Very often items are missing from the order or the order is incorrect.

The place was dirty. The floor was slippery. The food was cold and the fries weren't crispy.

UPDATE: The service here is still terrible – absolutely no courteous or attentive service to customers. McDonald's in Heide is definitely out of the question for us! Terrific service! Perhaps they should save their money on vouchers for the cinema or similar venues if they're unable to properly serve customers due to staff shortages. I declined my voucher, as it meant using the self-service kiosk, which was faster and the staff were friendlier. This concept needs to be reconsidered... and this isn't even happening during peak season! 🤔 Absolutely terrible service; the tables are ALWAYS dirty and greasy.

I'd give it zero stars if I could. After 15 minutes at the McCafé, when nothing had happened, they only started preparing it after I asked at the counter. So we ended up with a lukewarm latte macchiato after 20 minutes. No excuse for forgetting. Unacceptable at these prices.

The food was unfortunately cold, the restaurant was too crowded, and we didn't have time to complain. It was very dirty: tables hadn't been wiped, and there were food scraps on the seats. Unfortunately, this wasn't the first time we've experienced this.

I'm not from around here, but at our local McDonald's, they don't have properly clean dishes (glasses, cups, spoons) or attentive staff. For example, here I was asked if the hot chocolate I ordered for my son shouldn't be quite so hot... It's just a small thing, but I've never experienced anything like that at any other McDonald's. As I said, the dishes here are very clean, the food is fresh and hot, and the staff are very attentive and service-oriented. 👍🏼 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡ Very nice here 💙

Hello. We ate at McDonald's on Saturday evening, November 15th, 2025, and it confirmed once again how bad things have unfortunately become. The burgers were lukewarm, the fries were cold, and the staff was clearly overwhelmed by the number of customers; consequently, we waited a very long time for our food.

In this branch, the products are always only half-filled. 🤬 I hate that. Every single time 🤬

The worst McDonald's I've ever been to. The food itself was okay, but the ordering process and the service were terrible. I ordered the same meal twice, as well as two other meal deals. Even while ordering, I was explicitly asked if I really wanted the same meal twice. When the food arrived, however, instead of my ordered Burger M, there was a Big Mac in the bag. When I complained, I received an outrageous response: They claimed I had ordered a Big Mac and even accused me of lying. I then had to buy another Burger M, while I was told I could either throw the Big Mac away or take it with me, since I had supposedly ordered and paid for it. At home, I checked the receipt again and realized: I had indeed paid for the M meal twice – so the mistake was clearly McDonald's. Conclusion: I will never go to this location again. Next time, I'm definitely going to a different McDonald's.

I wanted a Sprite, not a cup full of ice with a little Sprite flavor, but okay.

They always do something wrong or forget part of the order.

Dirty tables again. Unmotivated staff. Cold, soggy fries and burgers. And the burgers were stuck together. Absolutely disgusting.

A typical McDonald's. However, even when it's busy, you don't have to wait long for your food. The standard practice here is that you're usually missing at least one item from your order at the drive-thru. Most often, it's a portion of fries. With a larger order, it's usually two. Since this is standard practice, it was my last visit. I really wouldn't recommend it. Unless you want to pay for things you don't receive, or have to chase after them!

I ordered via app on October 26, 2025. I walked in. It was quite busy, but many people already had their food. I waited patiently for my order, while several people complained that items from the order were missing. No "no excuses," nothing... At some point, a lady called out 178 (I had 180), and no one moved, so these bags must have been sitting on the counter for a good five minutes. I thought to myself... it must be mine, but 178 was called out, and there was nothing written on the board above. At some point, a colleague took pity on the lady and asked his colleague what it was, and very quickly, 178 became 180 (mind you, it had been on the counter the whole time)... he needed to check quickly, and when I said it had been there the whole time, there was no reaction... He said everything was correct and gave me the bags. We'd barely gotten to the car and unpacked everything when we realized half of it was missing: 1 burger, 1 small fries, 1 mayo, and 2 sauces for the nuggets, although the sauces weren't available until later. So I went back inside and got a RUDE response... no apology, nothing... and the fries I ordered WITHOUT salt also came WITH salt. So, yes, I'd have to wait another 5 minutes... I declined, since my already almost cold food would probably be completely cold... not even compensation, just a cheesy "have a nice day"...

Always delicious cappuccinos ☕! On a positive note, friendly staff isn't a given at McDonald's! Please keep it up 🙏🏾!

I've been receiving incorrect orders more and more often for some time now. Today we just wanted to get some ice cream inside. We left; I've never seen a food store so dirty.

Friendly staff. Sometimes something is forgotten when ordering but it is often quite stressful

Almost every order is incorrect, and it often takes an unreasonable amount of time to get my food. They no longer serve plant-based burgers. This was my last visit here.

So, I ordered two hours ago, even though the app said it would take between 40 and 65 minutes. I'm really disappointed because maybe they could adjust the delivery times.

It's a disaster. We've been sitting here for over 40 minutes, and many people who ordered after us are getting their food before us. The staff aren't making any effort either, and the friendliness is anything but unbearable.

It's a McDonald's like any other. Unfortunately, my burger and lattice potatoes weren't quite hot. However, the staff were very friendly, with smiles on their faces and a joy in their work. I would go back if I'm in the area.

Edit: I have to reduce my old 5-star review to one star! This store has been incredibly filthy for a few months! This afternoon at 1 p.m., I first ate at an incredibly dirty table (all the tables looked like that), and the floor definitely hadn't been swept since breakfast because there were at least 100 fries lying around. My meal was good, but when I went to the bathroom afterward, I almost fainted! The bathroom looked like something from a festival! So incredibly dirty and soaking wet. For the first time in my life, I went to the counter to complain about the bathroom. The real bombshell, though, was parked in front of the store. A big, brown Mercedes SUV with an MD license plate, so obviously a manager! But if the bosses don't notice the situation, I can't expect the employees to either, who, by the way, were in abundance today. I've had similar experiences repeatedly in the last few weeks. For me, this is the worst-run MD I've ever been to! I'm happy that we have the best, friendliest, and cleanest branch in Germany in Heide. This is just my personal opinion, but I speak from the experience of at least 100 branches nationwide!

Ordered food via app for pick-up/take-away... just got 2 completely wrong burgers

A disastrous McDonald's, from the over 20-minute wait for our meal, to soggy fries, squashed burgers (see photo), and unfriendly employees. The lady at the counter didn't know how to say hello, let alone please or goodbye. The restrooms were abysmally dirty. Never again!

I generally understand when people are busy, but I find a 45-minute wait at a fast-food chain a bit much. I demanded my money back and received it without any courtesy. A quiet, and seemingly insincere, apology was then offered. Pretty aloof...

I always enjoy American food. It's okay here.

Now, with these temperatures, you can't get hot burgers or fries. Those were the days when Mr. Jüchter had his staff under control.

Truly a McDonald's where orders were brought to the table in no time. We observed this with other guests as well.

I ordered food to my home. Delivery was supposed to take 20-45 minutes. After 1.5 hours, I wanted to know where my order was. A very rude lady told me it was still being delivered. No apology, nothing. It took two hours! I finally got my food. Incompetence has a name... McDonald's!

Food: Usual McDonald's standard. However, the quality varies – sometimes the food is hot and fresh, other days rather cold. Service: Very variable depending on the staff. Sometimes friendly and fast, sometimes rather slow or unfriendly. Opening Hours: Officially open until 1:00 AM. However, there have been several occasions when the branch was already closed between midnight and 12:15 AM, even though employees were still present. Atmosphere: The branch is no longer brand new and appears worn in places. Cleanliness also varies and depends largely on the staff. Conclusion: Unfortunately, I've had more negative experiences recently, hence only 2 out of 5 stars. In the past, I would have given it 3 or 4 stars.

In my opinion, they should pay a little more attention to cleanliness there. Tables and even the chairs were dirty and sticky.

I've never been to such a dirty McDonald's! The tables are dirty, the floor is dirty from the restrooms, and I won't even get started. If I'd seen this sooner, I wouldn't have eaten there!

At McDonald's, we expect things to be quick and clean. Neither of these things was the case 12 days ago on a Saturday during normal lunchtime business shortly before 2 p.m.

There were so many guests that it was almost impossible to find a seat. The wait for the food was about 10 minutes. The tray containers were overflowing.

I had lunch there with my children (ages 12, 10, and 6). We all really enjoyed the food, and it was relatively clean and comfortable. I can definitely recommend this McDonald's.

I recently went to McDonald's here in Heide to pick up my order and had a very unpleasant experience. While I was waiting, three male employees were noticeably whispering to each other, repeatedly glancing at me, and laughing. This behavior clearly seemed directed at me and was anything but professional. I felt extremely uncomfortable and not taken seriously in this situation. It gave the impression that I was being laughed at – which is completely inappropriate in a public space, especially by service personnel. I politely pointed out to one of the employees at the end that they could tell me directly next time if there was anything to laugh about me – in the hope of respectfully drawing attention to the inappropriate behavior. Unfortunately, there was no apology or other understanding. Overall, I found the situation disrespectful and, to some extent, discriminatory. From a company like McDonald's, I expect a professional demeanor from its employees. I very much hope that this feedback will be taken seriously and that a more respectful approach to customers will be ensured in the future.

I wouldn't give it a star if I could! The kids wanted food from McDonald's. Not my thing, but what wouldn't you do for the kids? I was supposed to pay almost €60, but unfortunately I only had a €200 note left, and the card was in another car. No, they wouldn't accept it, I was told. Why, I have no idea! So I went home without the food! Definitely my last visit to McDonald's! Probably better for my health too!

I'm very disappointed. The service was extremely unfriendly, the new prices aren't really sustainable, and I felt the love and care shown in the preparation of the meal was lacking.

Last time I ate at McDonald's, the fries were soggy, the burgers had too much sauce on them, and they were cold... and the burgers are getting smaller and smaller. I threw half of them away.

1st order Water instead of Sprite and toys missing, it can happen, queued up again and complained because something else had to be ordered anyway. 2nd order 1 Happy Meal missing, 1 burger missing, and instead of regular nuggets, it was plant nuggets... there wasn't time to properly check, the employee insisted we leave because it was extremely busy, just a city run. Once home, I noticed something was missing, called the employee, stressed and rude, no time for it, it's so busy. Service and finding a solution are difficult, I'm told to either come back or go to the shift manager tomorrow. They were probably overwhelmed with the workload, but it's very disappointing when 2 out of 2 orders are wrong/incorrect.

Unfortunately the staff have been unfriendly on several occasions. We only got part of our order. We wanted to order what we had forgotten but were told to do so at the second window. There we were told in a very unfriendly manner that this was not possible. We did not want to queue for another 25 minutes. It's a real shame that in the end we only got one menu.

If there were a sixth star, I would give it! The management deserves special mention! Always delicious.

No, unfriendly boss and hardly any parking spaces

Employees are walking over food lying around. Ice cream is spilling over the cabinet under the ice cream machine. Sauces are running down the cabinet. And all of this is happening right at the counter. I've never seen anything so disgusting. One reason not to visit McDonald's in Heide again. Simply disgusting!!!!!

I'm pretty annoyed... I ordered at the McDonough Drive-In.... Today at 10:24, there was no other customer in front of me. I ordered a McMuffin Frech Chicken meal, plus a hot chocolate. A car came up behind me as I drove toward the checkout. The lady there took my money... then it took about a minute, and I got the food in a bag plus a drink. Then I drove home to eat there. When I unpacked, I found a package with 4 small mini pancakes... and a packet of chocolate sauce. Wow, thanks for nothing! But of course, I paid for the other meal I had also ordered... Sorry if it's busy, okay... but it isn't! And you should be able to tell the difference! When you pack things! Especially since I also noticed that there should have been 6 pancakes... Well, the lady was probably hungry herself...

The food was as expected, friendly staff, some of the tables weren't wiped down, otherwise everything was good!

I had a wrap with honey mustard sauce. The salad was fresh, the sauce was slapped on it - but it tasted good - the chicken was hot, but this wrap was wrapped around it cold and tasted completely neutral, like cardboard. And no, I didn't forget to remove the packaging. It's a shame, but only buy it to throw away the wrap, no.

Even if we're not fans of fast food, sometimes there's no other way. At McDonalds again for years and for the first time in Heide. There were plenty of free parking spaces and the restaurant itself was also very clean (on a Monday evening after 9 p.m.). Ordering at the terminal was easy, but if you pay with a card and have to enter your PIN, it's very inconvenient and you have to bend down very low. The burgers were freshly prepared and everything happened very quickly. Nothing was missing either. The very friendly staff was also positive and the toilet was also very clean.

Cheeseburger, double cheeseburger and chicken burger all on the top half of average, nothing to complain about. The bench in the corner could use some renovation. Mobile ordering with table service no problems, even late in the evening. Nice staff. 5 stars for the McFlurry with chocolate sauce + Oreo, which was ungodly overfilled with those, so be it!

As is often the case, the fries were unfortunately cold. Got new ones immediately after I complained, but you could avoid that in the first place. And the music that plays is enough to make you run away🤣

The delivery service is terrible. Either something's missing, or they sometimes deliver something different than what was ordered. The best part was when they advertised a 20-35 minute delivery time, and they came after almost two hours. I'm fed up.

Wie in jeder Filiale ist es extrem dreckig! Ich selbst, meine schon die Toilette, aber da meine Tochter musste, auf in den Kampf. Der Fußboden dreckig und so klebrig, daß man mit Mühe da durchläuft. Toilette wie immer voll gesaut und nicht mal Toilettenpapier gab es, damit man überhaupt mal etwas wischen konnte. Tisch wie immer mit den Resten der Vorgänger belegt und beschmiert. Leute ändert mal was! Es geht um Lebensmittel und dem Verzehr, das kann nicht sein. Man muss schon viel Geld für Essen ausgeben, da kann man doch erwarten, daß dort mal eine Reinigungsfima oder Personal durchwischt oder guckt. Essen lauwarm, Personal aber freundlich.

Disappointing McSundae way too small! See image I ordered McSundae today, but the portion was tiny! The cup wasn't nearly as full as I'm used to. A real disappointment for the price. We ordered plant based nuggets and there was a sticker on it but the normal chicken nuggets were still inside. It's really great when you bite into it and then realize that it's meat because you can't tell from the breading, I don't mind if the wrong ones are given out that sucks, but then putting the plan sticker on it is really cheeky.

The McDonald’s Restaurant in Heide impresses with its professionalism and quality. The atmosphere is pleasant, the rooms are clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly, courteous and works efficiently, even at peak times. Particularly positive is the quick preparation of the dishes, which are always fresh and attractively presented. The modern equipment, such as the self-service terminals, enables smooth and individual ordering. A successful overall experience – absolutely recommended.

I only got a chicken burger even though I bought an MC smart menu, it's a shame such a store

It was probably my last visit. Staff is rather unfriendly. The food is becoming less and less and the price is higher. The breakfast was carelessly thrown together and cost more than at a very good bakery.

It was very full and you would think that fresh food was being prepared all the time, but when the food came to the table, the fries were only lukewarm, one portion was missing and by the time the complaint was made, the nuggets that came with it were also only lukewarm .

The food was good but the entire dining area was a bit unclean. The food leftovers from the people in front of me were still stuck to the table. So I would recommend the drive in or takeaway

Of the many McDonald's branches I've visited in my life, it's certainly one of the best. Friendly service, warm, fresh food, tidy and clean - and the toilets clean too. There was nothing to complain about, we'll come back when we're nearby 😎👍

After thinking about it for a long time, I decided to write a review. On the weekends in the evening there are usually very unfriendly people working at the MCdrive who hand in the orders incomplete. The last few times something was always missing. Despite requests to change this, something is always forgotten. Too bad!

Recently I was totally disappointed by Burger King and now here too... You drive off yourself because delivery services are no longer offered. Okay, one thing if you don't have enough staff after a certain time. Not that much was ordered extra and with few extra requests. And yet something is forgotten. You set off again because this time you trusted that everything was there. There wasn't really a direct apology. The missing things and if not there would have been a riot, I ended up paying for them. But there was no compensation, it was probably too nice. Will never visit this restaurant again.

During my stay there was a predominantly female team, friendly, courteous, attentive, quick and clean, friendly and helpful interactions with each other despite the idiosyncratic espresso machine. I liked it a lot.

The MC rib has been depressingly under-sauced twice in a row and today there is a whopping 1 piece of onion on it. Finally do it again like before.

My children always personalize their burgers, but unfortunately mistakes are made all too often. This time it was positive, I also got the rest of the things new because I had to wait so long.

Unfortunately, since work processes were changed, it seems that parts of the order are forgotten or mixed up with other orders every second time the item is picked up at Mc Drive. Be it toys from point redemptions that were forgotten to pack, 6 chicken nuggets that are missing when redeeming vouchers or, for example, 20 Chicken Mc Nuggets that are missing and BigMac + CurlyFries are missing. Just yesterday the Oreo-Coke-Zero can from the point redemption was forgotten to be given out. I now check that my order is complete every time I receive it, but I am still annoyed by the significant deterioration in service. The processes should be urgently checked. What I find striking is that these mistakes almost exclusively happen when there are more staff behind the counter.

Unfortunately, ordering at the self-service counters doesn't always work. It wasn't very busy at that time, so I really don't think it's nice that all the tables weren't even wiped. There were leftovers everywhere, the collection points for the trays were already overfull. So inviting is different
