McDonald's in Landau in der Pfalz

I ate a wrap and a cheeseburger around midnight yesterday. I immediately got stomach cramps, and this morning I started vomiting and everything else that goes with it. 🤮 Never again.

The restrooms are simply disgusting: dirt on the floor, filthy toilets, and no toilet paper. The screens and tables are dirty and greasy, and the tables are often covered in food scraps. The burgers are lukewarm if you're lucky; otherwise, they're cold. The burgers aren't properly topped and look like everything was just thrown in. This was the case for both my husband and me. The drinks, especially the cola, taste just like water. Overall, it's very unhygienic. I won't be going there again.

Absolutely terrible. I ordered via table service. After 35 minutes, my order still hadn't arrived. When I asked the server, they said "it's coming right up." After 40 minutes, it finally arrived. Unfortunately, the order was all wrong: the wrong wrap, and the burger and fries were cold. While I was in the restaurant, every other order was wrong. There were a lot of complaints, including missing burgers, a meat wrap delivered even though I ordered vegetarian, and much more. I strongly advise against ordering from this restaurant!

I ate at McDonald's in Landau today and was extremely disappointed. The nuggets were dry and tasted strongly of old, stale oil – you could really tell the oil wasn't fresh. It was truly disgusting and barely edible. The fries were completely cold and had obviously been sitting out for a while. The burger was also cold, and half of it was missing. For a well-known fast-food chain, I expect at least fresh and hot food. This experience was absolutely unacceptable. I sincerely hope that they urgently address the quality, freshness, and hygiene issues, because I definitely don't want to eat there again.

Although it was busy, the order arrived at the table quickly. Despite the snow, everything was clean. There was even water for the dog.

Often something is missing at the drive-thru, which is a bit annoying... And the McRib is often not fresh (because the sauce has already dried up!). Update: December 31, 2025, at approximately 4:50 PM... First, we were asked to leave the restaurant shortly before 5 PM because they were closing (despite having an active online order). Only after showing our PayPal receipt were they able to prepare food for us (to go). One Chicken Classic was missing, the food was cold, and one of the burgers had been squashed into the burger (which is not only disgusting but also violates hygiene regulations). The fries were cold and tasted of old grease. The drinks were undrinkable, like they'd been pulled down the drain and were almost flat. Furthermore, it looked like a bomb had gone off (even though the restaurant wasn't very busy). See attached pictures!!!

Upon entering, you see people assembling their orders at horribly smeared screens. Things went downhill when I tried to place my order at the register, as usual. I wanted a "Chickenburger" and a "Cheeseburger." What? Chicken nuggets? No, a Chickenburger! McChicken? No, the Chickenburger—the one with the sweet and sour, slightly spicy sauce—so, a Cheeseburger? No, a Chickenburger AND a Cheeseburger—and a McRib and a Big Mac, to eat in, and two orders of fries—one with ketchup and one with mayo. To eat in? Yes, to eat in. Are you eating in? Yes, I wanted to eat it here. That was actually the point where I just wanted to leave... then the bill arrived: €2.50 for what I would describe as a misshapen, soggy macaron. The presentation and the delivered product were extremely misleading for both the Cheeseburger and the Chickenburger. The McRib was—okay. Crooked—but with enough sauce and toppings—all acceptable. The Big Mac – dry as hell – had the advantage that you didn't get your fingers too dirty assembling it, since everything was more or less like a finished Jenga game in the box. I only got ketchup twice – no mayo. I thought to myself – what's going on here? At the kebab shop around the corner, I get a huge, crispy roll with the finest meat, a delicious sauce, and all served with lettuce and tomato... for the same price. And here, this crap in a cardboard tray. The tables were smeared too. I used to love going to McDonald's. What have you done? I don't even expect to get my burger in a Styrofoam container like in the '80s. And I don't care about paper straws since I just drink from a cup. I don't understand why so many people still go there. McDonald's is just a shadow of its former self. The Stromberg commercial is all well and good, but being there – pure disappointment. I don't think I'll be going there again for the next year or two. Maybe something will have changed by then. At least my stomach held up, so it doesn't seem to have been too bad hygiene-wise in the kitchen. I've had much worse experiences. I looked around carefully – there was no sign of hidden cameras or anything like that. That's really the reality there.

Why were all the vegetarian/vegan burgers suddenly discontinued? Only plant nuggets are available now :( Very disappointing.

It's great that the order is delivered to the table and relatively quickly too. The tables are also cleaned regularly! That's not the case everywhere!

I recently visited McDonald’s and had a really good experience. The service was fast, the staff was friendly, and everything was clean and organized. My order was prepared correctly, and the food was fresh and tasty. I especially appreciated how quickly they handled the queue, even though it was pretty busy. Overall, it’s a reliable place for a quick meal with consistent quality. I’ll definitely be coming back!

McDonald's has done better in the past. Besides, it's outdated in terms of both products and value for money. The service is so impersonal, and that applies to all branches. It's okay to go there in a pinch.

Well. Today I forgot part of my order again at the McDrive. Then they "argued" with me, saying this couldn't be right. Then the worst part: I found a piece of plastic (?) or some kind of baking paper in my Big Rösti. And no, it wasn't salad... Hygienic and health-wise questionable! I contacted the franchisee by email.

It's a relatively good McDonald's. Clean. Unfortunately, at the drive-thru, parts of the order or requested extras like salt were often missing. Wait times at the drive-thru are usually 10-15 minutes, which is absolutely unacceptable.

Unqualified staff; you have to repeat yourself ten times like a broken radio before you can place your order, and the food isn't fresh. I've had stomach aches the last two times I've eaten there, and the chalkboard in McDonald's is broken. I'm monitoring this situation and will report it to the consumer protection agency and the health department.

Every time I'm there, something's missing or my order is wrong. Thank goodness these people don't work in life-or-death situations. Train your staff; it's unacceptable to make mistakes constantly in a job like that.

It's 2025 and there are still no vegan burgers. From now on, it's only Burger King for me, thanks for nothing.

Unfortunately, the burgers and fries were ice cold. I complained about my burger, but my husband ate his cold. I got the one I complained about back warm, but it was slapped together without any care. Unfortunately, the staff on that shift weren't particularly motivated either. My husband has decided that we'll go to a competitor in the future. What a pity

I'm truly disappointed with my visit. Even upon entering the store, I didn't feel welcome. The employees seemed stressed, but instead of remaining friendly or at least neutral, they were visibly unfriendly and annoyed. The highlight, however, was the situation at the checkout: We stood there for over 10 minutes and were completely ignored. No "Just a moment, please," no eye contact, no explanation—nothing. Meanwhile, two employees walked right past us without any reaction. It felt like we were completely irrelevant. A simple, brief apology or a reminder that we'd be back soon would have been enough—but even that didn't happen. For a business that relies on customer satisfaction, this kind of behavior is simply unacceptable. You feel neither taken seriously nor respected. After this experience, I will definitely not return and cannot recommend the store in this form.

I had pre-ordered using the app in the parking lot and paid on the spot. When I went in shortly afterwards to pick up my order, an employee told me there was no order under that number and I should order again. When I pointed out to her that I had already paid, she said it was no problem and that I would probably get my money back in a week?! Of course, I didn't respond to that, so she called her supervisor, who dealt with my problem with obvious reluctance. The tone was beyond unfriendly to customers! When I was eating on the go, I unfortunately discovered that 1. my drink was the wrong one and 2. my Royal TS unfortunately came with bacon?! ... From the service to the food, it was a disaster, and that with the prices now so high.

When we first ordered, the salad dressing wasn't included. The forks weren't included either. We were missing three sauces. The cookie was out of the right flavor. They just brought me another one. The drinks didn't come with ice cubes, as we had ordered. The burger didn't have lettuce and was as thin as bread. The people were also totally unfriendly. When we told them we were missing something, they just sighed and left us when I gave them the items. The veggie burger I actually wanted to order was sold out and no longer available. Overall, there was almost nothing vegetarian on the menu.

When I arrived, the cashier wasn't working. When they brought my order, I spilled Coca-Cola all over my shirt as I was putting it on the table. They only gave me some tissues.

We've been rarely getting anything from the McDrive for a while now, as the prices are simply too high. But after finding a half-eaten burger at home today, we're going to avoid the place completely! Nice €8.99 thrown in the trash... Thanks a lot...!

Had the employee of the month today. Waited from 5:45 p.m. and a woman in front of me. It took the Mc employee until 6:11 p.m. to get 4 articles onto the tablet. The shift manager just stared at the young women and strutted like a rooster. Like he was the greatest. In response to my complaint, the employee preferred to be replaced by a colleague and Captain Gockel didn't care one bit. So there was no sign of competence.

Waiting time after ordering in drive in is a disaster! Fast food chain turned in waiting time of fine dining…. We waited 20 minutes after order in the car just to pick up cold burgers… 20!!! Minutes and cold burgers, super bad combo

You stand in line at the service counter to order. No one pays any attention to you for five minutes. And then they tell you to order from the machine.

First, you have to use vending machines inside the restaurant, which makes it impossible to order in person. Then, at the drive-thru, you have to deal with staff who speak unclearly and don't understand anything. Then you realize the fries are missing... 2 km further on... and you haven't received a receipt. For that price—there are other competitors...

The waitress at the McDonald's drive-thru speaks very poor German. I can't scan the QR code to collect points. She doesn't understand what I want at all. The food is served without a receipt. When I ask for a receipt, it's not there, and it takes several minutes to get one.

I've always enjoyed coming here. But the quality of the food has declined considerably. Cold, over-salted, soggy fries, burgers carelessly thrown together, and the worst part was that I've already had bits of a disintegrating paper napkin in my Coke twice. They probably wipe the vending machines with these wipes from time to time. But having that in my mouth almost made me throw up. I couldn't eat the entire meal afterwards. It was just disgusting. Note that this was already the second time. I haven't been there since. Oh yeah, and I had the curly fries once, and they were sour and inedible.

We were there this morning just before 8 a.m. and wanted breakfast. The store is supposed to be open from 7 a.m., according to the information on the entrance door, but lo and behold, the store was closed, with no lights and no staff. So, you can't rely on the store anymore! Then, no more!

There were a lot of green flies inside and the toilets were very dirty.

Specially drove past the Mc Cafe for a good cup of coffee, this coffee still appears to be weak "machine coffee". My partner's macchiato came from a nice piston machine and tasted fine. Now for the regular coffee... A nice slide for the kids, clean sanitary facilities and nice coffee cups.

The service is okay; we had to ask several times because the server didn't know the burger we had chosen from the menu. Food: Something I never thought possible – Burger King has overtaken McDonald's. The ambiance gets 5 stars because I ate the "meal" in my convertible. Quote from a response here: "We would like to show you that we can do this better. Thank you in advance." No, you can't. Otherwise, it would be better.

Warm was there on May 24th at 9:45 p.m. and ordered a meal with the intention of getting a glass of whatever was available. My girlfriend and I were "served" by four men (they were behind the cash register). We then wanted to say which glass we would like (if it was in stock), and the men looked at us and asked what kind of special offer we were talking about. We then pointed behind them, where an advertisement was running saying that you get one glass with your meal. They looked at it, turned to us, and cheekily said with a grin on their faces that the special offer wasn't available. They also became very rude to us afterward.

Waited 20 minutes for the food, burgers were cold. False games in the Happy Meal, missing ketchup, wrong burger. Staff unfriendly and overwhelmed at 11 a.m.

The McFlurry portion here is incredibly small. The cup is half full, and not even properly. €4.50 for this is outrageous. I've always gotten significantly more at other McFlurrys.

Just a fast food restaurant. With MC-Drive you notice that things have to be done quickly. Then you open the packaging in the car and find that the rolls have been slapped in carelessly and listlessly. The sauce runs out and spreads around the packaging before you take it out. It's a shame that hardly any Germans work here anymore and the employees only do the job because they have to and can't find anything else. At least that's how they give you the impression.

Update 04/26/25: I was hungry late last night and got there in 1:45. Fries were cold, white and salty (I was too resigned to complain and only said something as I was leaving). Somehow Curlies weren't really cooked through either, but at least they were warm. The Big Mac: The patty was only half in the bun at the bottom and looked like crap and loveless when I opened the box. I mean, of course there wasn't much going on in the middle of the night, so I don't think they were stressed in the kitchen, but probably just not in the mood... August 2024: I really hate giving bad reviews, but being friendly is different. Food has also decreased significantly in the last few years...

My order that I placed in the store for TAKE AWAY was served on 2 trays to eat there and I was missing 4 sauces and a whole burger menu.

Faulty and not fresh, even though unpacked and eaten straight in the car. The cheeseburger without the cucumber had one after all. Of two chicken burgers, one was a cheeseburger. All burgers were lukewarm. The fries were cold, right to the core. I have no idea how long this has all been lying around. Disgusting.

What a shame, I was there twice. Once last year and last Saturday on Saturday. And on both occasions I ordered through the machine and stated that I wanted to eat it on site, paid for it at the checkout as usual and got a sign. Then I waited and waited for my food. After 20 minutes nothing came. My friend who ordered later got his food before me. Then a friendly employee told me that I should pick it up!? In Neustadt, for example, it is not the case. At least my food is brought there! It was like that in Landau on both occasions!? Then I had to eat my food slightly cold.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my visit to McDonald's in Landau. The first time, my burger was completely mushy and looked absolutely unappetizing - it really makes you lose your appetite. Things didn't get any better on the second visit: I selected table service in the app, but the food just wasn't delivered. It was only after a while that I realized that I would have had to get it myself - even though table service was clearly selected. Unfortunately, by the time I finally had it, the food was cold. Visiting McDonald’s is really no fun. Too bad!

The last 3 times, whether in the drive-in or in a restaurant, every time I was disappointed!! Ordered Mc Plant, unfortunately there was real meat in the burger - not possible at all!! The previous times something was missing from the order. Unfortunately it's no longer what it used to be.

I always liked going there, especially after school trips. Then I'd stay a little longer with friends/schoolmates (3.5 hours) and, whoosh, €50 was gone for parking too long. It's not like we were ordering food repeatedly during that time... Absolutely disgusting, and the parking sign wasn't clearly marked. I won't be leaving any money there again.

A bit noisy here at lunchtime, but the service is top. You can even get the food brought straight to your table. You can order either at the counter or at the new large ordering touch screens. Very clean here, like my last visit a while ago.

On Monday, December 16, 2024 AD. I visited this local restaurant at the Golden M for the first time in my young life. From Landau main train station, I set off on the almost 1km journey on foot. When I arrived at the restaurant, I was positively surprised by the open design and atmosphere of the establishment. As is usual in other locations of the same company, I was able to use the human-free ordering method on the in-house screen. Once I finished my order on that big-screen ordering machine (as a side note, I chose a chicken burger and a menu consisting of nine pieces of chicken, a large portion of fried potato sticks and a Coke), I made my way to the one made especially for me table provided. After walking about 20 meters, I had just sat down when suddenly the very friendly and competent waitress stood in front of me with the food tray. I have never experienced such quick service in all my years of life. Cheers! The food itself corresponded to the standards that the restaurant chain tries to set for itself and is therefore neither to be criticized nor praised. However, I left the place satisfied and will definitely consider further visits in the golden future that lies ahead for us all.

Impudence! We were in McDonalds for 3 hours and ate something and talked. We had to pay a parking fee of €50.00 because you can only park there for 2 hours. The license plate is recorded when driving in. Most expensive McDonald's visit ever. I won't go here anymore!

Ordered from the DriveIn today and things were missing again. Every time we eat on site or take food home, little things are missing. Today, however, the netted potatoes and sauces were missing. The most ridiculous thing is that if you order a burger with bacon you get 1 strip of bacon no bigger than a nugget! You pay a lot of money and only have trouble with the orders! And I don't think there's any need to mention what the burgers look like. And thank you for missing things even in the Happy Meal! Children are really happy when things are missing, like fries or gifts! World class

A McDonald's like any other, a bit small and cramped but ok. The food was ready quickly. The employee with the 1977 tattoo on his neck should be named Employee of the Year. He was very nice and attentive. Immediately wiped every table and cleaned up trash. I haven't come across such a decent store in a long time.
