McDonald's in Bad Zwischenahn

We wanted to grab something to eat at McDonald's in the evening after a visit to the Park der Gärten. We ordered food, waited an hour, and nothing came. There was a whole crowd at the counter complaining. We left after waiting an hour and a half. I emailed McDonald's customer service... and haven't heard anything yet. It's not just the owner of the McDonald's in Zwischenahn who seems to be a complete loser. It seems to be a pattern throughout the entire company. Sad for such a company.

A DRIVE-IN should be quick, but recently you have to have a lot of patience here and the orders are often wrong.

We were there some time ago and wanted to grab a quick bite to eat before heading to a nearby event. We ordered our food as usual, but after about 40 minutes it still hadn't arrived. However, we noticed that other guests who had arrived much later had already received their food and some had already left. We asked if they had perhaps forgotten us, and the gentleman said no, but they hadn't forgotten us; sometimes there are problems with the system and our food would arrive right away. After another 20 minutes, we asked again at the counter, but unfortunately our order was no longer in the system (I would have preferred to leave right then, but we all make mistakes, it can happen, and my son was of course looking forward to his food). So we explained again what we would like and after 10 minutes the food arrived. As compensation, we were offered a free ice cream, which we were supposed to pick up at the counter after our meal. The waitress looked at us very surprised and we had to wait again because nobody knew what was going on. That was really awful for me. I'm sorry, but that's just not okay.

This McDonald's has the best drive-thru and the manager provides very good service.

We pre-ordered a large order for a celebration. Everything was taken care of perfectly, and everything was delivered on time and warm (by a taxi arranged by McDonald's). It went smoothly, thank you very much!

We went to McDonald's today. I ordered a Big Tasty Bacon without tomato slices. What came? Exactly, a Big Tasty Bacon with tomato slices. When I pointed this out to the server, she simply said she needed a receipt. I told her that the special order "without tomatoes" wasn't listed there. She then told me that without it, you couldn't complain about the burger. That was the end of the conversation for her. I can't recommend this restaurant. I sat down at the restaurant myself. However, I noticed that there was a lot of ice in my drink (the straw was in the drink). I complained, to which the staff responded very rudely (the ordered amount (0.5 l) was clearly not in the cup). I then ordered the same drink again without ice and basically measured it out... (More German than that) And lo and behold, you don't get what you order.

Today I went to the beach in Bad Zwischenahn with the kids and then to McDonald's. We ordered ten McDonald's, and he charged us 41 euros. I told him it was a mistake and each one costs about 2 euros. I told him that was correct. I repeated the order and asked him for an explanation, but he charged us about 20 euros. Unfortunately, he gave us ten coffees. For your information, when I ordered, I asked for five caramel and five chocolate. I had four children under the age of 10 with me, so you can see the children with your own eyes. That's new in the definition, a big mistake, or someone with the mind of a donkey. It's not like me to cause trouble. Of course, it would be trouble if it had been someone else.

So, I was there today: dirty tables, dirty floor, dirty toilets. I politely pointed it out to the staff. As I was leaving the store, an employee came up behind me and condescendingly demanded that I show him the dirt. At first, I told him he shouldn't talk to me like that and that I should ask politely. He wasn't interested, so I gave him a tour of his store, of course in a way that he and the colleagues at the counter could hear, and maybe even a few customers. After that, I went home and watched an episode of "My Life with 300 Kilos" and decided never to buy anything from McDonald's again. The store is dirty, the staff unfriendly and don't notice the dirt, which led me to two questions: How dirty is it in the back of their kitchen, and how dirty is the food there? Besides, it's way too expensive for what you get, and unhealthy to boot. Next time, I'll go to the kebab shop around the corner. The food is good, the tables are clean, and it costs only half as much.

I stood at the car counter for 15 minutes and nothing happened. Frustrated, I put the car in reverse with other drivers and drove into the restaurant. It was quite chaotic... The staff were overwhelmed. Too bad, it could definitely be done much better!!

Yesterday was the Festival of Lights in Bad Zwischenahn. Afterward, some people were craving McDonald's, but unfortunately, things weren't running as usual there. We waited over an hour before finally canceling our meal because the employees and the store manager were apparently overwhelmed and couldn't finish the orders. The receipts were on the table at the front, but they just weren't processing the order efficiently. In cases like this, I would plan for more staff and not just have three people there. Also, next time it's this busy, I would temporarily close the drive-thru and impose a freeze on orders to process existing orders. Conclusion: Not recommended!

Today I tried to order some of the new drinks at the drive-thru counter. Unfortunately, the employee was unfriendly and clearly had no idea about the current promotions. I rarely go to McDonald's anyway, but the Bad Zwischenahn branch is always a disappointment. This not only seems unprofessional, but it's also damaging to the brand. There seem to be serious management problems here.

Ordered in-store today. Firstly, the specially ordered reusable cup was missing (a waste of money!), and secondly, the burgers were swapped, leaving us with burgers we couldn't even eat due to allergies. The remaining food wasn't even close to warm, and the friendliness today left a lot to be desired. Had it been busy, they might have been sympathetic, but the store was fairly empty. This has just been the case a few times before... we won't be visiting this branch again.

The window sill at eye level, along the seating, was littered with dead flies and dust, which was a real appetite killer. At the outside counter, everyone is addressed informally, which I personally don't like. The food itself is perfectly fine by fast-food standards, thankfully.

Unfortunately we had a very bad experience. We ordered the mec smart menu and only got fries and coke. We then went and asked, they said that they hadn't done anything wrong and that we wouldn't get the cheeseburger. I can't recommend it.

Really bad, none of the food we ordered was right. Ordered two Happy Meals, got one without nuggets, and both sauces were wrong. Unfortunately, we didn't notice until we were driving. The cup of Coke was just thrown on top—cheers to our washing machine.

Absolute disaster. Unfriendly staff, If you want to grab something quickly from the Mc Drive, you only have to wait 27 minutes and you will get your food... (Business was not at full capacity, over half of the seats in the restaurant were unoccupied) As a side dish you get stupid sayings from the cheeky staff. Half of our order was cold and inedible.. It was a lesson for the future.

The food is bad. You always have a headache after eating there and the quality in general leaves a lot to be desired. The soft drinks are almost just water and taste of nothing. You keep too much of every cent you pay. It is an impertinence to eat in this branch. The employees are rude and complain about every little thing. It's easy to wait 5 minutes in an empty restaurant for a cold burger and soft, salty fries. Eating here is not recommended!!

Many times we buy a Happy Meal toy, it doesn't work, we are disappointed because we bought it just for that reason. Waste of money + spoiled atmosphere!!!

Very fast service compared to other branches. Clean and tasty. A good ordering system where you can choose whether the food is delivered or you pick it up yourself. A great surprise: a free hamburger for points collected in the mobile app. It was a holiday, but everything was clean, the service was quick, and there were plenty of seats.

Order via Lieferando, i.e. delivery is offered, i.e. the store is open. I wait an hour, check Lieferando again and then suddenly it says delivery is not possible and the McDonald's is supposedly closed. Honestly, that's the biggest damn thing...

I ordered a Grand BBQ Cheese and got it without cheese. When I went back to complain about it and maybe get a new one, I was told that the burger had to be the same. Update: Just picked up a McFlurry that wasn't even half full. When I asked the cashier about it he just said that it was normal.

Bad experience again... The drink was poured over a friend, the drink was the wrong size, there were 6 chicken nuggets too few, I waited 15 minutes for the food and was called stupid by an employee. Maybe some employees should look for another job.

Incompetent team! You order food, and after looking at the order we noticed that the happy meal was missing the toys and a 0.5l apple spritzer for which you had paid a €0.25 deposit. When you pointed it out to the service staff, you had to explain it 5 times and got a 0.2l apple spritzer from the happy meal. There were only 5 of the 6 nuggets. After you then ordered 2 Mc Flurry and asked if you could get a spoonful more, you didn't believe you had ordered it and only got a carrier where you put drinks in!!

The food was good, the waiting time was ok, even if the system that shows the status of the orders didn't work properly. The furnishings are modern, although sometimes a bit uncomfortable. The cleanliness could still be worked on, but it wasn't like you wouldn't dare to eat there.

Even at 2:00 p.m., when the traffic is low, the shop is just disgusting. No tables have been wiped, there are large amounts of leftover food lying around, and the dish trolley is full of space. Ate here a few days ago, highly recommended. Place your order at the digital board, select a spot and then wait for the food to be delivered. At a normal McDonald's this takes a maximum of 10 minutes, but after waiting 30 minutes there is still no food, which takes a very long time. So after waiting 30 minutes I went to the counter to ask where the food was. I was told that after 15 minutes the order will automatically be removed from the system... but they started making it immediately. Shortly afterwards we received part of the order, with the message that the rest would come later. That's fine as long as it doesn't take too long. After waiting another 15 minutes and having already eaten everything, the last part had not yet been delivered... so we walked to the counter again. This time they forgot because the drive was very busy. (We sat next to the drive and saw 2 cars in the time we waited...) But we immediately received the last part of the order. The food tasted good and was hot, but the toilets could use a makeover and cleaning. Trash can broken, so you hang a plastic bag there... that's fine, but then you have to empty it often, that wasn't happening... it smelled terribly... This McDonald's is located in the middle of a residential area, so it is a real youth hangout, that was noticeable. Great food but I won't go there again.

Not very clean there. We ordered at the terminal around 3 p.m. When the order wasn't there at 3:25 p.m., we asked what was wrong. At the counter we were told that the order hadn't even been made yet, but others after us got their food. Complaint written. We then received two ice creams as a voucher. Even though we are three people. In my opinion it would be appropriate to provide a meal. But it doesn't matter. We'd rather eat somewhere else.

The tables are always dirty. Had Big Mag yesterday and it was definitely not fresh. Bun was soggy, salad was brown and wrinkled. The happy meal carrying box had pieces of old lettuce leaves in it, even though there was no lettuce with the meal. The staff also looks very listless.

We then decided to place the order without codes as it made no sense. Today it was generally very, very slow and there was a lot of traffic jams. At the last window where we paid, my husband showed the voucher code again and she claimed we said online code. The word “online” wasn’t even mentioned. She acted like we were lying in front of her colleague! Apart from the fact that she didn't seem to listen properly and was also very rude and unfriendly, we thought it was cheeky to portray ourselves as liars and deny her wrongdoing! Then after 14 minutes of waiting in the waiting bay, we got our order. Since a lot of time had already been lost, we wanted to eat it while driving and just looked roughly in the bag to see if everything was there. My son always counts his nuggets and instead of 9 there were only 7 and the 5 pizza pockets I ordered were only a 3 bag. But the calculation was for 9 nuggets and 5 pizza pockets. I don't understand why this store can never manage to fill an order correctly?! Then there is the fact that the branch is very dirty. Something urgently needs to be done! There's a lot going wrong, which is more than obvious! From the unfriendly and partly incompetent employees to the hygiene in the store. That doesn't work at all! For us it was the last time we were there.

Unfortunately there was an unpleasant incident at the Zwischenahner McDonalds today. At 6:30 p.m., after waiting forever, the wrong bag was brought to my car. After I politely pointed out their faux pas to the restaurant staff, the bag I had already opened was passed on to other customers. This is absolutely unacceptable from a hygienic point of view. My order was then made incorrectly several times and the employees unfortunately failed to verbally apologize. I was only advised to apply to McDonalds to “do better”. Overall, highly unprofessional behavior.
