McDonald's in Amberg

McFlurry and other products are not made with care, and orders don't arrive; you only get your food after asking. This is no longer fast food, and cleanliness leaves much to be desired.

Sometimes things are missing from the bag, but if you go and politely complain, they give you the missing items without any fuss. It shouldn't happen at all, but McDonald's employees are only human. I was here again on October 28th, 2025, in the evening; it wasn't very busy. Some seating areas had spilled Coke or something similar on them, and used trays were on others. None of the staff thought it necessary to clean or tidy up; only the table service displays were taken from these tables back to the self-checkout lanes. It seems like people just don't notice; maybe it's the same at their homes. All the renovations haven't helped.

A great branch with a modern interior and friendly staff (especially at breakfast time). The only thing is that the service could be a bit faster after the system change—but I assume that will improve over time. Fortunately, the parking spaces comply with DIN standards, which makes up for this and leads to the fifth star.

The quality of the food is typical McDonald's, which is fine. Unfortunately, special offers are either not available at all, or are supposedly "no longer available" a few hours after the offer starts. When you come in early to make sure you get a specific product, there are unfortunately no staff members there who feel responsible for guests. Even after calling several times, no one has responded.

A beautiful, almost nostalgic Mägges that just keeps going. Always nice people at the counter, and the best part!... the lounge at the back of the McCafe. A great reminder of the good old days. P.S.: Be careful in the drive-thru! The curve is really tricky. Make a video of how you manage it without looping... 😲😎😩

I'm super happy BUT WHERE IS MY MC PLANT? Without MC Plant, life makes no sense

After more than 20 minutes, we finally got our food, but a drink and the lattice potatoes were missing. These were served to us later without comment and without a word of apology.

Last night, I placed a takeout order at your restaurant. I was extremely disappointed with the way I was treated. After waiting for our order for an extended period, we inquired about its status at the counter, as the screen showed it as ready for pickup. We were ignored by one of your employees. Although other customers were being served and the restaurant was not crowded, the employee kept us waiting for over 20 minutes. When our order was finally ready, it was practically thrown at us without a word and in an rude manner. I am appalled by this lack of customer service.

When ordering "to-go," you have to double-check everything to avoid any nasty surprises. It's happened to me a few times, but unfortunately, I haven't complained that often, and we're actually regulars.

I firmly believe in good quality and that McD values ​​its customers' health. Really!!! Really, believe me. Oh yeah, I'm happy to use the restroom here for free.

Very friendly and courteous staff. Sometimes they even clear the table, which I think is absolutely fantastic. Children are catered to and balloons are handed out. Negative: Very often on weekends, the current toy advertised in the advertisements is no longer available. We've had to drive to a McDonald's further away several times because the toy was out of stock. Also, sometimes Capri Sun or ice cream in the Happy Meal are sold out. Especially on weekends with children, when the visit should be something special, it's a real shame when the child is sad.

Since Mc's was remodeled, service has been much worse, and during normal business hours you wait half an hour to get your food.

In an attempt to protect my new cherry blossom drink, I stacked my available napkins against the drinks, but to no avail. Fifteen flies are hard to ward off. I felt bad, because I had showered before. When I finally finished my cold chicken nuggets and the meager, not-so-good new burger, I decided to share this unique experience with you. Samurai burger is the worst. I ordered a Sakura Sprite, but I got a pink water. Rock-hard cookie. And about 50 flies in the room. Otherwise, it's great. And the black pepper soy sauce tastes like furt. Conclusion: absolutely rancid. FILTH!

Unfortunately, our order was recorded incorrectly, and the explanation was that the payment had to be made in cash because there had been an error online. I ordered plant nuggets but received regular chicken nuggets. I reported it to the cashier, but the lady at the cashier had no idea what she was doing. She then forwarded it to management, and the management tried to explain to me that they were plant nuggets, even though you could tell by the shape of the nuggets.

It's newly decorated and beautifully furnished. And the staff are super friendly, and they seem to be asking if everything's okay or if anything else is needed. So, not a bad place to start. And if you get hungry in a hurry, whether healthy or not, there's always something there.

The taste has been great since the remodel. Nice atmosphere. Tables could be wiped down more quickly. Otherwise, it's great. The only annoying thing was that I had to reassemble my burger myself. It's a shame.

Completely disappointing experience at this McDonald's. They do not have any numbers at the self-checkout kiosk. Customers are stacked up by the main counter trying to pick up their orders. Dear McDonald’s team, I would like to contact you with a complaint regarding our visit to your branch in Amberg. We had to wait over an hour for our food. After about 40 minutes, we kindly pointed out to the staff that we hadn't received our order yet. Unfortunately, there was no reaction, no response or apology - neither at that time nor later. What was particularly incomprehensible to us was that several tables that arrived well after us received their food without any problems and much faster. This no longer has anything to do with a BigTasty – nor with a “fast-food restaurant”.

Not recommended. Food was completely cold. The new white chocolate raspberry bag was also not packed to order. Not recommended at all for some time now, the store in Ebermannsdorf works much better.

Was here again for the first time since the modernization! Many chairs without backrests… totally uncomfortable to sit on. The food was as usual, but I had to wait a whopping 33 minutes for my food, the staff was totally overwhelmed! The new concept doesn't work, especially who sits on a chair without a backrest to eat? I can only shake my head!

An absolutely terrible store since the makeover in March 2025. Visually built in brutalist style - it couldn't have been done better 80 years ago. And there is no concept of space at all, people have to stand around somewhere between toilets and cash registers to wait for their food. Monitors with the orders can hardly be seen (if they are used at all). Terrible.

So now it's newly renovated, the McD. A little concrete look makes it look slightly cold, but the cheerful postal color cheers it up again. It looks modern, perhaps even a little handicapped-friendly. The new entrance gate and the “garden” are among my highlights.

Absolutely the worst McDonald's I know. If you order more than 4 things, at least 2 of the things you ordered are missing. In the drive-in you stand in the restaurant for at least a quarter of an hour and even wait 20-30 minutes for your cold food. The staff is unfriendly and doesn't speak German. If you complain because part of the order is missing, it just means that it's not your problem and that can happen. The right step for this McDonald's would be either closure or a complete redesign of the employees including the owner.

If you compare the price with some Italians - go to the Italian. Ok for weekday evenings - when everything else is closed - after a movie night. Employees are i. d. R. Always nice. Attention: you can meet Merz, Söder and Scholz here…

The breakfast is delicious, the staff is friendly and quick, parking is very good. The only drawback is that the prices are quite high.

I'm actually a Burger King fan, but because of a visit to Hagebaumarkt I went to Mäc... So the burger was like leather and dry like the sole of a shoe.
