McDonald's in Emsbüren

We went there last Saturday after our vacation because our son was craving chicken nuggets. The food only gets 1 point because he has been struggling with diarrhea ever since. The service only gets 2 points because the staff preferred to chatter and the service staff who were supposed to clean up stood around smelling strongly of sweat. The ambience just doesn't get a point because it was just dirty. You don't expect much at McDonalds, but the toilets smelled awful. And there was dirt everywhere. Old dirt. The corners and tiles were soaked from top to bottom. I was really shocked and wanted to cancel the meal. If the toilets look like that, you don't want to know what the kitchens look like. You should actually get the veterinary office involved. The chattering staff should clean instead.

This McDonald's is located as a kind of 'car stop' next to the A31 in an industrial area. Since we only used this McDonald's for our needs, we can only rate the toilets, and they were very clean.

**Update October 20th** Despite the holiday season and the full shop, the crew had everything well under control. Here the franchisee obviously recognized the need and took action. Super **old** What is there to say about McDonalds? Nowadays there is actually the same quality everywhere. However, the hygiene concept is problematic. The store was hopelessly overcrowded today and due to the overload due to full seats and full drive-ins, takeaway customers were also concentrated in the store. I received my food after about 25 minutes. Quality was top - but in times of Corona it's better to keep driving.

Tastes like any other MD. Here, near the A31, “all hell” broke loose. Our order came quickly and the restaurant and sanitary rooms were clean.

When we want to take the menu with us, sauce is ALWAYS missing. The fries tasted different and there was a hair in my cola.

It was very crowded that evening, which wouldn't have been a problem. After waiting for over 35 minutes, I asked how long it would take until the food came. Apparently the order got lost. It wasn't nice, but it can happen. But it would have been nice if there had been an “excuse me” or “sorry”.

Rarely have I seen a Mac Donalds as dirty as this one. It doesn't matter when you come, the toilets are absolutely crazy and dirty. It feels like you get all the diseases you can get here!! Disgusting greetings!!!!

It's always enough for a short stopover with a café. The food is of standard McDonalds quality. Unfortunately, the toilet rooms are hardly checked and smell extremely unpleasant.

McDonald's is McDonald's. So how do I rate it compared to many other branches? Firstly: The burgers ordered at the terminal were freshly prepared and did not come from the "heap". Secondly, the branch was extremely clean overall, which is not always the case elsewhere. Third: The staff was extremely friendly.

Had to wait 1 hour for 1 normal hamburger, 1 Royal TS, 1 Fanta and 1 ice cream. After complaining, things suddenly went quickly. Something like that is impossible

The store was almost empty at 9 a.m. this morning, but all the tables were still dirty from the day before and the staff had zero motivation and was super slow. Too bad :(

It's a good idea to take a break here on the way to/from your North Sea vacation. Shortly behind the motorway exit are the large car park and the restaurant. Lots of seating options also outside. I don't have to say anything about the general quality of the food ;-) We ordered at the terminal and had the food delivered to our table: unfortunately the fries were already cold. Since the toilet is used by many people here, the cleanliness is unfortunately very poor.

Very clean and very friendly staff

I ordered a McCrispy chicken and it wasn't quite cooked through. Some of the meat was mushy. Inedible, not recommended and will never come back.

Unfassbar unfreundliche Mitarbeiter. Patzig und sehr wenig hilfsbereit. Immerhin der Milchkaffee war heiß und schmeckte.

Apparently, when there is a big rush, no one is responsible for the toilets, the finest urine oasis. Toilet lid is missing and the floor is wet.

This store is unbelievable, I ordered a menu, a mc rip and a medium fries.. the menu was supposed to come with a large fries.. the only big thing about it was the box.. But you could get everything in the women's toilet, free mushrooms, use hygiene products and toilet paper in all varieties... ugh this shop..

Were on Sunday September 22nd. 24 there. The toilets were very dirty. Unfortunately I had to use the toilet. Didn't feel very comfortable 😢 And you should wipe the tables outside every now and then.

As always, food lukewarm... The floor is cleaned by machine in the restaurant where other people eat..Not so appetizing..

Unfortunately, such unfriendly staff, especially a certain lady who is preparing coffee. The cappuccino we ordered was far too hot and absolutely undrinkable, and also had no milk foam. I kindly pointed this out to her and asked her to make a new one. She then became abusive and insulted us in another language. If you don't feel like coming into contact with customers, please look for another job or stop hiring people like that.

This McDonald's is part of a truck stop. It was pleasantly clean when we visited. In the men's toilets, for example, there was very little stickiness on the floor. This is significantly better than most Serways locations. The parking lot is spacious and there are a few charging stations. Big plus point: a McDonalds with parking spaces where you can easily take a break with a car with a trailer. Class 👍 There are a few benches next to the parking lot, right by the artificial canal/pond of the neighboring garden center. There are outdoor spaces here as an alternative to those directly at the restaurant. The food offering appears to be similar to that of other McDonald's branches.

They can't make milkshakes here in this branch either...the shake was way too cold, there were ice crystals in it, and here too the shake was way too thin...at Burgerking you get better shakes and 100ml more!!

Just impersonal. Everything is done via computer. I'd rather go to the truck stop. The coffee tastes good. And there's a smile too.🙂

Rarely seen such a clean fast food restaurant. The staff was very attentive and friendly.

Too little vegetarian selection and the ones that are available don't taste good. I actually avoid these fast food chains and will continue to avoid them, plus it's dirty everywhere and the toilet is a horror

The service and food weren't that good. There were three things wrong with my order. The shop was also rather dirty even though there wasn't much going on and you had the feeling that the staff were overwhelmed.

Food was incorrect, took >25 minutes to get the order, didn’t have most items. Awful service, food and atmosphere. Manager was angry we were asking about our food after 23 minutes.

I have no idea what's going on with you, but today there was someone at the McDrive who apparently had a bad day, no idea, but is really bottom drawer, putting someone there who has zero self-control. I wanted to place my order in the normal way and he speaks German so badly that it seems to annoy him that he is simply shouted at, how many times I had to repeat myself just because he doesn't understand me. He doesn't like it anymore... Never had any problems otherwise, I was there for the last time today. It was around 12:00 p.m.... Gives the guy some training where he learns how to deal with customers.

7:00 a.m. in the morning. Tables all dirty. Nothing cleared. The staff is more or less just hanging around. Toilets also leave a lot to be desired. Worst MC I've ever been to. Next time the truck stop opposite.

Sunday morning 7:10 a.m., all tables dirty and many tables not cleared. Toilets are also very unclean. Bad mood staff, people can hardly say good morning and ignore the customers. It's not possible to order there either, and you'll only be told after asking several times. And there is no nice interaction here. This Mac is really bad.

Long wait for a coffee, too few staff in the serving area. If the guests didn't explain the ordering process, they would still be standing at the counter in 2 hours with the money in their hand.

It's a typical McDonald's with lots of seating inside and outside. When we were there on a Saturday morning, orders took a little longer to be ready and another customer had two errors with their order. However, my meal was fine. If you fancy a McDonald's breakfast, you're welcome to stop by here, but you should plan a little more time.

Everything as you would expect, food, service and quality. Unfortunately there was little choice for the Happy Meal (Smurfs) and the table wasn't wiped.

Classic McDonald’s close to the highway. Here you are prepared for a lot of visitors. The staff was friendly and on the ball. There is a fenced area for dogs.

A very nice McDonald's, with a cozy atmosphere because there is a nice large outdoor area. Everything was clean and tidy and state of the art. We found it very nice that the children were given a small Trolli Burger as a gift when they ordered forks and straws again. And there was a dog park! We saw it for the first time - very nice!! There were also large parking spaces in front of the McDonald's, which made it easy to park a caravan.

A really nice Mc for one right on the highway. Mc Drive is also available! The outside area is very nice with a few small stone fountains and fairly clean sofas. There is also a notice in the restaurant asking guests to make suggestions for the location! They are also happy to be there for you if you have any complaints etc. It's rare to see that this is explicitly pointed out with contact details 🙏🏻

Unfortunately, McDonald's has deteriorated significantly in recent years. The burgers are smaller and sticky, the fries are soft. Toilets very dirty. But the main thing is that an employee removes cobwebs in the sales area...

Actually a nice place to take a break during a longer journey. But the unfortunately very obviously placed jammer for internet reception makes it impossible to use coupons or the like. It's a shame, otherwise it could be very nice...

Basically a McDonalds like any other, but with a significantly higher number of visitors than elsewhere. The taste is just like any other McDonald's, but you can tell from the burgers that they are slapped together quickly, quickly. I had to stack my McCrispy together before I could eat it.

Very nice branch. I always order via app, it doesn't take very long to prepare. Employees always friendly. You can stand outside in the parking lot and eat. All clean. Several electric charging stations. The only thing I didn't like was the breakfast muffin. Otherwise highly recommended, directly on the A31 towards Emden.

The fries were extremely greasy, the Big Mac Bacon wasn't prepared properly, there was only one slice of bacon in the packaging next to the burger. The second pane was completely missing. The staff didn't think it was necessary to exchange a single word with me, even after I greeted them. The toilets were not clean and the dining room had a canteen feeling. Some of the ordering terminals were down.

It was busy at lunchtime, the burgers and fries were hot and fine. The Cola Zero I ordered tasted like everything but no Cola Zero. I have no idea what was in there, but I didn't dare drink it anymore. It's very unappetizing to eat in the store. Many tables were dirty but the biggest drawback was the amount of flies. There were so many of them, you couldn't sit without constantly having to chase away at least 5-10 flies from your food. Even after we have implemented ourselves once. I've never experienced that before and unfortunately it really ruins the desire to eat.

This is the worst experience we ever had at a McDonald’s. When we ordered we already saw the staff being rude to people that ordered. When our bag was placed on the counter, nobody said something to us. We didn’t really think anything of it. When we got our drink, we didn’t get a straw. We asked the lady behind the counter if there were any straws, she told us in an aggressive way: “No we are out of them.” And see didn’t even give us a look. She just continued what she was doing. We never got treated this way at a McDonald’s. They won’t see us again..

Great service and is right on the highway

There is a dog playground here 🥰. We were able to eat and our dog played with other dogs whose people didn't mind the fact that a dog was there. Truly a dream.

Food was good and staff was pleasant for a 1:00 a.m. visit. However, the restaurant has a really bad fly problem. Otherwise this would be a good location.

The penultimate time. We have had a good meal here every year. But after we spent more in Imst for 1 person than here for 3 people, we also ignore this one.

The tables and chairs were all very sticky. You don't have to say anything about food if you know McDonald's. I won't be taking any breaks indoors here in the future.

Worst McDonald's I've ever been to. Ice melted, extras couldn't be carried out, nobody speaks German and therefore you can't express any wishes. The only nice one was the man who wanted to give us a balloon in Mc Drive (all adults).

We could drink a coffee and go to a little place and then there was a dog meadow for our dog to run around in, which was really great.

Rarely have I had such bad McDonald's cheeseburgers. They were “standard” with no special requests. A disaster in terms of taste. Onions were probably out and cucumbers were in short supply 🤷‍♂️

If you want to know what hell feels like, go eat there! I couldn't finish my meal because it's so hot there, this restaurant has no air conditioning at all, poor workers have difficulty breathing, they work in inhumane conditions, sweat drips from their faces while they serve the food. Never again!

Quite good in itself - Eckstein - but there's too much going on here. My case: Ordered Cola Zero without an “ingredient” and received a Cola-colored drink that was inedible. The finish also had bubble gum aromas. Emsbüren - not anymore for now

Today I was there and it was totally disgusting because firstly the restaurant was too hot and secondly the staff were really sweet and there was definitely no climate and I also changed my mind about taking some food with me because it was too horrible after I have seen these things. I feel sorry for these employees who work there, in a word disaster it is not human

Full house, but the service was still good. Empty tablets were quickly picked up from drop-off points. The toilets were continuously cleaned. The chicken nuggets were crispy.

Off the highway and a visit to McDonald's. This one is redesigned and looks great. Lots of parking options. Ordered and waited at the terminal. I saw how guests needed help at the ordering terminal, then asked the employees and they shook their heads and said they had no idea!! Service is zero. Even the employees at the counters are so unfriendly and barely understand the local language!! We were shocked 😳

Service was very friendly, the food was prepared appetizingly despite the large number of customers and, above all, delivered hot and quickly to the table. What can be criticized is the cleanliness within the restaurant. The tables are dirty and are probably only cleaned every now and then. The biggest disaster, however, is the toilets. No matter whether for women or men. I don't want to go into detail, but why doesn't the shift manager pay attention to this? I didn't know whether I should sit down or just stand and let everything take its course. Wouldn't have made any difference to the existing picture. But you have respect for the people who have to clean it. If it were to be cleaned... When I see the brush, etc., I wonder what the preparation of the food looks like. There it would be a case for the public order office. And this is the case all the time, as this isn't the first time we've stopped there. Mr Eckstein, it's great that you have over 40 restaurants, but you also have to pay attention to details.

Complete horror! Who gave them the franchise

We were able to sit nicely in the open area. The cappuccino tasted good.

There was a failure in the ordering system so that for some of the orders at the terminals the printout didn't come out at all or came out late (so that you didn't have it because you had already gone to the counter to find out whether the order had arrived). Despite the missing printout, you received your order. Some still had their plastic display with the order number, other groups/families received their order as a goodwill gesture so as not to cause dissatisfaction among the customers. Despite the system failure, the problem was solved simply and easily, sometimes perhaps to the detriment of the office but to the advantage of the customer. Well done 👍
