McDonald's in Traunstein

We ordered plant-based nuggets at the drive-thru. We waited 15-20 minutes, only to find out on the highway that, out of 20, we'd been sold 8 stale, chewy nuggets. A shame.

It's a very small McDonald's, which makes it feel a bit different from what you're used to. When we were there, there were technical issues with the terminals and cash registers. However, the staff handled it very well and had everything under control. Renovations are planned for the near future.

The castles always look so crappy inside! And for such an overpriced price! It's simply a disgrace! They should be ashamed of their kitchens! Disgusting!

I'm not usually particularly picky when it comes to fast food, but this visit to McDonald's was truly terrible. What was intended as a quick snack unfortunately turned into a very unpleasant evening. The restaurant itself looked fine – the usual McDonald's atmosphere with the familiar self-service kiosks and typical ambiance. Ordering was also easy via the digital kiosks, and the wait time was normal. We took the food to go and ate it in the car. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. The food made a questionable impression from the first bite – the fries were soggy and the burger somehow didn't taste fresh. The meat had a strange consistency and a peculiar aftertaste, something I'd never experienced at McDonald's before. But I put it down to the sauce, which I hadn't experienced on the special burger. About two hours after eating, it became clearly noticeable that something might have been off with the quality of the food. My stomach rumbled violently, and I spent the rest of the evening with very unpleasant problems. Both my upper and lower digestive tracts showed clear reactions to the food I had consumed—if you know what I mean. The cleanliness was okay. The staff was friendly, but that doesn't help much when food safety is clearly not guaranteed. I will definitely avoid this location and can only advise everyone to be careful.

It's just sad what they sell as "food" there. A chemical set is definitely cheaper 🙈 Every time I eat that crap, I get so ill! Personally, I would classify anything you can buy there as hazardous waste.

Significantly smaller portions of ice cream and sauces than usual at McDonald's. Despite warnings, there was no way to fix it... even a second spoon wasn't available when asked. I've never experienced anything like this at McDonald's before...

Just ate something there and was completely disappointed! Thursday 9:30 p.m.: The team is completely overwhelmed and can't keep up. The food and the order are completely wrong, and inquiries are unfortunately met with disinterest.

What McDonald's has been doing lately is unacceptable and borders on deliberate customer contempt. Orders are regularly filled incorrectly, even when individual ingredients have been explicitly deselected due to proven intolerances. It creates the impression that either no one reads the instructions – or simply doesn't care. This is not only annoying, but also a health hazard. The QR codes for pickup sometimes work, sometimes don't – they're completely unreliable. During peak times, this leads to a total organizational breakdown. Anyone who values efficiency will only be frustrated here. The hygiene conditions are sometimes appalling: sticky counters, unkempt restrooms, openly stored food scraps – this is nowhere near what one would expect from an international corporation. And then there are the prices: Average, poor-quality products are now commanding a premium price. Anyone who thinks customers won't notice is seriously mistaken. This combination of ignorance, negligence, and rip-offs is simply no longer acceptable. McDonald's is apparently only living off the reputation of past decades – the reality has long since changed.

I have no idea what's going on in the kitchen. Back then, they used to put half a cucumber skin in the salad instead of a cucumber, and recently, somehow, they've just started tipping the fries into the bag. So, the standards here aren't really high. But the price is high. Absolutely outrageous.

Absolutely blown away by this McDonald’s! My family and I felt like we stepped into a fine dining experience—live flowers on the tables, lightning-fast service, and Laila, the attendant, was incredible. She took care of every customer with warmth and professionalism. This place sets a new standard for fast food!

The fries are made by the kilo, even though the restaurant is empty. If you order any menu, the fries that come with it are the same as they were 1 hour ago. Cold fries, thin and withered by time...I've been to all McDonald's in all countries; Italy, France, Austria, Romania, Hungary, Czech Republic...same recipe...fries for more than 1 hour, they sit under the lamp unserved, until a sucker comes, gives a lot of money, orders and is served cold fries.

Unfortunately, the air conditioning isn't turned on, and it's 30°C outside. It's almost impossible to sit inside because it's not air-conditioned. That's not what you'd expect from a fast-food chain.

A decent McDonald's, however, does not always have the entire app menu available locally.

The service was great and the restaurant was very well maintained.

First time at an overseas McDonald's in many years and...at least for breakfast so far...it's very different from an American McDonald's. I ordered through the automated Kiosk and, fortunately, it has a feature where it can be set to English because my German isn't good enough yet to understand all the various menu items. You'll have to see the menu first hand to understand (sorry I didn't get a picture of it) but it is very different from the one you would see in America. Tasty, but very different, so just be prepared.

An experience! Truly fantastic service from the staff. I've never experienced so much passion and commitment in a McDonald's branch. Top!

An almost historic inn dating back to around 1984. It boasts a beautiful baroque ceiling and a traditional Bavarian-style parlor. Horse riding is also available for the St. George's Ride. A true Chiemgau treat.

And once again, I went there during opening hours and everything was already locked... it's not the first time this has happened. The employees there seem to just do whatever they want. Unfortunately, you don't feel welcome there anymore; friendliness was never a big plus point for this branch in the past. I would replace the entire staff there and start over!

I'm not a fan of it, but what I saw was people trying really hard. It was really nice to see how they interacted with people, and the coffee tasted good too.

To ensure that the order is complete, MY RECOMMENDATION: have the individual products put in your car 😉

McDonalds halt: Qualität wie in allen anderen Filialen auch. Gerne mal nicht so richtig "Fast"-Food und immer wieder mal Fehler in der Drive-Bestellung (Burger falsch, fehlen oder zu viel, Soßen falsch,...) dann aber auch absolut problemlos bei der Reklamation!

I've been going to McDonald's in Traunstein for years and have never complained, but now I've had enough! The burgers are ALWAYS just slapped together and everything is then distributed next to it in the box. The staff is just like that, sometimes very nice, but sometimes impossible and without any decency! Today I ordered via the app and unfortunately I came to pick it up 5 minutes after breakfast time, 5 MINUTES, no more!!! Then they said we can only give them part of the order, ok, annoying but I can live with it, I was promised that not the entire order but only what I got would be deducted from Apple Pay, well, Also a lie... Thank you... the entire bill was charged to me! I am very disappointed and angry, this store is no comparison to the friendly, tidy and thorough location in Grabenstätt, everything there is ALWAYS tip top!!! Oh and dear Traunstein residents: in Grabenstätt the Dounats haven't dried out either!!!

Every McDonald's is somehow the same but different. Service there was top. Food was good. But it will never be enough for 5 stars because there is always something that doesn't fit. I'm always at the drive-thru and something is always forgotten. After I learned to check the order based on the quantity, I recently started forgetting the sauces 🙄 If you're lucky, the food is warm, otherwise you'll end up with soggy fries. The last few times we had a milkshake we always had gastrointestinal problems.

Ordered a cappuccino with an extra shot of espresso (+60 cents), only a simple one was made. Employee noticed but acted like she took an extra shot. Absolute no-go.

Ordered breakfast via app. The order was completed and paid for at 10:05am. When we arrived on site (10:30 a.m. sharp), the waitress told us that we were unlucky and wouldn't get anything anymore because we were late. When I kindly pointed out to her that the order had been placed and paid for 20 minutes ago and that we weren't late, she said it wouldn't be in the system. After ENDLESS discussion, after a long wait (they had to rebuild the grill just because of us, why that happened before 10:30 a.m. with an open and paid order), we received our order with the words "that's how it works "not in the future". I have never experienced such an outrageous manner. Simply trying to withhold a paid order because you as a restaurant don't want to stick to your own set times is the bottom drawer and closer to a crime than to bad service. Edit: the order was still incomplete. Intentional or accidental? I think more the former

We ordered at the terminal and completed the food order at the restaurant at 11:35 p.m. And only when the payment process was completed did the store management employee stand next to us and explain that only take-away food would be served. If we had known this, we would have changed or canceled the order. Even worse than the staff was the quality of the fries. They were limp and had a very strange aftertaste. Like oven fries that you take out of the oven after ten minutes. Inedible! We suspect that the fries were not heated in the fat long enough. Unfortunately we had to throw away a large part of them as they were uneatable. Dealing with guests simply cannot be compared to that in real restaurants with service staff. But your handling of food, dear people at McDonald's, is not working at all!

Every time I leave this place I am disappointed. The waiters are always friendly, but the chefs are careless in their work. At Happy Meal, potatoes are thrown and always scattered. Coffee can be made in a dirty glass. Requests will not be taken into account if I note in the order that I do not eat onions. One time no bacon was added and when I reported it the chef added cold bacon. Potatoes are often cold. I don't like writing bad reviews, but this is seriously the worst McDonald's I've ever been to.

It's a typical McDonald's, but often the ordering terminals don't work and then you have to wait. Apart from that the service is good. You can't see much outside, but in good weather it's still better than inside.

I waited far too long for my chicken nuggets and when they finally arrived there were only 19 of them. Cmmn. The curly fries tasted like oasch and were like a gum deep in my mouth. The burger looked like a Lego set to build together. Mc Flurry was great.

Unfortunately, as a customer, this “management” also talks to you very stupidly, and although the opening hours are until 1 a.m. on Fridays, you are pointed out in a very unfriendly manner at 12:15 a.m. I can only advise everyone never to start there and, if possible, to get their food from another McDonald's.

Very small McDonald's but beautifully decorated for Christmas. Eat as usual. Lots of families and young people here. Also easy to reach from the A8 motorway.

Das war heute am 08.01.24 um 13:44 Uhr Leider ist und bleibt die Traunsteiner Filiale die schlechteste die ich kenne. Aber ich wohne halt in Traunstein. Es ist schon traurig wenn man sich von Minderjährigen belehren lassen muss. Beim zahlen an der Kasse, wollte ich mein Cola ohne Eis. So mache ich es seit vielen vielen Jahren. Die sehr junge Angestellte meinte: Das können Sie am Automaten bei Extras eingeben. Das habe ich nicht gesehen. Das steht aber bei Extras da, meinte Sie. Das ist so Standard bei Mc Donalds wurde ich belehrt. Nur so zum Thema Standard. Als ich im Sommer in Kroatien bei Mc Donalds Cola bestellte, stand es direkt bei der Cola Auswahl. Und nicht irgendwo bei Extras. Dann stellt sie mir meine Bestellung mit Tablett hin. Ich sage, ich habe zum mitnehmen bestellt. Hier steht aber nicht zum mitnehmen. Ich habe 100%ig zum mitnehmen bestellt. Wenn ich keine Eiswürfel möchte ist das für mich kein Extra. Wenn ich Eiswürfel möchte, das ist ein Extra. Und übrigens war die 0,4 Cola 1cm unterm Eichstrich. Genauso waren die Pommes beim Smartmenü am Anfang lächerlich klein gegenüber anderen Filialen. Hier wird scheinbar gespart wo es nur geht.
