McDonald's in Bad Dürkheim

Today, I (or rather, the two of us) had a less than successful visit to your branch. We both ordered online – each using our own mobile phones. At first, the order didn't work; they said the problem was with our devices. Eventually, however, the orders were located using the order code – apparently, the problem wasn't with the phones after all. One order was prepared for takeout, the other for dine-in – even though we were standing at the counter together and both orders were intended for takeout. My order was left open on the counter, with the fries on top. No one knew who this order belonged to or that it was already ready. Shortly afterward, another customer leaned over the tray and the fries to speak to an employee – completely inappropriate from a hygiene perspective. I spoke to the employee about it. His only response was, "Thanks for the feedback." When I asked for the shift manager, a heavyset man with tattoos on his face introduced himself as the shift manager. Overall, he gave the impression that he wasn't really aware of the situation in the sales area. I explained the incident to him, to which he simply replied, "Should I tell the lady, or what should I do?" When I pointed out that perhaps new fries should be prepared for hygiene reasons, he apparently didn't understand me—or didn't want to. An unpleasant discussion ensued in a tone that had nothing to do with customer service. In the end, I did receive new fries, but with a "Here you go," which sounded more like "Here you go, you stupid dog." Furthermore, the new portion was significantly smaller than usual—I take that with humor, but the overall impression remains negative. Conclusion: Both the service and customer service were unfortunately a disaster today. Such an experience is simply disappointing.

Overall, the visit was a bit disappointing. I understand that it was busy, and our initial order arrived quickly. However, we ordered another drink at our table, which, despite a 25-minute wait, never arrived. We eventually left. We would have asked for another drink at the front, but it was simply too busy. It's a shame, because the food and drinks were otherwise fine.

A decent McDonald's branch, friendly and efficient service, and ordering at the cash register is also possible, not just for those unfamiliar with the touchscreen. My boyfriend was so impressed that he charged me €2 for the service.

I specifically ordered table service via the app and still had to pick up my food at the pickup point. Absolutely outrageous and useless service; it's a complete rip-off and a disgrace to the customer.

Catastrophe. I've never been so short of an order as I was today. Unfortunately, we only noticed it after we were already home. A whole bag of fries was missing. Instead of a large iced tea, we received a 0.25 liter iced tea that wasn't even completely full. The Happy Metal would have chosen a toy that wasn't in it.

We ordered at the terminal and were served at our table. Friends of ours ordered directly at the counter. (Our friends' wait time was 5 minutes.) There was a lot of customers after us. When our food still wasn't there after 15 minutes, but others who had ordered significantly after us had already received theirs, I went ahead to inquire. The only response I got was, "It just takes a while." After another 15 minutes (a total of 30 minutes), my husband went ahead and was also treated unfriendly. He canceled our order and took six nuggets for our daughter, who was clearly disappointed, and we left. There wasn't even an apology; the response to my husband was, "Others have to wait longer for their food."

We had to wait over 30 minutes for our order. It was extremely hot upstairs, and we couldn't get any drinks in!

I went to McDonald's with my family. The food was very good and we liked the quality. Unfortunately, the restaurant was not very clean – the tables, windows, and even the cobweb-covered ceiling were not cleaned properly. There was also a problem with the Happy Meals: We were told twice that Squishmallows were out of stock and were given a choice of small Smurf figures instead. Shortly afterward, however, a friend of an employee came into the restaurant, and her children suddenly received Squishmallows "from the warehouse." This was very disappointing and unfair for us, as we had specifically asked for them. It's a shame, because the food was really good – but the service and honesty unfortunately left a lot to be desired.

Typical McDonald's, but without table service. Unlike other McDonald's, the food was slapped on very carelessly. Crooked burgers, with almost all the meat on one side. It could be better! Therefore, only three stars. The staff were also very unfriendly... well, we were full... otherwise, it could be better!

They omitted two citizens from our order, even after we asked. Very bad.

My daughter wasn't allowed to exchange the toy. Great 👍🏼 Cleanliness is also a foreign concept here. I wonder what the kitchen looks like???

Everything's OK. Friendly staff. Good service. Beautiful location in the Haardt Mountains. Between Neustadt and Grünstadt. I've been coming here for decades. I even had a dear friend from WUMA who worked here. But it's certainly not always easy with so many customer requests.

As per other reviews by English people. Expecting a McDonalds to have an English speaking member of staff in Germany is disgusting. No wonder they think we are arrogant! However, we found the opposite. The members of staff were very helpful & we had no issues. All smiles. We learn the basics, good morning, please, thank you etc. This gets you a helpful member of staff. Try harder next time, Miss reviewer.

Never experienced such unfriendly service. No "thank you," no "please," no smile. Simply abysmal. The service world here isn't just slowly going downhill, it's quickly and surely going downhill. I've always enjoyed coming here, but sorry, it's really awful.

An absolute disgrace, never again! Our visit to the McDonald's branch in Bad Dürkheim was unfortunately a complete disappointment. The fries were old, dry, and inedible, and one of our meals was missing a drink altogether. When we asked about it, we were met with a tired "mistakes happen," but what we experienced was far more than a minor slip-up. The conditions in the branch were appalling. It looked as if it hadn't been properly cleaned in months: tables, chairs, windows, stair railings! Everything was dirty, sticky, or covered in cobwebs. We really didn't know where to sit without completely losing our appetite. See the pictures – the condition speaks for itself. Hygiene and cleanliness don't seem to be a priority here, which is unacceptable, especially in a restaurant. This has nothing to do with a minor oversight; it seems more like gross negligence or pure indifference. I'm sure McDonald's as a brand has different standards, but what's being offered here is simply unacceptable. Bottom line: We definitely won't be coming back, and I can only advise anyone not to visit this location... no matter how hungry they are.

McDonald's always closes at 10 p.m., and you have to go through the completely overcrowded drive-in. Absolutely the worst McDonald's in the area... Will be avoiding it from now on.

I quickly grabbed a McFlurry in the heat. Can't go wrong. The cheeseburger was supposedly fresh, but it looked like the unfriendly shift manager had been sitting on it.

Disappointing visit to McDonald's – service was a disaster My last visit to McDonald's was unfortunately anything but satisfactory. The service left a lot to be desired: My order had to be corrected four times before I finally received what I ordered. The employees seemed overwhelmed and unattentive, which led to long waits and a lot of confusion. Overall, the experience was very frustrating and didn't meet my expectations of a quick and hassle-free restaurant visit. What a shame!

Never again! People who think after work, "Yeah, I have to hurry today..." are practically ripped off because half of the food is missing. I'm going to dip my big toe in the sweet and sour sauce because the nuggets are simply missing from both meals and have been miserably left in the display. It wasn't the first time, but it will be the last time at McDonald's Bad Dürkheim :)

Always check your order! Apparently the staff can't count to four! Unfortunately, I didn't do that today, and half of my €31 order wasn't packed.

The outdoor area and especially the green spaces are very unkempt.

...The employee "Benjamin" is very attentive and extremely polite! The store manager (?) with the turquoise hair even gave me my order once even though I'd forgotten my wallet. I brought the money the next day without any hassle...it was super easy 😃

I often order takeout from there. They do a solid job. However, you should really refrain from making changes to your order. Unfortunately, that only works in very rare cases. You pay extra for ingredients, and they're usually not included. Unfortunately, I don't have time to check whether everything is included, or to cook and inspect each burger. Please train your staff a little more to pay attention to the requests that appear on the screen and cost customers money.

The staff are unfortunately unfriendly. As a tourist, I expect a friendly, English-speaking staff member who doesn't rudely order me to learn German. I found the exact opposite

Every now and then you need fast food

First, we were told that we weren't allowed to buy an apple pie with points. We refused to pay for the apple pie, so we told the employee very clearly that we wouldn't take it. He replied that it was already out, but then suddenly he said that the change we had counted out wasn't enough. We told him again that we didn't want the apple pie because it was still on the machine. What happened? We paid for the apple pie and you received it, but the points were also deducted. A very incompetent and rude employee!

Hello I think the food was delicious. The surroundings were nice, the atmosphere a bit tense because it was very busy. Now let's talk about my experience today. I was there with a friend. We ordered a McSmart, a 20-pack of nuggets, and a Coke from the vending machine. Everything went well up to that point. We then wanted to redeem an apple tart for 200 points. That also worked out well. We indicated that we wanted to pay in cash at the checkout and were willing to do so. The most incompetent cashier I've ever seen then said that points don't work and took the apple tart out. We had already prepared the exact amount we needed to pay (€21.47) and gave it to him. In a photo, you can see that the apple tart was still in the order. I pointed this out to the cashier several times and asked him to remove the apple tart because he wanted us to pay for it. He talked about how it hadn't been in the order for a long time and that we should take the Coke out. We also explained to him several times that we already knew it was only supposed to cost €21.47 and that he had simply added the apple pie on top. The bottom line of the whole story: I now know why he works at Megges because he apparently had a 6.0 average in school, and as you can see from the other photo, we ended up getting the apple pie we paid for, which we didn't want. By the way, the points were also deducted. I would be happy if I could get my points and maybe a small compensation. Normally, I would write "Best regards," but I'm writing instead. Subject: Finishing work early or what?! Dear Mäckes Team Bad Dürkheim, Congratulations – you've managed to ruin my evening culinary experience. I arrive at your store full of hope for some greasy satisfaction, only to find that you've already closed. So, the drive-thru somehow worked. What time exactly did it close again? Did I miss something, or has the McFlurry now been replaced by disappointment with extra sauce? I thought Mäckes would always be there for us – like a bad ex, but at least it's reliable. Instead: a gaping void, not a cheeseburger anywhere in sight. You could have at least put up a sign saying "Sorry, not in the mood today" – that would have been honest, at least. There were three of us (a mother with two boys, ages 11 and 14) here around 2 p.m. It was quiet, so not very busy, and the service was very attentive and friendly. The food was brought to our table quickly (three menus). The fries were hot, crispy, and delicious, and everything else was of the usual high quality.

It's unbelievable how much rubbish and dirt there is on the floor, the table itself wiped with toilet paper. If there had been a lot going on, that could happen, but the store wasn't exactly overcrowded with 7 people.

The worst McDonald's we have ever experienced. It was very dirty and full of rubbish everywhere. We ordered with our cell phone and ended up waiting over 90 minutes for our food. Over 30 guests came to the restaurant and all received their food before us. I pointed this out to the staff more than 10 times, but in the end they ignored me and didn't respond to me at all. We'll never come here again.

If another McDonald's is on The path lies somewhere else I was very hungry and so am got there around 12:00 am... Ordering can only be done at 2 machines because the others are broken. The Tables are all smeared and dirty. There is trash everywhere and at the tray delivery, everything piles up and falls down. Was in the women's toilet who shit a toilet seat in the The other cabin was in the corner pissed. I asked the employees about it pointed out, we came to the conclusion that yes Soon there will be cleaning It closes at 3, not half past 1 ... well, it was really excessive disappointed. I was just hungry though next time I will think again

Friendly staff and really fast service.

The worst McDonald's in all of Germany is the one in Bad Dürkheim. The restaurant area is so dirty that you can't even sit down. The staff has no idea what they're doing. Even after waiting an hour, they still can't get your order right, and when you complain, they don't even show a hint of shame. The food is disgusting—luckily we lost our patience and didn't have to eat that garbage! Never again McDonald's!

Really awesome, underground! No staff, the restaurant is not clean and inhumane waiting times. I really can't recommend it, it's better to go to a restaurant nearby Tip to the owner: more staff and it will work

It's freezing cold in here. You can't last long. There is no table service, the food is consistently cold (burgers, fries, chicken nuggets) Not recommended at all

Very long waiting time even though nothing is going on

What's wrong with the saleswoman with the pink streaks in her hair and the American accent? She is totally aggressive, cheeky and impudent. This was the second time that she cheekily and condescendingly approached my wife and now me at the MC Drive window from the side. Maybe the boss will read this and tell her that if she's having a bad day or problems, please don't take it out on her customers. I asked her directly and objectively about who she thought she was and whether that was her usual way of dealing with customers. Then she simply ran away. That's not clear at all!

McDrive occasionally takes a little longer. Unfortunately, the play area for the children on the upper floor has been broken for years.

Actually a shame! We ordered plant nuggets and got chicken nuggets. I think that's what no one really wants to experience, regardless of whether they're vegetarian or not, when they're given what they don't want to eat. We also ordered strawberry milkshakes and then got vanilla.

And all this even though there was nothing going on. Maybe we disturbed her during small talk with other colleagues...

Was on January 15th. around 9:30 p.m. in the restaurant. It was very cold in the restaurant, people were sitting at the tables in jackets, and the lights were probably not fully turned on. Do you want/need to save? Food was lukewarm and somehow looked grubby. It's not the first time I've had this negative impression.

We are super disappointed. We were ignored for 15 minutes, the staff was unfriendly. The branch manager noticed but didn't say anything on his own initiative. Only when I spoke to him did he tell me that we could of course order. But it wasn't enough for an apology, which would have been the minimum. There was once a saying with "fish" and "head" but I can't quite put it together ;). I visited this branch for the last time.

I understand a lot when the store is full, waiting around 30 minutes, etc., but I don't understand why people refuse to order a hamburger, which I unfortunately forgot to order for my son. The store was closed at 8:45 p.m. due to high traffic. When I unfortunately noticed as I was leaving that I had forgotten a hamburger and went back in through the side door, I was told that the shop was closed and no orders would be accepted, when I mentioned that I was only missing a hamburger and unfortunately my son was only missing his chicken nuggets has repeated that the store is now closed. This McDonald's has disappointed me many times but that was the tip of the iceberg. We were customers for the last time.

Probably the worst McDonald’s branch we’ve been to. Far too few seats because the upper area is cordoned off. The staff didn't do anything, only described one tray as complete even though it was only half. The light was off, then they “played around” until the light was completely on. We really felt like we were being fooled...not to mention the internet reception. The app can therefore not be used at all! Were really very disappointed.

For 2 years the quality and cleanliness has been slowly but surely decreasing and the waiting time increasing. Probably not enough employees.

I got a 20 minute old burger that was prepared at 11:52 p.m. and I didn't even order it and didn't put my special requests on it. My husband's burger was prepared at 12:15 a.m. Doesn't work for me at all. I won't go there anymore.

If you know one, you know them all. After years at Megges again. Two menus, one nine nuggets and boom, 30 bucks eaten! That wouldn't have been much more expensive for two people in a "normal" restaurant. But definitely much better. There are three points for eating because of the nuggets. They have always been unbeatable. The rest is simply interchangeable and disappointing. Maybe we'll try it again in a few years. Or not. We'll see. Oh, by the way, you could have eaten from the floor. Enough laying around!!!

By far the worst McDonald's I've ever experienced. Waited 20 minutes for simple food because the only service person was completely overwhelmed. Nobody could have known that on Sunday afternoon there was something going on at the only fast food place within a 40km radius. A perfect example if you want to save on staff with a money printing machine.

Unfortunately it took forever. What are the ordering machines for if they don't make me faster? Purely to save personnel. The cubbies were overflowing and the tables were sticky. I almost have to say like in most MC's restaurants. The reduced staff is noticeable everywhere.

The restaurant is open until 1 a.m. and the ice cream machine is dismantled at 9:25 p.m. and is not put back together until 12:30 a.m. So: unfortunately no ice cream for customers who don't want to wait that long. Very bad service in our opinion...

We waited 45 minutes until we could order at the drive-thru. Only 2 employees available? That can't be true. And then eat everything cold.

I had to wait 20 minutes for a burger, fries and a drink, even though it wasn't busy (3 orders in the queue). The staff is very unfriendly and they don't seem to get along well with each other either, the atmosphere was very irritable. I will not visit this McDonald's again.

There was a problem at the checkout at the ordering machine, no note, no number and no one helped. I spoke to the boss on site and briefly looked at the computer then went to the back, packed her bag and went out the back door. What's going on in the store? The boss locked the main entrance door beforehand so that no one could get in, only out the side of the door. That the shift management quietly and secretly hides its bottomless insolence. Unfortunately I can't give any negative points here.

The nice lady at the drive-in this evening [after waiting 5 minutes at the intercom] around 9 p.m. was not only very unfriendly and snappy, no, both the food and the ice cream were wrong. She obviously only understood half of it. The food was wrong/cold and hard and the taste was unreasonable.

What's going on there can't be expressed with the word chaotic it's disgustingly miserable there are animals in the restaurant the dust is so thick if it fell on your burger you'd have to look for it... unfriendly and no one's conversations with the staff are so disgusting would like to know when the ladies have their periods. Too lazy to walk to the table, the numbers are shouted around. (The blonde employee also said loudly that she doesn't feel like walking around and complains to her colleagues that he gave out table numbers) We had to wait more than 20 minutes for a happy meal and hamburger royal Ts. Had slight difficulties with the app and the coupons. The employee at the drive inn apparently didn't move quickly enough. Instead of helping me, she immediately became rude. Didn't understand my problem. I then drove to the front, told her how rude she was and then drove away. It was the last time there for me and I will continue to tell the story.

Slowest McDonald's I've ever been to

Even though you show up within the specified opening time, you are sent away shortly before 00:00 on Saturday evening with the words: “We are closing” and that as a local emergency service, thanks for nothing

I haven't seen such chaos and dirt at McDonald's in a long time. We probably waited 20 minutes. There wasn't much going on. There was plenty of staff but it was totally chaotic. All the return carts were full of trays and the McDonald's was dirty. Disgusting. Was here for the first and last time

It was really tasty, just as you would expect from Mägges! But it took 30 minutes for 3 chessburgers, fries and ice cream. There wasn't much going on. How does that happen? People seem very annoyed!
