My best visit ever! 🤩 The employee Hasi – no joke – gives this guy a raise! So friendly, attentive, and professional, you rarely see that at McDonald's. One of the best service staff I've ever encountered. 👏 The rest of the team was also fantastic: fast, cheerful, and incredibly welcoming. We were a group, and everyone loved it! Huge kudos to the whole team in Leer; this is what makes McDonald's truly enjoyable! 🍔❤️

Unfriendly staff. Waiting times are easily 25 minutes. Guests who arrived after us received their food, but when we asked why, the only answer was "staff shortage." That was the last straw. I said, "Then please hurry up a bit," and the employee felt attacked. He said it wasn't his fault, and neither were we. I got my money back and I won't be eating in Leer again. A real shame.

The McDonald's here in Leer is clean, and the staff, in particular, is super friendly. You can also tell and see the interpersonal relationships among the staff, which means there's a great atmosphere there. As a guest, you notice a comfortable atmosphere and it's pleasant to dine there.

The warning that I didn't want a receipt was ignored! Instead, I was reminded that it could get busy (two people in the restaurant) and they wanted to keep it that way! Afterwards, I was yelled at and told to please dispose of my trash (receipt)! When I pointed this out, the good waitress became rude! Last time I was here! That's a great way to scare away customers!

Not warm. Burger was squashed and mushy. Covered in sauce on the outside. No napkins were wrapped. October 11, 2025: Cheeseburger was cold, and the chicken burger was missing half a bun! There was only bread with a chicken patty and sauce. One side of bread was missing. October 12, 2025: The cheeseburger was smeared with ketchup on the outside. No napkin was wrapped for me to wipe my hands on. October 14, 2025: Napkins were included. Burger was warm. But the Big Mac was assembled incorrectly. The chicken burger had lettuce and sauce on top of the bun. Maybe people say you shouldn't get upset about things like that. But I 100% demand the product I ordered. I can't pay €2 less per meal at McDonald's every now and then, so McDonald's shouldn't occasionally prepare its products incorrectly either.

I don't expect fine dining at a McDonald's but this place was really grim. There was a drunk guy collapsed on the floor and people were stepping over him to order at the terminals. The area where you wait for food was chaotic.

These ordering terminals take some getting used to, but it's quick once you get the hang of it.

First time back in a long time. A MC Flurry was forgotten in our order; it can happen. We were then served the missing ice without a word of apology and in complete silence. The matcha lattes were supposed to be hot, but these were lukewarm to cold. My last visit here.

McDonald's is and remains a fast-food restaurant and should be rated as such. I like the cafeteria and its sweet treats. There's something delicious for every generation, and children can also enjoy the many snacks. There's also a children's playground. Animals also find a comfortable place in the covered outdoor area. For this reason, I'm happy to give it 3 stars.

We placed an order via the screen to dine in; 2 fries, 1 double chili cheeseburger, and 2 colas. After 15 minutes, still no food, even though there were 6 people inside. At the counter, they asked in terrible English: "What is your order?" To which I replied that they could tell by the number. They rudely replied that it would be ready in 5 minutes. We then waited another 20 minutes, only to receive a completely different order: 1 cheeseburger, 2 Fanta, and a Happy Meal. They indicated that this was the order from this number. Then, via the app, they showed us that they had completely miscalculated, again without any understanding. The manager was nowhere to be found, and the employee behind the counter was preoccupied with everything but his job (read: phone use). We eventually got our money back and made it clear that we would never come back.

Incredibly friendly McDonald's. I've never experienced such friendly, helpful, and courteous service at any other branch. Thank you.

A woman with a Rammstein tattoo on her right arm interacted with us in a completely rude manner. We only wanted to order a breakfast menu at 7:00. If she had a bad night or was too tired, she shouldn't be working and then taking her bad mood out on customers. That's unacceptable.

Nowadays there are so often no shakes available and strangely always when they are listed as a coupon in the offer in the app... you could think that these are only bait offers

The food is like any other McDonald's, but the organization is disastrous. Hardly any takeaway order is complete – burgers, fries, nuggets, or other items are constantly missing. This problem has been going on for a long time and remains unresolved despite numerous complaints. Instead of taking responsibility, they simply serve any substitute at the counter. Very weak from management. This urgently needs to be addressed.

I don't even know how badly you can screw up a McFlurry. Half-thawed Oreo pieces were already completely soggy, nothing crispy or fresh anymore, such garbage. This was the last time McDonald's was empty!

It's a bit of a problem with branches these days. Sometimes you just want to leave, but you can't because you're stuck to the table or the floor. This branch is great all around. Friendly, fresh, and clean. I definitely recommend coming here. You'll even get an extra smile from the employees.

Mega large cappuccino which was def. A good thing!! The staff was quick available to help collecting the trash after eating. It was a bummer that no one in the restaurant spoke English. There was a small children playground outside.

Compared to other McDonald's, the food is one of the better ones at McDonald's in Appingedam. However, it has become quite expensive compared to a few years ago.

Since the renovation, it's been a complete disaster. I've been there 8 times and 8 times I've received the wrong item or something was missing. To top it off, the goods are now moldy. What's going on there now is pathetic.

To be honest, I've never had an order where everything was correct... Every time, something was missing or completely wrong. Sometimes entire meals and Happy Meals are missing. Is it really that difficult to get something right once? And when you call McDonald's, they consistently say, "Yeah, next time you'll get a free McSundae," but that's no excuse! Just getting something right once won't be that difficult.

I placed my order through the app and then went to the drive-thru. There are two lanes – one was free, so we queued there. Normally, the lanes rotate, but this time, six cars in the other lane were served first before we were even allowed to order. As if that wasn't annoying enough, the nuggets were left out of our order. Since we weren't eating in, driving back wasn't an option. Overall, a disappointing experience – especially if you rely on the app to save time.

The employee at the drive-thru was great. The rest of us were unfriendly. They didn't put a single dip in our bags, neither for the child's happy meal, even though we ordered two (ketchup and sweet and sour), nor the ketchup and mayo for our fries. In the end, half of them were inedible. There's nothing better than realizing at home that something's missing.

Highly recommended. The staff are very friendly, and you're served like you're in a restaurant. We were here with our youth group and had a positive culture shock.

Great food, top-notch cleanliness, super friendly staff. They even ask if everything is okay! If I could, I'd give it 10 stars.

The obviously new cashiers rudely informed me that I was no longer allowed to order at the cash register (where I ended up having to pay in cash anyway), and that ordering was only possible via screens... If there's one thing I absolutely dislike, it's these ordering things. I'll think about it five times now whether I want to do it... The nearest kebab shop is only 500 meters away, and you get more for less money there, and you'll be full for more than two hours... And I don't have to deal with those screens to order food. In that respect, the McD in Leer is a desert. Until recently, I was able to order at the checkout despite the parts... simply saying what I want is 1000x faster than those touch monsters... Even if they clean them regularly, you still feel like you're getting dirty fingers... Thanks, but no thanks... You're supposed to order expensive burgers and get zero service, which should be included in the price... P.S. and if you order at the drive-up, please make sure you check to make sure everything (and the right thing) is included... Something's regularly missing...

The McDonald's in Leer is, by and large, perfectly fine – you get your usual food, and everything tastes just right. It's definitely a pleasure to go there when you're nearby. However, there are a few obvious shortcomings that can't be ignored: The entrance to the premises is truly a disgrace. So many potholes and damage – anyone arriving there with a lowered car or a sports car might as well drive straight through to the next service appointment. That's a real shame, and it seems as if they don't care about this aspect at all. Furthermore, the cleanliness isn't always up to scratch – both the interior and the building itself could benefit from a bit more regular maintenance. The staff is friendly, but not particularly attentive or dedicated. It just seems routine, without making you feel particularly welcome as a guest. Conclusion: You can eat here, the food is okay as usual – but the surroundings leave a lot of room for improvement.

Very poor staff, who rip off teenagers by not giving them their orders. Perhaps Mr. Falke should retrain them. We will no longer support Falke McDonalds.

To be honest, I won't be coming back any time soon. Ever since new employees arrived, or at least new ones for me, the place has gone downhill. From what I can see in the reviews, these are apparently not isolated incidents. For example, today on July 25th at 1:50 p.m. there was a missing burger so I could assign the employees because it can't go on like this anymore. The staff were unfriendly, as if they were standing on an assembly line. No hello, no 'tüs', no please or thank you. The bad mood is clearly visible. The German language is also difficult to understand. That's a disgrace. At least the food still tastes good, the chefs are still pretty good, although they have lost some weight, but I have nothing to complain about.

Highly recommended. Everything was clean and tidy. Compared to many others, the tables were all clean, and the benches were free of grease and food residue. Even the restrooms were very clean. There seemed to be a good working atmosphere. Everyone was friendly to customers, which is often not the case at other McDonald's. Many thanks to Leer! Great service, the atmosphere is the best I've ever seen at a McDonald's. The winter garden is fantastic. The staff were great on Sunday morning despite the large number of visitors (the morning after the Freeforall Festival).

Another review update. The employee at the drive-thru window today, July 12th, around 5:00 PM, was truly unfriendly and couldn't even get two orders done, which wasn't a problem back then. I miss the old staffing levels from 2023.

We were simply ignored at the coffee bar! The restroom was filthy, too. We left to get coffee elsewhere.

Every thing is completley amaizing , service , team work , burger was very taste , The burger was very fresh and delicious , the coffee also , I also liked the three drawings inside the coffee cup, as well as the design of the place, and the music.

This place is always packed and always littered, the parking lot is just as bad, and there are always some hooligans hanging around in their carts. You don't feel comfortable there, Ray Kroc is turning in his grave. It's a real shame, because the food, aside from the ridiculously high prices, is actually great. I don't understand why they don't have a delivery service yet. If it works somewhere else but not here, then YOU are the problem. Get used to this age.

Great and extremely fast McDonalds despite being full

Unfortunately, it's become far too expensive. And I wonder how you can always get the wrong food. I personally have an onion allergy, and every time I order without onions, I ALWAYS get WITH 👎 terrible.

A bit from the center, 15 minutes walk from the main station. McDonald's as usual, if you like it, don't complain, if you don't like it, don't eat it. Because there is a pandemic, 6 people are allowed inside, before entering, you have to disinfect your hands, and wait for the staff to come for us. Order on the panel or at the cash register, due to the lack of people, the waiting time is fast. From the novelties, I tried the Signature Avocado Spiegelei, two beef patties, crispy bacon, soft-boiled egg and avocado paste which does all the work. It is super seasoned so it is not bland. I recommend this item. Double Big Mac mega filling beast, makes an impression.

Well, they confused the Chicken Big Mac that was supposed to be without pickles with the Big Mac that was supposed to be without pickles and onions (so now there are onions on the Big Mac), even though chicken doesn't usually even have onions on it. Apart from that, the whole thing seems more like it was thrown into the packaging than put there. But guys. 4.29 for curly fries, A SIDE DISH, which, strangely enough, couldn't be selected as a side dish (on a menu). For that, I get two burgers from you. The staff was nice, and the food was nothing special in either direction, so 3 stars seems fair.

Everything without level and quality

I was first in line at the McDrive, but my order was taken third. When I arrived, there wasn't a single car in front of me, but then I had to wait for the orders of the cars that arrived after me to be taken, and I ended up being third! That was today, June 21, 2025, around 6:30–6:40 p.m. My order was taken by an employee who speaks and understands German poorly. I request that management take appropriate action!

Very nice decor and ambiance. However, the staff is rude. They also forgot the fries, and there's hair in the McSundae. Unfortunately, it's the only McDonald's in the area. Oh, and verbal orders don't work; only digital ones.

This morning, Sunday June 15, 2025, I ordered a McWrap with a regular café. The cup wasn't full, and the McWrap had been out for too long. Despite complaining, the McDonald's employee said it was empty and that the cup would be full next time. It seems you can't get anything fresh here. The seating and some of the tables had to be cleaned before you could even sit down. When everything is in order, it's called McDonald's. Today, for me, it's McDonald's filth!!! I'll complain to headquarters in Munich.

Wonderfully delicious Six years ago, the place was still good. Now you go there and always get the wrong order. Either half the food is missing or they mix things up (wrong sauces, etc.). What a shame.

But because low-income earners get so little that they don't even answer the phone, their service department is completely out of commission. Since the senseless renovation, it's been uncomfortable and disorganized. Ordered something different than what I received. Supposedly out of stock. I ordered through the app, and it showed as in stock. If I'd known that beforehand, I wouldn't have ordered at all. Then they just left me with it. I ordered for pickup, and all the individual items were on the counter, not in a bag. No employee fully spoke German.

First of all, half of my order was missing and they should learn something about the topic of freshness control. My burger was moldy and very appetizing, the whole thing and the free ice cream was just as mediocre as the rest.

The McDonald's team here is always cheerful, friendly, and relaxed, without seeming unprofessional. You can tell they're well-coordinated because orders are delivered quickly, the food is as expected, and the store is always clean. No comparison to the Emden branch. I recommend an empty one.

Just like every other Mecces, but the service is terrible. We didn't get half our order, and when we asked the staff, they fobbed us off with something else because they apparently didn't have what we had ordered. Update: When I got home, I noticed that they had given me a vanilla shake instead of a strawberry shake. I think I'll eat at the other fast food chain across the street from now on, because my time and nerves are too valuable to me, and I haven't had such mistakes happen there before.

Ate there today and got a cold burger that, inside, was already past its best. It was truly unappetizing. But my complaint was ultimately dealt with well; they made me a new burger. My conclusion: speak up and don't let them push everything on you.

I've never had an employee come to the table at McDonald's and ask if everything is OK. Happened in Empty. Unusual, but nice.

So far I have always had good experiences here. In the last week, however, on two drive-thru orders I received either one less product or the wrong product (instead of 20 vegetarian nuggets, there was a box with mozzarella sticks and chicken nuggets). Therefore, unfortunately it is currently less recommended.

Not so nice since the renovation. The best ambience was from ~2010. Where it didn't feel like everyone could watch you.

Hello, I always liked the competitor opposite, better fries, better burgers, as far as I'm concerned. Only the Royal TS, which is most reminiscent of products from the said competitor, and the stable nuggets drove me to the seagull, but the price level is now so high that I prefer to cook myself (also applies to the competitor, btw.). So rather without me, thank you. Nevertheless, all the best for the company.

For the sake of fairness, it should be said that the concept is no longer being stuck to and things are going better again... It's no longer fun to drive through the drive and order, tonight there were 9 cars in front of me in the two lanes, it only took 34 minutes today to receive the order. In order to keep the drive times short, from order acceptance to delivery, only 2 cars are accepted to order and then there is a break until the next 2 are allowed to order at some point. How long the queue of cars is and how long the customers have to wait in total doesn't matter... the main thing is that the drive time is right. The employees are also embarrassed, but the order is crucial. Then, instead of going to the park, the cars are only allowed to drive a little further, so that if the order is ready before then, you have to wait until the person in front of you gets their order, because you won't be able to get past that way. Really the last one. The receipt on the bag is also great, with everything on it correctly, but something is always wrong or missing. I don't call to complain anymore either. I simply won't go there again in the future.
