Absolutely awful. The entire order was delivered incorrectly. Drinks were missing, ice cream was missing, and the burger was wrong. I will never order from this dump again.

The shift supervisor, a woman named Penzek, with short hair and glasses, should attend several training courses on employee management. Loudly insulting a new employee in front of customers is completely unacceptable.

This morning, despite there only being two cars in front of me, I had to wait around 20 minutes to order a coffee. That's definitely too long for McDonald's.

35 minutes in the drive-thru is not almost

Often understaffed and overwhelmed. They don't have the motivation or the staff to provide table service and therefore hide the table displays. When I ordered via the app for table service, I was told not to order for table service anymore and to pick up my order myself. At the same time, the monitors displaying order numbers at the counter are broken, and you can wait or ask for help indefinitely.

You have to wait a long time. You don't get the toy or book you choose and just get something else. They very rarely have good service. They have a machine to mix the McFlurry, but they don't use it simply because they can't be bothered to clean it afterward. Items are very frequently missing, and you never get napkins (you have to get them yourself because they're lazy). But the food tastes good, and the McFlurry with Oreos is simply the dessert highlight.

Guys, please make sure the tables are clean.

I've never stood in front of a McDonald's drive-thru for so long (60 minutes), so someone should look for a job and work in a relaxed manner. It's probably possible. Never in a fast-food restaurant!

The food was good and warm, but it wasn't too busy and we had to wait a really long time for our food, which consisted of a Happy Meal and a cheeseburger 🙈

1 menu for 1 car almost 15 minutes is crazy

If I'd read the reviews beforehand, there would be fewer negative ones. 1) The staff is completely overwhelmed. 2) The tables are dirty. The food we ordered was supposed to be brought to our table, but (point 1) we waited 10 minutes for the food, and it was sitting at the counter the whole time, so it was already cold. Unfortunately, this was a one-time visit and never again.

As is the case everywhere, the fries are almost always soggy and half-warm, despite being asked to make fresh ones. It's not acceptable.

I just called them on October 7, 2025, at 12:58 PM. A woman answered with an unbelievable tone of voice. On top of that, she made homophobic statements in response to my inquiry. This woman should be kept away from customers!!!

I was just there, ordered a McDonald's Crispy for €6.09, drove home in 15 minutes, and what did I get? A completely normal burger with a completely ordinary bullet. Do you even have to open and check the boxes at McDonald's these days? What a rip-off.

We went to McDonald's in Gladbeck today and were very satisfied overall. The food came quickly and was even piping hot – you don't get that everywhere! The staff was also friendly and attentive, which made the visit pleasant. One small negative: some tables weren't completely clean. While this isn't uncommon in fast-food restaurants, it's still a shame. Otherwise, everything was fine – we would come back!

Well, we had a latte macchiato and an ice cream, and we've had better both. But it's a matter of taste anyway.

I was there again last night after a long time and was simply shocked by what I saw. There were leftovers from guests who had already left on every table, and even the remaining tables were dirty, sticky, and anything but clean. The counter where you usually throw your trash was full, and there was an overflowing bag of leftover food in front of it. Probably the worst thing, though, was the kitchen, which you can't miss if you're paying for your meal there. Empty boxes, leftover food like burger meat, fries, and everything else were stuck to the floor everywhere. I'm well aware that you can't always clean everything up immediately when things get stressful, but this wasn't after a few hours, and there were six people in the kitchen, not including the cashier and drive-in staff... Seeing that as a customer was disgusting, and it wasn't rocket science to just give it a quick sweep. Unfortunately, it's still one star too many, and it's not the first time we've found it like this. Something needs to change quickly, or we'll keep losing guests.

Hello, since when has the McDonald's in Gladbeck been so bad? The fries are full of oil. The hamburger has no sauce. The fries are also cold and have a lot of salt. The employees are arguing. What's up with this?

Dirty tables, greasy floors, food drenched in grease and barely filling (not worth the calories). Not to mention the bathroom. Chewing gum in the urinals in the men's restroom, a band-aid on the faucet, a dirty floor, and something had been stuck behind the toilet door handle, although I don't even want to know what it was. Everything just feels and looks dirty. The "restaurant" is relatively empty, but that's to be expected given the current state of the place. The customer service is friendly and helpful, but you always have to check to see if everything you ordered is there.

I've never been to such a filthy McDonald's! Upon entering, the floor was already filthy. The tables hadn't been cleaned, and the trash cans were peeling off, littering the floor. The restroom was also filthy; the floor was covered in urine. The food was also inedible. The fries were cold, limp, saltless, and very pale. It's also a paradise for wasps.

Went to this branch after visiting Movie Park. Either a lot of Movie Park visitors had the same idea, or it was just so packed. We waited 35 minutes for our food after ordering at the terminal. Unfortunately, some things were also wrong. Whether that was a bad first impression or something like that every day, I can't say.

The service today was very unfriendly, almost rude, the food was less than lukewarm and the fries have been better, I really can't recommend this shift today 😞

Found some plastic parts in the bag of fries. I complained at the counter. I just got a shrug. Fresh fries would have been the least I could have hoped for. They're supposed to resolve issues on-site, and then they respond like this. I'm very disappointed. I sent an email and am curious to see if they respond.

Very dirty restaurant. The tables are almost always dirty, and when you ask the server to clean them, they just say, "I'm busy right now." I once ordered using the touchscreen ordering machine. It was my first order there, for about €33. The machine didn't print a receipt. I thought the order hadn't gone through, so I ordered exactly the same thing again. Then I realized that the first order had arrived after all—but there was no paper in the machine, so no receipt came out. I told the manager directly. He told me to write down my name and IBAN so they could refund me the money for the first order. That was over a year ago—but I still haven't received any money back. Very poor organization and truly unhygienic. I won't be coming back.

It's improved a lot. The food is always freshly prepared now. That wasn't always the case! Very nice and friendly staff. Only the restrooms 🚽 could be cleaner. Otherwise, I always enjoy going there.

This McDonald's is awful. When it's busy, everyone seems overwhelmed. The parking lot is complete chaos, and when the drive-thru line gets too long, you can't even get out of the drive-thru and have to wait (very annoying when you need 15 minutes and want to eat the food that's still warm by then).

How can anyone eat something like that? It's expensive and tastes like cardboard. When you read the ingredients and see what you're getting, you know why. Well, everyone has to decide for themselves, but it's simply not worth the money.

We were at MC at 6:30 and the staff gave us the wrong order and when we asked what that was about the staff just said yes, you can't change the order now and then just walked away. I have never experienced such unfriendly staff anywhere else

Order (241) placed at 19:03 with table reservation 151 took over 50 min. The order was lost at the counter. Employees were too busy and did not want to cooperate. Because it took so long, I asked for free ice cream. Another employee went to make our order especially. Other people also had to wait 50 to 60 min for their order. Things don't move fast here. They didn't want to give free ice cream anyway. Very disappointing.

At first glance, it's perfectly fine! I really can't stand listening to the staff constantly ranting at each other. Especially if you're not sitting at the front, but in the back corner. The floor in the kids' playroom was so sticky and greasy that it really wasn't pleasant. And we were there at 7:30 a.m., so I can assume it was still clean. The restrooms, on the other hand, were top-notch!

First, I'd like to say that I'm a McDonald's fan. But the McDonald's in Gladbeck definitely deserves the lantern for the worst McDonald's I've ever visited. And that's not my first experience with this store. Always cold and stale fries and nuggets. At the McDonald's Drive-In, something's always missing from a larger order. The one-star rating is only because the drinks are as you'd expect. Sorry, the store is busy, so it's a good location. But I'd rather go to Gelsenkirchen or Bottrop for McDonald's in the future.

The food was good and everything was right, but your incompetent employees couldn't give us two McDonald's glasses. We only got the gold one and your incompetent employees, who are probably not even qualified for their job, just couldn't manage to give us the second blue glass.

I was just there with my girlfriend (she's a vegetarian), had a 20-nugget coupon, so we asked at the counter if we could split the 20 nuggets in half and half without meat, and then ordered our three sauces. We were told we couldn't split the nuggets. After a short wait at the counter, we actually got 10 plant-based nuggets and 10 'regular' ones, neatly separated by a piece of cardboard. Plus the 2 sauces my girlfriend wanted and the 2 sauces I wanted, so one more than requested. Made my date. Best wishes to the amazing employee, someone like that is truly worth his weight in gold!

I ate here twice almost 2 weeks apart. Once like this and once like that. If you're "lucky" and the fries just came out of the deep fryer (and not the warming basin) then they're ok. The same applies to the burger patties. Happiness = Straight from the pan into the bun. Bad luck = you get warm ones. On both visits, the toilet looked like this (okay, you're missing everywhere here): Addendum 11/08/2024: I was there today when checking in and pointed out the condition of the men's toilet on the left with the question "what kind of "guests" do you have here?". When you go out after about 20 minutes, the same picture. They seem to feel at home there. In the parking lot in front of the restaurant, cars that were run down (probably swindled or financed through dubious means) costing more than 200 horsepower. What's wrong with our McD become... Addendum: Was here again, I have to go in every now and then. I ordered a double Big Mac McMenu. That's two Big Macs (McD's flagship product) and a large portion of fries. The Big Mac's had already collapsed when I opened the box... When I picked them up, they became even thinner. Eaten up, made a stupid face (the neighbors at the table with whom I started talking also) didn't even feel nearly full. I added another Hamburger Royal (which is also a premium burger), still not a satisfying feeling of satiety. After almost 20 euros (for fast food). Service Kraft asked about it, and she stiffly and firmly claimed that they were M patties. I didn't even come close to being full, even though days before I was excited about the "M" (on which the patties stuck out over the bun). Further addendum: Today: I didn't want to get a table number for "eating here". After asking: we no longer have table service (for whatever reason, McD advertises this) my next question: and then for the same price? Lapidate answer: of course. I keep watching...

We were there at rush hour. Received the food quite quickly. Staff is willing to be friendly. Unfortunately, everyone is busy with the kitchen and unfortunately neglects hygiene in the dining area or in the toilets.

Underground...we pre-ordered online and paid cash at the checkout. We also specified that the order is for take-out. 1. Our order had been sitting on a tray for a while before our number was actually called. 2. We pointed out that the order was to be taken away and the lady behind the counter then started arguing with us because the system says "inside". The colleague then came over and packed our order. 3. The food was of course cold, even though the way home wasn't far. 4. The two Sprites ordered are carbonated water. Conclusion: €35 for the bin. I don't understand why the staff isn't able to process an order properly. Addition: The code on the receipt to rate the store is invalid. Fits the overall impression.

Very good shop, the employees are always very friendly and quick when preparing the order. The restaurant manager, who I know well, is always very friendly and happy to talk to me for a bit.
