleep while ordering and distributing.

I ordered a honey mustard wrap and an iced matcha latte. For the iced matcha latte, they said, "Yes, we don't have caramel syrup," even though every other McDonald's has it (they said they don't have it at McDonald's). When I went to eat my wrap, I realized I'd been given a mango curry wrap. The staff were also extremely unfriendly and yelled at me. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

The concept would be great, but unfortunately, it doesn't work at all at the McDonald's in Uelzen (which, even before the redesign, wasn't "fast" food for me because it always took so long). I arrived at the construction site, where construction hasn't been completed for two years. First, they accidentally put caramel sauce on my shake, then instead of a chocolate McFlurry, they gave me a Sunday McFlurry. The worst McDonald's I've ever been to. The Sprite tasted like water, the syrup dispenser was apparently completely empty and wasn't refilled even when I asked, so I was given the same Sprite again. Bad place and the seats are crazy too

I recommend anyone passing through to avoid this branch and go to the nearest one in Lüneburg/Westfalia. The burgers are repeatedly incorrectly tossed, the employees are rude, the corners are dirty, the screens have been broken for months, and the entrance has been packed for ages. It only survives through travel to exploit even more unaware people passing through. Worst McDonald's in all of Northern Germany.

There's dirt and dead wasps down by the windows. All but one of the displays at the checkout area is broken. The food takes a long time to arrive. I couldn't order salad anymore, there was no paper on the trays, and my Big Mac was made with buns from other burgers. The cheeseburger was soggy, like a car had driven over it. Do everyone a favor and just close the place down.

I've visited a few of these fast-food restaurants, especially while traveling. But THIS was the worst restaurant I've ever seen. Some of the employees were unkempt and smelly. The restaurant was dirty, run-down, and filthy. The food was cold, the fries were way oversalted. The benches were broken. I didn't even dare use the restroom! The patio door is so dirty you can barely see through it. I won't be going back to this place!

This was the worst McDonald's I've been to so far. As mentioned in other reviews, there were flies everywhere, sticking to the tables and floor. Most of the seating was taped down. The ordering terminal was broken. There were no table numbers, so you had to wait until your order number was called out. And then there was the restroom. The food was okay, though. We will definitely avoid this restaurant in the future.

We returned from our vacation and stopped off at McDonald's in Uelzen. When we entered the branch, an extremely pungent, disgusting smell immediately hit us. As soon as we got closer to the collection area, the smell got stronger and more disgusting. There was a noticeable restlessness in the team that the customer could feel. We found this very disturbing. We ordered for three people. Among other things, we had 9 chicken nuggets and 9 Mc Plant nuggets because I am not allowed to eat meat due to an allergy. When we picked up our food, we suddenly had two things that we didn't order (a tetra pack juice and fruit). In addition, both types of nuggets were in identical packaging, both in normal chicken nugget packaging. When we spoke to the employee again, he was unable to help us. He seemed more absent. It was only when another employee came along that this could be clarified and the employee in charge was instructed and explained that he should have at least marked it with a sticker! It would have been very dangerous for me otherwise! The toilets were an outrage. Dirty beyond belief, no toilet paper, no soap and the hand dryer was broken! On top of that, it was difficult to concentrate in the toilets as you could hardly smell anything even there. It felt like all the seat cushions were worn out and there were nibbled food scraps on the floor. The entrance gate was not marked at all so you had to enter via the outside area. It was only when you went out that you could see where the main door was and it was reminiscent of a ruin. The floor was disgusting and the windows had been made temporary cover with wooden boards. We're never coming back here!

Chewing gum was on the ceiling light, a millimeter-thick layer of dust on the ventilation grilles, and dirt was everywhere in the corners. 2024: First, I forgot my entire Happy Meal, but it was delivered later. Because of the rush, I only briefly looked in the bag, but realized it was too late. Previous visit: Big Mac forgotten, but was given out upon request. Previous visit: Ordered a double cheeseburger, but the bag contained a burger. When I got home, I discovered it was a regular cheeseburger. Recommendation to guests: Check orders at the window with extreme care and even look inside the individual packaging. Recommendation to shift managers: Retrain, check more frequently, show more diligence, and, if necessary, specify a consistent packing sequence.

The fries were tasteless. The burger toppings weren't adjusted. The order board was deliberately turned off (to know when your order would arrive). "Too much work to keep track of."

It usually stinks of feces or vomit! You wait forever for food. The benches are broken and patched. The staff doesn't know what to do. Worst shop in the entire area. Won't come back. I'd rather go to Dannenberg.

I used to be in Uelzen quite often, including at McDonald's. It was being remodeled at the time, but since then, it's been declining. Strangely, the entrance has been closed and boarded up for years. It's certainly no longer pleasing to the eye. But since it's unrivaled near the bypass, not much will change.

Despite pre-ordering via the app and the information that it would be freshly prepared when you arrived and gave the code, the fries arrived six minutes later soggy and cold, the pineapple turnover I ordered was an apple turnover instead, the burgers were simply carelessly slapped together, and the chocolate chip cookie unfortunately tasted like it was three days old. At least the drink was cold and didn't have tons of ice in it. It was worth another try, but I'll be avoiding this McDonald's in the future. The employees at the drive-thru were friendly, the food was below average. For €2 more, you can get two larger burgers and three times the amount of fries at the local restaurant, if you skip the drink and cookie, and they taste really good, too. Tested it two days later ;-)

Very dirty, especially the paper balls stuck to the wall. The restrooms weren't the best either (the door wouldn't lock, there was no room to use another toilet, and the squat toilet was practically falling apart. The paper was also empty.) If I had to give someone a tip, I would advise against this McDonald's.

Absolutely terrible woodturning shop. The furniture is completely worn out. But the worst part was watching an employee empty the trays, carry them on the trash can to the serving counter, and simply hand them to a colleague, who put them with the fresh ones. The kitchen obviously hadn't been cleaned in a long time, nor had the entire shop. I don't have much experience, but this was the last straw! A case for Peter Giesel or something.

Overall, everything was very dirty and sticky. I found the women's restrooms very unpleasant.

When I was at McDonald's, I saw an employee take a sip of a Coke and then put the lid on it to give it away at the drive-thru. If that's the work ethic at this McDonald's, I don't want to eat there in the future. That's why I'm only giving it one star, because I don't want to experience that.
