McDonald's in Leer (Ostfriesland)

I've never had an employee come to the table at McDonald's and ask if everything is OK. Happened in Empty. Unusual, but nice.

So far I have always had good experiences here. In the last week, however, on two drive-thru orders I received either one less product or the wrong product (instead of 20 vegetarian nuggets, there was a box with mozzarella sticks and chicken nuggets). Therefore, unfortunately it is currently less recommended.

04/18/25: Food looks different than in the photo. Content is missing. Unacceptable at that price 04/26/25: Sauce missing from McFlurry 05/30/25 4 cars are served one after the other on the left drive while cars are also waiting on the right. After 19 minutes I was finally able to order on the right side

Not so nice since the renovation. The best ambience was from ~2010. Where it didn't feel like everyone could watch you.

Well, what can you say... McDonald's is not a luxury restaurant, just a cheap fast food joint. Very relaxed in between.

Hello, I always liked the competitor opposite, better fries, better burgers, as far as I'm concerned. Only the Royal TS, which is most reminiscent of products from the said competitor, and the stable nuggets drove me to the seagull, but the price level is now so high that I prefer to cook myself (also applies to the competitor, btw.). So rather without me, thank you. Nevertheless, all the best for the company.

For the sake of fairness, it should be said that the concept is no longer being stuck to and things are going better again... It's no longer fun to drive through the drive and order, tonight there were 9 cars in front of me in the two lanes, it only took 34 minutes today to receive the order. In order to keep the drive times short, from order acceptance to delivery, only 2 cars are accepted to order and then there is a break until the next 2 are allowed to order at some point. How long the queue of cars is and how long the customers have to wait in total doesn't matter... the main thing is that the drive time is right. The employees are also embarrassed, but the order is crucial. Then, instead of going to the park, the cars are only allowed to drive a little further, so that if the order is ready before then, you have to wait until the person in front of you gets their order, because you won't be able to get past that way. Really the last one. The receipt on the bag is also great, with everything on it correctly, but something is always wrong or missing. I don't call to complain anymore either. I simply won't go there again in the future.

The McDonald’s team here is always in a good mood, friendly, relaxed, but still professional. You can tell that they are well-rehearsed. Orders go quickly, the food is as expected, and the store is consistently clean. After the renovation, everything looks much more modern and tidy. Unfortunately still this “birch design”. :( Overall, a solid McDonald's with top service and quick processing.

McDonald's in Leer was really good for a while. I had nothing to complain about in terms of service, ambience or quality. Unfortunately, since the interior renovation, the ambience has been completely lost. It's simply too open, hardly any space to retreat, ordering terminals in the middle of the room next to dining guests. Many things were much better in the old room design.

May 13, 2025, 9:30 p.m. 2x portion of fries and 3x chicken nuggets burnt. 😖😖😖 No more napkins for a long time. 3 weeks ago we ordered happy meals twice. Once with nuggets, once with hamburger. In one it was just a portion of fries, no nuggets, no toys, nothing...

Nothing different than what you would expect in a McDonald's. But every now and then it's a way to fill yourself up quickly. Or the craving for fast food sends you to one of the branches.

I haven't been to McDonald's in a long time, so the size of the chicken burger really surprised me—in a bad way. My first thought: Does McDonald's now offer kids' portions?!

If you order via the app, you can get through it super quickly. The staff is friendly. The current decorative line is certainly a matter of taste - I thought it was better before. The men's toilets were a disaster on the last visit: all the urinals were out of order and the toilets looked the same!!! The food is just McDonald's - at least you won't be surprised.

So I haven't been to McDonald's in a while, but the McDonald's in empty is really great, nice and the staff is very friendly and would be happy to come back again

An employee named Rainer is simply the best, he entertained us and he is just nice and helpful. Wish him only the best, he was also super nice in another branch and great service from him.

So we were just there and thanks to the employee with the yellow shirt, such a nice man, he gave my little brother two balloons and me and my friend a straw and a lid, thank you very much 🤗

Greedy for money. Currently under renovation, MC Drive closed, thick sign "Restaurant open" .. for construction workers? No way to order, just chaos. Man hey, just close it, renovate it and then open it again... what an indictment

It is becoming more and more expensive, orders have to be checked immediately, subsequent complaints are very time-consuming and annoying. Staff mostly overwhelmed. Collections are only possible if the order is checked.

I always come for the cheeseburger, a great experience for my taste buds😍😋

Construction site, slimmed down menu selection. Toilets without water for washing hands. A person who looked like he was in charge there was ignorant or overwhelmed. At least two younger employees are helpful, thank you again!

Under renovation but was open as usual. They had put up a tent and a food truck. Menu was limited if you have a small one, which is not nice, but as an adult it certainly is. There was a toilet van in the parking lot

Nobody understands English, I ordered Big Tasty with extra meat patties, came home but there was a schnitzel, after I called McDonald's I was just dumped! The call was switched off

It's like this and sometimes like that. One day everything is fine. Orders placed are correct, the food tastes good and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately, other days it is the opposite. It always depends on who is there at the time.

Definitely recommended. The employees are very nice here and the food tastes great here too. I know more than 3 other McDonald's branches where things are much worse. But here: Top service, top food, you can't complain, the McDonalds itself simply gets a 5 out of 5 from me :D

Okay,...it's been ages since I was there. The staff really tried hard. (Not)! My language skills are limited to German/Low German and English! I listened carefully to the staff when paying, but couldn't interpret/understand them. Children with immigrant backgrounds jumped around with their shoes on benches and chairs and made balloons and leftover food fly to the delight of their parents! .....that's sad! And >No<, I'm not a Nazi! 😂 The photo of the “hamburger” I bought was a must! Size comparison is my Zippo lighter!! 🙂‍↔️-Shake your head!!

Unfortunately not so much quality anymore

You have to order everything via one screen. Not so easy for older people. Help only from visitors, the cleaner only pointed to the possibility of screen ordering without understanding. Quality of the burger dry and cold.

The garbage! The garbage! The garbage;! It is and remains a point to piss off if you live near a store like this. Contributes at least 50-60% to the shabby ambience of upper Bremer Straße. You are a nuisance and have been for years! (although I like to eat with you 👌 in the restaurant!) 😑✌️

Went there again today and found out again that not everything we ordered had been packed. Unfortunately it has happened several times now so we are now switching to Burger King.

It's okay for a quick snack, but nothing special. The food is as you would expect, but it often happens that the order is not complete or takes a little longer. The cleanliness in the restaurant could be improved, especially at peak times. Overall okay, but there is room for improvement.

If you know one, you know them all. What is noticeable, however, is that no matter when you come to MC Drive, you always have to wait. Sometimes 10 minutes. Staff is very friendly.

Unfortunately a not so fresh Mc Chicken classic 😕 Maybe you need to work on the acoustics again. It is quite loud, especially when the staff is cleaning the trays. 😮‍💨

So McDonald's is a good fast food chain, but we forgot ketchup, a Mcflurry and a spoon. Some employees were still understanding and nice to us. In addition, the toilets deserve a thorough cleaning otherwise it is acceptable and suitable as a good snack in between. Best regards Your McDonald’s junkies

I've had less good experiences with McDonald's in Leer in the past. Today, however, everything went great, even though the restaurant was busy. The menus came to the table relatively quickly and the hamburgers and French fries were hot and tasted good. The staff was also friendly and helpful. - That's how it should always be!

Friendly staff, the food is typical McDonald's. Tables were clean. The food was brought to my table. Didn't have to wait long and the staff was friendly.

We ordered Mc Plant nuggets, but then got chicken. We spoke to employees and received rude answers. Always break through only when you order the mc plans are not as easy to break through as chicken!!

Hello, I bought a reusable coffee cup today that I unfortunately left behind. When I noticed this, I went back to the Ambiente with my colleague and looked for him. Unfortunately, this could no longer be found after 2 minutes after leaving the ambience. For this reason I unfortunately have to write this review.

Who came up with this interior design? I was afraid that something would fall into my food, it was just too dirty for me. The tables were also too greasy for me. Portions are getting smaller and smaller. Going there once a year is still too much.

Amazing just perfect A little dirty but still amazing

Yesterday I went to McDonald’s with friends. We actually just wanted to make a short detour because we wanted to buy milkshakes and ice cream. All the iced drinks weren't available. So it started well and you could only buy McFlurry's. That's what I did and as we waited, an employee from behind suddenly shouted "Don't make any more ice cream!!" I already suspected something bad and this was reflected in my ice cream. That was a portion of a McSundae. And I paid €4.00 for it. When my friend got her McFlurry, the portion was filled to the top. We then went to the employee and he said, “Oh, then I’ll do something extra for you.” Super nice in itself, but if I had known that it was just chocolate sauce and a few cookie dough pieces, I could have saved myself the effort! Totally a shame and will never be empty again!!

Order cheap burgers and sticky fries at the greasy terminal and eat while sitting on uncomfortable chairs. Super. I keep going back without knowing why!

They are becoming quite expensive at the MC, it is almost impossible to afford as a family anymore. But fortunately here the mayonnaise is free. In the Netherlands you pay the top price. 0.60 per container....

We were positively impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant, the impeccable free WiFi and the furnishings. Unfortunately, several things were also noticed negatively. At the beginning, the entrance is not easy to find or easy to miss (as the entrance was not directly at the restaurant and, at the time of my visit, not clearly marked) if you don't know your way around. We decided to have the food brought to the table, which was probably a mistake. After a few minutes we were only brought the drinks and the fries from our two menus, which were only lukewarm. The accompanying burgers and nuggets (standard, no special requests) took almost 15 minutes to arrive, which in my opinion doesn't speak for a fast food restaurant. The nuggets were also cold and half of the burgers had already fallen out/next to the burger before we even took them out of the packaging. Since we were hungry and didn't feel like waiting that long again, we decided not to return but we won't come here again. Of course there is always the possibility that we had a bad day but it wasn't particularly busy and there was just too much going on for me to give a better rating.

Unfriendly employee at Mc Drive!!! Apparently you can't put extra jalapeños on the burger... strangely enough, this works in other McDonald's too (and they don't know friendliness there either).. Plus, something is ALWAYS forgotten when ordering, unbelievable. In any case, we won't be going here anymore.

Waited almost 15 minutes for 3 cheeseburgers and 1 fries. Well, the food was cold but at least the sauce was there. Cleanliness is no longer a priority, there is dirt and hair everywhere and you don't want to sit down at one of these tables. At the front of the counter you have to be careful not to slip because the floor is as greasy as it is despite wiping. Unfortunately it's becoming more and more disappointing. 👎 Oh yeah, I wanted to give my feedback on the receipt, that doesn't work either. The code is supposedly invalid. (tried 2 receipts, both invalid)

When it came to the McDrive, the other side was often preferred, and I felt neglected. I was coming from a game and thought I could quickly get something from McDrive, but I had to wait half an hour even though there were only 3 cars in front of me. LG

There is always at least one product missing with every order. That's no longer normal. Especially if you ask the staff about it, you will sometimes receive unfriendly answers. This has definitely become a reason for me not to visit this McDonald's anymore...

The guy at mcdrive is a disaster. Saturday.07.09.24 He insulted me so much… and he wanted to know why and why do I want to talk to the manager!!

I'm here once a month. Actually, I was always happy. There is lactose-free milk coffee here. But today the sandwich wasn't wrapped, but put in the take-away bag. And they also put the sweetener I ordered in my coffee. Now he's terribly cute. Let's see how things are going in 4 weeks. The toilet was very dirty, just open. Update September 2024 I'm on night shift and wanted to get something to eat. The employees were not motivated and didn't say "good morning" or "goodbye". The floor is greasy. At least everything was freshly prepared and still warm when I got home.

The fries could have been a bit better

First I had to wait 50 minutes for my food. When I wanted to eat at home, we got two normal 6-piece nuggets instead of 6-piece plantbase nuggets. McShaker Fries and 4 sauces were missing...

Were in Mc Drive, I'm satisfied.

It is very difficult for some people to order food at the appointment. A McDonald's employee also had a hard time helping me. After a few tries it worked, I thought. But not everything the employee had entered came through. So, anything new is not good. Unfortunately, not all employees can understand me because they don't understand German. Very unfortunate.

Best branch I've ever visited! It is very clean and the staff is super nice and accommodating! I and my friends were a bit taken aback by the fact that the burger had been completely postponed, it looked like it was taken a little too quickly, and a nice older gentleman was there and immediately offered to bring me a new one. Call that perfect customer service! And I come from Berlin so I know things can get very bad, unfortunately! I don't know so much friendliness there! My friends and I were very, very positively surprised! A completely relaxed meal! Thank you again and again! Attention is a good thing! Keep it up dear team!

It's getting worse and worse. You simply no longer get what you order and it only falls on deaf ears. To the chagrin of the still few but good employees. I'm going to Burger King in the future.

Just like a McDonald's. So far I have always received everything I ordered. The place was always clean and I always found a parking space. The bins were never overflowing and I never had a stomach ache after a visit. I am very satisfied with the McDonald's in Leer. The food is always prepared quickly.

You can do it, Empty is far better than Emden

The burgers were hot and freshly prepared and super tasty. The fries were well salted and tasted very good, not as wobbly as usual. The vanilla milkshake and the Twix McFlurry were also very tasty and even filled to the top. Very, very clean MC's, so it's fun to eat there again :)

Quality and service, as usual. Unfortunately, shortages are very common when orders are taken away from home!

Takeaway food, always a disaster. There are boards hanging there where every order is listed. Why can't they get everything there that they want? There's always something missing here and something there. catastrophe

To be honest, completely over salted, disgusting. There is no drive in if you come in with an e-bike because you are in a hurry... You are welcome to keep your paint cracks and I will never eat mc Kacklitz again
