McDonald's in Gera

You can tell if food is good by looking at the people who eat it.

The food was delicious and prepared quickly. However, I couldn't find the baby changing room. The toilets are upstairs, but there are no changing facilities there. This is quite problematic with a newborn, especially since it's close to the highway, which is what you (like us) associate with it.

I strongly advise everyone to check EVERYTHING they buy at the drive-thru. It was around 11:15, hardly anyone was there, yet entire burgers were forgotten in the order. Simply pathetic.

The restaurant was full, but it was clean and the food arrived quickly.

It's a bit difficult to get there on foot. We wanted different burgers but received the standard burgers with one patty. Since I don't speak German well, they didn't understand us. The staff was polite, though. That's why I'm giving it 5 stars.

Too bad there aren't enough vegetarian products. Prices are constantly rising too.

This is the third time in a row you've forgotten to include over €10 worth of food. We buy food for six people from you, and it's never complete! We'll be eating somewhere else from now on!

I was on the second floor today, and my boyfriend and I were sitting there waiting for our order. I'd like to suggest you introduce some restrictions for children and their parents. While we were waiting, a few children were running around the floor and tripping over our chairs 🪑, which were next to tables 43 and 42. I want to tell you that it's not normal for the seating to be arranged like that. Of course, parents should also be responsible for their children's behavior, but it's simply madness when an adult couple is trying to eat.

We don't eat at this restaurant very often. I ordered a chicken burger and it came with chili sauce, which I probably missed. It would be nice if you could choose your sauce. I only tasted the spice. The rest of the order was fine.

This guy recently tried to overfeed me in the toilet with his box of 50 nuggets.

I waited 30 minutes for a small order while the employees stood around idly.

Food was wrong again; we ordered Shaker Nuggets and fries, but only received the regular product even though we paid the extra charge.

Unfortunately, our child seriously injured himself in the outdoor playhouse. Only days later, after the emergency medical team and everything, was a notice suddenly posted on the play equipment stating that the playhouse was only suitable for children of a certain age. Unfortunately, this information came too late. We personally find this very weak. And no, there was no breach of duty of care. The food is fine regardless, and the negative review relates solely to the accident itself.

Always a disaster. Either you wait forever because there aren't enough staff, or half the food gets forgotten. The burgers and portions are getting smaller and smaller, too.

A pleasant surprise at this McDonald's! The food was good, and the wait was short. A pleasant surprise was the coffee served in a real cup, not a paper one—a great idea. The place was clean and pleasant, and there are tablets for kids to keep them entertained. The McFlurry with mango bubble tea was a hit!

Dirty store, they forgot my Big Mac. Always check the bag first to make sure everything's in there.

I just ordered two wraps. One was completely shredded in the cardboard, and the other had barely anything in it. Who wrapped and packaged the wraps?! 🤦🏻‍♂️ And at a high price, too. McDonald's isn't what it used to be!! New employees every time, each one "worse"/less qualified than the last. Better to go to Bürger König 👑

Why do you seem to be the only McDonald's that can't figure out how to deduct the deposit from the order?! "It's the rule, we're not allowed to do that." But every other McDonald's in Germany is allowed to do that?! It's so pointless to keep passing the money around. And I'd like to point out that you offer several varieties of milkshakes, not just vanilla, so please give the correct order...

Not recommended after a visit there. The employees aren't exactly friendly and seem rather unmotivated. I also absolutely don't understand why the Happy Meal costs a whopping 20% more than the one at the nearest branch about 20 kilometers away.

Even 1 star is too much! I've ordered from there several times now and have given it a chance every now and then... but July 28, 2025 will be the very last time! Not only is something ALWAYS forgotten with online orders, but the absolute rudeness of the employees is the absolute icing on the cake. So, as always, the order was incomplete when I got home from the McDrive, but it was also simply disgusting. The burgers were carelessly assembled, and what I found was a squashed pile. Now I've been lying here for hours with absolute stomach pain and cramps since eating... it's simply outrageous what you get delivered there for the now outrageous prices. Conclusion: I will NEVER order anything from there again, and I will spread the word. I'd rather not have a McDonald's in town than such a bad "restaurant." I hope no one orders from there anymore; do yourself and your body a favor.

This isn't the first time I've gotten a "build it yourself" burger

Neither Schoko shake nor Mcfreeze schoko has been available for a long time. It used to be blamed on something wrong, but it's no longer on the menu. Instead, there is a completely tasteless strawberry shake with only traces of it. And they do add it to iced coffee (which has lots of ice in it (so it's the cheapest)). So why is it not available? The burgers are slapped together. Flies fly around the place.... Not the first time there's just been a problem. In fact, it's one way to wean yourself off the company's products...

Everything was fine. Plenty of seating in the shade when it gets warmer. You can eat an ice cream here without any worries.

I really liked them. There are plenty of free spaces. They clean them often.

I think it's a real shame that the outdoor playground has been closed to children for quite some time now. My children are always sad. I think this has been going on for a few months now.

You can't tell me the food is bad! The last time I ate here, I vomited and placed a 1 star review, but that was just my unlucky but lucky day. I had a: Filet-O-Fish (with a little bit Sweet&Sour sauce) 6 Piece McNuggets(with Sweet&Sour sauce Large Fries(with Sweet&Sour sauce) It was heavenly, I changed my mind about the old review, First 2025 McDonald's never felt this good.

Drive-thru was nothing but problems. The lady was very unfriendly. Two burgers were missing from my order. It was a disgrace. And no one could understand it, even though I had paid for it. Never again, and the food was cold and inedible.!!!!

Didn't receive the goods but paid. I ordered via the app and because there was no milkshake or the machine was broken again, there was no goods but I had already paid via PayPal. Unfortunately, I haven't received any money back to date. The worst thing was that I should have paid twice to get my order. Unfortunately, mistakes are always to be expected here. Something is often missing or extras such as no salad are often ignored.

McDonalds Gera simply has the best employees. Everyone is friendly, whether inside or at McDrive. That alone is an experience.

Communication problems, the staff speaks and understands German very poorly! This results in incorrect food being served. It's particularly annoying at the drive-in counter. Food, ambience is just like everywhere else.

McDonald's is clean but unhealthy

First time here, will also be the last time. First you don't get any dip, then you ask for one and get an open bag of ketchup. I'm curious to see how my intestines will feel tomorrow after the bland, loveless unsalted fries. Coffee was good!

As soon as you entered the restaurant you could see the dirty floor. The floor upstairs probably hasn't been cleaned in days. Tables are dirty. In general, this McDonalds is no longer on my list. There are better ones.

Service is good, toilets are clean and seem to be checked regularly > great. The ambience is OK, some of the seats and tables are a bit worn out, I don't understand why these hollow chipboards are always used and/or no solid wood panels. The food is like any other McDonald's (always smaller, always more chemical, always more expensive for what comes on the tablet).

Disgusting juice joint!! I was asked for change by employees and insulted and the store manager yelled at me when I was ordering food even though I just wanted to eat something. Treating customers respectfully might also be an option.

Best McDonald's in Germany, I never order from any other branch than here. The only McDonald's that serves freshly prepared meals with very friendly staff even late in the evening. I've been a customer for years ❤️

This is not about the food or ambience, but solely about the team and every single employee at Mc Donalds Gera. My wife left her wallet with everything there on the bench at McDonald's. Of course, she didn't realize it until an hour later. At first I wasn't able to get in touch with McDonald's by phone. Eventually I managed to do it and lo and behold, the person on the other end of the line knew about the wallet. So I got back in the car and drove 40 km back to Gera. The end of the story... Everything was there, nobody knew who found the wallet and they didn't want a small "tip" for the team. Conclusion: For us the best people in the world at Mc Donalds Gera. The team and the customers anyway.

Nice McDonalds, nice service, easy parking and the toilets were very clean. 🧽 Food also tasted good.
