McDonald's in Bad Segeberg

It couldn't get much worse. No app ordering, no terminal, and not even the drive-thru works. This has happened twice now. It's unbelievable; it really feels like 2005.

There are only four ordering kiosks. Definitely not enough at lunchtime. Why aren't more installed? The kiosk software is also extremely slow. The visit gets off to a bad start before you even sit down at a table.

It's great, we always stop there when we drive home from Hamburg airport.

We were a group of six, and out of the six food orders, two were complete. We had to go to the front four times to get more food; the place wasn't even full.

The staff is friendly, the food is hot and tasty, but the fries are usually cold. PS: I love the Filet-O-Fish. Best, Jaro (10 years old)

Got the wrong food... dirty ambience

Shop is ok ... food ok... but unfortunately the food is ... no matter where you are THE FOOD IS UNFORTUNATELY ONLY LUKEWARM and that is sad because it is unfortunately like that and also too expensive

Fries are always 50/50, either the best you can get or ones that have been sitting for five hours and never seen salt. Fries are only good if they have a dent.

Unfortunately, after I tried to order via the app in the store for the first time, something went wrong. The app explained the function somewhat unclearly. My meal went into production immediately. After calling the store, they blamed each other a bit. Ultimately, however, my meal was replaced as a gesture of goodwill. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for the service.

Unfortunately, cash payments upon collection will no longer be possible from October 13th, 2025, so you will simply have to do without these customers. I hope I'm not alone in thinking this, because this is not what customer service should look like.

I found the interaction between the staff not quite so team-oriented

Everything's fine, except there aren't enough (4) ordering terminals. This creates long lines. If, as in our case, two of them aren't working, the whole process takes even longer. Dear Mecces team, please work on this...

It's a McDonald's. I actually wonder why so many people go there. It was an exception for us and will remain so.

I ordered Sprite and got sparkling water

The fries weren't seasoned, and unfortunately—once again—we ended up with one less burger than we paid for. And it's always the most expensive one. Thanks for nothing.

It's an absolute disgrace what you get slapped there. It's supposed to be a teriyaki burger. You should just give McDonald's a wide berth, no matter where you go. I don't understand why it's always so crowded. There's no proper queue or display of the processing status. Then the finished orders are just placed there without any announcement. You can just take anything, without any check. The restrooms are always filthy. Broken facilities. Not even worth a star.

Unfortunately, I'm no longer getting service. If I have to do everything myself, the price should reflect that. Price up, service down. You can do it that way, but it's just bad!

I've been waiting in line at the McDrive for 20 minutes, and I can't get past the only three cars in front of me. Something's wrong at the store.

When we visited the branch last week, it wasn't busy, and the employees processed our takeout order quickly. Then, at home, we had a nasty surprise: all the sauces from the menu, as well as those we'd bought to go with it, were missing. Unfortunately, this seems to be a common occurrence in Bad Segeberg, based on the reviews here... Our mistake was not checking right away, but you'd think the employees know their stuff, especially since there were enough of them on site and no pressure at the time... What a shame!

My order at the counter was refused; I was told to use the terminal, where others took forever to order their food.

It was very chaotic, with often incorrect food distribution, tray return carts, overflowing toilets, and trash cans. Overall, it wasn't good. The parking lot, which also served as the access to the drive-thru, was poorly planned.

It's very dirty, and the parking lot is on a slope and narrow. The terminals are incredibly slow with their response times.

My child's comment (7): Mom, they really enjoyed their work. They looked so happy 😀...I don't think there's any better praise.

We have rarely seen such a dirty McDonald's! There were leftover food like fries lying around everywhere, including in front of and behind the counter, on the tables, etc. The entire floor in front of the pickup counter was greasy. The entrance door also looked terrible with all the grease stains. Garbage is not disposed of, not even outside at the entrance. The restrooms are a complete disaster!!! The women's restrooms were full of urine and littered with paper on the floor. There were no paper towels, and the trash can was overflowing here too, just like the men's. The food was not served very quickly, which resulted in a long line. The branch itself is nicely decorated, but all the filth is a complete turn-off. Is there no management?

Unfortunately, this branch has really declined. Some of the fries are cold and soggy, just like the lattice potatoes. The burgers are thrown together haphazardly. Sauces are missing from the order. You can only go there when the place is empty; only then will you get hot, freshly prepared food!!! Otherwise, the staff there is completely overwhelmed.

Even though many complain about a lack of staff, the trash in and on the carts was already piling up immeasurably. The trash cans outside were also overflowing. This urgently needs to be addressed, as it doesn't exactly make the best impression.

A convenient stopover on the way to the Baltic Sea, but with a few drawbacks. **Location & Directions:** - Approx. 10-minute detour from the highway (there and back) - Worth a break on longer journeys **Facilities:** - Rather small branch - Nice outdoor seating area - Sloping parking lot - Indoor play area for children with marble run and basketball hoop **Negative points:** - Poor cleanliness: tables not cleared inside - Restrooms untidy with paper on the floor - Overflowing trash can - Broken monitor in the children's area - a shame for the little guests **Positive:** - Food was good and no complaints - Nice outdoor area - Play areas for children (as far as functional) **Conclusion:** Okay for a stopover, but management should pay more attention to cleanliness and maintenance. With better maintenance, it would be a solid McDonald's. The food is good, but the conditions could be better.

Unfortunately, there's not enough sauce on any burger. The food is usually cold. The meat is dry and doesn't taste fresh. I usually get stomach cramps after eating a burger... It's gotten expensive. We won't be eating here again.

McDrive: Super fast service, minimal wait times, and hot, fresh food. Top

Such a dirty McDonald's. Starting with the parking lot, which was an absolute disaster, and continuing with the restaurant, where there were leftover food and trash everywhere, and the return carts were so full that trash was left on the tables everywhere. The restrooms were covered in feces and urine, and there wasn't even any soap, let alone towelettes. The waitresses walked through the store in a huff and forgot about half the orders.

One of the nicest branches I know. I had ice cream there a few weeks ago, and despite the large number of customers, the employees manage to stay in a good mood and radiate it. I noticed this on my last visit. This was my second time there, to treat myself to a cappuccino at breakfast time for the long drive. This time, too, the employees were completely friendly, funny, and motivated. Thank you so much for some of these employees, who show that friendly and authentic service can still be found at a fast-food chain.

Unfortunately, the service is not 0 stars. The food was cold and the waiting time was extremely long. When asked, they just rudely told us that the burgers would take a while.

Today, July 20th, around 8:00 PM, I was at McDonald's Drive-In. Ordered for almost €50, and they forgot three things: a cheeseburger, 2 fries, and a pineapple dumpling. Completely incompetent people there. Worst McDonald's in Schleswig-Holstein.

So there's no point talking about it. A long black hair in a burger. Absolutely disgusting... maybe you should consider wearing a hairnet... My husband is bald and I'm blonde, so it can't have come from us.

It’s cold in there but besides that a normal Mc Donald’s

It has never been as bad as it is today. Tables dirty (not just greasy, but really dirty with pieces of food on them), wastepaper basket in men's restroom overflowing, ALL tablet return carts completely full, M-Burger completely soggy. Nobody seemed to care about the intolerable situation. The Karl May rush was already over. I could only leave my tray where it was. And the ordering terminals are unbearably slow, it's been like this for a long time. In many other branches the terminals respond quickly, so there are faster versions. At least the staff are always very friendly, not just today, actually always.

I can't comment on the ambiance because we ordered at the drive-thru, and that's where the food was returned. First, they forgot things, so we had to go back, and then we got the surprise with the food. The fries were rubbery, and we had to have the burger again... We decided not to order another meal because we were already feeling sick.

The atmosphere is fun as usual at McDonald's and there are designated areas for children to play.

There was a problem paying with PayPal, and I had to pay at the checkout, and the money was debited from PayPal. The toy was missing from the Happy Meal.

Yes, good food, friendly service – quickly and freshly made (for McDonald's standards :)). The terminal didn't accept my card – the cashier was immediately manned. Two apple turnovers were missing – they were immediately replaced after a brief notification. TOP

If it is acceptable for someone to get about 50ml less Coke than ordered and the filling in the wrap leaves 3cm of space at the top up to the top edge of the wrap.

The M Burger was just sauce. Even though there were two napkins, I had to wash my hands because they were full of it. It's just a discarded dairy cow that you eat.

Unfortunately, the fries aren't good in 9/10 cases, and sometimes they're inedible. They're very soft and wobbly, not crispy, and you feel like you're chewing on a soft-boiled potato. The burgers are usually good, but the fries are always disappointing.

Unfortunately, a bad place for me. We've eaten there or taken away several times now. They don't pay attention to the ingredients. Some burgers are cold. And most recently, I ordered a Happy Mesl with fries and a burger. What exactly was in it? Just both. The apple pieces we ordered, as well as the drink and toy, were missing. Unfortunately, we didn't notice until we got home. The staff is nice, but sorry, that's not possible.

Waited 20 minutes in front of the Mc Drive counter with no possibility of escape - that's not possible. The staff was otherwise very friendly. People don't buy these cheese nuggets: They are covered in thick rosemary-flavored breading, are chewy and otherwise taste like nothing!

The offer is well known. We are always satisfied with the preparation and the waiting time and the dining area always looks clean both inside and outside. The staff is always friendly. But what has been bothering me for some time now is that apparently people are saving money on the syrup used to make Coca-Cola. It basically tastes like colored sparkling water with a tiny hint of cola flavor. Not possible at all!!!!

The ambience would get full marks if it were cleaner. Since, as described below, the service and food were not satisfactory, I unfortunately cannot recommend this branch. Too bad!

Typical McDonald's food of good quality. Very friendly service. There is often a long queue at McDrive. Today's visit was great and leads to an upgrade from 4 to 5 stars. Super friendly. The request to leave out an ingredient was not a problem at all. Very friendly serving of food at the table. A crying child was given a small comfort goody in the presence of its mother. Class.

I didn't even know this McDonald's from my trips to Segeberg. I was very surprised to find a Meckes on the journey home after I had to take the Segeberg Süd exit. The parking lot and the access are a little adventurous - a sloping parking area with garages :-) This restaurant is not yet the newest but has ordering terminals and table service. The food was very fresh and really quick, the best experience I've had at an MCD so far. Nice service was really successful and that for a fast food with highway clientele. Super highly recommended.

Wednesday, April 16, 2025, 11:02 p.m. You come back from a day trip to Berlin and want to satisfy your hunger for a moment with your family. But at McDrive you are asked to wait a short moment. After 5 minutes you ask if you can finally get going and get the mushy answer: "If you're in a hurry, you can drive through and continue." That's not enough. The employee then hides at the hatch and doesn't think it's necessary to attend to me. I haven't seen such audacity in a long time. I'm used to better service from McDonnalts.

Ordered a chicken burger and got a cheese burger even though it wasn't busy

A very nice McDonald's, nice little play area for the children with a basketball hoop, "ball track" and a mini labyrinth, food is the same as everywhere.

Food like at any McDonald's but the whole tables were dirty until Meppen, the whole benches were full of crumbs and ketchup and they were totally underground.

Complaint about Happy Meal Toys – Minecraft Dear McDonald’s team, on April 7th, 2025 I visited your branch to buy a Happy Meal with the latest Minecraft toys. I was really looking forward to a real figure from the Minecraft series - like the one you can see on your advertising display case. Unfortunately, I only received a simple die, which by no means meets my expectations of a complete character. It was also not possible to select a specific toy at the checkout. When I politely asked if I could get another figure, the employees on site couldn't help me and didn't seem to know what I was talking about - even though the toys were visibly displayed in the store. I was very disappointed as I wanted to enjoy the visit to McDonald's but instead left unsatisfied and feeling like I had wasted my money. I would therefore like to ask you to comment on this incident and hope that you can accommodate me in some way - be it an alternative toy or some other form of redress. Best regards Hannah

Employees become overwhelmed very quickly. Orders are either issued or forgotten altogether.

The lady at the counter was extremely rude. You couldn't handle criticism tonight. Despite the many employees, it was different than what I'm used to from other branches of this chain.

Das Bestellen am Terminal ist zu kompliziert und die Lieferung an den Tisch klappt nicht. Ergänzung : Die Terminals funktieren nun leidlich, dafür ist der Tischservive nun ok. Diesmal funktionierte es ein Wenig, wobei die Terminals langsam und das w-lan so gut wie gar nicht funktioniert.

A comparatively nicer and cleaner McDonald's. There were even flowers on the table and despite the sometimes high flood of orders, things didn't get hectic but work was done well and quickly. The team was in a good mood and friendly 😊
