McDonald's in Alfeld (Leine)

My better half unfortunately bought food here again. The last meal wasn't tasty or even looked good. This time, though, McDonald's really outdid themselves. I personally don't like their slop anyway, but when it's on the table... what can you do? :-( The burgers I had—sorry, I don't know the names of the items—were definitely run over by the floor. They were layered completely wrong, more like a construction kit than food. If you're going to employ such incompetent people, at least get someone who can assemble such a lousy burger. Even I know that the top layer (the rounded half of the bun) doesn't belong in the middle. On top of that was a piece of that disgusting cardboard-like meat. Another one was just as disfigured and had to be manually corrected to even remotely resemble the misleading pictures they use in their ads. In short, my better half brought four of them home. I forced one down, and the second one already tasted like cleaning fluid. After that, I didn't eat anything else, and the rest went straight in the trash. Cleaning fluid belongs somewhere else, not in food. Apparently, the place is dirty enough, as you often read. To offer all this at such an exorbitant price is... Not just cheeky, but outright rip-off and fraud. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time; so far, we've only been cheated in the "normal" way, with missing food or receiving something completely different than ordered. But this is unacceptable.

Last or first stop on my regular route near the B3. Sometimes crowded during promotional campaigns. Otherwise, quiet and quick to use. A reliable and uncomplicated base for travel.

Everything was in disarray, 10 people were messing around with the same menu, several customers were given the wrong sauces, and the reusable Coke cup they ordered was filled with Fanta. No one had a clue, and the manager just stood there and watched. Plus, many of the tables were dirty. Ugh.

The staff is lovely. I forgot my wallet once, but the manager saved it and returned it safe and sound. They also mixed up my order because there were a lot of people there, but they quickly fixed it without any problems. Today, one guy remade my cappuccino because it was too sweet, without arguing or asking any questions. That was a pleasure. Thank you.

Half sold out, staff said when asked, it's being cleaned, an hour later, lunch break, 2 hours later, it wasn't delivered... Oh dear... 👎

Ordered vegan nuggets, got animal-based nuggets... 2x(!) Ordered coffee with oat milk, got lactose-free cow's milk. Now the vegetarian burger is also gone, a place to run away from!

Every time you drive through the drive-thru, something's missing! Sometimes it's nuggets, sometimes a drink, etc.

There was one chicken nugget in the package of vegan nuggets. I ordered two McPlants, which, despite ordering the same sauce, came with different sauces (one with chili sauce, mustard, and ketchup, the other with just mustard and ketchup). The Caramel Macchiato had no caramel sauce on top of the milk foam, which has been the case at every other McDonald's so far. The lobby was very dirty and untidy; the three tray carts lined up next to each other were overflowing. Customers had already placed their trays on the surrounding tables because there was no space, despite the good staffing. It wasn't particularly busy either. The benches didn't appear to have been wiped down in a while.

Cold burgers don't even get melted cheese, they get it refrigerator cold. When I asked, I was told that the cheese melts because the meat is hot. Unfortunately, nothing melts on cold meat. My first impression of this restaurant is a hit!

I'd prefer zero stars. You wait 10 minutes at the McDrive, and during that time there were at least 10 rats running around...disgusting. The meal was immediately canceled, and the only response was, "What are we supposed to do?" Abysmal.

I stood there for 10 minutes in front of the window, wasn't served, and was treated rudely. Never again will I be completely overwhelmed with two customers. This again!

Unfortunately, it's very dirty. The tables aren't wiped down, and the benches are covered in crumbs. Very unpleasant.

Be sure to check the bags every time you go to the drive-thru McDonough. Don't drive away. Look inside the bags right in front of the window and compare them with your receipt. Something is always missing! From multiple bags of fries to burgers. It's so annoying.

Never everything is complete, long wait times, dirty, the worst McD in the area for years. A shame.

I found McDonald's to be unclean. The carts where you leave your tablet weren't emptied. There were leftover food on the floor, and some tables weren't cleaned. There were enough staff, but their work wasn't noticed.

McDonald's offers reliable classics served quickly. The food usually tastes good, but the freshness sometimes varies. The staff is generally friendly, and the atmosphere is uncomplicated.

We had to repeat our order several times because the staff apparently barely spoke German. While we were waiting at the McDrive, at least five rats ran around the store in the few minutes that followed. Two came out of the wooden shed where they apparently store garbage. When we received our order, half was missing. By the time we got the rest, the rest was already cold. There was a dark, medium-length hair on one of the burgers. Truly a disgrace, disgusting, and a disgrace even for McDonald's.

Staff fully staffed Store maybe 30% full Clumsy, unfriendly responses to inquiries; only after a firm inquiry did they begin preparing the order. The staff needs further training...

Unfortunately, the impression was unhygienic. During our visit, we immediately noticed a strong smell of urine in the restrooms. A broken urinal made the smell even worse – this area urgently needs repair. Overall, the restrooms gave an unhygienic impression. The touchscreen on the ordering terminal also only worked to a limited extent, which made the ordering process difficult. Unfortunately, this gave the overall impression of being rather negative. With a little more care and maintenance, this could be significantly improved.

I'm sorry to say this, but for me, this is the best McDonald's. I've always only used the drive-thru. I don't know why, but the employees always seem to be in a bad mood. I, on the other hand, would love to work there someday.

I don't know what's going on with McDonald's these days. But the management doesn't seem to be there. The trash is overflowing over the tables, and things aren't looking much better outside. Everyone's already drunk on me. Some of the employees are walking around in baggy clothes, like their personal clothes. Gloves are also overrated these days. You should definitely consider avoiding McDonald's in Alfeld.

The quality is unfortunately abysmal, but it's definitely been better. Both the burger and fries are good. If you have digestive issues, I recommend the Chicken Big Mac, and those problems go away. Thanks for the help.

Embarrassing... Ordered two meals and instead of two 0.5-liter drinks, I got two 0.4-liter drinks with the message that they were out of 0.5-liter cups...you can pay, but you get 0.4 liters... With the Happy Meal, no packaging or carton was given, with the explanation that there weren't any left...10 minutes later, others received a Happy Meal with a carton... A toy wasn't included; I had to ask for it when the food was brought to the table, and then they acted perplexed, "Isn't there one?" ...You had to tell him, "Do you see one here?"... The answer came: "There are no more toys...only cards or books." Then a book was brought...the whole time with a big grin on his face... Well, anyone who treats their customers like that, (and they only get their pay from the customers) doesn't even deserve that... On top of that, 90 percent of the tables were dirty... McDonalds Alfeld, what have you ever become... You're now rid of us and all our staff! You're not even worth a cent! 🤮

If I could give zero stars, I would! After complaining directly to McDonald's, someone was supposed to get in touch. After three months, no response. Nothing has been done, quite the opposite. As you can see in the picture above, you wait almost 20 minutes just to place your order (I turned on the stopwatch after a few minutes), the burgers were bad and just thrown in the packaging. Canceling the pickle slices didn't work again, even though they could stick the sticker on three burgers. The staff were unfriendly and rude. As I said, I sent this review to McDonald's a long time ago. Nobody seems to care. And the excuse that the place is full isn't acceptable either. That's what management does, which handles staff scheduling. It can go wrong sometimes, but not regularly. If the employees would at least treat you with respect, it would be a different story. But even that doesn't work. So all in all: This branch has deteriorated significantly. Let's see if anyone feels responsible...

The service really shouldn't have been given a star! The food was incredibly unfriendly! The food also looked unappetizing! I've been there twice and it's always the same. The team there can never handle orders! I'll never go there again!

Always check your order straight away when driving, there is usually something missing, even if it's just what was served.

We ordered a plant-based burger without cheese and got it with cheese. The burger is super small and costs €7. Impossible. But it's dripping with fat. If you like that, we don't.

So, dirty as always. The lobby wasn't clean, and that was at 3 p.m. on Whit Monday. There was hardly anything going on, but all the employees were just standing around. I was a branch manager at McDonald's and Burger King, but we didn't have anything like that. No one feels responsible for cleaning. And the shift supervisors just stand around stupidly. No one feels responsible for it. I come by every two weeks, and it always looks like this. Why, I wonder. Who's supposed to clean it? If you're still looking for a new shift supervisor, get in touch.

Sometime 5 months ago: I was there for breakfast, waited half an hour for my order even though no one was in the drive-thru and there were only 4 other people in the restaurant who had already ordered. It arrived cold. But it's not the first time this has happened. Special requests are almost always ignored. Restrooms are almost always dirty or out of toilet paper. Unfriendly employees. At the McDrive, you often have to wait up to 15 minutes to place an order, even though it's not busy. You always have to put the burger together yourself because everything is flying around in the burger box. A lot of the food doesn't taste good either. The meat is often undercooked. Simply impossible. 08/06/2025: Ordered an Iced Coffee Shake Caramel, got a vanilla milkshake with ice cubes and caramel, drove back and got a new one. Same old shit again. I could go crazy!

This was my second time there, and it was completely overcrowded. The service was excellent, though! They processed things quickly, and even when something went wrong, they were friendly, prompt, and courteous to all customers present, despite the stress.

Be careful, if an item isn't available, you'll be scammed out of your money. I ordered and paid for a latte macchiato with oat milk at the vending machine. While I was waiting for my order, I was told that oat milk was out of stock. The store manager was incredibly rude and refused to refund my money. He claimed that a refund was technically impossible. He made absolutely no effort to resolve the problem satisfactorily; my boyfriend and I were absolutely appalled by his treatment. He simply offered me a replacement voucher for a coffee—redeemable only at the store in question. Since I'm not from Alfeld and they didn't have oat milk, I declined the voucher, as it would have been absolutely worthless to me. I had to leave the store without the item I paid for and without my money.

You should avoid McDonald's. You stand at the drive-thru McDonald's for hours, and the employees are unfriendly.

The night shift now knows me as "the Atze," very nice and generous. I'm never there during the day, so I can't say anything. But overall, solid work!! EDIT: All those complaining about the staff weren't there more often, they're all liars!!!!

Had breakfast, as usual. Today a new employee, I think the boss, in a suit and curls, provided excellent service and gave us a free croissant on the house with Nutella and everything. Definitely deserves 5 stars, please keep it up.

Over 20 minutes in the McDrive this afternoon, and there are only three cars in total! The owner apparently no longer has any interest in this location!

Disgusting. The behavior of the current cast is beyond unprofessional (yelling at each other and throwing things at each other) and not even elementary school level. An MC rip without any sauce, and the hygiene is absolutely terrible. This is definitely the last time I'll be taking my children here. I can find a dirty kindergarten somewhere else. Extremely deteriorating and absolutely disgusting.

I would describe it like this: a very crowded restaurant, which the staff were completely overwhelmed with. Observations showed that every order was incomplete. The staff were very stressed, and the greeting and friendliness were very poor. Discussions at the counter took place in front of the customers (it was just about a glass of Coca-Cola), which the customer didn't get. Returning trays was impossible because the return cart was overflowing and the trash was already piling up on the floor. The food/fries/nuggets/were cold, and the burgers were a real disgrace, as if they had come out of a press, such flat things, not to mention the toppings. #Disrespectful of handing out something like that to customers.

Even though it's not the best choice for children, ours always have fun playing and we like going to McDonald's. The food isn't always hot, but it's adequate. The staff is friendly.

The store is an absolute disaster. I travel a lot for work and occasionally stop by the store on my way home. Nothing runs smoothly there anymore. Long wait times in the drive-thru, despite having placed an order. The staff are more concerned with themselves than moving the food around and serving customers quickly. Many products are sold out. Last time I went there today...it's best to close the store until more capable operational and administrative staff can be found. Things have been going downhill for the past year or two. Things used to be completely different...

April 26th - 10:27 am. I am told in an extremely rude and ironic manner by a younger lady in McDrive that I have to wait until 10:30 for cheeseburgers. 👏 despite the baby in the car. In service you can remain friendly “I’m sorry, that’s my policy”, ok. But “well, just wait 3 minutes.” Sorry?

Finally an MC that has warm burgers that aren't soggy and don't have too much ketchup on them. Fries were hot too. Friendly staff 😃

I will probably avoid this branch in the future. You stand in line at Mc Drive for 20 minutes. When asked about this, people smile and point out that the store is full. However, it is completely incomprehensible that two employees are milling around in the parking lot and can apparently take a break when everything is full. And then there isn't even a small excuse if you have to wait another 5 minutes after ordering.

It used to be a pleasant McDonald's, but today it's an absolute disaster. The branch including the sanitary area is constantly dirty, tables are full of tablets, leftover food from previous guests is available for free as decoration. The staff often only speaks broken German. One of four order terminals has been broken for months. There were sometimes miserably long waiting times at the drive-in, only to hear again that the coffee machine or some other device wasn't "just" working. Nobody seems to care about reordering the goods either - muffins, donuts, apple turnovers, etc. are constantly sold out. In addition, cold food is often consumed. Unfortunately a no-go!

Oftmals das falsche verpackt, wenn man nicht direkt nachsteht. Meistens schnelle Abhilfe, aber auch mal unfreundliche Worte. Ohne Bon mit etwas Glück keine Information, was 60 Sekunden vorher passiert ist. Via App und Übersicht aus der e-Mail vom Bestellvorgang, kann man sich nicht verlassen. Das war früher deutlich besser.

Normal McDonalds as we know it all over the world. Nothing extraordinary. On my last visit, however, I found a scene of devastation that one could never imagine. It doesn't matter whether some customers don't care about the issue or there's a lot going on and the service is overloaded, but it even smelled and shouldn't look like that

I don't recommend it. The waiting time is very long and the person at the checkout constantly touches the monitor, the money and even uses their phone in between without washing their hands. Then she goes and prepares the burgers, touching all the ingredients with dirty hands. Disgusting.

Went to the Mc Donald Drive In in Alfeld again... definitely for the last time... long waiting times... ok... there was also a bit going on on Fridays shortly before 8 p.m.... BUT....25 minutes to drive in?? The food was cold and the taste was bland and not well done... and then the total order was missing again... what I paid for!! Unfortunately I didn't check the order right away... No matter... luckily there are better competitors...

It's sad when you order Cola Zero and they can't even tell you out of 5 drinks what Zero is. In other stores you can get the right cup.

I placed an order at McDrive yesterday. After a while of waiting, we received our food and noticed an item missing. When speaking to the employee, it turned out that the item was not recorded when the order was placed. Unfortunately, when I asked for this item - a portion of fries - to be ordered later and of course also to pay for it, the response was very unfriendly and negative. It quickly became apparent that the employee was not interested in solving the problem. It was more important for her to keep her rights. I was offered to park in the front parking lot and order a portion of French fries from the restaurant. Unfortunately only 1 star for this type of service.

The best fries I've ever had, really fresh, really tasty :)) I'm still dreaming about them today

In five visits, a burger that was ordered was missing twice and the wrong one on another occasion. After an initial complaint, clarification was promised immediately, and that was it again... For me the visit was the last.

Short and sweet: Trying to redeem COUPONS doesn't work. Amazing statement from McD management: Buy at the regular price or nothing. Watch out!

When you order takeaway there is always something missing when you order from McDrive. Of 6 cheeseburgers, only 4 were available. I would rather recommend Burger King in Northeim. Staff is friendly, but can't keep up with cleaning the restaurant. The trays couldn't be taken away, so customers simply left their stuff lying around. A system like in other countries (the customer separates their own waste) would have been helpful here.

Only three of four order terminals worked. The paper on ours was also empty. There wasn't much going on but the staff were completely overwhelmed and one lady was also very grumpy. Just ordered a few burgers and a milkshake. Unfortunately, it wasn't until we continued our journey that we realized that the strawberry milkshake we ordered was a vanilla milkshake. You should definitely check everything.

Nice little branch of McDonald's that is relatively easy to find from the main street. Even though it is slightly hidden in the industrial area. The service was very friendly and I received my orders quickly. The cleanliness was also very good.

Table service is no longer noticed, employees react unfriendly and don't change anything. Has been the case for a long time. Employees often react insultingly. There is also little attention paid to the orders that you have actually ordered, and small orders are often not delivered until you talk to the employees about it.

I don't know the last time I ate fresh fries from them. They are almost ALWAYS flabby. There are no other fast food shops in Alfeld, which is the only reason why the shop is still running. My chicken burger patty was hard as a rock. Nuggets as well. Both fries were limp. Apple turnover was forgotten. It's completely normal and human when things go wrong... but not every single time. Employees are nice and ambience is ok. Food tastes old.

Unfortunately very much diminished. The table and floor were dirty, the serving trolley for the trays was extremely full so you didn't know where to put your tray. & the food was almost cold. Very unfortunate

I've rarely seen such a bad McDonald's. There are fries and all sorts of things on the floor in the kitchen, ice cream is spilled onto the floor, the restaurant is almost empty and there are no table numbers on the machines. Hygiene is a foreign word here in the store, the employees sit outside, come in, don't wash their hands and prepare the food in their private clothes. This is just disgusting!

Always the same picture for years. Loading looks like shit. Last night was a personal highlight. At around 8:30 p.m. the shop was empty except for two tables. And yet the shop was dirty. Tables as well as the floor. Tray tray completely full. Unfortunately, we already know that. We like to eat a burger and a McFlurry. But the ambience hasn't left a good impression on recent visits. Floors, tables and seats were never cleaned. The highlight of the last visit was the completely lined return area. The trays were already placed on surrounding tables and the floor. Too bad.

For years you have apparently only hired incompetent people. When you drive through the MC Drive, it is standard practice to first check whether everything is there. Now you not only have to check whether everything is in the bags (there is almost always something missing, even if it's just the sauces) no, now you apparently also have to unpack the burgers to check whether it's the right burger is in the paper.
