McDonald's in Amberg

We waited 40 minutes for our food, which has nothing to do with a fast food restaurant. The fries were already cold. I hope this gets better

Waiting times get longer every time. Most of the staff aren't really friendly either. Please do not order ice cream with a menu, it is always half melted.

Completely disappointing experience at this McDonald's. They do not have any numbers at the self-checkout kiosk. Customers are stacked up by the main counter trying to pick up their orders. Frustrating to say the least not what one expects out of McDonald's hallmark quality and standards. All bathrooms were dirty with all the trash bins full of garbage and in need of tidying up. Overall the worst McDonald's that I have been to in Germany so far. Sorry, but I won't be visiting here again.

Unfortunately, you rarely get what you order. You really have to unpack everything there to really contact whether the order is correct. It's a shame, the employees are also very unfriendly. So it's getting worse and worse in the store, it's best to avoid it. Today was really a highlight, ordered an MC flurry Minecraft. Received, melted soup, not even a half full cup. Then we asked if we could get a new one, the first lady said no, that was normal because it was the Minecraft mv flurry. Then she brought another lady over and she told us that she would make a new one.. We got the same cup, with a little more ice but just as liquid as before.. and yes it was exactly the same cup as before, so nothing was new there..

I received it via Lieferando over 1 1/2 hours ago. Ordered. Delivery hasn't arrived yet, we're hungry, we can't reach anyone by phone, what kind of fucking joke is that?

Newly renovated and clean restaurant, looks chic. There was nothing to complain about, food as usual.

So it's really 🙌 great that McDonald's delivers. Works really well too. We have ordered many times now, the food arrives warm, never forgets anything and tastes just like in a restaurant. Dear McDonald’s team, I would like to contact you with a complaint regarding our visit to your branch in Amberg. We had to wait over an hour for our food. After about 40 minutes, we kindly pointed out to the staff that we hadn't received our order yet. Unfortunately, there was no reaction, no response or apology - neither at that time nor later. What was particularly incomprehensible to us was that several tables that arrived well after us received their food without any problems and much faster. This no longer has anything to do with a BigTasty – nor with a “fast-food restaurant”.

Not recommended. Food was completely cold. The new white chocolate raspberry bag was also not packed to order. Not recommended at all for some time now, the store in Ebermannsdorf works much better.

Was here again for the first time since the modernization! Many chairs without backrests… totally uncomfortable to sit on. The food was as usual, but I had to wait a whopping 33 minutes for my food, the staff was totally overwhelmed! The new concept doesn't work, especially who sits on a chair without a backrest to eat? I can only shake my head!

45 min. Waiting time for a burger

An absolutely terrible store since the makeover in March 2025. Visually built in brutalist style - it couldn't have been done better 80 years ago. And there is no concept of space at all, people have to stand around somewhere between toilets and cash registers to wait for their food. Monitors with the orders can hardly be seen (if they are used at all). Terrible.

The food was really good, but what bothered me was that 4 children got a balloon and I didn't get one. Was very sad and that ruined everything🥲

Freshly renovated but the interior is the Cleanliness still bad! In the Mc Drive my burger was also forgotten after waiting for 20 minutes. Service 5 stars for Darren. Best man without him everything would be lost.

So now it's newly renovated, the McD. A little concrete look makes it look slightly cold, but the cheerful postal color cheers it up again. It looks modern, perhaps even a little handicapped-friendly. The new entrance gate and the “garden” are among my highlights.

McDonald’s – New design, old problems My last visit to McDonald’s was an experience of mixed emotions. First the positive: The store has been redesigned, and really well! Modern, clean and inviting - you almost feel like you're in a premium burger joint (until you see the menu). But then came the catch: the staff. Even though the facility was new, the old problem remained - the employees seemed 80% haphazard. I waited a full 25 minutes for my food, which gave me enough time to memorize the entire menu and reflect on life. Fast food? More like slow food with drive-in meditation. Conclusion: A state-of-the-art ambience with the classic McDonald’s waiting feeling

45 minutes on McDrive is until the highlight. It's a shame there's nothing else around here, but I definitely won't be going here again. At the moment I can cook something for myself and never save money on gas again

The food was cold again :( and of course the toys were missing from our 2 Happy Meals. That's not possible. We waited 30 minutes even though there was very little going on.

Absolutely the worst McDonald's I know. If you order more than 4 things, at least 2 of the things you ordered are missing. In the drive-in you stand in the restaurant for at least a quarter of an hour and even wait 20-30 minutes for your cold food. The staff is unfriendly and doesn't speak German. If you complain because part of the order is missing, it just means that it's not your problem and that can happen. The right step for this McDonald's would be either closure or a complete redesign of the employees including the owner.

If you compare the price with some Italians - go to the Italian. Ok for weekday evenings - when everything else is closed - after a movie night. Employees are i. d. R. Always nice. Attention: you can meet Merz, Söder and Scholz here…

The breakfast is delicious, the staff is friendly and quick, parking is very good. The only drawback is that the prices are quite high.

I ordered a Hamburger Royal Ts and there were green tomatoes on it. The fries here are cold, limp and unsalted. Why can every other McDonald's make fries well except this one? The food gets worse from time to time. It's a shame because I used to enjoy eating here...

It's very sad when you don't speak German at the sales desk or don't even understand the word sugar for coffee. It's no fun to go there anymore.

I'm actually a Burger King fan, but because of a visit to Hagebaumarkt I went to Mäc... So the burger was like leather and dry like the sole of a shoe. The fries are no longer long and no longer crispy. Remoulade also saves a lot of money. All around the service works well. So it's better to go to Burger King, everything is fine. ☝️

Lower tier McDonalds experience when compared to others in Germany. Fries are served cold, food (burgers) are somewhat soggy, and a clear lack of quality. Restaurant lacks cleanliness as well. Definitely cannot recommend dining here at all.

Were here today around 10:30 p.m. There were no clean tables and the floor under the tables was also dirty. Unfortunately the cake doesn't taste like it used to! Everything has become more expensive, the cake is smaller and worse... Really a shame.

Standing in front of the closed McDonald's today at 6:14 a.m. (December 6th, 2024) on a Friday and saw the opening hours sign. According to him, it is open from 6 a.m. Friday. It's a shame but then don't write something like that on your door. Light was already on.

By far the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. Completely overcrowded, everything dirty. The order terminals all only work sporadically. The employees are completely overwhelmed and the orders are only complete if you're lucky.

McDonald's is already very well known. And basically you know what to expect. But what I've had to experience several times in Amberg is the last straw. I've been there three times in the evening on Fridays around 10 in the last 4-6 weeks :30 at the mc drive. The first time a nine nugget was missing and at home I was disillusioned that not everyone was full but €5.99 had disappeared. When Second time I should have known better. But the hunger was stronger after driving many hundreds of kilometers. First there was a language barrier with an employee of this company. After this hurdle was overcome. The EC card reader didn't work and I offered to come along to pay in cash. The overwhelmed employee nervously called a colleague and they both fiddled around and said try it now. It still didn't work and after 10 minutes my hard-earned cash was accepted (yay). When I finally got the food, I was completely annoyed I'm glad that I finally got away from it. At home there was the next "highlight". The cheeseburger was missing and who's surprised? This time there was another one that couldn't get enough at home. A few weeks later and I was out and about a lot again and went back there in the evening. Mentioned this in advance every time something is missing and it's annoying that you don't get what you ordered AND paid for. I asked you to pack everything in, even in times when you have to tighten your belt :-) No matter what, I looked nervously at home and was surprised to see that almost everything was in there this time. The only thing missing was the mayo, but we were able to cope with that. Conclusion: Maybe Burger King and their expired burgers and sauces as shown in Walraff on rtl deserve a second chance. At least you still get something to eat. A mouse in a burger is better than no burger at all :-)

The atmosphere inside the restaurant on weekends is generally family-friendly. Parents and grandparents often come with their children and grandchildren to spend a good time with each other. There are some entertainment activities for children, such as games and gifts, provided with meals. Car parking is widely available.

The food might be quite good, but the last three times the food was always cold, even though we ate in the restaurant. Unfortunately, that's not so great.

If the employees weren't overwhelmed with a large order, the guests would also get their fries. 2 times reefs & 2 times normal fries were "forgotten". Veggi nuggets completely hard, as if they had been fried twice. Ordered food for just under 60 euros and only received food worth 40 euros. From now on, all orders will be checked before acceptance. Important question: Did the employees eat our fries themselves or give them to the next guest?

This branch used to be the best I've known for over 20 years. For about a year the quality had dropped dramatically. There is no longer table service in the evenings and cards are no longer hung on the ordering terminals. The burgers are now carelessly slapped together, strangely enough you can taste it. The patties are sometimes cold or lukewarm with a bit of luck. We were always happy when we were out and about in Amberg; it was a must for us to rest at Mäkki and eat the delicious burgers. But as I said, that was once.
